Hi everyone. Great updates and well done @PumpKimon the healthy BMI milestone! Fabulous progress too @wendywoopywoo222!

who is your provider @Coventree? I’m on maintenance with Swift Dr and I’ve recently gone up from 2.5 to 5. I had put on a few pounds (5 from my lowest - after a holiday though 😜) and I said that my appetite and food noise had returned - they prescribed with no questions or delay. Tbh, I really wanted to take smaller doses from a 5 pen to save money.

I’m still bobbling along at 8st 7 - 10, still lifting weights, running and yoga-ing. Loving life!

@Merlin23- I hope your childminding venture is going well. I was a childminder for several years, so know the highs and lows - if you ever feel the need to bend an ear, I’m here for you!

Love to you all.

Stasis26 · 07/09/2026 21:36

@Coventreeafter all this time knowing what works for me and how it feels I wouldn’t stay with a company who refused to increase when I needed to.

Have you considered changing? MMP and New Health both have good prices right now. Better than we’ve seen since pre pandemic. I’ve just ordered another pen today with the latter - £131 for 5mg. Evidence was straightforward - uploaded ID, last prescription,
full length photo and scales photo and asked for the next step up from previous supplier prescription. I did ensure my weight was just over rather than just under 25 on scales but couldn’t fake the photo -other than unflattering as possible pose! - it clearly shows I’m not underweight which is what they need to confirm as of course they should. Only took about 5 minutes.
if was approved and dispatched before close of business.

Hi everyone so nice to hear from everyone and all the successes! You are all doing amazing - what a journey it has been!
I’ve not had any mj since end of June now I think, definitely weird to feel hungry and stomach rumbling and making noises. Definitely a conscious effort is needed now daily and some days that effort is too much, a lot of birthdays, anniversaries etc celebrations over last month so weighed myself this morning and I’m 11.4lbs which is 7lbs higher than my lowest weight and 4/5 pounds heavier than I would like so that was a nice wee reminder this morning to make more effort as can’t let it creep up more. 7lbs in 10 weeks is quite a bit isn’t it!!

I would consider going back on again but at min feel like it’s a challenge I need to see if I can manage. I have had a few episodes of weird blood sugar shakes which I used to get pre mj all the time but that’s likely due to eating too many sugars/ carbs and the crash afterwards. Anyone else get this? Really felt that mj stabilised this for me and now it’s back. I also had one very particular perimenopause symptom that calmed down when on mj but again it is back with vengeance.. maybe a low dose for these benefits would be best. Will see!
anyway just to drop in and congratulate everyone on all efforts to date if still losing, maintaining or just getting through the day!.

Merlin23 · 08/09/2026 08:07

I am still here!
I am still maintaining
I am now down to 2.5mg.
It is so lovely reading everyone's updates.

@AbundanceofKatherines I have started the Childminding. I am loving being back at home. Choosing my own day. I only have 1 child but I have others booked in for next year. More people visiting today. 🤞

Coffeeandallthebooks · 08/09/2026 08:25

Hello everyone!

It's lovely to hear from you all, and as ever I'm so encouraged by your stories. Those who have come off or reduced during maintenance are very inspiring against the little voice in my head that says I'm destined to be fat again, and the news articles that all say regain is inevitable.

I'm 46 today, on holiday in Spain and having an early breakfast with DH before the kids are up. I've had an indulgent time but I know I will put on weight and it will come off after my break. It doesn't scare me anymore. I don't think I've weighed this little on a birthday since I was 10, so I'm going to enjoy it!

Hawkmoth · 12/09/2026 08:56

Morning everyone.

Today I am a healthy weight (just). BMI now 24.9, from 44. 58kg, 9st lost. I've got some size 10 jeans waiting at the post office for me.

I'm a complete mess in other health aspects, but I've made this choice, done the work and taken responsibility for the things I can change.

I have really enjoyed shopping for winter this year. Coats especially. It's so hard to find a good warm coat when obese, but this year I'm going to be warm AND smart! 😁

This is really touching. You must be rightly proud of yourself.

