Coming off the Jabs - please tell me what happened?

I’ve been off Mounjaro for 2 months now. I got down to my target and started to worry about the injections so decided to stop - I’ve gained 5lbs in that time.
Currently trying to maintain by counting calories (1350 a day) 10,000 daily steps plus running 5K x3 times a week.
Was anyone able to maintain following a similar pattern?
I’m sure the 5lbs gained has gone straight to my stomach and hips, but otherwise I still feel quite lean.

Any advice and tips welcome!

TIA Flowers

that is what I am thinking also

when I start to wonder if I should just stop I look at my before pictures and I think of the hell I went through weighing 7 stone more than my current weight

it has not been easy but my god the difference is unbelievable

How are you doing now @coconuttyz almost 2mth on ?

I’ve now been off the jabs for a couple of months, since hospitalisation with pancreatitis, and I’m 2 weeks post op from gallbladder removal. I’ve now gained 4lb in total, the food noise is back with a vengeance, craving everything I haven’t given a thought to for a year and I feel absolutely starving 100% of the time. All my joint pain has returned also, my sleep pattern is dreadful and I feel pretty crap tbh. Unlikely I’ll ever be able to go back on it now I’ve had pancreatitis, despite it being caused by a stuck gallstone, which is now not going to be a problem, so I’m desperately trying to find some willpower from somewhere (which, historically, hasn’t worked well for me, hence ending up 10st overweight!). Feeling pretty despondent as I have another stone or two to lose.

Why can't you go back on it ?
I had my gallbladder out and I'm on it

Because of the pancreatitis I had due to the gallstones. Nowhere will prescribe after pancreatitis

I came off Wegovy and the food noise and hunger was immediate and compulsive. I put on a stone and a half fairly quickly. I'm back on it now and expect to be for a looong time.

Edited

Did you titrate down and how did you manage that? What are you going to do now in terms of dosage?
I’m on 1mg of Wegovy and at target weight. I am spacing out the jabs by one day each time intending to get to dosing every fortnight. Then I’ll move to 0.5 and do the same and so on. If it doesn’t work….well, on 20th March the patents run out and new, cheaper drugs will start to become available which may, in time, prove another game changer.

SilenceInside · 18/03/2026 07:49

@Maryb54 I thought that was the patent expiry date for countries like Canada and the US? The UK patent for Wegovy runs until 2031, was my understanding.
