104.5kg this morning which is about my lowest weight since Jan 2025. Last 0.25 jab tonight (week 8) before I order 0.5. Slow and steady loss of 6.5kg, just over a stone, but given my indulgences of last week I’ll take it as a win.

That's a good loss. I don't think its slow. I think some of the losses reported here are exceptional.

Hotfirewood · 23/02/2026 21:01

Still retching after brushing my teeth every day. I’ve now had 5 doses of 5mg, no appetite. I’m waiting for another 5mg pen to arrive for my next jab on Sunday, then I might drop back to 2.5mg.

I’m worried about not getting enough protein or fat. I can’t stomach the idea of more food. Today I’ve had:

  • protein shake with collagen powder
  • red apple
  • 2 slices of sourdough with butter
  • 1 boiled egg
  • half a cup of chicken broth

ChatGPT says that’s 620 calories and I’m at a loss what to eat now before bed that isn’t going to make me vomit. I’ve got another boiled egg on my plate but it turns my stomach.

Any tips for boosting calories without actually eating much?

cautiouslyoptimistic3 · 23/02/2026 21:23

I did the golden dose for the first time today. Watched videos and had the right syringes. I was very careful drawing out the right amount. But it bent a bit in the process. Thought it would be ok. Injected but it felt harder to do and I was worried about pushing needle in too much as it’s longer than the usual one. I’ve done it but now have a raised clear bump on the skin. And a tiny speck of blood. I think I haven’t injected far enough in maybe. Anybody had this? Any advice?

cautiouslyoptimistic3 · 23/02/2026 21:26

@Hotfirewooddon’t force yourself to eat today if you really can’t. But maybe tomorrow it might be better to swap the bread for some protein - like chicken or yoghurt. Maybe some vegetables. I think some people go off eggs and bread.

cautiouslyoptimistic3 · 23/02/2026 21:29

Also had to go ahead with the golden dose as my new supplier forgot to send me needles with my new pen. Is that normal? Am I meant to order them separately. They did send me a sharps bin though.

Very true - comparison is the thief of joy I guess!

My supplier (Bolt) send needles and a sharps bin with each order. They should be supplying you with enough needles to use your pen!

Not sure about your golden dose. Hopefully if it’s under the skin, then job’s a good un, weird lumps and bent needles be damned!

BooptotheFloof · 23/02/2026 23:56

I’ve been a bit quiet as I plateaued last week even after taking two doses of 2.5mg on week 7 - it made me feel really nauseous AND I didn’t lose any weight for that whole week

I had a major wobble and decided I wasn’t going to continue as it’s too much money to lose if it isn’t working

But then last Thursday as a last ditch effort thought I’d try the pen to see if I could get the fifth dose out of it

I simply gave it a bloody good twist and got the whole rest of the dose that was left in the pen so assume that’s about another 2.5??

Anyway since then I have dropped another 4 lbs - despite going away for the weekend and eating more than usual

I am aiming to eat around 800 calories a day and coping really well on it

Either muesli and blueberries or a wrap with marmite for breakfast

Then lunch is salad with either egg or avocado

Dinner is masses of veg plus some sort of meat or egg

I have now lost 24 lbs in total - but still have 34lbs to go!

BMI today hit 29 which is the lowest it has been for a very long time

I have just bought another 2.5 pen and plan to do 4 weeks of 2.5 and then use an extra dose if I am really struggling at anytime during the month

Weightloss comparisons:

I have lost a whole car tyre or 44 packs of butter 🎉

Yay @BooptotheFloof I’m glad you got over your wobble and plauteau! Also glad that someone is eating similarly to me!

I weighed this morning and was very excited when it showed 12.5 which would have been two stone off! However I weighed again and it showed 12.7, the same as yesterday! I’m using my scales on a hard floor but placement on the floor still makes a difference with my scales so I’m having to weigh a few times to double check!

I’ve (definitely!) lost 26lbs which is apparently the size of a two year old toddler!

I forgot to say yesterday that I’ve been ill since last Thursday with some sort of horrid cold/ flu, so I’ve not been getting my usual exercise in, and I’ve not been sleeping well either as I’ve been coughing/ congested.

Ralphiesaurus · 24/02/2026 08:27

Finally had a whoosh and am officially overweight, not obese!

SW 14st 12lb
CW 13st 5lb
GW tbd!! (Now I know it's actually working...)

It's way slower than many on here but I think it's sustainable. I also have floor-sensitive scales, @whiteandblackfluffycat and only believe the weight when I see it several times. Mind games!

BooptotheFloof · 24/02/2026 08:29

I put my scales in exactly the same place every day - I align with my bathroom floor tiles - it can make a couple of lbs difference if it is placed somewhere else!

I think this says more about my unstable floor than my unstable weight! 😂

OP posts:
whiteandblackfluffycat · 24/02/2026 09:21

Haha, I’m glad I’m not the only one playing games with my scales! 😂

Perimenoanti · 24/02/2026 10:00

My scales are not to play with. I keep going up when I don't like the number but it is consistent. But I am also not stupid, so when I do like the number I only go up once. 😂

HollywoodTease · 24/02/2026 10:25

My scales also change depending where I put them. Might treat them to some new batteries!

Anyhow dose 6 today, #2 of 5mg.

