I’m planning to take a break when we go away later in the year. Just so I don’t need to deal with nausea or other side effects while away.

FrothyCothy · 10/03/2026 20:08

Should be jab day for me but I couldn’t finish my brunch or dinner today and am so uncomfortably full, so I am holding off until tomorrow. Don’t know if that’s the right logic but don’t want to make myself feel worse. Updated stats anyway:

SW 111kg
CW 102.6kg
Loss 8.4kg/18.5lbs

Had my first “you’ve lost weight” comment today 🥳

Making the most of working in lbs and kgs at the same time to set myself staggered goals. So next one is to get under 16st and then below 100kg.

Onbdy · 10/03/2026 22:22

Nobody has noticed I’ve lost weight yet. I’m short so surely 22.5 pounds and 2 dress sizes must be noticeable? 🤔😂
I have reached the point where I definitely need smaller clothes. I bought some smaller size knickers this evening. A sort out of the wardrobe is planned for the weekend.

I'm going on holiday on Saturday for a week, Saturday is my jab day. I'm not sure what to do - miss a week or go ahead and jab as usual? I'm still on 2.5mg, no side effects.

Would love any advice/thoughts

I'm away for 12 days from the 7th April, long-haul flight then onto a cruise ship.

My jab days are 7th, 14th, 21st.

I'm going to take my jab on the 7th as usual. I'm also going to save the last dose from my current pen and start a new one before I go.

That last dose is coming with me, I've bought a little carrier with ice blocks that can go in my hand luggage. The pen will go in my hotel fridge on arrival then come on the boat with me and go in the fridge there and I'll take it on the 14th as usual.

I won't be able to weigh in while I'm away but I'm hoping my pen will travel ok 🤞

I lost 30kg last year
I have not had a single comment 🥲

ThisAmusedPoet · 11/03/2026 07:07

For everyone going on holiday, I’m glad I took my shots with me. It helped me not feel like I derailed my progress and I still had an amazing time in the US - ate burgers and fries and all the things I normally would, just not nearly as much! The dose traveled fine and no issues bringing it in hand luggage. I was never asked about it.

Shot day today! Can’t really believe I’m on shot 10? This is a new 5mg pen as I used a golden dose last time.

SW 1/1/26 - 93.3kg
Month one (2.5mg) 86.5kg -6.8kg
Month two (5mg) 82.5kg -4kg
MJ9 (5mg) 4/3/26 - 81.4kg -1.1kg
MJ10 (5mg) 11/3/26 - 80.3kg -1.1kg
GW - 68kg
Total loss: -13kg

I find that commenting on weight loss is not very acceptable at the moment but I’ve had a few “you look well” comments, which I think is them trying to come at it sideways! Especially when people don’t know if weight loss is intentional or perhaps caused by something negative. So I don’t think it’s that people aren’t noticing, just that commenting on women’s bodies isn’t really the done thing at the moment.

whiteandblackfluffycat · 11/03/2026 07:35

I’m taking mine away with me when I go away to the US in a couple of weeks. I’ve decided to stick to the same schedule.

I’ll be trying to stick to healthier options on the whole as that’s what I’m enjoying eating at the moment, although I will be eating snacks as they’re included and eating more than usual as we’ll be eating at restaurants daily. Hopefully it’ll be fine as I’ll be doing 25-30,000 steps per day. I’m forward to some decent vegetarian meals as they had so much more variety than we get here the last time we went; the choice for vegetarians in the UK is shocking nowadays.

I met friends this week and went for the salad option rather than the tempting halloumi dish. 500 cals for lunch v 1450 for the halloumi dish! I only have 200 calories for lunch at home!

Octagoneaway · 11/03/2026 08:36

Sounds like it’s going well for lots of people! I was pleased this morning that my scales said my BMI had dropped from the obese category into overweight 💪. And if I lose another .6 of a kg I’ll be in the 70s kg range. I haven’t lost as much as many of you, but those both feel like big wins!

Busy day today. I’ve got a session with my PT in a mo, then an extra long shift at work, so I’m really going to need to fuel myself carefully to get through it all.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 11/03/2026 09:32

I've finally given up on my scales. They're all over the place and I can't tell anymore how much I'm losing, because the previous weight is way too high so it looks like a gain. So I've no idea how much I've lost this week but I am using the scales at the healthcentre going forward.

SW: 135 kg (allegedly, who knows what it really was)
CW: 120.1 kg
Total loss: 14.9 kg

I had a comment from my SIL that I'd lost weight about two weeks in! I did lose about 7lbs in those two weeks (always lose a lot at first, now settled into a slower loss or even plateau), but also I lose a lot of weight from my face instantly, then it slowly progresses down to my belly and arse last 😂. My husband is telling me nearly every day that I look great and that he can see I've lost a lot of weight (less than most here - I've lost about 15lbs so far) so that's a boost.

Like @ThisAmusedPoet says, I think people are wary of commenting on weight loss these days. There's another thread on trending where someone's complaining that her friend telling her she looks great and so skinny was shot down by someone who heard her for saying 'skinny', when she's delighted to be called skinny! But whilst I haven't told anyone about the WLI, I am being open about being on a diet and trying to lose weight, so I'm happy enough to hear if people can see it on me!

