Hi @Coventree well done on your excellent 2lbs loss this week! 🎉
I've been a bit awol, I got stuck in a big black pit of depression for a while and wasn't feeling very chatty but I'm still on track, still losing weight, still constipated 💩😂Total loss is now 67lbs. Catching up on the thread is on my to-do list for this weekend so I will be back to catch up on everyone's progress, I hope you are all doing well!

Aww, lovely to hear from you. I kept wondering if you were okay.

Well done all on the maintaining/continuing the journey to healthy 🎉…and good luck @AbundanceofKatherineswith keeping that cheeky wine witch at bay 😁

Good morning. Bad weigh in today. 81.5 kilos so a gain of 200 grams. I know it’s not much, but it feels rotten to go backwards. I’ve got really painful sciatica this week, and the advice is to stay active but it hurts so much, and I haven’t been doing the dog walks. I have still been swimming, probably need to cut back on calories, but my plates are already small. Grr, one step forwards…

@Zebracat
Don't beat yourself up. 200g is tiny. It could be inflammation.
Hope your back gets better soon!

Good morning - happy Monday 🌄

Nice and sunny here for a change! Finally feels like spring is here - phew!

Weigh day for me
SW 87.65kg
CW 67.85kg
GW 65kg

So I lost a whopping 0.05kg this week! Definitely plateauing... And I think I'm ok with that.

I'm honestly pretty ok with the weight I am now. My BMI is 22.7 and I'm a size 10-12 (more 12 than 10 really!).

I felt really queasy after jabbing last week and I think I'm pretty over it TBH... I think I'm going to gradually begin titrating down. I'm going to space my jabs out to 10 days and go down to 2.5mg (I only took 2.75mg last week and still felt queasy FFS).

I haven't reached goal, but that's ok. I feel like I might be able to shave off a little bit more just by feeling a bit healthier and managing to do a little more running and strength training. I'm pretty set in my healthy eating routines now so feeling good about that. The MJ definitely helps for controlling the urge to snack and eating smaller portions, so I'll need to stay mindful of not letting those creep back in (easier said than done!).

Well done to everyone else keeping on keeping on. It's amazing that we're coming up to a year of being on this journey together 🤩

Merlin23 · 02/03/2026 08:28

@PeachSnail you might find you lose more as you eat slightly more. That has definitely happened to me.
I am eating 300 to 500 calories more than I was before February. I've lost 3 lbs in Feb on more calories.
I tried on a top in M&S yesterday and I've now decided enough I don't need to lose anymore. I really didn't recognise the body in the mirror. I used to work at that store and a few staff members didn’t recognise me at first.
I am now a size 10 which wasn't even in my wildest dreams when I started. I was hoping to be a 12-14
I need to adjust my brain and find out who this new person is. I get confused when I go shopping as I don't know what I like and what suits me anymore. I think I am going to book a personal styling session at John Lewis to help me. I won't be able to buy many items but I can hopefully get a sense of what suits me and then buy similar items from cheaper shops or Vinted.

Does anyone else feel like this?
Anyway off swimming this morning to tone this new body!
Have a great week everyone!

dozywelshbird · 02/03/2026 08:56

well done on all the losses 😁

weigh in today and it says I've gained 1lb, not amused at all, I still have a good 10-14lbs to go and its taking so long, I seem to be plateauing at this weight and its so frustrating.

I've lost so slowly as it is, 45lbs since April, and I can't stop comparing myself to others on the thread who have lost so quickly and are still loosing when they are not even bloody trying 😕its quite demotivating,

I've had a shit Feb with job loss and ailing in-laws and I am just tired... why is it still so slow and difficult for some and others it seems to fly off.
Anyway, moan over, will just carry on and see if I can break this plateau....

