My condolences @DGmaintaining. I’m glad you got to see her.

Jeans are worse than bras. I don’t like skinny jeans but I quite like a jegging so that’s weird. Wide leg look ridiculous on me and make my non-existent bum look even worse. Barrel, carrot, high waist, Mom - all disastrous. My best bet is a straight leg, occasionally a boyfriend if the cut is right. I haven’t been able to buy jeans for years due to the high waist nonsense. I like a lowish mid rise best. They don’t exist in anything I’d wear. I have one pair that I got from a charity shop that nearly fit ok and I’ve a few others that need a bit of alteration but generally I don’t wear jeans.

Off for a family pub crawl. My favourite thing. I love sitting and chatting with the lads. I’ll have a smile on my face all day

myladyjane · 28/02/2026 15:00

@DGmaintaining sorry for your loss

i did a lot of barrel trying jeans wise and came to the conclusion I am too short. I have the M&S carrots which work nicely as long as I wear a belt plus some wide legged ones. I did see a wide legged crop turn up in a pale blue in M&S yesterday which I liked the look of.

nice day today - did my c25k whilst dd was at athletics first thing this morning. Walk with dh and am now having a tea and a chill. Am going to do some yoga in a bit as I really need to stretch out my legs and protect my gammy knee. So a ‘runners yoga’ first then a lovely stretchy yin one with blocks and blankets and bands so I barely have to actually move but feel all rested and snuggly. The trees have really woken up today so whilst I can appreciate the coming of spring, my eyes, skin and sinuses cannot - bastard pollen.

i have also made a (for me) monumental decision - I am going to try going back to the gym starting tomorrow. It may not work out but I have enjoyed it in the past and I have 50% off the first month so am going to suck it and see

HeidiLite · 28/02/2026 15:16

great decision @myladyjane
What's your plan for tomorrow, classes or weights?

OP posts:
myladyjane · 28/02/2026 15:54

@HeidiLite not classes yet but maybe in time. I am going to focus on a fairly basic machine based routine for now - I know free weights are ‘better’ and I’ve had quite a lot of pt support in the past so my form is ok but I want to ease back in very slowly and avoid my typical too much too soon approach where I burn out/injury myself.

HeidiLite · 28/02/2026 16:03

I'm no machine snob, they have many benefits and allow you to do a lot more efficiently with less injury risk than free weights. Have fun!

We will go to gym tomorrow with the kids, family time.Of course they are just working on their form, not lifting heavy, but I really want to get them into it. Sad I didn't discover weights earlier - I was the least sporty child ever, but mostly because we were always doing stupid cross country running and athletics in PE, and I am just not built for that. So as I hated it so much, I never tried any other sports. I could have done really well in some others.

@DGmaintaining I am pleased you managed to see your grandma. 💐

@HeidiLite, I am really laid back ... however, the normalising of misogyny in golf is guaranteed to piss me off. I think it is still fairly common, it isn't that long ago that Muirfield was cancelled off the Open rota for not allowing women members. F G S. I left a club because of it, now somewhere much nicer - no nonsense tolerated, driven by a lady captain who has a full time professional career.

Yes, very good timing for your holiday, I am glued to the news today, absolutely shocking that the🍊clown has taken this action without a mandate. The Palm has been hit this afternoon.

@DGmaintaining golf suits me as it slows down and allows me to hibernate in the winter, I try to use the studio at least three times a month and leave my putting mat set up in my office 😂. When I go back to the course properly my putting gets me home with an ok score, so I always think my plan works.

I'm wearing Autograph High Waisted Straight Leg Jeans atm, seem to look ok. I probably need to think about buying new outdoor trousers this week, just need to check the loft first to see what I have got up there.

@myladyjane - good for you.

Thelittlestranger · 28/02/2026 22:02

I quite enjoy a Levi's 501 shape of jeans, but also wear skinnies. They are just so easy.

Today I have eaten lots while taking a day off exercise. I needed it, I feel like I've swapped full time work for exercise classes. I now need to up my weights. If it's not one thing, it's the other.

I'm definitely up for golf at some point. Quite like the idea of a natter combined with walking and some competition.

@Polkadotdash I recommend finding what you love doing now, and not waiting until the youngest has grown up. I started to panic that I didn't have anything of 'my' own and my OH can spend hours on his own. I need more entertainment. Hence picking up running, and jigsaws, yoga and walking etc. Lots to keep me busy and not clamouring to be entertained. It must be hard with him being away so much.

@DGmaintaining good news on the news. I also admire how you are being so strict on your reduction of the jabs.

@myladyjane good luck back at the gym tomorrow.

Tomorrow includes a run, some body balance, games with friends and hopefully getting my nails sorted.

