I am mid way through week 2 on my second pen and stuck with 2.5 - although am tempted to go up as my suppression is nowhere near the same as it was

I am being tempted and my willpower is waining

Bit disappointed with today's weigh-in. Only down 0.2kg again, same loss as last week. 70.2kg this morning, down from OG weight of 81.5kg.
But another way to look at it is, i brought my 1 year old cockapoo to the vet this morning and they weighed him at 11kg. So I have lost more than my whole medium sized dog in 12 weeks!

BooptotheFloof · 23/03/2026 22:21

I’ve been a bit quiet for the past few weeks

I have finally decided after three months of taking 2.5mg (with two weeks of a double dose making it about 5mg) that I am going to officially go up to 5mg

I have lost exactly 2 stone which is amazing and I am overjoyed but I’ve plateaued for the last three weeks and I feel like it would be so easy to get back into bad habits - so I think I need the boost

I have absolutely no appetite suppression at all now so I feel like I am entirely relying on willpower - whilst spending £150 a month for the privilege!

Hopefully my 5mg will arrive on Wednesday

I am still keeping to under 1000 calories a day - and trying to eat really well - but I faltered this evening and whilst I don’t feel guilty as it’s just small hiccup this is how it always starts - I’ll give up and be two stone heavier again in a matter of months

I am actually looking forward to the 5mg arriving and hopefully experiencing a second whoosh in the next couple of weeks

I’m going to back and read the rest of the thread now I just needed to get my stuff written down and out of my head

I have to say that I think you have done well on 2.5mg for 3 months! For me it wears off very fast sadly :(.

I am just up on 3rd dose of 7.5mg. So far though that still is taking effect.
my 1st 5mg dose it really worked, but was actually a bit strong by 3rd dose and my guts ground to a halt.
7.5mg and they are working normally again.

I track weight rather than what I eat, and was feeling a bit bleurgh as I am losing slowly (but still a loss!) and had ChatGPT analyze my spreadsheet. It confirmed that its being a female and my period that causes the trip ups.

So in 13 weeks on this course of MJ am now 6.2kg down. and 36.2kg down from starting my weight loss 2 years ago.

At least it is going down!!

Octagoneaway · 25/03/2026 10:25

Picking up my 3rd 5mg pen today, and might jab a day early as I’m out tomorrow evening and there will be alcohol. Thursdays were working well for me though, because I find I have about 4 days of good suppression and then a couple of days where I am thinking about food constantly. So the week starts on fewer calories then builds to use every single calorie in my allowance as the pen wears off😆. Anyone else finding this?

HollywoodTease · 25/03/2026 13:41

I'm actually the other way around. I jab Tuesday mornings, and I'm usually feeling hunger Tuesday/Wednesday, it starts to recede Thursday and then Fri-Mon I'm not really bothered about food at all.

How funny, obviously everyone has different experiences, but it’s interesting that it’s the complete opposite.

CatNoBag · 25/03/2026 15:29

I should try and keep track of things in the week a bit more, but I haven't noticed any big peaks and troughs for me from one jab to the next. I went 9 days recently as I was away on jab day and I didn't want to have to take everything with me and I didn't find I was struggling in those extra days. I'm still on a low dose for now (3.33mg), half wondering how I'd cope without it (something for later down the line though!). I tend to do well will keeping a 'streak', and since starting I've stuck to no alcohol, no sugar etc so that's helping. Knowing that having a pastel de nata or whatever breaks my streak keeps me from cracking, but I also wonder how much the WLI is contributing to this willpower of steel? I'm currently just over 20lbs down, another 34ish to go...

Perimenoanti · 25/03/2026 15:43

I have worked out that my appetite is through the roof on day 1 and 2 post injection, before it calms down again. On injection day I am usually very ok and have to remember that the next one is due. Took me three months to work out as everyone else says the days post injection are the easiest and they are starving on the day of the next injection. Not me.

But I realise how big of a topic breakfast is. I can easily go without many days (I did that before I started WLI too), but my appetite is more muted and stable IF I have some breakfast. I usually have 2 weetabix now with milk.

