hi, I thought I would start a new group. I am waiting for my medical review before being issued with my first dose

Got a massive headache today. Need to order pen no 3. Will stick to 5mg as it’s working well enough. Where are people ordering their meds from? My next pen is costing a whopping £189.99. I suppose I should shop around but it’s such a palaver!

ShebaQueen · 08/05/2026 12:06

I'm with Medexpress @Teabing and have been since the start. I'm on 5mg too and need to reorder and price is the same as yours, £189.99. I am not sure I can be bothered switching, taking videos and more pics etc., but it is probably worth it to save £

Beehivebabe · 08/05/2026 12:13

@rockstarshoes well done! I’m doing 3.75 out of a 5 pen and unless things change a lot, I will stick to this for a while.
the only issue I’m having is constipation and I don’t want to make that worse potentially. Is anyone else dealing with that and found a good helper? I’m having to take a tablet or two each week…

MoneyJo · 08/05/2026 12:18

I've swapped each time but will go back to Medexpress now because I got referral money off. It's not that much faff to switch, I've found. Worth the £40 you can save.

Do the money off codes work for repeat customers?

I eat lots of fibre now. Chia seeds in everything where possible!

Cheers. I should probably just close my eyes and get it 😫

I don't think so - just first timers.

Teabing · 08/05/2026 14:56

Is that for a subscription? I was burned by Voy last month!

Beehivebabe · 08/05/2026 15:01

I’m with Bolt and the 5 pen was 169 but I think they do £10 off for the first order.

I ordered from MedExpress in the end. I heard that they price match so I sent them a link to a cheaper supplier and the’ve credited my account with the difference 😊

ShebaQueen · 08/05/2026 17:05

Amazing thanks @Teabing, I'll do the same!

Not as far as I know. I paused mine on the app and then went with a cheaper provider . I was only going to re order from them if I could get a discount. If somebody uses my code then I get money off as well. But so far my subscription has been paused for two months and can be paused indefinitely without any issue. It’s literally just a swipe on the app to pause. If anyone is interested, please PM me. 😀

Jab number 11 tonight. 22 lb down. Losing about a pound to a pound and a half a week. Happy with that. I’m two dress sizes down and trying to be patient before buying a new wardrobe.
not one person has noticed- as I’m wearing (increasingly) baggy clothes I’m perhaps not showing a more svelte figure 😊
still on the lowest dose of MJ so having to deal with some food noise and cravings. I’m planning on living without the injections so having self restraint is liberating in many ways. Bloody hard too 😁 I stalled for about three weeks, to find out I wasn’t having enough to eat. The last two weeks I have been more willing to eat the things I like, in moderation. I had pizza on Saturday and still maintained loss. alcohol is my downfall, but I can say no. Imagine… I certainly couldn’t before I started this!
For those who suffer from constipation- kiwi fruit every day is really great to help this.
Good luck with your journey. Please remember to plan for lives without the injections. I am no longer on the Type 2 diabetes slippery slope; my blood pressure is much better and I feel more in control of my health. MJ has changed my future. But only if I choose to control what I eat. I’m naturally lazy (in terms of food) and greedy 😖😂
was it Kate Moss who said ‘ nothing tastes as good as skinny feels’?

ETPhoneHome19 · 11/05/2026 20:23

10th injection for me tonight and I’m 8kg down (17.5 lbs)
I’ve had a couple of weeks with weekends away and it’s been hard to be as good as I planned, especially when no one knows I’m taking the jabs.
Luckily the next few weeks are filled with no plans so I should be able to knuckle down and focus.
It’s been the alcohol consumption more than food, I’m definitely a social drinker and I haven’t found a good excuse to use.
I’ve been taking 3.75 from a 5 pen and I’ve had 5 injections from this pen, reckon I’ve got 1 more full dose and then a bit left over. I have my next pen here already, unsure whether to go up to the full 5 or stay at 3.75

Dontlletmedownbruce · 11/05/2026 23:54

Thanks @Asgoodas, good advice there. For sure its not as simple as the injection doing the job. Lifestyle change and increasing will power are the real challenges. It's just a lot easier now, from a virtually impossible task to a difficult but doable one. Definitely no easy ride.

taratill · 13/05/2026 14:52

I've just taken injection 10 and I have been hovering around the stone loss for a couple of weeks so I increased to 3.75 on a new pen on Monday (I think this is the new style with no golden dose).

Today I have had a bit of an upset tummy for the first time. I've been experiencing quite a bit of constipation which has been helped with chia seeds and increased fibre but today I can't stop going (sorry if tmi!)

Hoping that this doesn't continue and that the increased dose encourages faster weight loss as staying the same for several weeks is really demoralising : (

I’ve just taken injection 10 on Monday and yesterday I felt so ill! I’ve been on 3.75 for a few weeks so unsure what triggered it yesterday but I feel like I must have lost a stone in one day 😂

This has been me for about the last 3 weeks! Big Birthdays, retirements!
things have settled down abit this week and I’m looking forward to some quieter weeks when I can start to hit the gym a little more.

What’s different though is that I’ve still lost weight & haven’t lost momentum on the days I didn’t have a party or an event!

On a normal diet I’d have given up by now with the promise to start again ‘ in June’ when it was all over! 🤣

taratill · 13/05/2026 22:12

Hope you're feeling better now @ETPhoneHome19

@rockstarshoes I've been the same, I had a girls weekend in an AI hotel where I didn't hold back and then was in London for the BH as it was my son's birthday.

I'd slipped back into old habits (especially around alcohol) and whilst I hadn't actually gained weight I wasn't losing it either.

36 hours after taking the first increased dose to 3.75 I'm feeling the suppression again now that the upset tummy has finished and I'm feeling the thirst that I first had on 2.5 & freezing cold too so I'm hoping the scales start shifting again and I can resist the alcohol, although I do have another night out this weekend where I will struggle to avoid social drinking without a million and one questions!!!!

Well done on still losing weight after all of those events!

MoneyJo · 14/05/2026 08:48

This is my 11th week and for the first time I've not lost anything by jab day. Bit gutted. But I can see that I've been a bit lax. I have had pudding a couple of times when eating with others and ive had a desk based few days at work so less movement. I'm about to start a new 5mg pen which is a shame as I will need to stick on 5 for a month now but I will order 7.5 next. I guess this at least will help me learn to stick to the rules that work for me even if I don't have massive suppression.

maybethisway · 14/05/2026 09:30

Hello All - I hope you don't mind me popping on here. I am due to start next week but I was curious about how you guys (who have been on for a couple of months now) are finding exercise? I have done a lot of running in the past and I'd like to pick it up again but not sure if MJ will be compatible? I guess it depends on my individual SE but I was curious if others have felt well enough to exercise if you wanted to?

Beehivebabe · 14/05/2026 09:35

@MoneyJo. Don’t feel too despondent, you’ve lost well overall and I think it’s easy to get sucked into the weigh in when it’s the overall trend which should be the aim. Even slimmer people must have heavier weeks!

I am trying not to focus too much on the pounds loss each week and just give myself longer term goals eg by my next holiday in July I want to be 16stone something. I started at 19.13 and today I’m 17.9. I try not to overeat or eat high sugar/fat but it’s still a mindset, it’s not all the jab. (hopefully lol)

Beehivebabe · 14/05/2026 09:42

@maybethisway not everyone has side effects, you’ll have to see how you get on but it shouldn’t stop you running. I was really cold in the early weeks, and constipation started around week 6 which I’ve taken tabs for, although this week I’m ok.
if you like running you should def start again and it will help your loss.
