@MayBeee It’s low on vegetables - a bit of cucumber and some salad leaves isn’t very much. Could you add some cooked veg like broccoli or sweet potato or mushrooms or something? The fibre will help your digestion, plus they’re good for you in a thousand other ways.

Whereas one day this week I weighed, went to the loo, weighed again and GAINED 100g 🤣

This just proved that scales are tricky bastards that cannot ever be trusted.

Do your family know you’re on the jabs? I’ve been wondering what I’ll do in those circumstances as I haven’t told anyone. I have told people I’m on a diet though so I suppose I’ll just try to refuse unhealthy foods on those grounds.

It was my mums birthday last night, we all called over for a Thai takeaway. I ordered a duck salad while everyone else scoffed spice bags and curries. No one even noticed, and it felt great. Was delicious too!

YellowStockings · 30/01/2026 16:27

@MayBeee I think I'd be hungry eating what you're eating! Can you add some beans or more veggies somewhere?

I eat plenty of mushrooms , spinach , carrots , cabbage , broccoli , asparagus.
The salad isn't just a tiny side salad .

That was just today , I usually eat vegetables .
Im not so keen on potatoes but eat things like Bulgar wheat and couscous .
I'm trying to steer clear of bread as I find it very bloating .

OK, well I only had that day to go on! 🤗

Yes - cold and jittery, exactly how I was feeling. It helped to keep myself very warm and regularly ate to keep the blood sugar up. Although I felt very jittery this morning, the brain fog and jitters have actually significantly worn off for the afternoon. I'm still a little giddy here and there but feel very calm suddenly. I am at the end of day 4, if that helps!

@GhostHQ that is good to know, thank you 🤗

Yes I agree , but thanks for your input .

HollywoodTease · 30/01/2026 17:17

Ooh weird thing.

Since I took this week's jab on Tuesday I've just been drinking water. Either tap water, volvic fruits or an occasional glass of flavoured fizzy in the evening.

Tonight it's Friday, and instead of my usual prosecco I've opened a can of Pepsi max.

Within a few sips I am suddenly really hungry! I've eaten well today (slice of seeded toast with philly protein cream cheese for breakfast, bowl of home-made goulash soup for lunch) and I've felt fine all day but right now I have that hollow-stomach feeling that I haven't had since I started my MJ.

Not sure if it's the pop or just coincidence, I might have to test the theory again in a few days!

I realise we can have constipation or diarrhoea on this site but I seem to be flip flopping between the two . Here is roughly what I'm eating a day . I don't eat meat and have tofu or maybe fish a few times a week , this is what I'm having today and welcome comments .
B. 1 Weetabix , just under half a banana , handful of blueberries , sprinkle of seeds .
L . 1 ryvita , cottage cheese on top , cucumber . Kiwi with skin on .
D. Salmon fillet & salad again seeds sprinkled in top with a teaspoon of nutritional yeast . Another Kiwi with skin on.
What are your thoughts ?

Are you drinking plenty of water? I find that helps me (I'm drinking more than I normally do this month - at least 2 litres a day), and I'm also still drinking coffee (strong & black) which usually triggers a movement midmorning!

I had two days of nothing moving earlier this week, but that's not so unusual for me. Just as I was starting to think it might eb the jabs and I should take something to help, things got back to normal on their own. I'm trying to focus on more protein and less carbs - maybe that would help? I've switched from porridge/granola/toast for breakfast to Greek yogurt, fruit and nuts/seeds, and for dinner I try to have minimal carbs, a protein (I'm not veggie, but don't eat meat too often, eating a lot of fish, tofu, beans & lentils) and lots of vegetables

Hi yes upped my water . I don't really drunk coffee but easily have 8-10 350ml mugs of peppermint tea and ginger tea a day .

cravingmilkshake · 30/01/2026 17:31

It’s the first time I’m having wine tonight after starting the jab on 2nd Jan . Did anyone have any difficulties if you had a meal out and a few glasses ? X

Ralphiesaurus · 30/01/2026 21:25

@HollywoodTease that's really interesting about the Pepsi Max. When I did SW successfully a few years ago, one thing that kept me going was avoiding sugar, which I found meant I had way less food cravings. Then one day I had a Muller Light yoghurt and was suddenly ravenous!! Am sure it's the sweeteners - I found them really triggering. I wonder if it's the same for you?

