@SilenceInside can't lie, I loved it too. Started off in 2xl hoodies!

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne yes I'm under a heated blanket now, it is washed on a low setting, it says not to tumble dry. It's a silent night one.

@PearlTeapot I bet you're so excited to be going home!

Onenotsosmallstep · 07/02/2026 08:11

Thanks so much everyone for all your lovely comments, I did have a great night!

@PearlTeapot I’m on countdown for you. What fantastic news.

@SnowWhiteisMyFavourite soft focus setting on Teams is your friend!

Motnight · 07/02/2026 08:44

What fantastic news @PearlTeapot !

MummyInTheNecropolis · 07/02/2026 08:52

@PearlTeapot how fantastic! I bet you can’t wait to be home!

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I’m so sorry your son is going through this, such a worrying time for you. Doesn’t matter how old they are, the worry is always the same!

A little NSV for me last night - I went kayaking! Not something I would’ve or could’ve ever considered before, but it was so much fun! It was in an indoor pool but they do lots of trips which I might consider after a few more pool sessions. Met some really nice people and we all went to the pub together afterwards (another thing I wouldn’t have done before - would never have had the confidence to go to the pub with a group of strangers on a whim).

I am really enjoying my new found confidence, I’m doing so many new activities that I would never have been able to do before MJ. I’ve decided I’m going to aim for one new activity a month for the rest of the year. January was Thai boxing and dancing, February was kayaking, I will let you know when I’ve decided what March will be! 😄

My hot blanket is my joy! I haven’t washed it yet but it is supposed to be washable so I reckon I’d be asking for my money back if it didn’t work afterwards.

No heated blankets here however…I did splurge on our recent sofa purchase…it has heated seats, and fully reclines! I don’t think I ve seen the end of a programme since getting it 💤

TragicMuse · 07/02/2026 09:47

Week 49, 10mg

SW 19st 4lbs (Jan 2025, pre-MJ)
SW on MJ 18st 11.5lbs (1 Mar 2025)
CW 13st 0.5lbs
Change this week -1lbs
Total loss 85lbs/6st 3.5lb

I’ve gone all over the place this week, it’s been hard to see when I’ve not actually overdone it anywhere.

Onwards and downwards losers…

Lobsterteapot · 07/02/2026 10:02

Morning all,
Not been on here for yonks but I’m still going - 6 stone 10 off and feeling fab.
Starting to contemplate the end of the journey and maintenance (in a stone and a half time) are there maintenance on Mounjaro/life after Mounjaro threads please? I’ve had a look and can’t find any.
Hope everyone is good x

Lobsterteapot · 07/02/2026 10:23

Thank you @MummyInTheNecropolis xx

Fffreeeeezing · 07/02/2026 13:40

Week 47 and an unexpected 2lb off bringing me to….…. 8st 1lb loss

So close to that BMI number being under 40 (yes, I agree, BMI is nonsense but for lack of something better to use at this stage)

5 weeks to go to my MJversary and I’m thinking another 13lb off in that time is slightly over ambitious (my mini goal was 9st in 52 weeks) but you never know…..I’ve got a haircut coming up and I could lose a limb? 🤣

Mini goals:

  1. under 100kg - 11.5kg to go
  2. 10st loss - 1st 13lb to go

Keep going all those of you struggling, the human body’s a weird thing and it will start doing its losing thing when you least expect it.

I really recommend strength training to those of you that aren’t yet. The size 18 M&S jeans I bought mid January (the ones with zero stretch) that did surprisingly fit on the day I bought them, I put them on less then 2 and a half weeks later and they are all kinds of baggy on the arse and legs and looser around the waist and hips, I put that entirely down to strength training.

Onwards and downwards losers!

Some amazing losses!

I dont have a heated throw. My office gets cold so I will put on a fleece except that all my fleeces are 5XL and I am not so I end up somewhat swamped.

EnterSandfan · 07/02/2026 15:35

Highest weight: 293lbs (Nov 2020, pre-MJ)
SW on MJ 253lbs (13 Nov 2025)
CW 225.1lbs/16 stone 1lb
Loss this week 2.2lbs
GW: 10 stone/140lbs ish

Another 2lb off this week. Need to start strength training!
I'm doing my first golden dose today, wish me luck as I'm scared of doing it wrong!