Have a great week everyone 😄

Sorry to hear about your rubbish Feb @dozywelshbird
I hope I haven't demoralised you. I have still been trying to lose and I don't know why I've still been losing. I did plateau through January, when I was eating under 1000 calories.
Hope March is better for you!

dozywelshbird · 02/03/2026 09:16

thanks @Merlin23 I hope so too....

I'm still here plodding along with you 🥰
I've lost 44lb and still at least a stone to go to get into healthy BMI. I've been dancing around the same weight for weeks now and it's frustrating. I definitely need more exercise, but I can't find my mojo.

dozywelshbird · 02/03/2026 20:19

@PumpKim I'm sorry you are slowly plodding on like me but also glad it's not just me 🤣

Loosing 44/45lb is not to be sniffed at I know, I was just having a grumpy day today. I've given my head a wobble and will carry on, we will break through this plateau and find our mojo eh 😁

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 02/03/2026 20:47

Just been catching up on some of the posts, too many to reply individually but everyone is doing amazing! Congrats to those of you hitting your goal weights and well done to everyone on all the fab losses!

Coventree · 04/03/2026 07:50

1lb off for me this week 🎉

Keep going @dozywelshbird and @PumpKim! There’s no benefit comparing yourself to others @dozywelshbird…we’re all so different…so how about comparing yourself to you? The old you? The one in April 2025 who found the courage to give this weird injection thing a go. How different is life now compared to then - is getting out of bed easier, does that 3st loss show in your face, are you eating healthier than she was? That’s where the true comparison is xx

Hope the sciatica has eased a bit @Zebracat?

Scousebloke · 04/03/2026 13:34

Rare post from me. Wise words from @Coventree. Well done to everyone who is still going. I am. Down from 18 stone 8 with a bmi of 34 to 14 stone 4 with a bmi of 26. Just hoping to maintain now which ive pretty much done for 4 weeks.

Zebracat · 04/03/2026 14:37

Sciatica is easing , thanks @Coventree.
I’ve had a cold as well, and I’ve seen the scales travelling the wrong way this week, and also felt demoralised. Im walking and gardening again, but not swimming yet.I think I eat more than most people on here, which is fine when I’m well as I am active, but I do need to eat less when I’m not well.
obviously my eating has changed on mounjaro. My portions are much smaller, no second helpings, and I tend not to snack, but I will eat puddings and chips if that is what’s on offer. We don’t usually eat such things, so it’s probably ok, but it means I know I am responsible for my fairly slow loss. It is hard to have lots of people reaching goal when I have 12 kilos to go before my bmi gets into the normal range. Although I am also really pleased for those close to goal

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 05/03/2026 00:32

Great losses! @Scousebloke @Coventree

@Coventree very wise words, we are all on very different journeys and should only be comparing ourselves to our heavier selves, not each other.

@Scousebloke are you staying on mounjaro for maintenance or do you plan to stop?

Scousebloke · 05/03/2026 11:23

@slightlysmallerPoisonIvy i get mine off the nhs for my type 2 diabetes (5mg), so as long as i can get it i will. I appreciate im lucky not having to pay but i would rather not have the diabetes obviously. Blood sugar levels have been in the normal range thanks to mounjaro but not classed as reversed unless they stay in that range without the meds.

Merlin23 · 05/03/2026 11:35

The cost is a concern. I have signed with Oushk my latest prescription 5mg was £156 that is cheaper than before the price rises.
I know so many people who would love to try the jabs but can't afford it. I think there should be a way to pay it over a number of years to help people get healthy. Or get it off the NHS with BMI above 30 until a BMI of 22.

Merlin23 · 06/03/2026 13:34

Weigh in day
SW 202lbs 14st 6lbs
CW 120lbs 8st 8lbs
Lost 82lbs 5st 12lbs
Trying to maintain at this weight. I like where I am clothes wise.
Today I'm wearing a cast off from my 21 year old skinny son. Hoodie he no longer wants. Never thought I would wear his clothes. 😆
Well Done everyone, as @Coventree said we are all on our own journey just doing it together and learning as we go.

wendywoopywoo222 · 06/03/2026 15:26

Well done everyone whether you are still losing or learning to live with maintaining. I’ve lost another two pounds this week and as I lost some weight before starting Montjaro last year I am 8 stone lighter than I was. 6 stone 6 on Montjaro).

