@Perimenoanti

I wish I'd lose gradually everyday as it's really motivating to see the loss each day. However, my body likes to troll me and I often plateau and then have a woosh.

I'm getting better with not letting the scales impact my mood.

If it wasn't for the MJ I know I would've broken the diet and binged a few times during the plateaus. The MJ is allowing me to stick to the healthy eating no matter what

Yes, the meds are hugely helpful. Hope it continues!

Guys I don't know if I should laugh or cry. I feel really embarrassed. I increased my dose yesterday and was hoping for it to kick in more than it has. A craving or frustration overcame me and I ended up on Delivero. I very nearly ordered a bunch of pastries/cakes because there was an offer. The intention was to eat one (yeah right) and freeze the rest. It took all I had to exit the app and eat three rice cakes with a thin layer of nutella instead.

I'm so ashamed because I used to do these kind of purchases quite frequently. I used to convince myself that it wasn't all that much food, it's just today, yolo, etc. I would feel awful the rest of the day and the next.

I'm glad I am still on target for today. I had about 1000kcl so far and will have a chicken dinner, so should be able to do no more than 1500kcal. I feel like something possessed me and I had to really reason with it to not place this order.

CatNoBag · 26/02/2026 16:53

@Perimenoanti I had a kitchen clear-out before I started (which explains the extra 3lb gain after a fairly steady Christmas), and don't really have any justification for buying anything in, so that helps. I did get some snacks in over the weekend as we had possible snackers visiting (nothing too extreme, oaty biscuits from the health food shop & Welsh cakes). I haven't felt I wanted to eat them luckily, and the few chocolates hidden away somewhere in a tin and a bar of Tony's left over from Christmas that I occasionally come across are the same. Previously when I'd be stressed with work or something or other, I'd remember these and dive in. But so far, they've made it to another day untouched!

I do miss pastries - I'd usually have one from a lovely bakery as a weekend treat, but haven't since I started the jabs. I think it's as much the idea of it I miss as much as the eating! I know I can still have one if I want, but I'm holding off until end of April (it will be delicious!)

Perianth · 26/02/2026 17:01

@Perimenoanti you were tempted, but didn't succumb! That's something to be proud of, not embarrassed by. Well done for holding out. Enjoy your chicken dinner with a clear conscience and make the most of the fact that you have no reason to feel awful. These drugs help, for sure, but they definitely don't do all the work. And while you are feeling pleased with yourself, delete that Deliveroo app from your phone!

JHound · 26/02/2026 17:13

I am amazed reading some of these good losses even after just 2.5mg!

I am 5 weeks on MJ (4 on 2.5 and 1 on 5mg)
I will admit the first couple of weeks I did not make sure my meals were very very healthy, but I also have had slight satiety, lots of food noise still and no real appetite suppression.

My stats are:
SW: 17st 11
CW: 17st 9

GW: (Approx 10-11st)

2lbs in 5 weeks 😵

(I did lose more but also gained so levels out to 2lbs.)

I expect I will end up being one of those who gets to 10.5 before I feel anything

Perimenoanti · 26/02/2026 17:15

@CatNoBag I had the clearout too! It really does help not having anything in. I have craved crisps etc, but because I didn't have any at home I did not eat any. Going out to the shops to get some seemed bonkers, thank god. Today was another level though. I do eat the odd pastry in a cafe, but then it is just one and I cannot eat three before my body even gets the chance to send the signal that it is full. Now I'm stuffed from the three rice cakes lol.

I always have chocolate at home, but for me it has become like cheese. I eat a piece after dinner and that's it.

@Perianth Thank you. It does need a mindset shift if I ever want to enter maintenance, so I am hoping I can make this a habit. Cake and pastries are allowed, but not in bulk. That's what needs to change. At least I won't have to fear the scales now. Not sure I am ready to delete Deliveroo though, haha.

Hettar · 26/02/2026 14:51

That's an amazing loss. Well done! What's your weight?

Thanks, stats were at the top of my post, so I started at 14 st 5 and I’m now 12 st 5lb. ETA well done to you too, I’ve just seen your post.

I’m no longer worried about plateaus. So far I’ve had three weeks of 0lb loss but have made up for it in other weeks.

goldylock · 26/02/2026 18:07

@whiteandblackfluffycat Well done on the loss!