Aaah well done @MummyInTheNecropolis ! I used to love kayaking, definitely want to do it again when I've lost more weight. Something I've always wanted to try but always been too heavy for: horse riding! Will definitely treat myself to a lesson one day, maybe that's something for your list if you've not tried it?

diggitydoo · 07/02/2026 16:14

well I finally had a loss after a couple of weeks of the scales (and my mental health) being all over the place.

So now I've lost 2 stone since November. Hurrah. Only another fucking 10 to go!

It feels unsurmountable , almost completely impossible.

But i read all your posts and apparently it's not.

I look absolutely no different, and nobody has noticed, which I'm really relieved about. But also it feels kinda surreal and I can't quite believe it if you know what I mean.

It also makes me realise why I didn't realise I'd got so heavy, because I'm wearing all the same clothes. The only things that feel different is that I'm not in as much knee pain

MCR24 · 07/02/2026 17:46

Well done losers!

I had my first person saying I don't want to be losing too much more now. And they're right in that I finally made it to a healthy BMI although it's only just. I'd like to get to a mid BMI keep at that for a while during maintenance and then starting a plan to get to as lower dose as possible. Also I planned to have a look at surgery but I don't think I'm being realistic about finances. It's be possible but it'd be all my savings gone.

I love that idea @EnterSandfan I’ve never even considered horse riding, and it’s something I’ve never done before. I’m going to look into it, thanks for the suggestion! Flowers

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 07/02/2026 18:06

@diggitydoo we've all found that we have to lose about 5 - 6 stone before it's noticeable to other people.

It's when you're a lot thinner that smallish losses show. For example, I started off at over 20st. Nobody said anything until I was 15st. TBF I was still very overweight at that point.

Getting to 12st was a revelation. Everyone noticed and quite a few told me I'd better stop (!)

Now I'm almost there. I'm 10st 9lb. Even if I lose 2lb now, somebody notices.

It's been 25 months. You've done very well for your first two - three months. Don't give up hope! It'll happen for you too.

TragicMuse · 07/02/2026 18:49

I’ve been to see friends I’ve not seen for months, everyone noticed that I was 6 stone lighter! But it wasn’t a thing, y’know? It was noticed and we moved on. I liked that. I felt normal.

I’m thinking about a week of not calorie counting. Not going mad, just not weighing and recording everything.

I know some of you don’t weigh and record every morsel, how do you stay in control?

PearlTeapot · 07/02/2026 18:53

What surgery would you like @MCR24 ? I think you have to think about the impact on your quality of life.

TheZingyFish · 07/02/2026 19:06

Strange one. I’ve only told one colleague that I’m on MJ, but now I’ve lost over 6 stone others have commented on how well I look, both from losing weight and also how good my skin and hair look. I’ve said I’ve just been drinking lots of water, so have cut out fizzy drinks and have upped my protein to feel fuller so less snacking, both of which are true, and have overhauled my skin care regime, which again is true. I have framed it as the fight against the menopause.

However I can’t help but feel a bit guilty.

One colleague who I would classify as a work friend is really pleased for me, she also struggles with her weight and keeps saying how well I look. She says it just goes to show that small consistent changes do pay off and says I’m going to inspire her and that she has told her husband who is also inspired to make small changes. Part of me is pleased that she thinks I look so well, but I kind of wish I’d been upfront with her, but know if I had then the whole office would know also. I think we only saw each other on teams calls for about 4 months and so when she did see me it was when I started dropping dress sizes so it wasn’t as gradual as with others who saw me more.

Anyone else found this?

SilenceInside · 07/02/2026 19:06

@TragicMuse I don’t calorie count or track anything, usually. I know that if I don’t snack and if I eat smaller portions then I’m usually in a calorie deficit. I eat off a small plate, I don’t really eat much refined carbs at all and minimal carbs in general. I’ll eat whatever green veg or salad (not in oils or sauces) as I want. If that isn’t working then I might do a couple of days of OMAD.

if you’ve been weighing and measuring then you’ll have an idea of what your current portion size is, so stick to roughly that.

MCR24 · 07/02/2026 19:09

@PearlTeapot I'd like a tummy tuck, boob lift/reduction and my arms sorting. I'm hoping my arms could get a bit better naturally with time.

In the meantime time I'll buy some decent sucky in clothes and wear long sleeves!