I was out last weekend and don’t recognise myself in the photos, my brain is not keeping up with the changes.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 07/03/2026 10:26

Good morning all! Apologies for not being around for a while, I've been busy and stalled so very distracted. I've still been reading along and I'm so inspired by how well everyone is doing, both results and sheer positive attitude are giving me a huge boost, so thank you to all you lovely losers for sharing and supporting.

I was not expecting much this week as I was on holiday in Ireland for 5 days, for my mum's 80th. My sister and I went swimming a couple of times, but mostly we walked slowly around shops and cafes, eating delicious food. I'd had a gain before we left after a buffet meal to celebrate DD's birthday, and was at 10st 13. I was utterly shocked this morning to weigh myself and I'm 10 st 8lbs!

There were a lot of mirrors in my hotel room which I don't have at home, so I had a look at how much I've changed. I still don't look good naked, but my worst areas are now my stomach and ribs, and most of that is due to loose skin. I'm 3lbs away from a healthy BMI, and after this week I'm wondering if I should take up exercising more and increase my calories to move from weight loss to recomposition. It seems to have made a real difference to my stall to eat more and move more!

Does anyone have any exercise advice, or have you successfully become more active during your weight loss journey, and if so what worked for you?

Well done @Coffeeandallthebooks!
I have started swimming. I also lift small dumbells when I remember.
I walk lots but always have as I don't drive.
I have arthritis in my foot and my consultant said that swimming is my best choice. Exercise bike and cross trainer too, which I might start soon.

Zebracat · 07/03/2026 12:15

Oh dear. Another gain of 200grams. Now 81.7. I’m still not swimming as I’ve had a dreadful cold on top of the hip problem, but I have been walking and active, and I have kept my calories in range. I’m on 15 ml so I can’t up my dose. I will start swimming again, but I do feel demoralised. Got to remember that I’ve lost 25 kilos and that is significant.

Apparently strength training is the key to keeping the weight off, as muscles are "the engine of the metabolism". So it's worth trying to give that a go, if you can. I've got some dumbbells and a yoga mat at home and I try to do some training once or twice a week. I basically follow a workout I found on Instagram from edwinajennercoaching - it's a post dated 16 November

https://www.instagram.com/edwinajennercoaching/?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet

You should be able to find it if you scroll back...

The good thing about doing it from home is you can fit it around other stuff. I just put a podcast on and try not to think about it too much 😂

I hope that's helpful? Good luck with finding something that works for you 💪🏻♥️

Don't worry - that's a really small gain. I think a lot of us have been struggling to lose while the weather has been so miserable recently - it just makes you want to hibernate! Hopefully some spring sunshine will give us all a bit more of a boost🌷🌞❤️

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 08/03/2026 22:57

@Coffeeandallthebooks that's a great loss for a holiday week well done!

Zero loss for me again this week.
My weight loss has slowed significantly, only 2lbs per month for the last three months. I think maybe I've just about lost as much as I'm going to and I'm not going to reach my target and I'm ok with that. I would have liked to lose 10lbs more to reach Onederland / under 200 but I'm not going to stress about it if it doesn't happen.
I know that's still bigger than most of you even started at but I was never aiming for skinny, with lipodema that was never going to happen, but I'm smaller and healthier and stronger than I was and I plan to continue working on fitness and mobility with mj's help. The reduced pain and inflammation that mj gives me has had a massive impact, it turns out that I don't hate exercise after all, I just hated the pain and fatigue that exercise caused me. My hope is if I can maintain with mj for a year then maybe it'll be long enough for the new habits to stick and I won't immediately bounce straight back up when I stop the jabs