It might be I suppose. I'm going to stick to water for the next couple of weeks until I go up to 5, then I'll try the Pepsi again and see what happens!

bec81 · 31/01/2026 00:57

I went to a gig tonight and we went to the pub afterwards. I had 2 pints of guinness, my first time trying alcohol since i started. I enjoyed the 2 but feel more than a little tipsy after them. Would usually feel stone cold sober after 4 and more.

notcomfortable · 31/01/2026 06:33

Good morning all
Sorry I haven't been active, still training for my new job and 12 hour shifts are kicking my ass.
I have another loss this morning of one kg 🥳 so that's 4kg lost so far.
I do have a 5mg pen and I think once I go through that, I will be done. I think because I don't have as much to lose this time around, its just been a hard slog and I don't really want to pay 124 odd pounds just to feel exactly the same, when I think I could manage on my own. Plus my hair is still falling out so I think its the best choice I can make
I will stay active as much as possible until then 🫶

Toolea · 31/01/2026 06:34

I’m about to take my 5th dose of MJ tomorrow. I had planned to go up to 5mg and bought the pen but feeling so exhausted and dizzy that I think I’m going to have to count clicks and stay at 2.5 for now. I’ve not been able to exercise at all as so fatigued and also getting very little sleep. Life is also very stressful right now so that’s not helping. Really struggling to eat more than 1,000 cals a day but drinking loads of water and prioritising protein. First couple of weeks I felt fine but now it’s like the fatigue is getting worse. Do the doses become cumulative to a degree? I’ve lost 10 lbs so far so am pleased with that and my inflammatory conditions have really calmed down which is great (and half the reason I’m on MJ) but don’t know if I can stay on this much longer feeling like this. Any one else finding similar levels of exhaustion?

Alltheyellowbirds · 31/01/2026 07:22

@Toolea Im not, no but I wonder if the exhaustion is because you’re not eating enough calories for your body’s needs? Could be worth trying to up it a little. If you’re not feeling hungry perhaps you could try squeezing in a few small but higher calorie items -eg a teaspoon of peanut butter here and there. Wonder also if you’re needing more carbs? I might be wrong but as you’re trying to focus on protein, and doing so in not many calories it could be that the carbs are being squeezed out. Not that there’s anything wrong with that but if your body is used to using carbs for energy it couod be that a few more would give you a boost? Good luck, I’m sorry you’re feeling so rubbish.

Newstartplease24 · 31/01/2026 07:49

@cravingmilkshake I've had a couple of glasses of wine but havent fancied more than a glass in one sitting. Not like me!

morning all, sorry some of you are struggling.

I’ve got tough work times ahead and if I get too weak I won’t cope. I’m going to order one pen at a time and I’m very open to slowing or stopping. Ideally I’d like to manage a constant slow weight loss in a way that keeps me functional at a high level. Does anyone have a recommendation for a really good book about the science around this? I can’t listen to audio books, my brain doesnt work that way. I tried to listen to weightless but I fell asleep. I couldn’t tell if it covers what I want

Newstartplease24 · 31/01/2026 07:50

I mean obviously it would be great if you could get this advice from a Dr but ha ha ha ha ha ha

blackandwhitefluffycat · 31/01/2026 08:07

Sorry to those of you who are struggling.

It might be worth trying supplements to cover by missing nutrients and drinking plenty of water.

I find exercise also gives me lots more energy. I do a workout in the day and then go on my walking pad in the evening and I’m feeling great for it and it is helping to keep things moving well too.

I’ve been reading the Fast 800 keto book that I got last year, it’s interesting.

I’m eating 800-1000 calories and it feels like a lot because I’m eating a lot of protein and can eat a fair amount for the calories; I haven’t had bread since before 1st Jan and haven’t missed it - I used to eat a slice of seeded but my body just doesn’t like bread full stop.

Alltheyellowbirds · 31/01/2026 08:17

End of week three check in.

Week 1 loss - 10 pounds
Week 2 loss - 0
Week 3 loss - 0

I guess at least the initial loss feels more real now that it’s lasted two weeks, rather than some temporary water weight thing that might go back up if I have a big drink. But still disappointing to have no further loss.

To make myself feel better I asked Google AI how many pats of butter ten pounds is. After a bit of back and forth of me trying to explain that no, a US stick of butter is not the same thing, it turns out it’s 18 UK pats of butter (250g). 18!

AND, it says “Body fat is actually less dense than butter, meaning 10 lbs of fat takes up more physical space than 18 blocks of butter would.”

It finished by congratulating me for my incredible weight loss. I feel a bit better now ❤️

One more week to go till I move up to 5mg. This week’s focus is drinking more water and.getting more sleep.

Wow Tuesday was only my second jab
last night I popped a Coke Zero don’t usually and also felt a hunger craving
spoke to my psychologist and we worked out that going to the fridge and getting something out of it may have triggered a repetition memory for my mind and as such it was expecting food and when the food never came it sent a powerful “feed me” impulse

Wow thanks for sharing that. That's interesting and makes sense. Im all into the psychological side of things. I know it needs addressing too.
