I thought we should start a new thread as we are getting close to full on thread two

I weighed myself this morning and I have now lost the weight of a Kitchenaid mixer!

What kitchen appliance / Household item have you lost!?

6 x 2.5 MJ doses later …..
CW 12 stone 2
Loss 21lbs!!!

I am mid way through week 2 on my second pen and stuck with 2.5 - although am tempted to go up as my suppression is nowhere near the same as it was

I am being tempted and my willpower is waining

morning all.

weigh in day for me today and after a horrible week of side effects and 5 weeks of MJ I’ve lost a total 9.7kg

SW 100kg (15stone 5lbs)
CW 90.3kg (14 stone 2lbs)

my first goal was 90kg and I’ve got there a lot sooner than anticipated which is great but it’s not been healthy and it’s certainly not sustainable.

im going to set my next goal as 85kg as I know things will slow down.

now i need to decide whether to chance another 5mg dose or click count and go back to 2.5

I think ill do the same. Im not sure i want to go any higher, and i dont want too much suppression as I want to be able to maintain without it.

First week on 0.5mg. Weigh in day this morning. I groggily hopped on the scales before my shower. Got a reading of 75.5kg (last week was at 73.9kg). I had already started washing my hair before I started to process it. Obviously I couldn't weigh again with wet hair (I have looong hair, it wouldn't weigh loads when wet i imagine) so I walked the kids to school, got home, got out the hairdryer (this usually only comes out for special ocassions) to make sure my hair was bone dry and not carrying any extra weight (ridiculous, i know), stripped off and jumped back on the scales, 73.5kg! That's better.

So only a small (0.4kg) loss this morning, which is my smallest loss yet, but its a lot better than a 1.6kg gain.

Do your jab. Nip to the pharmacy and buy loperamide. You'll be right!

@totallyfrusted it’s a tricky one isn’t it. You could stick with 5mg and treat your side effects like I guess we would with any other medication that caused side effects.

Or if you really wanted to go back down, you could click count to 3.75mg rather than halving it back to 2.5mg?

I've stuck to 5mg for my next pen. I've been getting good suppression and a bit more nausea so I'm not ready to go up yet. Mind you, my weight is still a pickle/enigma... back UP again this morning. No idea why as I know I've been eating sensibly... hey ho.

Jab #3 of 5mg done today. Still hoping for another "whoosh" at some point!

Does click-counting actually work?

A PP said the reason you can't just put a spare needle on and retrieve the golden dose is because the pen is designed so you can only do 4 "pushes" with it - would this still apply if you were clicking to less than the 1 marker?

Sorry if it's a daft question. I'd just be worried the pen would lock itself after 4 doses even if they were part doses if you see what I mean?

I am travelling back home today, the thing i have noticed is that my trousers are too big
These were brand new before I went on holiday size 14
But there is just so much material, I don't feel comfortable or very well put together
But equally don't want to buy a smaller size and gain the weight back

Maybe if you wash them they might shrink a bit?

a couple of reasons, my food noise has really come back today and i don’t like it and secondly I can’t afford to waste the money.

I haven't gotten to the point of testing the theory yet, but I'm guessing the pens will plunge up until you've used up the stated dosage. My first pen I tested to see if it would keep turning for the golden dose and I managed a few extra clicks before it got stuck. Worst case, I have a good batch of golden dose needles, I'll just have to know how much to extract each week!

Well today has made the decision for me - I am going up to 0.5 next jab - out for the day with the kids and have eaten like a horse 🙄

@totallyfrusted I’ve got my fingers crossed for you! I have been waiting for 2 days for side effects and nothing yet!

Not a great couple of days for me as have been away. Hoping to have maintained rather than crept up on the scales tomorrow.

The pens are good for about 250 clicks (240 for 4 full doses and some spare for priming) I believe. A full dose being 60 clicks. So if you’re taking for example 2.5mg doses out of a 5mg pen, that’s only 30 clicks each time, so you’d get 8 doses before the pen locks.

So it locks after a number of clicks, not the number of pushes. I understand now 🙂

I also saw on a different thread about WLI that at least one provider (might have been Voy) is now selling pens on a longer subscription so you can count clicks, and telling you how to do it. Although they do warn that you are taking the medicine "off-label". I think it was on one of the maintenance threads.
