A 1lb loss this week but takes me below 10 stone to 9st 13 definitely!

Also, DH got a tax rebate. He had secretly booked a few days off work for our anniversary this week, but now he has booked Rhodes for five days!

I'm so excited but I have decision paralysis about what to buy/pack. Had decided on outfits to buy, but shopping is much harder than I thought and my legs are shockingly short so the wide legged trousers I planned may have to swap with a skirt so I don't trip.

It's an all inclusive but we've got a couple of trips planned so I hope it will be easier to be sensible. Last time we were on an AI holiday our teens didn't want to leave the hotel complex so we ate lots and I gained 7 lbs. Hoping to do better this time, the Acropolis at Lindos is an uphill walk so should get steps in!

wendywoopywoo222 · 17/06/2026 17:45

Lovely to have holidays coming up. I’ve been to Kos and a short cruise in the last 6 weeks and am a pound lighter than when I went. I swapped my healthy calories for sweet sugary ones and exercised a lot.

I am finding it hard to get off the sugar again as my body is craving it so not sure I would take that approach again.

StartingApril2025 · 17/06/2026 20:25

@wendywoopywoo222 I hear you!! The sugar cravings are rife for me now after an indulgent holiday and more sugar than I probably had all year. I am down to 1.25mg weekly now and feels like zero, also hunger growling tummy noises for first time in a year?! Weird. One day last week I was almost panicked at the hunger I felt!!

wendywoopywoo222 · 17/06/2026 20:33

I have been injecting 2.5 every two weeks for the last few months so have changed back to weekly to try and get a grip of it. Perhaps you could higher dose for a couple of weeks. 🤔. I’m hoping this works for me.

Coventree · 24/06/2026 07:52

Hope everyone is navigating holidays and sugar cravings successfully!

I’m in week 2 of no MJ now, still maintaining around 9st 8ish…did go up to 9st 10lbs after a full-on weekend of food and drink, but have dropped back down this week. Happily getting on with life and it feels good!

Merlin23 · 24/06/2026 08:01

Well done everyone.
I am jabbing every 10 days. Lowering the dose every week.
I am hoping to be able to overpower cravings.
I don't need it I have lived without for long enough.
I am eating smaller than before amounts if chocolate. I have had the occasional ice cream treat in the heat.
But my biggest challenge is believing I am not overweight anymore. I still see myself as overweight. It's only when I look in the mirror I see it.

I think we all need to be honest as it will help us all.

BudgieMom · 29/06/2026 22:01

Week 61 and its 1lb off. We are down at the caravan this week so will be having some treats and a few drinks and will prey the scales are kind on monday! Hope everyone has a great weekend ☺️

Coventree · 02/07/2026 19:53

Well done BudgieMom!

Week 3 of no MJ for me. Definitely having to make more of an active choice not to make ‘bad’ food choices now, but I don’t mind that gentle nudge and it’s not like I’m ravenously raiding the cupboards. I’d say I’ve put 1-2lbs on (was 9st 7-8lbs, now 9st 8-9lbs) so I’m keeping a very close eye on this. All still well within my healthy buffer and well under my 10st line in the sand…but just being cautious and monitoring to make sure it doesn’t keep creeping up.

Keeping losing/maintaining and, most importantly, enjoying life everyone 🎉

Merlin23 · 03/07/2026 09:21

Check in
I am still lowering my dose by one click every 10 days. I took 3.75mg this week. Once I get to 2.5mg i will stay on that until my pens are low then I will do 1.25mg for 4 weeks then stop. But I think that will be the other side of Christmas.
I am staying between 115lbs and 120lbs which is great.
Today I was 117lbs.

I have 3 weeks left in my current job. Then I am starting my new venture.
At the moment I work in a nursery running after 20 toddlers. From September I will be a childminder. 3 toddlers maximum a day. I am so excited.
I am so pleased that I have kept my weight under control with all the stress of change this year. The registration process with Ofsted has been very stressful.

Have a great weekend everyone!

WE GOT THIS!!!!