Zempy · 01/03/2026 10:41

I felt really hungry yesterday and I panicked and injected a day early.

Weighed myself this morning and I am still 8:2 so I needn’t have worried.

I am just so absolutely TERRIFIED of regaining the weight or not being able to get the medication at some future time.

Swimwear audit led to quite a bit of Vinting. I still have two swimsuits and two tankinis which is more than enough.

I am aware I am getting dopamine hits from buying stuff I don’t need from Vinted, rather than from a family size bag of Minstrels. I’m going to make a list of all my winter clothes today (and maybe prune a bit) so that when August comes, I’m not buying MORE polo neck jumpers because I have forgotten that I already have seven, etc.

I suspect a lot of the dresses and trousers I bought last summer will need to be sold, but not necessarily replaced. I have way too much.

DGmaintaining · 01/03/2026 10:46

1.75mg jab done. I’m feeling good about the reduction and looking forward to seeing if I get a little more energy back. I’m also aware it’s been a hard couple of weeks, travelling, family, boob lump, work. So perhaps it’s natural to feel exhausted after all that.
Am off for a brunch with friends today. Looking forward to catching up with them all. They’re all bringing their daughters but I don’t have one! Would have asked one of the DS, but older one has a sore throat and younger one is at a sleepover.

I’m trying to rein in spending after booking Madeira. Am on my new lower net income after increasing my pension. I think we’ll be fine on it, but I do have to be more mindful now. No more buying stuff just because it’s 20% off.

Enjoy your Sunday everyone!

26inprogress · 01/03/2026 10:50

Hi everyone
condolences @DGmaintainingand pleased you got to see your grandma.
@Polkadotdashand @MJallthewayI hear you!! I’ve been in a similar place, DS much more independent, can’t drive because of my silly eyes, no job= no sense of purpose and a huge rollercoaster of emotions! I started reformer Pilates in January and it’s made such a difference, I also started c25k, free and great for those endorphins but you’ll remember I injured myself- zero to hero didn’t work too well!! Anyway I completely get how you feel, I’ve found getting out and having fresh air has helped. Well done on the volunteering , that sounds fab!
I had a rough week last week and have had 3 days of eating and drinking what I wanted, I have binged for sure but I needed it and I’m back on it tomorrow and know what I’ve put on will go. I’m definitely an emotional eater and I’m finding my feet with maintenance but thanks to MJ, I know it’s controlled and will stop!

The Middle East situation is so scary, my old boss is in Qatar, and we have a number of friends and my best friends son living in Dubai. The hotel on the Palm which was bombed yesterday was the one my friend and I stayed in when her son moved out there. I really hope there is a peaceful solution found soon but sadly I can’t see it..

we went to London yesterday to meet my brother, sil and niece, it was so lovely to do something different and it’s filled my cup up!

I love wide leg jeans and have some of the same whistles barrels that DG has, they’re nice, also some Uniqlo curves which I love. I’ve got slim legs and a big chest so skinnies just look wrong on me! I’d suggest going and trying lots on @BlueLimes.

@Focussingonme lovely to hear from you, sorry to hear you’ve had a difficult few months. I used Bolt last time, they were great, they have offers on for new customers.

Spunds like things are going really well off the jabs @PrepossessingPenelope, do you feel like you’re getting back to feeling yourself as well?

happy Sunday everyone.

HeidiLite · 01/03/2026 12:19

middle east situation is crazy. I have a friend with her family stuck in Doha, they were just transferring and now have no idea when they get back. And my sister is luckily out of the country, but she's a high ranking diplomat, so not exactly having a relaxing holiday. Also no idea at the moment if she and family can get back. Or should get back. I'm of course very relieved they are not there at this very moment.

@Zempy I know what you mean. Whenever I feel I've eaten too much and feel heavier, I really really don't want to step on the scales. But that's what got me to my record weight in the first place, ignoring the kilos piling on. Oddly here as well the weight has been surprisingly stable, even when I have occasionally relaxed. The drug clearly must be doing something with my metabolism, it can't be just appetite reduction.

I have another NSW to report - did a Bodycombat (high intensity) class yesterday and the room was very hot. So I pulled my top off and did the class just in sports bra (decent high coverage, but still). I have never felt confident enough to do that in my life. But wow, how comfortable is it to exercise when you don't have a sweaty shirt sticking to you!

I always thought I may need to be on a low dose for life, but if what he’s suggesting is true, and the set point could be changed through staying on a lower dose and maintaining for a year or so I’d be over the moon!

PrepossessingPenelope · 01/03/2026 18:32

I find the middle east situation terrifying tbh, I don't see how it can end quickly, or without boots on the ground. It is absolutely crazy how DT can take a decision that dramatically escalates regional instability and the risk of wider war without a mandate.