I usually inject to my stomach and get no bruises (I do have some muscle under the layer of chubby belly, as I play a lot of competition tennis).

My fatty is all around my stomach. So I think I have more SC tissue there.

Reading posts reminds me that we all have different situations and bodies...

CatNoBag · 26/02/2026 18:32

I'm another with a chubby belly, but it's also a map of scars after surgeries and I think you're meant to avoid scar tissue areas (I've got a long vertical line and 4 dots - two either side!). I've managed to find bits of my belly that are far enough away to jab so far, and also used my more muscular legs a few times. Not sure if my belly will shrink and make it more difficult to avoid the scars. It's got a life of its own these days - not sure I'll ever be back in a bikini. I got a tiny bruise on my belly the first time, and I think I have a faint one on my leg this week. I had to have my husband give me anticoagulant injections after I was discharged from hospital and those bruises were epic (the needles were much bigger)!

I remember those injections! They really stung me! I’m another with surgery scars on their stomach, as I’ve had multiple open surgeries - I have long horizontal lines above and below my belly button, and my belly button is not the same as it used to be! My jabs are done much further to the side though. I had two massive babies and c-sections and was back in a bikini after both, but after the open surgeries since and the resulting scars there’s no way I would wear a bikini again - and I had a flat stomach for years after those surgeries as I’ve always been very pear shaped. My stomach is almost there now in terms of weight; I’m pretty happy with my upper body.

I’ve settled on having my HRT patches on my thighs after some trial and error and don’t want to do both in the same area.

Re my bruising I think I’m hyper-mobile. Well, I know I am and I have many symptoms of EDS but I’ve never actually told a medical professional about any of it. I’ve needed surgery for various things that are symptoms of it, but they don’t check previous records and look at you as a whole so haven’t put everything together! Bruising is one of the minor symptoms, and I always have bruises on my body for no reason.

BooptotheFloof · 26/02/2026 22:02

whiteandblackfluffycat · 26/02/2026 13:48

Today I have lost 2 stone since 1st January!

5’6”
SW: 14.5
CW: 12.5

I’ve got my golden dose of 5mg tomorrow, and I have another pen ready for next week - I will be sticking to 5mg.

@goldylock I bruise every week, on my stomach. I switch sides every week and can remember which side I need to do by the bruise from the week before! I have muscular legs too but my stomach area being injected is definitely not muscular at that depth! 😂

That’s amazing!!!!
I’ve got 4lbs to go to get to 2 stone … and I know they are gonna be sooo hard - that will then be my half way point though so it’s all downhill from there!! 🎉🎉

Octagoneaway · 27/02/2026 07:10

Wow, @whiteandblackfluffycat and @BooptotheFloof 2 stone is amazing. I’ve only lost about 1 stone, which is a bit disappointing, but at least it’s all moving.

Now I’ve done a month on 5mg I’m really noticing that suppression decreases through the week. I’ve been moving my jab day back by a day a week to get from Sunday to Thursday. Yesterday, I was hungry all afternoon and did give in and eat some popcorn. Jabbed last night and full again this morning. I feel like a couple of days a week of slightly bigger meals might do me good, as I do find myself feeling tired.

Onbdy · 27/02/2026 07:36

Weigh day for me and another 2 pounds off. Very pleased with this as I’ve had a few meals out etc. I wasn’t terrible but I ate more than I would normally. 20 pounds so far and I’m about to take my first dose of 5mg. 😬

Ralphiesaurus · 27/02/2026 08:07

My weight is still yo yo ing all over the place. Had my whoosh, then my clothes felt way looser, so I weighed again and had apparently gained 2kg overnight! Er, no. I think this way madness lies😂. So I will try to weigh less often, trust the process, and the fact my waistbands are getting looser. Bonkers, though!

I'm also losing way slower than many others on here but am trying to ignore that and focus on it going in the right direction... mind over matter or something...aaargh!!

whiteandblackfluffycat · 27/02/2026 08:27

Thanks all, I’m very happy!

My pyjama bottoms literally fell down last night while I had my hands full so was unable to save them - luckily no one saw! I knew my trousers were feeling looser but this has never happened before! 😂 Luckily it won’t happen with my normal trousers due to the style and my massive hip bones!

