@taratill sorry meant to add a campervan is great! Go wherever takes your fancy and suit the weather, (assuming off work lol). We will be putting the house on the market before we go away so no more for us for a while.

taratill · 02/06/2026 18:01

@Beehivebabe 2lb down is amazing. Has the constipation eased up?

Will definitely sort something in the camper, will probably aim to do so before the schools break up for summer.

A house move sounds exciting!

Beehivebabe · 02/06/2026 18:25

@taratill. Yes thank you! Didn’t stop going yesterday so think I’m ok for a few days lol.

FitHappens · 02/06/2026 23:17

Seriestwo · 02/06/2026 08:41

I hope you are feeling better now, fit.

also, 13kg in 4 weeks? Wow. I’d maybe do that if they cut off a bit of leg

@Seriestwo no sorry it was 13kg in around 9 weeks. I started my MJ journey on 25th March.

@taratill they honestly didn’t say much about the MJ.. they wanted to rule out pancreatitis which they did thank goodness, but they never really said what they thought it was, just that I should go back if it didn’t settle. They said it could be gallbladder related even though I don’t have a gallbladder… hopefully it was just a one off and it doesn’t happen again. So far so good on the 2.5mg, although don’t feel like it’s kicked in yet…

MoneyJo · 04/06/2026 07:41

Down another pound today, and into the next stone bracket. Honestly I could cry with relief. I last weighed this 8 years ago when I lost a load of weight but put it back on after. I feel more hopeful with MJ that I can keep losing and keep it off. 1 stone 12 down now.

taratill · 04/06/2026 09:46

@FitHappens that's really scary, hope you don't have it happen again.

That's brilliant @MoneyJo , I've got another 5lbs to go to get to my next stone bracket, although I seem to have lost 3lbs in just over a week which is really good for me as I've had weeks of plateauing! Did you decide whether to up your dose or not?

I've upped my exercise this week which could be why my weight is going down. I'm making sure 10,000 steps a day and I'm doing some simple strength exercise (just standing from sitting on a chair without using arms 10x3 and wall push ups 10x3) each day. I'm feeling positive about staying at 3.75 for a while longer.

Food wise I'm sticking to high protein/ low carb. I've only eaten bread once since March and (other than when I was on an all inclusive girls weekend) I haven't touched anything like Pizza, which used to be my nemesis. I've never had much of a sweet tooth so chocolate / sweets / ice cream are not too much of a challenge.

I found a really nice and healthy recipe which I've now had a couple of times - https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/griddled-tuna-bean-tomato-salad I don't have much of the dressing as that is high in fat/ sugar content but it is delicious even in a small quantity.

Griddled tuna with bean & tomato salad

The fresh tuna in this dish has a lovely meaty texture that's even better when marinated before cooking

Beehivebabe · 04/06/2026 10:01

@FitHappens. I agree thats scary, you read about the possible issues but pray and hope it doesn’t happen to you. Good luck going forward.

@MoneyJo brilliant! Reaching a new stone bracket is so inspiring, keeps you going!

@taratill Well done on your 3lbs off too! Thanks for that recipe sounds lovely. I eat a lot of tuna, but usually tinned rather than tuna steak so I might try that.

I’m 39lbs down and 2lbs to go until my next stone bracket yay! Going to resist weighing for a few days now. Leaping ahead if I can reach the next bracket after that, it will be 20 years since I was last that weight 😅 but that’s a long way off yet!!

hope everyone else on the thread is doing ok x

taratill · 04/06/2026 10:23

39lbs down is simply amazing @Beehivebabe! You must be feeing brilliant!

MoneyJo · 04/06/2026 11:38

Thanks @taratill and @Beehivebabe

I realised I don't have to decide about the next pen for a few weeks as I have one or two more jabs on my current pen and a whole new 5 in the fridge. As it stands now I think I would stick on 5 since I am still losing steadily, even though it is feeling a bit harder. I think it's good for me to have to make the effort and learn the new habits. If I stop the steady loss in the next 4 weeks I will go up to 7.5.

taratill · 04/06/2026 12:00

@MoneyJo that sounds like a good plan.

I think I want to stay on a low dose for as long as possible. I've got a lot to lose and worried about going up to quickly then stalling and having nowhere to go with it. Then there is also the money consideration. So, while I'm losing I'm sticking with the 3.75 because that eeks an extra dose per pen out of the 5mg which saves a bit of money.

MoneyJo · 04/06/2026 12:28

That's my thinking too @taratill

Weighed in this morning and total weight loss of 10kg / 22lbs since 8th March. I’m happy with this so far, I haven’t weighed what I weigh now since 2020. I’d like to lose another 6-7lbs at least and see how I feel.
I have a holiday to look forward to in August so it’ll be nice going away slimmer and feeling a lot happier in myself.
I’ve had work colleagues notice my weight loss recently which has given me a buzz

MoneyJo · 05/06/2026 07:03

That's great @ETPhoneHome19 and nice that people have noticed. I've lost 26lb and only one person has commented so far. I guess I had more to lose so it's not as obvious yet.

Beehivebabe · 05/06/2026 10:40

@ETPhoneHome19. Well done! It’s a good booster if people notice too.

I’m in the same boat as @MoneyJo in that not many people have noticed or mentioned! I think when you are very big (as I was/am!) people don’t want to be rude in case they are suggesting you needed to lose weight lol. Hope so anyway! My family say they really notice my shape changing and of course some of my clothes are quite big on me now so I’m happy. Now If only I could get the constipation under control it would all be perfect lol x

taratill · 05/06/2026 14:47

I've just come back from a 6 mile walk which is way easier than it was when I was carry an extra 24lbs of lard, which is the amount I've lost in total since March.

The difference @ETPhoneHome19 for me is that I still have 8lbs to go to no longer be obese! Target weight loss for me is another 4 stone off. Well done to you for being close to target, that must feel great and you will feel fantastic on your holiday.

My mother is the only person who has commented that she thinks I've lost some weight. I can see it in my face for sure.

Sorry you are still struggling with the constipation @Beehivebabe , i'm having sightly the opposite problem. I've come back from my walk, eaten an omelette and its disagreed with me. I didn't eat before I went for the walk so was starving when I got back.

Beehivebabe · 05/06/2026 16:09

@taratill. I’m going to get some chia seeds, although my daughter said not to overdo them as they can make you constipated. I mean wth haha.
I’m not eating eggs as the thought of them is making me feel sick but if they had that effect I would power through!

taratill · 05/06/2026 16:49

oh no, I love eggs, I don't seem to have completely gone off any food. The chia seed definitely work. Just make sure you drink loads of water with them x

MoneyJo · 05/06/2026 18:38

I swear by chia and flaxseed - keep me regular and fill me up.

taratill · 05/06/2026 21:06

@MoneyJo I haven't tried flaxseed, does that work in the same way as chia? In that it needs to soak a bit?

MoneyJo · 05/06/2026 21:07

Yes it does. I put them both in my yogurt or more often cottage cheese. I only leave them soak in for 5 minutes.

taratill · 05/06/2026 21:13

thanks, definitely going to try that.

ETPhoneHome19 · 05/06/2026 21:14

Never heard of putting it in cottage cheese! Interesting idea

taratill · 05/06/2026 21:26

Definitely an interesting idea, what do you eat the cottage cheese with @MoneyJo ?

I haven't eaten cottage cheese since starting on this, mostly because I don't know what to eat it with.

I kind of stick to a fairly set meal routine of things that I know are high protein/ low carb/ low calorie so definitely interested in more meal ideas!