SW. 99.8KG
CW. 94.15KG
1ST GW 90KG
LOSS 5.65KG (12.75lbs)

That's 0.8kg or 1.75lbs off this week so still going in the right direction albeit slowly. That first stone is tantalisingly close now!

For me I think the next step (literally) is to look at exercise as at the moment I do very little. I'm sat at a desk at work 8-10 hours a day with no chance to get up and move, and it's too dark/cold/wet (or I'm too lazy!) to move much when I get in. Time to start walking again, and to dig out my weights and kettlebells for strength training.

FrothyCothy · 24/02/2026 10:29

@HollywoodTease do you have the kind of job where you could walk on a treadmill while working? I replaced my desk chair with a walking treadmill - now I must confess I don’t use it nearly enough, but for tasks that don’t require much thought or meetings where I am not required to contribute it’s a good way to get some steps in. Sadly I too often end up sat at the dining table for 10 hours a day which is not conducive to getting my steps in!

HollywoodTease · 24/02/2026 10:30

Put another way though, I am now over halfway to my first goal of being under 90kg (14 stone). Hopefully will get there when I order my next pen.

I then need to choose another goal!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to go up to 7.5 with my next order. Suppression is OK during the day and I'm not tempted by snacks and alcohol at the moment, but I'm still getting hungry in the evenings and I don't think I've cracked portion control yet. 🤔

HollywoodTease · 24/02/2026 10:31

Sadly not Frothy, I work in an open-plan office with 6 other people.

cautiouslyoptimistic3 · 24/02/2026 11:05

Well done @HollywoodTeasereally good progress. The dumbbells and kettlebells sound like a good idea. I think even squats every time the kettle boil works too. Whatever it takes to start.

Etherealcelestialbeing · 24/02/2026 17:57

Well I have finally shifted my first stone! Taking that as a win.
It is disheartening though realising how much my height affects my weight loss. I am only 5ft 2 and so, despite having lost a stone, down to 12st 6, I am still quite a way up in the ‘obese’ section of the BMI chart. I just cannot believe that I may get down to 10 stone and still be officially ‘overweight’ Confused

Some small pre-prepped food wins to share - I found super berry skyr pouches in Aldi which are low fat, low processed and high protein. Also I ended up needing breakfast out and only had access to Starbucks. I found their egg bites (just ham, cheese and eggs) which were great high protein, low carb option!

NewPantsforaNewYear · 25/02/2026 00:07

Great to hear everyone’s updates. Isn’t it interesting how different all our journeys are?
@cautiouslyoptimistic3 sorry to hear that you don’t think it’s working for you.

I am waiting for the whoosh! I’ve plateaued for what feels like ages now and put on a couple of lbs from my lowest weight, so I’m nearly six weeks in and frustratingly close to losing my first stone. I did Michael Mosley’s Fast 800 very successfully a couple of years ago and lost weight much more quickly with that.
I might up my dose on Friday if nothing has changed as I’m only on 3.33mg.
Like others, I’m eating smaller portions which feels like a great habit to get into but not feeling huge amounts of suppression any more.

ThisAmusedPoet · 25/02/2026 07:10

Weigh in and check in day!

weight loss has slowed this week, now I’m wondering if I should have gone up to 7.5mg. Too late now as my next 5mg pen has arrived but annoying! I am still losing overall. And no side effects so I consider myself lucky. Actually have had way more energy despite lower calories.

SW 1/1/26 - 93.3kg
MJ1 (2.5mg) 7/1/26 - 90.3 kg -3kg
MJ2 14/1/26 - 87.5kg -2.8kg
MJ3 21/1/26 - 86.5kg -1kg
MJ4 28/1/26 - no scale
MJ5 (5mg) 5/2/26 - no scale
MJ6 11/2/26 - 84.05kg -2.45kg
MJ7 18/2/26 - 83.05kg -1kg
MJ8 25/2/26 - 82.5kg -0.5kg
GW - 68kg
Total loss: -10.8kg

well done everyone on your losses!

Well done on losing the first stone!

Height does have a big impact on what is a healthy weight for each of us, so there’s no point comparing your weight with someone of a different height. I’ve got down to 12st 6* from 14st 5. My DH is a foot taller at 6’6” and my obese starting weight would be in the healthy range for him!

*as of today, though following on from yesterday I also had a 12.4 and 12.5! I had a couple of 12.6 though, and nothing higher so will go with that!

I’m only doing so well because I’m only eating 800-1000 calories alongside it, plus exercising. I’ve said before that I was putting weight on at 1400-1500 (and I’m 5’6”). Have been reading yet another weight loss thread where people are able to lose weight at 1700 - in my dreams! I’m not feeling deprived though as I’m eating high protein and non processed foods, so it feels like I’m eating plenty of nutritious food.

totallyfrusted · 25/02/2026 08:10

Weigh in day for me today a very disappointing 300gr loss so not even a pound.

im not surprised as I lost a lot over the past couple of weeks so my body must be holding onto everything I eat now. I am also horribly constipated.

I have officially lost 10kg (1stone 8lds) which was my first goal and I have got there after 6 weeks which is a lot quicker than I thought it would be.

SW 100kg
CW 90kg

Next target is 85kg.

im off to take my 3rd 5mg dose and will need to decide whether to stay at 5 or go up to 7.5 as my supplier will be asking in the next couple of days.

well done everyone on all your losses
