We have all been on for heading up to 20mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health
most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it

And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did
Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots

I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.
To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely - and we are finding it def harder to keep weight off with lower doses

only 2 words to say 😂😂

@NippyNinjaCrab I stayed in Dreams Jardin Tropical Resort in Costa Adeje. Bit pricey but I loved it, and was on my own and it felt very safe. Went B&B and the breakfast buffet was amazing, only had to eat once later in the day. I like the walks along the prom - 4 miles in either direction. It was a much busier area than other parts I'd been to, but that also meant there were lots of lovely restaurant choices.

NippyNinjaCrab · 12/04/2026 12:40

@20bloodypounds that sounds fab i will look that one up. That would suit us being just B&B too then it's not as restrictive xxx

I feel really nauseous the last 2 days as the MJ is building up in my system. According to Shotsy i am at a mahoosive 3mg 😂😂
Peppermint tea on the go again, we were at Morrisons and I had the watery mouth down the laundry aisle 🤢

I’m reminding myself of the big rainbow, little rainbow. The black dress I’m wearing for mil funeral looks really good, it’s a size 8 and fits easily. Not trying to hide my stomach makes dressing much easier. I’ll take a picture of myself as I think I look quite nice.

Blondeshavemorefun · 13/04/2026 22:08

You are slim @FurForksSake from the pics you have posted before and on. Size 8 is

I’ve eaten so much chocolate. I just can’t eat normally. I need to get back on track again.

Sorry to hear this. I haven't got any tips to be honest. I find it easy to resist chocolate on MJ...before i could easily eat a big bar and more...BUT we all have our temptations. As you know mine is wine..Blondes is usually crisps but she manages to control the amount and can still enjoy a bag. All I can think of is that we all need a treat in moderation but shouldnt replace proper meals with eating/drinking 'rubbish' Eating chocolate, crisps, custard creams and drinking wine should only be done in addition to 3 healthy meals (sound like i have got it all sussed don't I?) 😱😅😱 i do think it's vital to eat those 3 healthy meals and not replace with treats. What do other people think/advise 🤔 It's a challenge for many of us.

In the meantime I am stuck at 120.7 pounds for last month and feeling very drained. The hospital rang me today but I missed the call as I was out with my daughter's celebrating the eldest's birthday. Hoping the call was about my surgery 🤞

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/04/2026 22:05

Indeed. Crisps is my thing

booze doesn’t interest me really an I used to love gin. Have the odd one now

chocolate - yes the odd mint cock bar may pass my lips

crisps. Still have a bag a day. Sometimes 2

Sometimes there is a cancellation and they call you. Letters take so long these days they can arrive too late. I worked in appointments in NHS during lockdown as I couldnt do my travel job...it was chaos!

FurForksSake · 15/04/2026 08:15

Does your trust still send letters? I get all mine on the app or via text to link to the letter.

I still write letters and then my admin team send them. But we now are moving very slowly across to sending them as pdfs. Very slowly. The nhs is ridiculous, I tell all my patients appointments via text or email or call.

Yes they send letters..snail mail! I use the NHS app but no letters uploaded there. I got a call yesterday but no idea who from or which department. I am with 3 clinics...bone health - not had an appointment yet, but I have osteoporosis as side effect of hyperparathyroid; endocrinology- for surgery and back pain - for injections. I just wish i knew who had called but no way of finding out as every department works separately 😱

Azuresky68 · 17/04/2026 07:17

WWJ day...moved my jab back to Fridays by jabbing every 8 days. Just stuck around 8st 8 and 8 st 9. My preferred weight was 8 st 5 but not been that since before Christmas, however I maintained that for nearly 6 months on 10. Not restricting my calories to 1000 a day at the moment due to fatigue from medical issues. On 1250/1350 a day so can only expect to maintain/lose very very slowly. Good luck to any WWJ'ers today and to everyone in our lovely group.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/04/2026 07:42

Your body may just prefer 8/8 8/9 @Azuresky68. I don’t think it’s easy or healthy to live off 1000

so 12/1300 I think is a good bit healthy amount Sorry so tired - hop you hey some rest and maybe take iron tablets if you don’t already

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun..are you still on 10? My tiredness is caused by hyperparathyroid issue (awaiting operation) and taking codeine with occaissional amaltryptiline at night. I don't think I need iron but my calcium levels are too high.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/04/2026 19:05

no I’ve dropped to 7.5 as want to get back to 5 and I was on that for months maintaining. Till dropped to 2.5 and went tits up