Scousebloke · 12/09/2026 13:11

@Hawkmoth what an amazing effort. 9 stone lost and into the healthy bmi range. Just fantastic

dozywelshbird · 15/09/2026 12:08

Belated happy birthday @Coffeeandallthebooks hope you had a wonderful day.
@Hawkmoth wow, that is amazing... You must feel so much better being 9st lighter.
For all of you maintaining, good luck!!! 😁

I am still here, I am 63lbs lighter and BMI is 22.8 😁 I am hoping for a few more pounds off but it's very slow going at the moment, I am still on 7.5mg but I have definitely noticed a bit more food noise towards the end of the week and more alcohol than I was consuming at the start... But still happy with it all.

I look great in clothes now, but lots of crepey loose skin on belly and thighs, not so good 🙄 anyone have any amazing remedies for this...

wendywoopywoo222 · 15/09/2026 12:52

I don’t have any remedies for loose crepey skin. I have so much of it but 11 stone in total down and it’s not actually as bad as I thought it would be. My BMI is still 26.7 so would like to still lose a bit more. I ate out 5 times this week and stayed the same, that’s a wins, making wise food choices is becoming easier. Also ran my first 5k parkrun this weekend. I do think exercise will be the answer for me keeping this weight off.

Scousebloke · 16/09/2026 13:19

@wendywoopywoo222 . Feckin 'ell, 11 stone. Well done and congrats. Awesome effort.

Thanks. Not all of that was since we all started Montjaro as had lost over 2.5 stone before.

13 more pounds and I will be exactly half the weight I was. 😱. That’s my target.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 22/09/2026 18:00

Good luck with your target @wendywoopywoo222 I am bowled over by your weight loss, that is amazing!

Thank you everyone for my birthday wishes too, I had a lovely holiday. As predicted I have come back heavier and been struggling a bit to get back on track. I suspect I reduced my dose too fast, as I've been eating too much since I came back.
So I've gone back to 10mg weekly instead of 7.5 fortnightly, and plan to lose about 5 or 6 lbs and keep it that way for a while before I reduce again.

Merlin23 · 27/09/2026 09:37

Why I love my body scan scales.
I have put on 2lbs since Friday morning.
I am full of a cold scales show it is water retention. 🤧
It is so good knowing the number on the scales is not fat just water.

Nearly October how did that happen? I am 4 weeks into Childminding and so far so good!
I am still maintaining! I am now on 2.5mg i am staying on that until this pen finishes. Then I have 1 7.5mg pen left. I think I will stay on 2.5mg but go down to 1.25 for the last 4 weeks before stopping and trying on my own.

Good luck everyone as we carry on our lifelong journey!
It is cosy season! 🍂🍁🍂🍁

dozywelshbird · 29/09/2026 13:05

Glad to hear Childminding is going well @Merlin23

My last 2 weigh ins have started with a 9 😁 never ever thought I'd see that when I started this journey with a 14 at the start, so happy.... Now, I might not see it again but I am tempted to lose a few more pounds to see if I can stay in this stone bracket for a bit longer 🤞 BMI is 22.4 and total lost is 65lbs which is 32% of my body weight 😲

Anyway, thought I'd indulge my excitement and update the thread, hope everyone is having a good week 😁

Wonderful to hear childminding is going well @Merlin23 and those scales sound great, very reassuring to know when something is water weight.
@dozywelshbird what a lovely feeling to know you are firmly in the 9's! You've done so well 😁

StartingApril2025 · 29/09/2026 14:37

Hi everyone just a quick check in, well done @dozywelshbird @Merlin23 and @Coffeeandallthebooks , great updates!
i have unfortunately joined the group of finish mounjaro and regain weight again quickly, I am now a stone heavier than I was at my lightest which I am horrified with, summer, birthday, anniversary weddings etc all took the toil and the results are I feel very flabby and unhappy as my clothes are too tight. I have reached out to my provider about starting again, feel some shame in this but equally feel that there’s definitely some biology against me here . I don’t want to creep further away so feel time to go back on 2.5mg and hope that it helps me lose this weight and regain a sense of control. A lesson to me being so confident before coming off- don’t be! Anyone else who has come off in the same situation?

dozywelshbird · 30/09/2026 18:30

Oh that's rubbish to hear @StartingApril2025 but hopefully back on 2.5mg dose will give you back a sense of control. I haven't contemplated coming off yet, I don't want to go back to having food noise etc or gaining weight back, I'd love to be able to stay on it forever. Good luck getting back into your clothes comfortably 😁
