I am currently whooshing and lost 22lb so far. I am still on the second lowest dose of wegovy. I am really happy with that. I am doing a second month on 0.5mg. I am so glad to have started it. I keep wondering how much else I will lose the rest of the year.

Lovingtheglitter · 23/03/2026 08:58

10th week on the jabs now and I had my 3rd jab of 5 mg. I weighed myself this morning and I have lost 2lbs this week so a total of 1 stone 12lbs! So close to that 2 stone mark and almost in the 14 stone bracket. I cannot remember the last time I was in the 14 stones bracket so I’m really happy with that. I think I will stay at 5 mg as it’s working well with suppression and minimal side effects- mainly being tired. But I can cope with that!

FrothyCothy · 23/03/2026 10:48

Start of week 12 for me
SW 111kg (17st6.7lbs)
CW 101.1kg (15st12.8lbs)

Almost 10kg lost and in the 15s bracket for the first time since 2021! Next goal is sub-100kg. I’m on 0.5mg Wegovy and planning to stick here as long as I’m still losing. And I keep saying it here but still haven’t done it - I must get back to the gym! Not been since early Feb.

Only annoyance is the hair loss seems to have kicked off - I have a lot of hair and it’s thick so I think it probably looks worse than it is.

Thank you for the kind thoughts @cautiouslyoptimistic3, yes I was quite down about it all last week. I'm still struggling a bit this week too, if I'm honest. I feel myself getting worse and worse as weigh day (Wednesday) approaches. It like, this has to work, I can't fail this time. So even though I know I'm doing everything right, I am terrified of failing. The pressure is crushing.

I also think my upcoming mammogram isn't helping. My puffer zone for stress doesn't exist anymore. So I get hyper focused on the lesser evil so I don't completely freak out at the other.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 23/03/2026 17:20

That should say 'my buffer zone'. I've no idea what a puffer zone is.

I’ve heard a few people say they haven’t lost much with 5mg - with many losing more on 2.5 and then again if they move up to 7.5 but for some it seems to stall on 5! Mine has definitely slowed, when I was losing significantly on 2.5 (and it definitely wasn’t just the placebo effect on 2.5 as I’ve seen someone argue on another thread! 🙄)

SW: 14 st 5
CW: 11 st 9

It’s holiday time! I’m planning on eating all the things - I won’t have breakfast and will stick to salads for lunch but will be having the amazing snacks and two course restaurant meals each day.

Another spanner in the works for me is that a GP wants me to have a test for coeliac disease, as part of investigations into my low ferritin levels. I don’t have any other symptoms but they want to rule it out. It could be possible as I feel so much better for cutting out bread etc. However Google says that the test requires you to eat lots of bread, pasta, cakes, biscuits etc at least twice a day, for six weeks beforehand! My test is in three weeks and I’ve only been having occasional pasta and none of the other things, so I guess I’ve got permission to really go for it on holiday! 😂

I am diagnosed coeliac and all I had was a blood test 🤔

BooptotheFloof · 23/03/2026 22:21

I’ve been a bit quiet for the past few weeks

I have finally decided after three months of taking 2.5mg (with two weeks of a double dose making it about 5mg) that I am going to officially go up to 5mg

I have lost exactly 2 stone which is amazing and I am overjoyed but I’ve plateaued for the last three weeks and I feel like it would be so easy to get back into bad habits - so I think I need the boost

I have absolutely no appetite suppression at all now so I feel like I am entirely relying on willpower - whilst spending £150 a month for the privilege!

Hopefully my 5mg will arrive on Wednesday

I am still keeping to under 1000 calories a day - and trying to eat really well - but I faltered this evening and whilst I don’t feel guilty as it’s just small hiccup this is how it always starts - I’ll give up and be two stone heavier again in a matter of months

I am actually looking forward to the 5mg arriving and hopefully experiencing a second whoosh in the next couple of weeks

I’m going to back and read the rest of the thread now I just needed to get my stuff written down and out of my head

@BooptotheFloof
Good luck, you can do it!
I had a bit of bad health news last week and this is the sort of thing that would have made me fall off the wagon in the past. I’m determined to stick with it though.

HollywoodTease · 24/03/2026 11:13

Weigh in day for me. Jab #10, still at 5mg, will be ordering my next pen next week and will probably stay at 5 I think. Had a weekend away all-inclusive but tried to stick to my parameters (high protein, low carb, lots of water, limited if any alcohol) and it seems to have gone ok. I'm still plodding downwards, another 0.9kg (2lbs) off......