Previously it was the other way around. I needed IF because as soon as I started eating for the day I would spend every waking minute thinking about food. With IF I didn't think about food until 1 or 2pm, so there were fewer waking hours trying to resist food.

notcomfortable · 25/03/2026 16:52

Well I just realised I started Mounjaro on the 20th of March 2025!
So taken a three month break, I have lost 32kg 😮
I never thought it would be possible
I think I am on my first and last month of 7.5 as I don't want to go higher, especially with the v&d I had today

MrTiddlesTheCat · 25/03/2026 17:31

I'm another who doesn't notice much difference in hunger from day 1 through to day 7. I get hungry before meals, but the meal satisfies that hunger.

I lost 0.5 kg this week and I'm trying not to be disappointed as I'm averaging a kilo a week, which is excellent. I just wish I understood how 2 weeks of eating the same produces 1 week of 2.2 kg loss and 1 of 0.5 kg. It doesn't make sense.

SW: 135 kg
MJSW: 128.7 kg
CW: 117.4 kg
Total loss: 17.6 kg

I'm still on 2.5 mg and my dr has just approved my next prescription at that dose.

I am exactly the same, my hunger is at its highest the first 2 - 3 days after jabbing! I’m glad I’m not the one Bly one.

As some of you are aware, I have been a bit absent. Husband is still in hospital and it’s been nearly 6 weeks but I decided to continue with the jabs without really tracking or worrying too much. Despite this I am still loosing 1 - 2lbs a week which I am more than happy with.
I know if I wasn’t on the injection, I would have massively gained weight as I am an emotional eater and would have used food as a comfort and eaten my body weight in shite just to feel better.

BooptotheFloof · 25/03/2026 23:01

At last! DH has finally found out I’m taking MJ - my fourth pen arrived today and he’s just queried why £150 odd has gone out of our joint account

Doesn’t give two hoots and is being really supportive - I wish I’d told him ages ago - and it goes to show how little he looks at the bak account 🤣

Sounds like you’re doing really well in a difficult situation. I do hope your husband is doing ok and getting all the help available. You’re amazing!

ThisAmusedPoet · 26/03/2026 05:39

Jab day was yesterday! Another slower week but it was also a week of indulgence and special occasions. I’m kind of surprised that MJ allowed me to eat and drink so much without any side effects. I think that means I’m going up to 7.5mg next time.

SW 1/1/26 - 93.3kg
Pen 1 (2.5mg) 86.5kg -6.8kg
Pen 2 (5mg) 82.5kg -4kg
MJ9 (5mg) 4/3/26 - 81.4kg -1.1kg
MJ10 11/3/26 - 80.3kg -1.1kg
MJ11 18/3/26 - 79.8kg -0.5kg
MJ12 25/3/26 - 79.4kg -0.4kg
GW - 68kg
Total loss: -13.9kg

totallyfrusted · 26/03/2026 08:22

Hi all, good to see everyone is still doing so well.

I’ve took my 11th jab yesterday and as usual am feeling horribly nauseous this morning. At least I now know it will be gone by Saturday evening but it’s not much fun.

SW 100kg
CW 85.6kg
overall loss of 14.4kg

im very close to my second goal of 85kg which is great. I seem to have settled into losing just over 1kg a week. I’m sure I could do more exercise to speed things along but I really don’t have time at the moment.

I took out a 3 month subscription when I started to get the best price so I need to decide if I am going to stay with them or find a new supplier.

has anyone changed suppliers yet? It will be annoying as all my weigh loss tracker is on their app so I guess I would loose that if I moved to someone else

HollywoodTease · 27/03/2026 12:18

Small wins.

Today, unofficially, I am 14 stone which means I have hit my first target and lost 10% of the weight I was when I started mounjaro in mid-Jan.

Still not comfortable in the zebra jeans though FFS!

Sorry to hear you’re still feeling nauseous after your injection but I guess it feels almost worth it now you’re nearing your second goal.

I check monj.co.uk to check I’m getting the best price. However, prices have gone up a bit since January, even with first time discounts.

If you use an app like Shotsy, you can input all your weight loss figures to date and keep tracking it on there.

Hettar · 27/03/2026 12:43

End of week 11 on 2.5mg

SW: 17 st 8lbs
CW: 15 st 2 lbs
GW: 12 st
Total loss: 2 st 6 lbs (36 lbs)

Another 2 lbs loss this week.