Rubytoes · 11/03/2026 10:43

Oh lordy, I've just done the video checks for Pillsorted and it's the most difficult one so far. You have to say your name, DOB, today's date (I felt like a hostage at that point), height and weight, then film your scales showing the weight reading. My digital scales turn off after a certain time, so by the time I'd said all that, the reading disappeared! I finally got it by only stepping on the scales just before the end. Then you have to prop your phone up and film yourself doing a 360 turn, fitting the whole of your body in shot. I was running around my house trying out differe t places I could put the phone and also have enough space to step back. The only way I could do it was by putting my phone on a small stool then standing on another stool. I looked like a podgy music box doll!

I was trying to keep my photo/videos for all the various verifications to my bedroom which is fairly clutter free, but to get enough space I had to go into my dc's room which had toys everywhere. Ah well, I guess it's worth it to save £40.

bec81 · 11/03/2026 10:43

Another weekly weigh-in this morning and I'm pretty surprised. I was expecting a plateau or gain after a bit of a food and wine binge (relatively speaking. I wouldn't have considered it a binge before 2026, I ate and drank what everyone else was having except the deserts) on Saturday night. But im actually down another 1.3 kilos bringing my overall loss in 9 weeks to 10.9kg, a week ahead of my 2nd mini goal of halfway to target by Paddys Day. Delighted!

Ive majorly plateaued this past week... still hoping for a "whoosh" at some point. But clothes are definitely looser and I have had several comments about having lost weight... always makes me wonder QUITE how lardy I looked before?! But maybe I should just accept the compliments graciously 🤣

Jab #10 today. Second one of my second 5mg pen. Debating going up to 7.5mg for next one to get over this stall... but not sure as have had occasional nausea (but not as bad as sounds like for a few of you, you poor things!!)

CatNoBag · 11/03/2026 15:30

I've hit a slight plateau too @Ralphiesaurus, welcome to the club! I have been a bit stressed with work lately, and not doing the cooking as much as I usually do, but at least it's still mostly either static or a fraction of a pound down. It's been yo-yo-ing a bit, but I can usually see why if t's gone up (water retention, inflammation from exercise) and it settles again after a day or two. I'm on around 13St 4lbs at the moment, I would really love to be 12 something by the end of this month. Some days it seems like that's gong to be easy, then the next I'm back to fingers crossed!

Alltheyellowbirds · 11/03/2026 16:27

@CatNoBag Am also just over 13 now and counting down the days till my number starts with a 12. Wish it would hurry up! I feel from that point on I don’t mind going slowly, but being under 13 was my first goal and I will be so happy when it comes.

We'll get there! I haven't seen a 12 on my scales since 2020, which is the year things started to go sideways for me, so I'm the same with thinking it's a big target I wanted to get to. I did see a 13.3 on the scales a few days ago, which got me all excited, then it just went up and down a lot between 4 and 5 (combined with me feeling a bit bloaty) before settling into 13.4 again. I've got some unsettled days ahead with travel and family, but next week I'll be able to knuckle back down and focus on my meals again, and hopefully get things moving again 🙌

whiteandblackfluffycat · 11/03/2026 19:34

I’m counting down to 11 something - I’m so close (12st 1 at last weigh yesterday).

I never went above 10 something and I couldn’t believe it when I hit 11. I didn’t weigh myself for too long and couldn’t believe it when I was 14 something just before starting MJ! I’m never going more than a couple of days without weighing again (unless away)!

Onbdy · 11/03/2026 19:42

I had my first ‘Have you lost weight?’ today. 🎉

Hotfirewood · 11/03/2026 19:55

Vomited this morning… in my hotel (I was away with work), on the train, in my office. I’m not eating much yet I’m staying at the same weight!! Feel sick again this evening.

Not sure what to do really. 8kg down. BMI is 25. Thought progress would be more consistent. Really disheartening to be plateaued for 2 weeks. I’m going to move back to 2.5mg MJ once this 5mg pen is done 🤢

Commiserations, and welcome to the vomiting club! The step up to 5mg was vicious for me, and I am also going to move down to 2.5mg because I threw up almost constantly for 24hrs. My entire body hurts from all the heaving!

I felt fine first week on 5, but this week - crikey - thought I had a vomiting bug to start but it’s gone on too long and can only assume it’s the higher dose now. I’m not even vomiting much, constant nausea and retching. We’re going away next week so think I’m going to go back to 2.5 as don’t want to feel like this whilst away.

Sorry to hear so many of you are still suffering.

I’ve been very lucky, I haven’t had any negative side effects.

Down to 12 st 0 today, which is a loss of 33lbs. Can I make it to the 11s on jab/ weigh in day tomorrow?!

Down 33lb 😫 I'm only down about 15lb
What have you been doing?!
I fear its not as effective for me this time around but I refuse to go any higher than 5mg

Perianth · 12/03/2026 07:33

Whoever recommended the Weightless book by Salas Whalen - massive thank you! It’s really changed my thinking about how to approach this whole journey. I feel like I understand the challenges ahead much more clearly now I know how these drugs work with my body’s systems, and know what I need to focus on for long term success. An excellent read!

Sorry to hear so many are experiencing such horrible side effects. Sounds thoroughly miserable.

bec81 · 12/03/2026 07:35

Last night was jab night. I decided to see if I could get anything out of the end of the pen before I threw it out, but had intended to open up my second box of 0.5mg. As it happened, I extracted 0.30ml, which I calculated to be 0.4mg, so decided to just use that instead. Let's see how this week goes on a slightly lower dose.
I feel last week's loss was a bit too much, so happy to slow it down a bit. Ill be back on the regular 0.5mg next week.