CatNoBag · 27/02/2026 08:55

I had an unofficial weigh in today, and somehow managed to drop over a pound since yesterday. I did skip lunch yesterday (but had two breakfasts) and had a tough run + my digestion seems to have gotten moving again after a few swigs of lactulose, but the main headline is that I'm now a full stone down. Another one that's moving a bit slower, but I'm still happy with it.

Imagine if someone told us two months ago we'd be disappointed to have lost a stone! I'd set myself a little target of one stone by end of February, so I'm just happy to have ticked that off (I'm half expecting it to go up again as it was a lot to lose overnight, but I'm down 15lbs in total, having started 12th January, now on week 7, so there's a bit of elbow room). My next personal target is 21lbs by end of March, which would be 12:12, safely in the under 13 class, which I feel is definitely within reach now.

2026istheyear2 · 27/02/2026 09:31

End of week 8 and 1.9 pounds down. Takes me to 29.2 pounds down in total which I am delighted with. Going to stick on 3.75 for the time being.

HeavyMonsterSound · 27/02/2026 09:51

Morning everyone.

Weight drop the last couple of days after an increase due to over indulgence last weekend. Kinda figured out my salt intake was probably too high due to taking a notion for Cuppa Soups!

Now avoiding them as I guess they go under the super processed category.

Made a batch of chicken mince burgers. High protein and nice and easy to eat with plenty of veggies. Makes a change from my go to of chickpeas.

Increasing my dose to 1mg WG. Thought about staying on 0.5 but suppression the last few days hasn’t been good and my brain just wants an excuse to snack though the cupboards are bare of such delights thankfully.

I use Bolt and for the 1st time they offered me a discount by subscribing monthly, it can easily be stopped if required. So instead of £139 I payed £119. Happy with that as I had budgeted for more.

Hopefully 1mg is the sweet spot for me as it does seem quite an increase on 0.5. Time will tell.

Well done all you absolute losers! I don’t post much but love sitting down at night and reading all your stories. Makes my journey less lonely. I ain’t told a soul about the alchemy helping me, which I think has been the correct decision. A friend started a month before me and is getting the usual grief from those naturally thin and the anti vacs type doom mongers.

Here's my scores on the board after just under 7 weeks.

SW: 80kg (12.8 stone)
CW: 71.45kg (11.3.6 stone)
TW: 63.5kg (10 stone)

FrostyFlo · 27/02/2026 09:59

Just taken my 8th wg , going up to 1mg next week . Total loss so far ( 7th Jan ) is 1 stone 10 . However last 4 weeks has only been 4lb so I'm hoping it won't be a small loss for the next month .
I have 7 stone to lose so you'd think the loss would be steady .
I'm also experiencing diarrhoea so again , you'd think that would at least go some where showing on the scales .
I'm not eating too much so definitely in calorie deficit . Hopefully the next coming month will be better .

Sounds very similar to myself. Huge initial drop and now much less. The main thing is it’s still on a downward trend.

Here’s hoping moving up to 1mg does the trick for you.

Best wishes from one WG to another.

Perimenoanti · 27/02/2026 10:16

The 0.5mg wegovy are definitely kicking in today after Wednesdays injection. I can't imagine eating anything at all. I didn't have this since the early days of the 0.25mg dose eight weeks ago.

Looks like I am not plateauing after all as I lost just under a pound over night.

HollywoodTease · 27/02/2026 11:03

So happy to read everyone's positive stories!

Another small win for me today.

I do my logged weigh-in on my all-singing all-dancing body composition scales on a Tuesday when I do my jab, but I weigh daily on my shitty old bathroom scales that I've had forever.

Today my shitty old scales tell me I have finally lost a stone since my first jab on 20th Jan. Also my size 16 zebra jeans are only about an inch from fastening.

Happy days!

Springflowers3 · 27/02/2026 11:12

I really love reading everyone’s updates too.

I have also today finally hit the one stone mark. Seems to be a few of us. It’s very slow but steady for me, taking two weeks to lose the last pound and a good bit of yo-yoing but, as someone else said, it’s heading in the right direction. Everything is feeling looser, don’t feel so puffy, blood pressure is almost normal so all good.

I’m going to Spain for five days next week and intend to chill mostly. Once back I intend to calorie count more and ease off on the wine, that has crept back up which is clearly why the loss has slowed down.
