Evening all!

I thought we should start a new thread as we are getting close to full on thread two

I weighed myself this morning and I have now lost the weight of a Kitchenaid mixer!

What kitchen appliance / Household item have you lost!?

SW 13 stone 9
6 x 2.5 MJ doses later …..
CW 12 stone 2
Loss 21lbs!!!

I am mid way through week 2 on my second pen and stuck with 2.5 - although am tempted to go up as my suppression is nowhere near the same as it was

I am being tempted and my willpower is waining

@HollywoodTease that’s brilliant ✋

@AddUpToNothing Well done you too. That sort of is your first stone. That’s my first goal to, just another 2lb to go so hopefully not too long.

Thank you. What is a regular protein powder and do you know how my protein is different?

I ordered the trial BTW with 10 different flavours or so.

My Protein is just a brand, they’re not different to any others.

My Protein is just a brand, they’re not different to any others.

I have read up on it and 'clear protein' powder types do not give a milky texture but are more like juice.

FrothyCothy · 15/02/2026 14:34

Hit my 1stone loss this morning! Expect it might creep up again a bit tomorrow - had a busy day yesterday so didn’t eat loads and got a lot of exercise in. Challenge this week will be a couple of days away visiting family, will see how I fare with less control over what’s in the kitchen.

Incidentally, DH who is also on WG is suffering with what I think may be kidney stones - a reminder to drink plenty and if eating high protein make sure you’re getting lots of fibre too!

InstantRegret · 15/02/2026 15:00

Thanks @bookwormcrazy@2026istheyear2@Alltheyellowbirds@YellowStockings@BooptotheFloof@whiteandblackfluffycat@Hettar@MrTiddlesTheCat
I’m a few days into week 3 and suppression is currently very high so I’ll see how I go 🙂

Onbdy · 15/02/2026 16:21

@HollywoodTease
Well done! 🎉
I am a similar build and always say the same about BMI. The boobs never get smaller (only proportionally) and I’d have be about a size 8 just to get to the top and of a ‘healthy’ BMI for my height. That isn’t sustainable and would look ridiculous at my age.

Octagoneaway · 15/02/2026 16:22

I’ve had a busy week of birthday celebrations so I have drunk quite a bit, and not all food has been as good as it should. I didn’t weigh for a few days and expected a gain, but this morning (no booze yesterday) I was still a lb down. If it stabilizes to that I’ll be delighted. Going away for a few days tomorrow, but I’m hoping that should be fairly active and healthy.

I’d been considering postponing jab 3 of 5mg until I’m home, but did it yesterday as I’ve had no major issues. Annoyingly I responded to a message from my provider (Boots) and they have authorised and sent my next pen. I’d been planning to wait til nearer the end of the month to order, just for budgeting reasons, but it seems I’ve committed🤣. I went for 5mg again as it seems to be manageable, and slow and steady.

notcomfortable · 15/02/2026 16:49

I'm really struggling being in America, the food is so rich its making me nauseous.
Managing over 30 thousand steps tho 😁

whiteandblackfluffycat · 15/02/2026 17:10

Well done on the weight loss everyone.

I wish I hadn’t ordered this pen so quickly after the last one (after the first email) because they’ve been emailing non stop for weeks and I don’t need one for another couple of weeks!

I’ll be in America next month! I’ve been to the restaurants we’re going to in the past, so know they have suitable options. It’s the snacks I won’t be able to resist - I don’t snack here but they’re included in the holiday cost and they have amazing snacks so I won’t be resisting! Will probably share with DH though as they’re massive!

Rubytoes · 15/02/2026 17:53

Well done on the weight loss folks!

I've been switching provider to get my next pen, but hit some delays with getting verified, then they didn't respond for days so I started the process with another provider. In the end both of them got authorised so I have 2 pens on the way! I'm thinking it's not a bad idea to stock up, since they can be stored for 24 months and I'm worried I might have trouble ordering once I get below a healthy bmi.

@InstantRegret I stuck with 2.5mg for my second pen and regretted it. I had a decent weight loss in the first couple of weeks so when I reordered I was feeling like 2.5 was enough, but weight loss slowed a lot after that and I wish I'd gone for 5. I've not had bad side effects so there was no reason not to go up to 5, though I suppose 2.5 is cheaper which was a factor.

