Great to hear everyone’s updates. Isn’t it interesting how different all our journeys are?
@cautiouslyoptimistic3 sorry to hear that you don’t think it’s working for you.

I am waiting for the whoosh! I’ve plateaued for what feels like ages now and put on a couple of lbs from my lowest weight, so I’m nearly six weeks in and frustratingly close to losing my first stone. I did Michael Mosley’s Fast 800 very successfully a couple of years ago and lost weight much more quickly with that.
I might up my dose on Friday if nothing has changed as I’m only on 3.33mg.
Like others, I’m eating smaller portions which feels like a great habit to get into but not feeling huge amounts of suppression any more.

Basically this is my update too.

Bit frustrated and doubled up on my 2.5 pen on Sunday night and have a 5mg pen in the fridge. Still not having huge suppression but have been a bit stricter with my intake over last few days. I do feel clothes are looser and my blood pressure has thankfully come down. Would just love to see a difference on the scales and not heading in the wrong direction.

Still waiting on the whoosh.

Weigh in day for me and it's another 2.2 kg loss. Very happy with that and will continue with 2.5 mg.

SW 136.5 kg
MJ-SW 128.5 kg
CW 113.3 kg
Total loss 23.2 kg (3.6 stone)

😵 that's incredible. How did you do that?

CatNoBag · 25/02/2026 08:55

I had an extra weigh in today and was down about a pound from yesterday. Things have been a bit see-saw-ey for a week or two, but still generally in the right direction. I'm now .4 of a pound away from losing my first stone (took my 7th jab (3.33mg) on Monday). I'm not losing the big numbers others are seeing, but I'm happy enough with it. I'm eating less, but all healthy, nutritious and tasty and I can see myself keeping to a similar version of what I'm eating now when the time comes to maintain. I don't want to up my dose too much because I need to be able to eat enough to fuel my exercise (I'm training for a marathon!), and at the moment I feel like I have plenty of energy, actually more than before when I would justify some extra calories with the exercise. I need to be a bit more on top of my game with meal planning though, and getting started on dinner. Because I'm not as hungry as before, I find myself still working past 7pm with no idea what we're having for dinner - which is a slippery slope to a plate of pasta!

MrTiddlesTheCat · 25/02/2026 09:33

Perimenoanti · 25/02/2026 08:51

😵 that's incredible. How did you do that?

Purely by not eating several bars of chocolate a day. My meals have always been well balanced and the right size. I use old weightwatchers recipes. My problem was that after a meal I didn't feel full and had an overwelming drive to eat chocolate until I felt sick.

I'm assuming the loss rate will slow down as the difference between what I need to maintain and lose gets narrower.

bec81 · 25/02/2026 10:43

Weigh in day here too, and im pleasantly surprised. Down 1.3kg

Starting weight: 81.5kg
End of Wk 1: 77.8kg (-3.7)
End of Wk 2: 76.8kg (-1)
End of wk 3: 76.2kg (-0.6)
End of wk 4: 75.5 (-0.7)
End of wk 5: 73.9kg (-1.6)
End of wk 6: 73.5kg (-0.4)
End of wk 7: 72.4kg (-1.3)
Total weight loss: (9.1kg)
Tw: 55-60kg

Weeks 1-4 on 0.25mg, week 5 on 0.33mg, week 6-7 on 0.5mg.

Im happy with my losses and how i feel in general so have asked my supplier to change my prescription to stay at 0.5mg instead of increasing for next month.

Blimey! Since the beginning of Jan?

Not all of it. I started trying to lose weight with the help of a dietician in january last year and lost 8 kg. Then it flatlined when I was diagnosed with breast cancer. So january this year I admitted defeat and decided to try mounjaro. So 15.2 kg is since the beginning of january this year.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 25/02/2026 13:08

Here's a picture of the new golden dose free pen after it's delivered the 4th dose. You can see there's still a bit of extra liquid but not a full dose.

AddUpToNothing · 25/02/2026 13:09

Happy Wednesday everyone.

I’ve been absent due to a very busy week at work, so just catching up on the thread now. Great to see how everyone is getting on.

My last weigh in was Saturday and I weighed in at 14st 12. I started at 16st 1 so it’s very exciting to see a 14 on the scale even if it is only just 😂

I’m still finding I have high suppression so I’m not really eating breakfast for the first time in my life. I never leave the house without breakfast whatever the circumstances! So I usually make a clear protein drink and take something into work like a piece of fruit to eat around 9am when I feel like I could eat.

Has anyone else felt like their mood has improved? I’ve definitely noticed an improvement the past couple of weeks within myself.

