That’s good to know. I think I will take breakfast to work with the view of not eating it. I could eat it mid morning if I need to.

One of my main goals is to listen to my body. It could just mean that I might eat breakfast sometimes if dinner was very light. Tbh im still figuring out foods....mash isn't a good idea and I would not be so extremely stuffed without it. It seems very hard to digest on this medication.

I think after W I will definitely continue IF as its great to regulate appetite. I never had any appetite until I started eating for the day.

Tonight I am uncomfortably full after a home cooked roast chicken dinner. I ate about 2/3 of my usual Sunday portion, no pudding, no wine (dry Jan) and I am absolutely stuffed. It just shows how out of whack my portion sizes have been for what I need.
I still have concerns over my digestive system this week. I have had to get to the bathroom sharpish once or twice and my job makes that very difficult!

Does anyone here do intermittent fasting? I’m debating whether I should eat small amounts for breakfast this week or just fast til lunch as I do when I’m on the wagon.

Yes, I don’t eat till 11.30-12 at the earliest - it’s been 1.30 some days this week. I’ve done this pre MJ for a long time though, apart from the occasional day when I just had to eat. No such thing now though with MJ - I’ve not felt hunger at all!

Checking in ...

YouBelongWithMe · 18/01/2026 21:38

I have not experienced feeling fuller after a meal, although I guess I'm very new to it all. I have found it easier to not snack or graze, but I cannot tell if that's suppression or willpower (I WILL make this worth the money!!). My dinner was the same size as ever tonight (although v healthy - homemade chicken bhuna).

Today I've had:

  • A coffee
  • Three tablespoons of leftover beef pilaf
  • A small bowl of homemade lentil and veg soup
  • A banana protein shake
  • Homemade chicken bhuna and rice

Probably totalling about 1600 calories.

I am 5ft9, so this is still a decent calorie deficit. I also did an hour of brisk walking with the dog.

I have always intermittent fasted accidentally as ive never been one for breakfast. Id usually be ravenous by the time I eat at 2pm, but now I do it because its time to eat, and am choosing much healthier as a result

ChilledProsecco · 18/01/2026 21:59

I’ve hardly eaten today & am feeling really full. It wasn’t deliberate, just plans changed & hadn’t planned around that. I’m now day 4 after 1st injection & wonder if it’s peaking now?

Breakfast was a tiny portion of porridge with banana, which I had late morning. Then didn’t have lunch. Dinner was a mini quiche from Lidl with only about 250 kcals with veggies, then a banana & yoghurt.

I might delay my injection a day or two if my appetite doesn’t come back, so that I can stretch out the overall treatment course & bring costs down a bit.

FrothyCothy · 18/01/2026 22:27

One weird think I’ve noticed - recently if I’ve really overdone it on sweet stuff I get mouth ulcers. I’ve consumed a small amount this week relative to my usual intake and have an ulcer. Maybe coincidence but wonder if my body’s threshold for sweet stuff is a lot lower than usual.

intentionals · 18/01/2026 22:44

PSA

if you don’t feel like eating DO NOT FORCE IT.

I have had an undignified couple of hours in the bathroom contemplating how my goal of once again feeling elegant and in control seems to mainly entail analysing my digestive system and my bowel contents.

HollywoodTease · 18/01/2026 23:33

Checking in. I'm away at the moment but my 1st dose of MJ is in my fridge. Gulp.

BooptotheFloof · 19/01/2026 00:33

I don’t know whether to count this as a non scale victory - but I’ve just laid down to go to sleep and I couldn’t quite put my finger on what felt different - but I’ve realised I simply feel more comfortable - my stomach isn’t propping up the duvet!

Second jab completed on Friday (2.5mg Mounjaro)
SW - 106.4kg
CW - 104.4kg
1st TW: 96.4kg

No side effects during these first two weeks of jabbing, although I haven't feel like hunger has been surprised, however I haven't snacked at all outside of meals and no sweet stuff apart from an ice cream bar over the weekend just gone (both of which are very unlike me). I've felt hungry but not the sort of hunger where I go and demolish something.. more like yes I'm hungry but can happily wait til the next meal.

Have felt a bit 'off; some mornings, but nothing major otherwise

blackandwhitefluffycat · 19/01/2026 06:45

I haven’t had any sweet stuff at all since I started on Jan 1st - I haven’t fancied it at all. No junk food or crisps or bread either - just healthy food. I’ve been seeing it all as I have DC, but have not been tempted! I don’t drink fizzy drinks or alcohol anyway, just hot lemon water, black coffee, green tea and rooibos, but I’ve been adding in extra cups of plain cold water too.

I’ve been reading the ‘overweight’ thread that’s going and I wish I’d was overweight from eating that amount! I’ve been reassured reading that there are other people out there who put weight on once they hit 1400 calories in peri though, and who have to go to 800cals to kickstart weight loss! My in-laws eat very little (ie a starter for a main if out) and have done for many years - now I get why!

