It is expensive, even on Vinted. I keep looking for a bargain but haven’t spotted anything that’s a steal yet. A couple of things are in my favourites list.

TragicMuse · 08/02/2026 18:09

That is a lovely dress!

Worth keeping an eye on the actual Disturbia website, their sale stuff is often cheaper than on Vinted, and they also have a shop on eBay.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/02/2026 18:21

Wow so much lovely news 😊

@PearlTeapot Im so unbelievably happy for you ❤️

@Onenotsosmallstep That is definitely a "not so small step". 10 stone!! That's amazing 🎉🎉.

@eibbed999 You look amazing!!.

Heated throw/blanket .... is my favourite thing ever!! Follows me everywhere (and I'm under it now). I can't work out if we're feeling the cold more than others or just this is what normal is and we just were extra insulated.

Those of you just out of teens or nearly our of teens... I'm hoping to join you very soon.

I've been slowly inching towards "Not Obese" and I got there this morning 🎉🎉.

(I know it will likely go up and down a bit over the next week or two, and it's really only a smidge below 30 - but it's in the right direction!)

I do think it's only people on this thread that would get how exciting it is to be "overweight"!!!

I’ve got some stuff in their sales but I didn’t know about the eBay shop so I will definitely check that out, thank you!

SilenceInside · 08/02/2026 18:24

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden oh my goodness that’s a brilliant milestone to achieve! I am really thrilled for you. It’s such a weird feeling to realise that you’re no longer obese, and under that pesky 30 barrier. It took me an age to work out when I had last been “not obese”, and it was decades ago.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 08/02/2026 18:27

Oh Fatsia are you really under 30 now?

Yaaaaay!!!!

For me it was 14 years ago. Briefly after birth of my second child before The Grand Ascent weight wise began.

My kids have never really known me not obese 😔.

I saw some friends today I'd not seen in ages who were complimentary but slim themselves so I didn't get the prying questions. But it felt so lovely to not be worried about seats, being judged for what I'd choose to eat with my drink, and for it just not to be an issue - to be able to just chat and it not dominate my life anymore.

Life itself is stressful now - but I'm so so pleased at where I'm at compared to a year ago. I need to be able to keep affording this 🤞.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/02/2026 18:31

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne by a little smidge....!! Probably will go up and down a bit until it's a "true" result... But so exciting!

Wl has slowed to about a pound a week.. But im feeling hopeful again today 😊.

eibbed999 · 08/02/2026 18:33

Congratulations @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden - and we totally get it, I dream of merely being overweight!

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/02/2026 18:36

@eibbed999 Thats where bmi makes no sense isn't it. You look amazing and much slimmer than I do!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 08/02/2026 18:50

Well done @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden I don't think I've ever been 'overweight', at least not as an adult. I was 15stone when I was doing my A levels so have basically been obese my entire life 😥

I'm tall, it's easier to disguise - but I'm still in the high 30s.

PearlTeapot · 08/02/2026 19:05

Picture of me leaving today really shows the lipoedema in my legs and hips. They’re solid! But a happy photo nonetheless 🥰

We’ve just arrived home. It was a long old drive, we left at 930!

@FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden amazing to no longer be obese! how funny to think you would now not qualify for the injections. Congrats xxx

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne thank you. I hope I never go back. I want to stay in my life!

You look fabulous @PearlTeapot - and more importantly, happy! Good luck at home, it can be hard adjusting after an extended hospital stay. Enjoy your new heated blanket x

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/02/2026 19:10

WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You can go to sleep in your own bed tonight :)

I hope you are so proud of the journey you've been on those last 4 months. Well done x

Onenotsosmallstep · 08/02/2026 19:57

Congratulations @FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden. What a wonderful feeling that must be. In the bracket of (for the majority) being too slim to qualify even for the WLIs had you not already had them. I remember your early posts so well, you’ve inspired me all along the journey, thank you!

@eibbed999 you look fab and super glad you had a great time.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 08/02/2026 21:55

And I think technically I'd be eligible to start at 27 bmi as I have asthma but it's bizarre to think people start at the weight I am!

Kay2000 · 08/02/2026 22:04

Hi everyone, haven’t been on in a while but I’m still on MJ, still losing (slowly) and just thought I’d check in to say hello. I hope everyone is well.

I’ve now lost 5st 5lb since January 2025, currently on 12.5mg. I’m FINALLY on the NHS BMI chart having gone from 54 to 41 and I’m aiming for it to be between 30 and 35, in order to be referred for my poor arthritic knees and hips. I’m in constant pain with my back, which also has osteoarthritis, bone spurs and bulging discs and if it wasn’t for that I’d be a lot more mobile than I’m able to be. Which is really frustrating. However, I have to keep reminding myself of the NSVs, and that I’d not only be in pain all the time, I’d also be struggling a lot more because of my weight. Anyway, my goal this year is to keep going, and hopefully lose about another 3.5-4 stone and then reassess.

Well done, that’s brilliant! It seems a long time before we were both too scared to start MJ!

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 08/02/2026 22:16

Just realised I've hit another milestone this week - MFP is finally saying I've lost weight! I first set it up a few years ago when I was around 105kg, but the whole way through my MJ so far I've been above that weight, meaning that it kept telling me I hadn't lost any weight. I've finally got below that marker so it will now start tracking my losses 🤣 I'm choosing to focus on the victory though, rather than being depressed about how much I'd put on in a relatively short period of time 🙈

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 09/02/2026 00:38

OMG @RenegadeKeeblerElf that's really funny.

But really good, too!

Weigh in day, and a gain of 2lbs. All because of one blow-out yesterday. No regrets, it was a 21st, a special day, and the chocolate orange martinis were worth it! But still. It does make me think about how controlled I have to be to lose weight these days. My body does not seem at all keen on moving beyond the 5 stone mark, and the slightest indulgence leads immediately to a gain, which doesn't bode well for me long term. It will come off, but it's not feasible to live the rest of my life on low calories and expensive drugs. Much to mull over, and for now the focus needs to be on finally getting below 237lbs - I first hit that weight on Dec 8 and still haven't gone lower, in fact I went back to 252lb over Christmas! I'll aim to have a good week - though for me, that just means staying in the house, where I'm more likely to behave myself. That's tricky because I'm a very sociable person and love being out and about with my pals and family - but needs must, I feel like I have to have a quiet time to get back on track! I lost 6lb last week, gained 2 this time, it's an insane rollercoaster. But looking at the bigger picture, I've still only lost around one stone since the end of July. Aaaagh. I will keep reading your stories, keep taking inspiration from your successes - and hope it all settles down into something more consistent!

SW: 307lb
CW: 239lb

Doggymummar · 09/02/2026 08:54

Almost three pound off this week you can really feel it when smaller. So 158.4 today almost back to my pre Christmas weight of 156.4.

Messing about with partial doses really screews me up, I can see it needs to be the full 15 and every week to lose, anything else I just maintain.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 09/02/2026 14:32

Really grateful for MJ today - it's 14.30 and I have been run off my feet at work so no chance to eat anything. I've managed a tea and half a can of pepsi max and that is all my calories for the day so far. No chance I'd have managed that without MJ!