SW. 99.9kg
CW. 90.45kg
1st GW 90kg (so close!)
Loss 9.45kg (21lbs)

My body seems happy at the moment, I'm averaging between 1 and 2 lbs per week since I moved onto 5mg. No plateaus yet either. 🤞

I'm still not quite in my size 16 jeans yet, but I look like a bag lady in all my 18s now so hopefully won't be long.

Incidentally, at this stage I am not tracking anything. I may need to later on if I stall but the whole point of this for me was to fix my head as well as my body, and learn to give my body what it needs rather than what it wants.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 24/03/2026 11:23

@HollywoodTeaseI'm the same. I've been weighing and tracking my food my entire life. I'm done with doing it.

bec81 · 24/03/2026 12:07

Yea, I've eased up on the tracking too. I have a fairly good idea of what im eating generally and it tends to be between 1000-1200 cals with goodish amounts of protein. And if im out for food I can't really track it anyway, so just have to rely on choosing the right food, or going easy on myself.

CatNoBag · 24/03/2026 15:28

I've stopped tracking too - I did about a month to six weeks of being very obsessive about it, which was easy to do as I literally went NOWHERE for that period. I tend to go all or nothing with tracking and if I try to stick to it when I'm out and about a bit more (aka: normal life) I start panicking about it. But the first month was a good reset and helped me understand what meals work for me (and the various macros with protein/carbs/fats etc), what my portions should look like an so on. I do still weigh my Greek yogurt in the morning, I know I can easily be heavy handed with it otherwise 😂

Perianth · 24/03/2026 21:41

I don’t track my calories either. I wouldn’t really even know where or how to start trying. It’s not something I’ve ever done and I don’t have the brain space to start now.

Since starting MJ, I’ve worked on becoming more conscious of what I’m choosing to eat, and how much of it I’m eating (tuning into those fullness cues). My issue has always been portion size more than anything - I’m not a big snacker and I tend to cook from scratch. I do feel though that those healthier choices are more appealing now, but maybe that’s just in my head.

FrothyCothy · 24/03/2026 23:27

I track every morsel 😆

Me too 😆

notcomfortable · 25/03/2026 06:04

7.5 was a bad idea
Woke up this morning with sickness and diarrhea
Got sulpher burps too

FrothyCothy · 24/03/2026 23:27

Oh thank goodness - thought I was on my own! 🤣 Every single thing I eat gets tracked!

Hopefully today is my first proper day at 5mg - just waiting for it to arrive

Not looking forward to the side effects as when I did a double 2.5 dose I felt dreadful - but hopefully my weightloss will start again - I’ve plateaued for nearly three weeks - although over this three weeks I definitely feel
like I have changed shape as my size 14 jeans are much more comfortable

Springflowers3 · 25/03/2026 08:08

I’ve stopped tracking most days but maybe do it twice a week to make sure portion sizes aren’t creeping up, or if want to know the protein/fibre/cals of something new.

I seem to have suddenly lost 3lbs after a very long plateau. Scales have finally caught up with how loose my clothes have been recently.

Definitely happy to stay on 5mg, having much stronger suppression.

AddUpToNothing · 25/03/2026 08:55

I’m also another track everything person. I find it helps me stay within my allowance and enables me to see my overall intake over the week so I’m not worrying about a heavy/rich meal if I’m out.

I probably find it easier to log as I use Gousto for my evening meal so only really breakfast and lunch I need to keep an eye on and I tend to keep those quite simple.

notcomfortable · 25/03/2026 09:18

Either my scales weren't correct when I was having a stall, or I have just pooped out 2kg in diarrhea 😭 (quite do able I'd imagine)

I measured out everything for the first month or so, I tend to cook from scratch using recipes (or if it's the end of the week, whatever's in the fridge!) so I saved them all on MFP as I went along to make it easier. I'm eating the same things now, but not logging it as I know I can get a bit obsessive about it, but pretty much eating the same and monitoring or weighing protein and carbs as I'm cooking to keep an eye on portion control.

Perimenoanti · 25/03/2026 09:31

I was totally again tracking but I now track everything too. I think I need the daily reality check or I might tell myself that a small amount of something has basically zero calories. Then it adds up, I do it daily and before I even know it I am eating too much. It does help me mentally too as I know the number of calories I have had and it does keep me from having an extra snack because I don't want to jeopardise my progress and the next weigh in is only hours away anyway and I want to look forward to it.

Never in a million years did I think I would manage myself like that. I feel like I am running an obesity clinic just for myself lol.