I’d count that as a victory, Boop!

namnamnam22 · 18/01/2026 18:04

I read right side is closer to stomach so people find this works better. I done right side last week and left this week and have had nowhere near the same suppression.. this may just be in my head/a load of nonsense but thought I’d ask anyway

Interesting. Week one- just by chance I did right side near stomach and had amazing instant suppression. 2nd jab on Saturday on left side (as right aide still has bruise and can’t feel the difference between just before it (when hunger was starting to come back and cravings) and now.

could be just week 1 newness versus week 2 but think I’ll stick to right side next time..

BG2015 · 19/01/2026 07:11

Thanks for the new thread.
My current stats are
SW: 12 stone 9.9lb
CW: 12 stone 3.1lb
Total weight : 6.8lb

MJstarterbefore40 · 19/01/2026 07:21

Oh yey found the new thread so checking back in. Weighed again today and that's another 3lbs off in week 2 so 9lbs loss all together. Due my third jab today. If I could lose a stone in this first month I'd be so happy.

DH has booked us 3 nights away somewhere hot in April and I would love to buy a couple of new outfits and just feel really nice in them.

I don't think posted my stats

SW: 16st 5lbs
TW: 12st 5lbs

CW: 15st 10lbs

Loss: 9lbs

blackandwhitefluffycat · 19/01/2026 07:22

Another 2lbs down today - I’m so relieved it’s coming off again after the 0lb loss last week! I’m pretty sure it must have been due to my cycle.

SW: 14.5
CW: 13.6

So close to a stone off!

cravingmilkshake · 19/01/2026 07:37

Morning ladies ,

I didn’t do my stats , but I did start tracking from New Year’s Day. My starting weight was taken on New Year’s years day in the evening after dinner and drinks etc , so I do think this was maybe 2-3kg out. I then ordered and got cracking and started MJ on the 2nd Jan .

I’ve attached a pic of my readings so far (I’m weighing every day ) and each month I’ll do a total loss I think.

headed to a spin class tonight with my neighbour ! I don’t really have a goal weight , just want to feel more comfortable and confident . I would like to weigh lighter than my husband who is around 75kg .

hope you all have a great day xx.

My dh knows I'm on it , I asked that he was sat next to me when I did my 1st jab as I was scared .
For those that have kept it quiet from your partner's , how are you storing it

FrothyCothy · 19/01/2026 08:48

After the weekend of eating out I’m up half a kilo but I’ll take that:

SW 111
CW 108.4

Just did my second order via Numan as was rock bottom price. DH mentioned some people had reported issues with delivery with them but I’ve still got two jabs left in my current pen (today and next Monday) so hopefully it won’t take as long as that. Feel like I’m going to end up with 50 extra apps on my phone with all the pharmacy swapping!

CatNoBag · 19/01/2026 08:52

Morning all!

Just done my second jab. I'm 4.5lb down from last week, which is great news but of course I'm finding reasons to be disappointed (my weight shot up 3-4lbs the week before I started, I tend to lose a lot in the first week of any diet, it was actually lower when I had a sneak peak on Saturday etc!). But it's a start and I think I am seeing a difference in how I think about eating. I did eat more yesterday than I have every other day, with a larger evening meal than I have been having, and woke up feeling still full this morning. Food is still taking up a lot of headspace, but part of that is trying to work out what to eat so that I'm getting plenty of protein and fibre without going over my calorie limit. My husband is loving my new diet, says he's never eaten this well/healthily😂

My stats for this week:
SW: 14.5.2
CW: 14.0.8
1st Milestone: 13.8.7 (My weight tracking app has broken it down into 10 Milestones)
TW: 10.07

MJstarterbefore40 · 19/01/2026 08:58

I've just ordered my next dose. Decided to stay on 2.5mg as I'm losing but haven't had any side effects and even though my hunger is suppressed I am still enjoying food. My fear was that this would completely take away enjoyment of food which I don't actually want. 2.5mg is suiting me right now.

CatNoBag · 19/01/2026 08:58

I've been hiding two pens in the fridge as I had one in hand. I've taken both out of their boxes and put them in separate ziplock bags and rolled the bag around them. I put the one I'm currently using hidden behind bottles of sauces on the top shelf of the door, but I've taken it out now and keeping it in a box of my stuff on a shelf where he'd never need to look. The other one is tucked under kitchen paper under the vegetables in the salad drawer! I've got all sorts of jars and bottles in the fridge that he never bothers with, so there's plenty of places to hide it.

I'm the same - I feel like food is a big part of my personality, I really enjoy cooking and feeding people and don't want to lose that. I just need to learn that I don't need to pimp every meal I eat, sometimes a plain yogurt or boiled egg is enough!

Octagoneaway · 19/01/2026 09:21

I went out for dinner with friends last night. Somewhere without any good options. I refused alcohol, and tried not to overeat. I still ate a bit more than I would have liked to, but the scales hadn’t gone up this morning, so I really hope it stays that way and that I haven’t ruined my week.

Lovingtheglitter · 19/01/2026 09:29

I had my second jab last night at 8pm and weighed this morning and found I had lost 6lbs. I’m really happy with that even though I usually lose a lot in the first week of a diet. So will be interesting to see what the scales say next week. I’ve had good and immediate suppression with no side effects so far for which I am so grateful!