StartingApril2025 · 04/07/2026 09:02

@Merlin23 well done and good luck on the new role as a childminder I’m sure it will
be a welcome change from the nursery. @Coventree I’m aim on week 2 as had a dose of 1.25mg week before that, I am without a doubt looking for more snacks , mindlessly eating wee snack bars allll the time. Evening snacking has also returned which I need to get a grip on, I’m going to give it another 2 weeks as we are going away to visit family then reassess and maybe start back on low dose again. I don’t want to undo all my hard work. I’m 11stone which is 3 pounds up since may when I started reducing down so keeping eye on this too. Great you @Coventree seem to have more handle on the cravings that me!! Well done

PumpKim · 05/07/2026 09:03

Exciting times @Merlin23 good luck.

I'm still here, still plodding 🫤
I've been on 10mg for ages, all fine then the last couple of pens I've had really bad gastric side effects and it was starting to impact work which I can't have, so decided to drop a dose. Started 7.5mg last week and now I've stayed the same weight! Nothing else has changed this week. So annoying 😡

Crunchymum · 05/07/2026 12:08

Hello all,

Long time!! Going to have a proper read through but looks like most of us are reducing / stopping altogether? I'm currently still on 10mg but will start to titrate when I get back from my holiday in August. Would love to get down to 2.5mg but given I still sometimes feel quite hungry on 10mg I'm a bit worried.

I'm currently 113lbs (5ft 1in so very short). Had been 115lbs for weeks but I got new scales and this is what they read.

With clothes I look and feel great. Without clothes its all a bit of a mess. My poor boobs. 3 DC, many years of breastfeeding and a 5st weightloss haven't been kind. I am still searching for the ultimate bikini but I think I'm going to have to admit defeat and buy shapewear swimsuits. Nothing I have ordered so far has done the trick. Same for bras. I've been measured in 2 different places, they gave me the same size but no bras fit me.

I'd gladly have these problems than be 5st heavier but I do miss my boobs.

Am finally brave enough for a comparison photo. Have tried to keep my face out though.

Before pictures were before I started Wegovy on 1st Feb 2025 at 187.5lbs (I moved to MJ in late April 2025 but can't find my pics from then? I was still 187.5lbs when I started MJ as I lost zero on Wegovy!) After pics are from May 2026 and around 117/120lbs.

Total lost 74.5lbs.

It's just mind blowing.

Well done @Crunchymum
You look amazing. I am similar to you 5ft 2in and I am 115-117lbs from 202lbs
I look good in clothes but I am very crepey on the inside.
My arms, tummy and thighs. 😥
At 54 I am not going to be going out in crop tops or bikinis. No vests is a shame but my upper arms don't look good.
I am hoping it might change as I do squats and lift weights when I remember.

BudgieMom · 06/07/2026 21:03

Another 0.5lb off this week. We were on holiday this week but we kept active averaging about 20k steps and we hired out a pedalo and go karts. Think I need another holiday to recover! 🤣 well done to everyone still plodding along you have done fantastic 👏 I hope everyone has a great week ☺️

Stasis26 · 07/07/2026 20:15

@Crunchymum wow your photos!!! Thank you for updating the thread with your progress - it’s fantastic to see and inspiring for all of us 🎉

Sorry you are feeling the loss of your boobs and adjusting to figuring out what works for your new shape. I won’t go back to bikinis ever now, but there are some gorgeous one pieces and tankinis out there.

@Coventreegreat work on maintaining!

@BudgieMom losing while on holiday is so impressive, well done!

@Crunchymum Wow well done you look great!

I just checked the pic gallery at the top of the thread, I think I missed a few when they were posted so if I didn't comment at the time, you all look fab well done!

dozywelshbird · 08/07/2026 07:38

Those photos are awesome, well done to those still losing and while on holiday, wow...