Perimenoanti · 25/02/2026 14:06

@adduptonothing good point on the mood. I feel much more energetic and only then did I realise how down, slow and heavy everything seemed before. Im somehow hoping its my diet and not the wegovy. Id hate to return to it post wegovy.

Do they make them like that?

Yes, they're phasing them in. I'm in Sweden and my second pen was the new type.

FrothyCothy · 25/02/2026 18:50

Today was the first day looking at my face on Teams that’s I felt like I could see a bit of a difference. Scales dropped again slightly this morning - I wonder if eating at maintenance (or, if I’m honest, above it!) for a few days last week has helped nudge things along.

0.5mg arrived today. Wrapped in sheep’s wool - dog attacked it and there’s sheep’s wool everywhere 🤣 jab is thankfully intact! To answer my own question from a few days ago, I went with IQ Doctor for my third pen and no issues, seamless ordering and delivery (minus the sheep!).

BeWildPearlFish · 25/02/2026 19:51

I've just reordered for a third 2.5mg, losses are small but steady (9kg since starting first week of Jan) and I'm actually feeling less food noise as the weeks go on. I was thinking of switching to get a cheaper deal but Bolt had an option to subscribe monthly which was £149 instead of £169, happy with that

Hotfirewood · 25/02/2026 21:48

8.5 weeks on MJ and lost 9kg 👏

Loss was slower on the second pen (5mg). Did the golden dose last weekend. I’ve ordered another 5mg.

5’7”
SW 81kg
CW 72kg (bmi 24.9)
TW 60-65 (I think 60kg will be too skinny tbh)

goldylock · 26/02/2026 12:49

I injected into my thigh 3 weeks ago and still have a yellow y bruise today! I injected per the diagram locations. I have pretty muscular legs/thighs tho. Wonder if I injected to muscle.

I did not feel anything different injecting there.

Second 5 mg pen, Day 1

Juat about to go collect 5 mg pen. I weighed myself this morn and another 1lb down. The usual, gyming and playing tennis. Slow but steady.

Lets see how the second 5 mg works!

You’ve lost about the same as me and I’ve reordered 2.5 for my first pen, I order via Asda pharmacy £138. I was really torn whether to go up but I think I’ll try one more month and 2.5mg and see how I go x

Hettar · 26/02/2026 13:43

Hi everyone

Just finished week 7 on 2.5mg.

SW: 17 st 8lbs
CW: 15st 12lbs
GW 12 st
Total loss: 24 lbs

It's been a very odd week for me with gradual losses each day, totalling 3lbs over the week. Ordinarily I don't lose over 5-6 days then have a woosh.

InstantRegret · 26/02/2026 13:47

I’m faffing 😵‍💫 Has anyone here used 2.5mg out of a 5mg pen? 30 clicks I believe?
I did not intend to click count at all as I am not one to “mess about” with medication but my 5mg arrived and after bad side effects last week I was hesitant to go up despite wanting to go up when I ordered the next pen. I was due to jab today so I did the 30 clicks and jabbed but now I’m panicking! The plunger bit looks like it hardly moved? So now I’m wondering if it worked 😬 Also, will I get poorly doing it this way 😫
I guess I’ll have to count 30 clicks again next week to get another 2.5mg then the following week go up to the full 5mg dose if the side effects have settled.
I guess I just want someone that has click counted to reassure me that they were ok and nothing untoward happened?!

whiteandblackfluffycat · 26/02/2026 13:48

Today I have lost 2 stone since 1st January!

5’6”
SW: 14.5
CW: 12.5

I’ve got my golden dose of 5mg tomorrow, and I have another pen ready for next week - I will be sticking to 5mg.

@goldylock I bruise every week, on my stomach. I switch sides every week and can remember which side I need to do by the bruise from the week before! I have muscular legs too but my stomach area being injected is definitely not muscular at that depth! 😂

Just finished week 7 on 2.5mg.

SW: 17 st 8lbs
CW: 15st 12lbs
GW 12 st

That must be really motivating. I can already tell I am on my next plateau after whooshing last weekend. Hopefully I start to relax about it. From counting calories I sort of knew I should be losing soon, but I still wasn't sure if maybe I am doing something wrong. Probably I will only lose every other week now. At least on the scales. I did notice my clothes becoming much more loose before the scales finally dropped.

CatNoBag · 26/02/2026 15:04

@InstantRegret - I click counted to 3.33mg on my 5mg pen (40 clicks). I'm no worse for it and keeping it in the fridge for at least a few weeks (I had the 2.5mg stored in my desk). I'm guessing the amount of liquid in the pen is the same as they are the same size, but the concentration is higher? Does that make sense? Plenty of people on here, other Mumsnet thread and Reddit etc have done the click counting, so I wouldn't worry too much about it. I've marked the line for 40 clicks with a red sharpie in case I lose count one week!