@26inprogress I seem to be doing ok off the jabs weight wise.

I've been out for a lunch today, I only ate just over half but that was half of a lot of food. I have never had a very sweet tooth, but I have really gone off desserts. I missed that article in the Times, off to have a read.

I bought myself a bottle of one of my favourite perfumes today 😍, felt like a treat was required.

myladyjane · 01/03/2026 20:53

I did it! Took sporty dd with me as she’s old enough to go now and we had a lovely hour. Made me remember why I liked it but my god it was easier to do without the weight of a small child on me…

MJalltheway · 02/03/2026 10:23

Well done @myladyjane , when's your next visit?
I've had such a bad back I'm giving everything apart from aquafit a break for another week 😭
My week's tracking on ChatGPT was interesting, I'm under for protein every day. Average daily calories around 1500, I need to increase a bit. Excellent for fibre and plant variety.

STILL no holiday booked chez MJ. 🤦‍♀️

myladyjane · 02/03/2026 17:54

I think maybe Thursday or Friday. I want to keep doing my c25k twice a week as well so roughly 2 gym, 2 ‘run’ and a yoga with 2 days of active rest which will be my office days as typically they are my highest step days off the week. DH read me the riot act today cos I said I wanted to go tomorrow and I just have to pace myself better if I don’t want my knee to flare. I hate it when he’s right so I refuse to give him the satisfaction.

i am impressed that your fibre is good - despite having a f&v heavy diet mine is always a bit patchy.

HeidiLite · 02/03/2026 19:17

I mean you could go tomorrow if you want to, just do upper body and give your knees a rest. I work out almost every day - didn't today though, feel a bit lightheaded and really tired. And have a class tomorrow morning.

OP posts:
MJalltheway · 02/03/2026 20:49

Surely if you have a lot of fruit and veg your fibre can't be that far off @myladyjane ? I had a look at my week, the best bits for fibre for me are lentils (usually have at least 3 times a week), seeds (I eat almost every day), beans (cannelinni, red kidney, black beans etc), potato and sweet potato. Eating a lot of veggie food helps there but leaves me lacking in protein!

Polkadotdash · 02/03/2026 22:46

@MJalltheway how do you track your food using ChatGPT?

I’ve been reflecting on using MJ after my spell on Wegovy. I definitely think that I look less puffy and inflamed on MJ, mostly on my hands and feet (not my moon face of course). And I’ve started losing interest in food again (not chocolate yet though). The downside is that I do think it is affecting my mood. I think last year when I started on WLI I couldn’t really pick apart any effect on my low mood from my existing issues plus I was quite unwell with my uterus. So it feels more noticeable this time.

HeidiLite · 03/03/2026 05:52

DH uses chatGPT for training, put in goals and updates every time what he has done at the gym - exercises, weights, reps etc. He thinks it's working really well and gives decent advice.

OP posts:
Polkadotdash · 03/03/2026 08:37

I’m probably being daft here, but how does ChatGPT remember your data and track patterns? I’ve only ever used it for asking one off questions.

Also I was obviously cock a hoop yesterday. Weighed this morning. Not a single ounce lost. So that completes 5 months of being the same weight. 🤯

Jins · 03/03/2026 08:53

I’ve not posted much about my weight recently as I’ve been hovering around 8st 10 since xmas but today I’m weighing 2lbs lighter than Saturday on both sets of scales. So I’m now 8st 8.2 and a bit surprised tbh. I’m just going to see where I end up at this point. BMI is 21.3 so there’s no worries there.

Now it’s March I need to start gathering all my info for an order with WePrescribe. I don’t strictly need it until April but I want to get it sorted before I need to order with Oushk again in case there’s a problem. I need to email Oushk about switching to their flex plan in the future but seeing as they don’t appear to read previous correspondence I may do it sooner rather than later. I think it’s probably going to be the best option to do one month on and one month off for the long term.

I’m so disappointed with how Oushk have changed as they’ve grown.

Thelittlestranger · 03/03/2026 12:12

@Polkadotdash how very frustrating. How do you feel about it STS?

Polkadotdash · 03/03/2026 12:20

Thelittlestranger · 03/03/2026 12:12

Frustrated, demotivated, skint 🙃
I spent my whole (2 hour) commute going through in my head what I eat and what I need to change. I don’t think I eat a huge amount but I do rely on chocolate to shore me up in the afternoon. And I keep thinking ‘if I give up a 200 cal chocolate bar per day, will that really make the difference?’ I think I eat an average of 1400 cals a day (so 1200 on breakfast, lunch, dinner and 200 on snack).
I’m really boring and I eat the same things on repeat. I don’t binge eat, I rarely drink, I don’t eat meat. God knows why I can’t lose any more weight.