CatNoBag · 15/02/2026 19:00

Check the dates on them when they arrive @Rubytoes. My 5mg one has a use by date of December 2026, and I have a 2.5mg that I got in January with a date of July 2026.

At least it might help you stick to smaller portions.

I went to dinner the other evening. I left quite a bit of the pasta and the maitre d’ came over to see if there was a problem. I just explained there was too much and I’d eaten quite a bit, but I still felt embarrassed. In reply, they sent me a free dessert!!! Which was kind, but didn’t help me🤣🤣🤣🤣!

Octagoneaway · 15/02/2026 19:04

But ultimately, have a great trip!!

YellowStockings · 15/02/2026 19:33

@FrothyCothy that sounds terrible, poor DH! I hadn't realised this was something that could be avoided (or at least discouraged) with good hydration, good motivation to keep chugging water.

YellowStockings · 15/02/2026 19:36

I've been so hungry today 😳

My period is due imminently so it's not unusual for me to feel hungry at this point in my cycle, but I've definitely eaten more today than I have done since starting Wegovy. I've been umming and ahhing constantly about increasing my dose, but if I feel like this over the next few days I'm going to have to!

I was so happy looking at the scales this morning, not excited to see what they say tomorrow (on 'official' weigh in day too).

Alltheyellowbirds · 15/02/2026 19:53

Perimenoanti · 15/02/2026 13:33

I have read up on it and 'clear protein' powder types do not give a milky texture but are more like juice.

But that’s a difference between different types of protein powder - clear versus traditional. That’s not a difference between the My Protein brand and other brands.

FrostyFlo · 15/02/2026 20:02

Eeek , looking years / hopefully months ahead just checked my bmi ' healthy ' weights , and baring in mind I'm a shorty ...........

  • Your ideal weight should be between 6 stones and 10.7 pounds and 8 stones and 10.9 pounds.
  • The average ideal weight should be 7 stones and 9.9 pounds.

Minimum weight 6 stone .10 ! ! Even ideal @ 7 stone 9 is totally ridiculous .
I was thinking high 8s or around 9 stone .
I'm 5 ft . Anyone else think their bmi parameters are a bit low ?

You misunderstood what the conversation was about and made it about brands. Joke is on you if you felt clever pointing out that it's a brand. 😂

BeWildPearlFish · 15/02/2026 20:09

I was on the previous threads (honest!) but had phone issues and had to create a new account. Yesterday was week 6 and stayed the same, but wasn't expecting a loss as I had 2 meals out and drinks. I've lost 10lb so had been averaging 2lb a week, not big but I'm happy with slow and steady. I stayed at 2.5mg for the second month and still getting suppression so will keep with that until it changes

Yes, very.

I'm 5'1. At 7 Stone I would look like a corpse. I'll be happy if I can get under 10.......

Yes I was ( eons ago ) just under 8 stone and was skeletal , so not going anyway there .

@FrostyFlo
Definitely agree! I’m just under 5”2 and apparently even if I go by that height the maximum I should be according to BMI is about 9st 6! I’m aiming for 10.5, I’ll be a size 10 at that weight.

YellowStockings · 15/02/2026 21:48

@FrostyFlo I think the BMI scale is not very reliable. Even when I was slim and healthy in my early twenties I never went below a size 12/14 with big boobs (and was probably still classed as 'overweight' 🙄according to BMI). I think I just have a naturally bigger + curvier build than some people!

glutenisthedevil · 15/02/2026 22:13

@YellowStockings I think you're right. I'm 5ft 6 and apparently my ideal weight is as low as 8 and a half stone but I'd look really ill. I looked my healthiest when I was 10 and a half stone (still had curves and boobs) so that's the weight I'm aiming for. To be honest, pre-children I was just under 12 stone and looked absolutely fine at that weight. I think there's a lot to be said for people's shapes and how they carry the weight.

totallyfrusted · 15/02/2026 22:26

I was looking at my BMI today as well and was horrified that to get a healthy BMI my weight would have to between 8.5 and 10 stone.

I’m only 5’3 and have big boobs and I don’t think I’ve been that weight since I was a very young teenager

if I were to loose every pound I doubt I would get to 8.5 stone.

it made me realise it’s a nonsense and why unearth are we still using it as a guide
