I hope it’s okay to start a new thread as we are getting dangerously close to the end of thread 1

My current stats are

MJ 2.5mg just taken dose three
planning on staying on 2.5mg for my next pen
SW: 13 stone 9.4lbs
Week 1: lost 11 lbs
Week 2: lost 3 lbs
Total weightloss: 1 stone (a small jack russel terrier)
GW: 9 stone 7

We have some newbies joining mid month so let’s cheer them on - we’ve got this ladies!

Stomach for me too. Easy to reach and plenty of it. Also seems devoid of feeling.

I discovered yesterday that I won a month’s free gym membership on the school raffle, so maybe it’s a sign! Currently I’m easing myself in with some short chair workouts and dumbbell reps, following videos on YouTube. Think I’m going to stick to the ones for seniors though, after hurting my shoulder. Plus the instructors tend to be less….intimidating! I work a desk job with periods of down time so trying use those times to move rather than surf the internet. Walking the dog for 60-90 mins daily too, but that’s not a new thing.

Oh, and I found out today that being on WLI does not prevent you from being a blood donor, which I’m really pleased about. It was one of the things that put me off starting the jabs, as I assumed I would not be able to donate. I have an RO subtype which is rare and I know demand is high, so I’m pleased they can still take donations from me.

I’ve been totally exhausted the last couple of days (did 3rd jab on Thursday), I guess it could be a combination of busy work/less food/heavy workout yesterday morning/PMT, but I feel lousy. And I’m blaming the MJ😢. Hoping it improves quickly.

was feeling ok after a good second week but this week has been bad. Wondering if I made a mistake ordering 5mg for next month

This is me too! I’m so sorry others are going through it as well. I’ve managed a banana and a slice of toast today. So healthy eating is kind of out the window until I feel better.

I am determined to stick with it, hearing from many of you that it eased off after the first week or two. I am worried about having to cope when back at work though - I’m a teacher so do not have easy access to a toilet for long chunks of the day Blush

I think I and others may be outliers in terms of side effects? I was ok on week two and so just didn’t post about them - the ones suffering will be the loudest!

emailed boots to see if I can change back to 2.5 for the next pen. I think my weight loss results this month will be large but I don’t believe most of it will be fat loss…

@Newstartplease24 I'm taking Wegovy but apart from some strong nausea for a couple of days after the first dose, I've felt fine - I've actually felt really good! I'm a few days into my third dose now.

I haven’t managed to persuade my arse to get in gear to do any exercise though 😬

Completely overhauled my diet - cut all sweet stuff, fizzy drinks, crisps, UPFs, and only eating clean foods. My portion sizes are definitely smaller as I'm using side plates now instead of a normal plate. I did feel like the first week could be explained by the fact that I'd had a pizza the day before I injected, but there wasn't any obvious reason for it in the second week. I am a coeliac though so not sure if that played a part in the beginning, as I clearly have gastrointestinal issues.

Due to jab again tomorrow evening and it cant come soon enough. I ate more today than I have since I started 3 weeks ago. I was hungry for breakfast, which never happens, even pre-wegovy, so I had some overnight oats with berries and added protein powder. Had 2 fried eggs and ham for lunch, and had hake and veg for dinner. I was feeling lighter before today but id say the scales wont show much of a loss tomorrow now.

I started to eat with a cake fork or tea spoon so my kids portion takes time to eat.

I have gone off anything remotely fatty or rich. I only eat small amounts of it. Like half a sausage today.

What are people doing about reordering? Sticking with the same supplier or shopping around?

I was going to stick, as shopping around seems quite a faff, but I don’t have anyone to give my £40 off voucher to and without that it’s pricey compared to some of the introductory offers. I do have the money set aside, but I’d like it to go as far as possible.

If you go to a new pharmacy as a new customer, does it matter that you are already part way through treatment?

first week of side effects - definitely made worse by clinging on to caffeine

second week when hardly any side effects - no caffeine, lots of protein and clean eating

third week - had a roast potato with a bit of chicken and a handful of peas on Sunday and that seemed to kick off this week’s side effects which are still going.

i seem to react to it quite strongly- have had no appetite other than on days five and six

I had my 3rd injection on Saturday night and have found my suppression isn’t as strong this week. I’m definitely hungrier today than I have been the past two weeks - usually it’s Thursday/Friday I start to notice hunger creeping in more.

I’m off work this week so it’s going to be harder to resist the urge to snack in between meals but my willpower is currently keeping me in check.

I also haven’t started to exercise yet... Part of me doesn’t want to go ‘too hard’ with everything and find it too much and give up.
Though I have looked at gyms, we get 10% off through work, so this is something I am considering.

My 2nd pen also arrived today after only ordering it Sunday night and sending pictures/videos yesterday afternoon.

Ah yes - small bowl and small spoon here …. Or if I use a fork I only eat with the tip! I had lentil and spinach Dahl for dinner while my family had ham, egg and chips - and I took almost as long as them to eat

I am definitely enjoying my food more as I am appreciating every mouthful

The other day I made a breakfast of avocado and egg and it was so disgusting texture wise I wish I hadn’t eaten it - as I felt like I had totally wasted a whole meal!!!

I keep telling myself I will exercise when I get to 12 stone - it will only be going out on walks but I won’t feel so self conscious wobbling around the village - this is a ridiculous reason as I live in the arse end of nowhere and last time I did a five mile walk I met two people and no cars!

I’ve only eaten healthy foods and small portions but I’m still drinking black coffee and have had no side effects with that.

I don’t drive, so walk everywhere. I do daily YT videos too; a variety of types and I have weights at home. I’ve done these for years though. I’ve just bought a walking pad/ treadmill too so I can do extra walking while watching TV in the evenings.

Yeah I’ve made pretty big diet changes but eating similar to what I would when I’m normally dieting if that makes sense? I’ve completely stopped fizzy drinks which I used to drink daily and I’ve swapped these with water and herbal teas. I’m still drinking 3 large cups of a tea a day, I think giving up caffeine completely is too much for me at the moment. I’m back at the gym too. I think I’ll see how I go when I weigh on Friday morning and if I’ve lost weight again I’ll probably consider another month on 2.5.

It was my first full day today after doing first wg jab last night. I have felt fine, a slight headache all day but nothing major. I’ve been hungry today, but found I didn’t fancy much and usually I would be reaching for biscuits and sugary stuff and that just didn’t happen, I didn’t want them. I ate 3 decent meals and had some fruit for snacking on. Hoping I have a bit more suppression as I have felt hungry today although was easily ignored. I don’t have caffeine anyway so don’t need to worry about that.

@TwistedOrange im on wegovy too. 3rd jab tomorrow. I definitely find that I feel full when I drink water with my meals, it really helps me. Im drinking loads of water anyway, but particularly when im finished eating its really helpful

Shot day this evening! Definitely felt hungry yesterday. But I’m starting to see some effects - some of the inflammation in my fingers has come down and I’ve been able to wear my engagement ring again!

SW 1/1/26 - 93.3kg
MJ1 7/1/26 - 90.3 kg -3kg
MJ2 14/1/26 - 87.5kg -2.8kg
MJ3 21/1/26 - 86.5kg -1kg

GW - 68kg
Total loss: -6.8kg

1kg a week would be amazing but I think I’m still losing mostly water and it will slow down loads. But slow and steady is still good. Some big challenges coming up the next fortnight - a nice meal out, and a trip away to the USA. I won’t have scales to weigh daily so I’m hoping the MJ can help me keep track. I don’t want to lose this progress.

Nothing wrong with caffeine but those that notice a reaction or side effects after drinking it while on mj should stop
