@Toolea Im not, no but I wonder if the exhaustion is because you’re not eating enough calories for your body’s needs? Could be worth trying to up it a little. If you’re not feeling hungry perhaps you could try squeezing in a few small but higher calorie items -eg a teaspoon of peanut butter here and there. Wonder also if you’re needing more carbs? I might be wrong but as you’re trying to focus on protein, and doing so in not many calories it could be that the carbs are being squeezed out. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but if your body is used to using carbs for energy it couod be that a few more would give you a boost? Good luck, I’m sorry you’re feeling so rubbish.

Thank you @Alltheyellowbirds thats good advice. I’m sure you’re right. I’ll definitely do as you say. Thank you for taking the time to reply and best of luck to you, too.

This is my weight loss chart. 9.9lb in a month as I lost a bit more this morning so altered my chart. I'm with Juniper who are very good. I do have a discount code if anyone wants it, just DM me.

Wow Tuesday was only my second jab
last night I popped a Coke Zero don’t usually and also felt a hunger craving
spoke to my psychologist and we worked out that going to the fridge and getting something out of it may have triggered a repetition memory for my mind and as such it was expecting food and when the food never came it sent a powerful “feed me” impulse

That's a good theory too!

Also pleased to hear it's not just me....

Blandpedant · 31/01/2026 09:00

HollywoodTease · 30/01/2026 17:17

Ooh weird thing.

Since I took this week's jab on Tuesday I've just been drinking water. Either tap water, volvic fruits or an occasional glass of flavoured fizzy in the evening.

Tonight it's Friday, and instead of my usual prosecco I've opened a can of Pepsi max.

Within a few sips I am suddenly really hungry! I've eaten well today (slice of seeded toast with philly protein cream cheese for breakfast, bowl of home-made goulash soup for lunch) and I've felt fine all day but right now I have that hollow-stomach feeling that I haven't had since I started my MJ.

Not sure if it's the pop or just coincidence, I might have to test the theory again in a few days!

This is so interesting! I’ve had a pretty bad Diet Coke habit since my 20s, but really haven’t wanted it at all since bing on MJ.

There’s a theory that when you eat something with sweeteners in, it sends a message to your stomach that is expecting sugar. Then when it doesn’t get sugar, it kicks off a craving for it. So sweeteners can actually end up making people gain rather than lose weight! The soft drink manufacturers also put loads of money into psychological associations with the products - the “click-fizz” sound of the can opening, feel of the fizz on your tongue etc- so you get strong psychological associations that make you crave more.

recruitretain · 31/01/2026 09:18

Yesterday I was out and about trying to eat healthy and stayed within 1250 calories

only issue was my carbs were 120 and today I weight in and gained 2 pounds

also my hunger pang late last night after a Coke Zero was real

it clear my body will store carbs every opportunity it gets now

glutenisthedevil · 31/01/2026 09:27

I'm actively trying to avoid things with sweeteners, too. I used to drink a can of Pepsi Max every day but haven't touched it since taking MJ. Weirdly I haven't actually wanted to. I also used to drink a lot of flavoured water but can see that they have sweeteners as well so I'm sticking to tap water.

Today was my 4th weigh-in and I lost another 2lbs taking me to a stone in a month, so I'm happy with that. I'll be extracting the golden dose for the first time later. Hoping I don't mess it up!

A small update from me.

After not losing any weight for almost a week I've lost 2lbs in 2 days. I think after the initial big losses this is what it's going to be like. I'm ok with that.

To all the people losing slowly please stick with it. We can do this!

Thanks for this! I lost 4lbs week 1, currently on day 6 of week 2 and lost absolutely nothing! I know my body is getting used to it etc and it’s very early days but it’s disheartening seeing everyone else’s big losses.

well done everyone. Keep going!

This has been exactly my experience. Roll on week 3!

glutenisthedevil · 31/01/2026 10:47

@notcomfortable Well done on the loss. That’s brilliant, especially while juggling such intense work days.

It’s completely understandable to reassess things when the cost and side effects start to outweigh the benefits. Listening to your body and choosing what’s best for you is never going to be the wrong call. Fingers crossed for the next month.

MayBeee · 31/01/2026 10:50

Slightly disappointed yesterday at my week 3 weigh in , a loss of 1 lb , but got on the scales this morning and Another 1lb down .

Alltheyellowbirds · 31/01/2026 10:59

@MayBeee That’s good to hear, maybe there’s hope for me tomorrow then!

MrTiddlesTheCat · 31/01/2026 11:13

I'm so thirsty and my mouth is very dry since taking my 4th dose. I already drink so much water. I'm drinking even more now but I can't quench the thirst.

Anyone else?

Yes, especially first thing in the morning. It feels as if I've slept with my mouth open all night!

