Also ,I am incredibly, incredibly tired ..all I want to do is spend my day in bed ,I'm counting the hours till I go go back to bed ..I'm not looking forward to anything or wanting to do anything..I just want to sleep.
This can't be normal...could it be the mounjaro..I have no idea

Have you had your iron checked?

Springflowers2 · 04/02/2026 12:29

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 04/02/2026 12:28

Have you had your iron checked?

No ..
Can you just ask the doctor
I had blood tests about two years a go and it said very low vitamin d

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 04/02/2026 12:41

@Springflowers2 yes you can. I would probably request an appointment, say that you are suddenly feeling very tired etc. you might want to mention your weight loss and most likely the first step will be a blood test. I had anemia a couple of years ago (not weight loss related) and only symptom was tiredness. They might also check thyroid.

vitamin D deficiency also causes tiredness and low mood. That’s why I always take vitamin d tablets during the winter months when it’s so dark and not much daylight.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 04/02/2026 12:52

Well, I've now lost nine and a half stone.

I weigh 10st 9lb today.

Nearly, nearly there.

And DS2 lost the use of his legs again in the night, so he's back in hospital 100 miles away.
😪

SilenceInside · 04/02/2026 13:04

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne oh my goodness. I hope that the hospital will do all the necessary investigations to try to pinpoint what's going on. It must be a very worrying time for you, your DS and all your family.

I'd definitely see the doctor - extreme fatigue plus no weight loss with a calorie deficit raises flags for under active thyroid for me, but low iron is also a possibility.

Springflowers2 · 04/02/2026 11:49

So I have not lost any weight since the end of December now
This is getting me down now
I'm paying a lot of money to just keep my weight the same .
I'm also past the point ..weight wise ...at which I would never of gone on the injections..
I'm only wanting to loose another 3/4 stone ..which when you have lost 10 already does not seem that much ..
I'm thinking if I don't loose weight in February,I may think about coming of the jabs .
I can't work out if I'm eating more (possible)or weight loss has come to an end for me .
I remember past attempts where to get lower than I am currently I had to drop my calories very low ..which I don't particularly want to do .
I've been on chat gtp asking for advice and it says I should be loosing weight on what I'm eating..but I'm really not .
I don't know at this point what's going on

Hi Spring, sorry to hear that you're having a tough time. As with all of us, having so much weight to lose means we rely on the drugs for such a long time that every month needs to count to justify the cost. Have you written down here what you eat in general everyday and how much swimming you do? Some of us might have some ideas, that chatgpt may not have thought of.

Some things which come to mind, which I'm sure you have already thought of - increase your protein, intermittent fasting, have a takeaway etc - all the things to 'shake' your system up. Possibly try some weights to boost the metabolism.

Also don't forget the measurement changes which the scales may not reflect.

But I second what SnowWhite said that it's best to have a appt to check things are working well.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 04/02/2026 14:24

I'm also a bit despondent about my weight loss today. The scales say I've gained but I really don't think that's right. My home scales were giving me a different reading every time I stood on them, going between a 5 kg loss and a 3 kg gain. So completely unreliable.

So I went to the health centre and used theirs. 123.4 kg which is 0.9 kg gain. But is assuming last week's was correct, on the dodgy scales.

I don't think it's possibly to be my weight and reduce calorie intake by 1000+ for 7 days and not lose weight. So it has to be the scales. Or Im completely deluded.

I will think about it .
I have the dentist this afternoon.
So maybe tomorrow I could do and consult

Springflowers2 · 04/02/2026 14:24

I'd say it's your scales, and that you can't really compare between two different scales. Go back to the health centre next week and get an accurate reading to compare to.

SilenceInside · 04/02/2026 15:44

@MrTiddlesTheCat are your home scales electronic or analogue? If electronic maybe they need new batteries. Mine always goes a bit peculiar just before it complains of a low battery. An 8kg difference is a huge variation and would mean that I wouldn’t trust those scales at all.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 04/02/2026 16:15

I managed to find a photo of me taken pre-MJ

This was me about three years ago. I hadn't even reached my biggest weight at that point. I put on another two stone after this picture.

And me today.

I remember that those white trousers were a size 20.

I increased to a size 24 before I started the MJ.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne wow what a massive change! You must feel so different. So sorry about DS. Sending you all love and healing vibes.

@MrTiddlesTheCat get new scales! I got Eufy smart scales and I've just checked and they're £14.99 today, half price. Link in the following post.

eibbed999 · 04/02/2026 17:01

I'm sorry you're struggling @Springflowers2 - that is disheartening, especially if you're dealing with fatigue on top of everything else. Cutting your calories too low will be counter productive in the end probably - you'll be hungry, more tired, and maybe eventually regain anyway. Is there a way you can eat something different? I remember you mentioning in the past that isn't always easy for you, and am I right in thinking you're vegan? I'd suggest a couple of days of paleo if not - but as others have said, maybe something to just shake it up a bit? Even - horror of horrors - a couple of days of eating more? I know it's scary, but sometimes it seems to me that a gain sometimes does you good - gets your loss going again. But also, do remind yourself of how well you've done to have lost so much already!

Oh no @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne - hope he recovers, there's obviously something going on - could it be neurological? I'm so sorry, it must be so stressful, especially with the distance/lack of car/twat husband scenario.

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne amazing before and after. You single handedly prove what nonsense BMI is!

Very sorry to hear about your son too, such a worry. I hope you get some answers soon.
