@Missingducks how have you got on, I was put on it by diabetes nurse and by October my bloods were in the normal levels and came off diabetic meds, I’m also off my C-pap machine for sleep apnea, just got to make them take me off BP meds now! I’m a 1lb a week loser but it all adds up!

@52soon I am slow (just over 5 stones so far) and haven't been back to GP to have any checks (am using BUPA). But all positive and walking much further than this time last year and able to do things in pilates that make me smile.
It must be great to have shed the meds and C-pap, well done you!

I’m under 100kg! 99.7 on the scales this morning, very pleased with that. Onwards and downwards!

Week 44, 4.5mg
SW 140kg/22st BMI 50.2
CW 99.7kg/15 st 9.7lb BMI 35.7
Total Loss 40.3kg / 6 st 4.3lb
First Goal Weight 83kg/13 st for BMI 29.8

Also trying to aim for 7st loss by my jabversary if I can, about 10lb to lose in 8 weeks, feels doable.

Well done! I also hit the 99kg mark today, just a day too late for my 'official' weigh in but it's still so amazing to see that blank space where the 1 should be isn't it? 🥰

TragicMuse · 15/03/2026 12:14

Big cheer for you both!

I dropped again overnight - which was a surprise but I’m not knocking it!

those of you who do 24hr fast/OMAD, when do you see the results? I’m wondering if this week’s success is that or just the weirdness and fuckery of bodies in general!

The jeans I bought 4 weeks ago are too big. Which is great but also annoying! Luckily they weren’t expensive ones. And I have belts.

Springflowers2 · 15/03/2026 12:27

I'm really really struggling still
So haven't been posting as nothing positive to say.
Well done to everyone who's still .losing
I'm just going up a pound ,down a pound
I think I probably need some antidepressants, despite the last lot being to difficult to manage the side effects.
On the plus side I'm maintaining a 10 and a half stone loss
So at least weight isn't going back on .
I'm buying size 16/18 clothes.
I still want to loose at least another 2/3 stone .
Don't know why it's suddenly got so hard ,but it's getting me down

MrTiddlesTheCat · 15/03/2026 12:46

Today I'm wearing a dress that's size 20/22 instead of my usual 24/26. I tried it on a few weeks ago but got stuck half in/half out as it was too small. DS had to come and rescue me Grin. It's a bit snug around the upper arms but otherwise it fits well. Not sure if I'll be able to get it off again though (gammy shoulder).

PearlsTeapot · 15/03/2026 16:19

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers!

DW and I went out for afternoon tea. I ate half the sandwiches and 1 scone and 1 macaron, and left the rest and all of the cakes to take home for DS (who was chuffed to bits!). I feel like I had a good treat but didn't feel stuffed or worried about calories. Hurrah for food neutrality.

PearlsTeapot · 15/03/2026 16:20

@Springflowers2 sorry you're feeling so rubbish. Get to the doctors and get some antidepressants, try a new one and hopefully no side effects. Hope things improve for you soon and at least you're not gaining anymore.

I have appointment on Friday to ask for them .
The problem is she says I'm not depressed and this is normal for autism.
Anyway this time I will ask for a second opinion,if I get told I'm not depressed again
She's actually a lovely doctor and very positive about autism, but I feel I want to try to see if my mood lifts

MrTiddlesTheCat · 15/03/2026 17:26

@Springflowers2I've started using a mindfulness app which has helped lift my mood. I suffer from terrible autism related anxiety so was sceptical, but it really does help.

It's called Mindfulness Coach and is produced by the US Department for Veterans Affairs. It's free to use and I figured if it helps veterans with PTSD, it might be worth a try.

Doggymummar · 16/03/2026 07:09

I remembered to jab and weigh.

I am gonna knuckle down and do this right. Too much messing around is keeping me from reaching my goals.

159lbs today same as in September so i Am maintaining well! But I'm not at goal yet. Need to knuckle down and eat better. I live on junk food and I think I need to start tracking again.
New week, new start. Happy Monday amigo's

PearlsTeapot · 16/03/2026 09:38

@Doggymummar i was here to give you a poke to jab so well done for doing it!

Go back to basics and I’m sure things will start moving again.

Have a good Monday everyone

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/03/2026 10:10

Did anyone else get an email about a dodgy batch number on a 15mg pen?
I went through and checked both of mine but they were fine.

The email was from Cured Pharmacy.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 16/03/2026 10:26

Well I went up from 4.25 to 4.50 on Saturday and have had a night of throwing up and now the sulphur burps 🤢 Thank heavens I didn’t jump to 4.75mg like I was contemplating!