Another 1lb off today, 60lb total loss, I am 23.2 BMI but I've never seen my weight start with a 9 in my adult life so I'm aiming for that, 5lbs to go to get to that.
SW 204
CW 144
GW 139 ish 😁

Hope you are all managing in this heat 🥵

Coventree · 09/07/2026 14:59

Fab photos @Crunchymum and keep going everyone 🎉

I have to admit, it’s all gone horribly wrong here and I’m feeling a bit shocked and deflated. I’d mentioned below I was keeping a cautious eye on a slight rise in weight since coming off the MJ - well, every day it’s just gone up and up. It’s taken a few weeks for it to kick in but other than the slight weight increase, I noticed last week than my stomach was bloated for the first time in ages and I’ve gone up 4lbs since 1 July to today. I’ve panicked and re-ordered a pen, it came this morning and I’ve taken a 2.5mg dose. I CAN’T put all that weight I’ve lost back on, I just can’t.

But I haven’t started eating bread, crisps, chocolate etc, none of that, I’m still on limited carbs but I’m definitely eating more - but it was more of ‘healthy foods’ I.e. Mediterranean salads for lunch so including olives and cheese, yoghurt, muesli and fruit for breakfast rather than overnight oats, etc, so I thought I would be okay. But seeing the weight rocket back up like that and feeling helpless has really shocked me. I’m gutted I’ve not been able to manage life off the MJ. Absolutely gutted.

dozywelshbird · 10/07/2026 19:30

Ah @Coventree that's rubbish to hear and so frustrating as it's not like your scoffing all the bad stuff 😞 this is what we all worry might happen when we come off the jabs and it's the realisation that some kind of weight management will be needed.

All those things you mentioned are good relatively healthy foods but they are calorie laden... Do you have any sense how many calories you are consuming and could you maybe think about fasting one day a week to balance it out?

I hope you get to grips with it soon, keep posting here for support 😁

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 10/07/2026 22:40

@Coventree I'm sorry to hear you're struggling. 4lbs is not a lot, it could just be hormones or constipation or fluid retention in the heatwaves. I don't think it's enough to panic about but I am used to big fluctuations so I don't start to worry unless it hits about 10 lbs but I understand the fear of losing control of it and gaining it all back. We've all worked so hard to get to where we want to be and we are not going back to where we were a year and a half ago! If we need to stay on this medication long term that's ok, we don't quit blood pressure meds or antidepressants or whatever else as soon as we feel better. Sending a hug and hoping you feel better x

@Coventree
Don't panic.
We all have this fear, that is why I am still taking the jab. I am lowering the dose every week.
What scales do.you have. I have body scan ones and I am hoping they will help me understand what is going on.
I completely understand why you reordered I think I would have done the same. We are happier where we are and don't want to go back.
Log all your food on an app for a couple of weeks and see if there is a pattern.
You've got this!

Discogirl23 · 13/07/2026 21:37

@Coventree I feel your pain! I have been on and off the jab since last summer - I'm so afraid of the gain - and have now come back from holiday to discover I have put on a stone since Christmas! I've been titrating down, then off it entirely and more recently taking it every couple of weeks but now I've ordered a new pen and am going to have to go back to basics and jab every week. Equally gutted (and skint!). You're not alone x

wendywoopywoo222 · 13/07/2026 21:53

I’ve been running for six months and think exercise is the only way I’m ever going to keep this weight off. Have a bad knee at the moment so can’t run and am catastrophising that now I will put it all back on. Aren’t our minds weird things but I will have to be a bit more careful until I’m well. Still trying to lose another stone.

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 15/07/2026 20:28

I hit my goal weight last week 😲

I'm still fat, but a lot less fat than I was. I'm actually still in the obese category with a bmi of 32 but I wasn't aiming for skinny, just healthier. I have lipedema which means I can't lose all the fat unfortunately, so my goal was to get to 199lbs which feels like a realistic and maintainable weight for me.

The journey has been a bit slower and more frustrating than I expected it to be when I started. If I'm being honest, if someone had told me back then that paying so much for this medication, working extra shifts on weekends to pay for it, would get me 2lb per month losses I would never have started. I am so damn glad I did though! Those small losses soon add up and I've had so many other unexpected benefits from mounjaro

45yrs 5ft 6in
Start weight 277 lbs bmi 44.7
Current weight 198.2 lbs

(month 15 isn't finished yet but so far -2.2)