I was away for work for a couple of days this week and had to contend with eating out a few times. It was interesting that I ate as much as I wanted and left food on my plate when full. This is such a stark difference for me because I used to always finish my plate. I also didn't have dessert which was unheard pre manjouro.

I've noticed I've lost a lot of fat off my shoulders and upper back. I used to have the dreaded buffalo hump at the top of my shoulders which has gone!

Also noticed that my work clothes are really hanging loose. I'm not sure to buy new clothes now or wait a bit longer. What's everyone else doing regarding clothes?

CatNoBag · 27/03/2026 13:02

Well done all of you on the continued losses - it seems most of us are still moving in the right direction one way or another!

I've more or less hit my end of March target (12St 12), I was .2lb over it this morning, but I think I might get there by tomorrow or Sunday (a longish run on the cards today, so if nothing else I'll probably have some fluid loss from sweating!). After a bit of stall earlier this months, I'm back to ~2lbs a week loss, and really starting to feel "thin" (even though I still have 30+lbs to go).

@Hettar - I have a ridiculous amount of clothes that haven't fitted me for a while (if at all - I'm a classic case of buying for future me in the sales🙄), some that did fit but suddenly fit me much better and I can wear without a massive baggy jumper or shirt etc. I think I'm going to spend some of the Easter weekend having a good sort out and try-on, possibly a Vinted clearout. I'm trying my best not to buy more (clothes are a weak spot for me), but I did get some bits from M&S recently, justifying it because I had a sparks discount😂. A couple of summer trousers that are still a bit snug, so I'm targeting those fitting me comfortably by end of May/June. There was a also a dress that I threw in at the last minute that I instantly loved, whereas the one I thought I'd really like got sent back. I need to block my card details from my browser! Having said I have far too many black dresses, I now seem to have acquired yet another...

2026istheyear2 · 27/03/2026 13:08

Well done to everyone on great progress.

End of week 11 and just a pound off today (was lower yesterday) but importantly it takes me into the 13s! I have had a huge wardrobe clear out which is really satisfying. I have lost 2 stone 10 - 16 per cent of my body weight since 2 Jan which is astonishing.

@Hettar I have now got rid of all my size 20s and some 18s. I will buy a few 16s but holding out until I’m a 14 before I get much.

4 more pounds and I will no longer be obese 🤞

Perimenoanti · 27/03/2026 13:45

@hettar that's great. I know what you mean regarding the hump. Its all so worth it. My fingers feel really hard and bony now.

Thank you, I shall take a look at both of those.

as much as I hate feeling nauseous, I’ve kind of got used to it now and the fact I can now wear a lot more of my wardrobe is making it worth while!!!

notcomfortable · 27/03/2026 18:08

Well done to those with loses and even if you haven't lost, try not to be disheartened! Its all going in the right direction.
Think of how long it took to put the weight on, its not going to come off over night and anyone's who is, isn't doing it in a healthy way
Be patient, crack those good habits and it will set you up for when you come off the injections 🤗

Onbdy · 27/03/2026 18:22

Another 2 pounds off for me this week, 28.5 pounds in total.
@Hettar
I have the clothes issue too. I’m just over 5ft 1 so the clothes I was wearing before MJ fall off me now. Like a few others I have plenty of smaller clothes in my wardrobe due to years of yo-yo dieting. I have bought myself one new pair of jeans and a smaller bra, other than that I’m wearing what’s in my wardrobe. I have had a massive clear out and I’ve got rid of clothes that are too big. I’m determined that I’m not going back to that size again.

Weirdly I'm still getting away with my current sports bras. I'm mostly on the tightest set of hooks, but I always lose from my top half first so I'm surprised they aren't looser on me. But it might also be that they were far too small before 😂

That's going to be another expensive part I guess. I think my day to day ones might be getting a bit saggy on me so I'll have to get one or two soon-ish, but then eventually they'll get too big too... I'm an F cup (always have been, no matter my size otherwise), so limited in what's available and can't make do without!

Onbdy · 27/03/2026 20:21

@CatNoBag
I dream of being an F cup, I’ve gone from a JJ to a J! 😬😂 Even at my smallest I was still a G but I’ve got a small back. I’ll be happy to be a G because I will have cheaper bra options.