I did eat 4 of the chocolates I was given for Mother’s Day yesterday, maybe that tipped me over the edge. Although I can’t begin to contemplating only eating 4 before MJ! Have no desire at all for the rest of the box!

TragicMuse · 16/03/2026 11:38

I’m in that really tricky place of my clothes getting too big but not wanting to buy more because I’ll only be in them a few weeks!

My size 16 trousers from Sainsbury and John Lewis seem to be too big - and some don’t even have belt loops to wear a belt!

I’ve exhausted the under-the-bed stash of my vintage clothes!

First-world problem I know but I think I’m going to have to get cheaper even than Sainsbury’s and Primark, I can’t afford to keep buying, especially when the resale value is minimal!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/03/2026 11:42

@TragicMuse Vinted is your friend here.
You can get good quality makes for very good prices.

Guys, can I please share this really bizarre conversation I've just had with the practice nurse. Bearing in mind I was there for a reason totally unrelated to my weight, it went like this:-
Practice Nurse - wow, you've lost weight. Have you been doing that Mounjaro craze?
Me - erm, yes. I'm actually quite proud I've lost almost 7st so far.
PN - oh no no no, that's far too much. You must not lose another ounce.
M - well actually, I am still class III obese on the BMI chart, and have around another 4st to lose.
PN - the BMI chart is a load of nonsense, and you look fine as you are, so don't lose any more.
M - I am 15 1/2st, I still have a fair way to go.
PN - you've lost too much already, dont go too far.
M - thank you for your concern, but I am being sensible, and know what I am doing.
PN - what about when you stop taking it, and the weight piles back on, will you get any support?
M - (I've lost a little patience at this point) you will see from my records how many times I have asked for help, and how much support I've received from the NHS (zero!), so I can assure you that any support I need and receive, will be more than I've had previously. And I may choose to stay on it long term, so that wouldn't be an issue.
PN - well I personally prefer losing weight the natural way, but Dr S is a keen advocate of the jabs, so there must be something in it.
M - thank you for letting me know, I will be sure to speak to Dr S in future if I have any concerns. Now can I please speak to you about the reason I am here today.

She was then quite frosty with me for the rest of the appointment. Help me out here ladies, am I missing something? I really felt like I was doing something wrong. I have to see her again in 3 months, and am dreading it already!

A lot of people seem to have this attitude, about doing it the right way and what will you do when the weight goes back on ..very negative attitude imho
I've stopped telling people I'm on it now .
I think we just need to develop a thick skin .
Can you see a different nurse next time you go ?

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 16/03/2026 12:05

@Billybingbong I would actually give feedback to the Practice Manager and let them know - what she is saying is not evidence based and is therefore against the NMC Code.

SilenceInside · 16/03/2026 12:06

@Billybingbong wow, that was very unprofessional of her to discuss weight loss with you in this way. I would be tempted to make a complaint about the way you were spoken to, and then request a different nurse the next time. I'm sure that the GP surgery's official line is not that BMI is a "load of nonsense" and that people who are Class III obese don't need to lose any weight.

PearlsTeapot · 16/03/2026 12:15

I’d complain. How frustrating to have had to have that conversation when you weren’t even there for your weight.

Billybingbong · 16/03/2026 12:18

Thanks ladies, I'm glad it's not just me. It's a small village practice, with just the 1 nurse. She's usually lovely, so I'm hoping I just caught her on a bad day. I'm not going to complain, but I will definitely be a bit more prepared at my next appointment, and let her know her comments were unhelpful, and not very professional.

I'd be tempted to put in a complaint about her to the practice manager, she was quite literally giving you advice that goes against NHS guidance (ignore BMI? literally the unit of measurement the NHS use to determine whether people need to lose/gain weight!)

Imagine she tried giving that advice to people who aren't as on the ball as you, some people wouldn't dream of questioning a 'medical professional' so might listen to her. And if she can be so wrong on this, what other duff advice is she giving out??

My grandmother told me yesterday that I'm 'wasting away'. She's in her nineties and says a lot of ridiculous stuff (that we ignore), she however is not (and has never been) a paid medical professional, they cannot say say whatever they want!

Fffreeeeezing · 16/03/2026 12:38

Wow, I'm the time it took me to write my reply, we all said pretty much exactly the same thing!

Theringcycle · 16/03/2026 12:59

@Billybingbong totally agree with all the other comments. I have “I am the patient these drugs were created for” up my sleeve for when I need it, which was something that was helpfully said to me by a kidney doctor at my regular review when I was deciding whether to go on one or not. Your experience just shows what I think so many people still think which is that weight loss should be hard and earnt and penitential, and the fact they can lose half a stone post holiday by dieting and movement means everyone should be able to do it and never get fat to begin with including when as a child you don’t have control of what’s put in front of you.