Howmuchhowlong · 31/01/2026 11:24

Today is jab 4 for me, I weighed in and have lost 7lb in total. I also have my period this week so was considering anything off to be a bonus as I bloat horribly. My first goal was 2 stone off, so it's a quarter of the way there!

Alltheyellowbirds · 31/01/2026 11:57

@Howmuchhowlong A quarter of the way there already, that’s amazing! 👏

Peachypips78 · 31/01/2026 12:12

Feeling really fed up looking at everyone losing in their first week. Started Wed first jab and my hunger has been just as bad as ever. No noticeable change. No chance I’m going to lose anything this first week! I was holding on to this being the answer and now I am feeling like I’m going to be the one person it doesn’t work for.

Ralphiesaurus · 31/01/2026 12:18

From what I've read it takes time to build up in your body to a steady state, @Peachypips78 Not everyone gets mega-losses right away (I didn't!). I know it's hard to stay positive but I'm reminding myself that the first four weeks on 2.5mg are to get your body used to the medicine, and losses for us should come later, and hopefully steadily... I found the appetite suppression kicked in for me around jab #3 and I suddenly noticed I was automatically saying no to biscuits and things I would usually just eat without thinking.

3 days is nothing in the grand scheme of things, especially on a starting dose that is intended to only really prepare you for the full dose. Go back to some of the Jan 2025 starter threads and look at the distance people have travelled in a year. Assuming you can manage the cost and the side effects, I really think it is worth sticking with for a good while before deciding it’s not working for you.

I had a very modest loss my first week, and that was going from probably eating 3000 calories a day before Christmas to 1500 once I started the jab. I would have expected a big drop. Now towards the end of week 4 I’m down 9lbs. That’s what some people lost in week 1! But it’s more than I’d have lost trying to do this without the jab (I would have binged like mad about 2 weeks in and started the cycle all over again).

People do lose a lot of weight on the jabs, but if you read other threads you’ll see that’s over a period of months in most cases, not a couple of weeks. Hang in there, get through the first month and then see where you are.

Ive done 3 weeks on 2.5
And now 2 weeks on 5mg
My hunger is the exact same as before. Not everyone gets a suppression, I didnt get any suppression last year either.
Just keep using your will power, those relying on suppression or eating very little will have a more difficult time when it comes to stopping injections (just my opinion don't shoot me for it)

HollywoodTease · 31/01/2026 13:35

Aw peachy I was the same. I lost a meagre 0.5kg (about 1lb) in my first week.

I had no side effects but also very little suppression either, and a weekend away with the girls (prosecco and cocktails!) didn't help.

I'm now in week 2, last dose was Tuesday, and I've found I'm eating when I'm hungry and just not really thinking about food. Sneaky peak this morning shows I'm about 4lbs down since my last official weigh-in, with another 3 days to go to the next. I don't feel any different, my clothes still fit the same etc.

I've also seen a noticeable improvement in my blood pressure though, which is a relief as it went a bit critical over the December break.

WLI aren't a miracle cure, they are more of a helping hand. While losing a stone in a couple of weeks would be amazing it's not sustainable and not what this journey is about for me.

Slow and steady is fine.

Give it chance, you're still very early in the process!

blackandwhitefluffycat · 31/01/2026 14:39

My suppression isn’t as strong this week after my 5th 2.5 dose; I’m moving up to 5 next week but won’t go any higher.

I have ok willpower so I’m not concerned about that once I stop the jabs; I’ve never eaten a massive amount, and always exercised - hormones are the issue for me as I’ve only put weight on since peri/ HRT (with exactly the same diet as before). I’ll be weighing daily once I hit my target and come off the jabs, and will stick to as low as it takes to maintain - I have no issue doing that if I see results. Not weighing daily has been my mistake over the past year or so.

BG2015 · 31/01/2026 14:57

@blackandwhitefluffycatthats exactly my situation. I don't eat loads and loads (alcohol is my main downfall) but after having breast cancer in 2021 and being stuck on medication I just cannot shift the weight - or I do but it takes me months and months to just lose half a stone.

Im hoping once I lose this weight I can maintain myself and keep it off.

Me too @Peachypips78 ! No suppression at all yet. Could easily scoff a family size choc bar if I allowed myself. Relying on will power not to.
It’s early days though, try to stay positive 😃
I’ve just done a big food shop with lots of healthy food though so that’s progress for me as my diet up to now has been truly awful!

blackandwhitefluffycat · 31/01/2026 15:27

@BG2015 It’s so difficult isn’t it; sorry to hear what you went through. Let’s think positive: we can do this!

HollywoodTease · 31/01/2026 15:37

Another NSV. Weekly shop today is about £40 down on my "usual" as I've bought fresh ingredients to batch cook and freeze, and I haven't bought crisps, biscuits or wine!

If that stays the same my mounjaro's going to pretty much pay for itself! 😮
