We won’t make it to Christmas without a new board.

Well done to everyone for getting this far and thank you for your company.

Here’s to a healthy and happy 2026.

I feel as though the past two weeks have been wasted. Basically I put on 2lb the week beginning 1st Jan (I jab on Wednesday evenings) and then lost it again the following week. So no change on the scales and two jabs used. I think I ate up too much Christmas choc that week!

I know we'll get plateaus along the way but I'm very aware of what each week is costing me (I have to use a certain supplier as none of the others will prescribe due to my medical history, so no discounts).

I am going back to eating strictly within an eight hour window, which I was already doing pre WLI. Hopefully it will be better news at next weigh-in.

SoUncertain · 13/01/2026 12:25

I'm really hoping to be at a healthy weight by the end of the year. In the meantime, I have mini goals every 5 or so BMI points. Not sure what my rewards should be yet though - probably clothes that fit 🤣

How about you?

Kazzaa46 · 13/01/2026 18:27

@familyornot I’m pleased the increase to 7.5mg has been positive so far and you’re starting to lose again.

@Chopsy123 I have the exact same problem. My bum wasn’t big to begin with but I’ve lost loads from there and even have a bit of loose skin. As my bum wasn’t big it’s the last place I expected it. I have lost a lot of my belly but I still have way too much fat there. Strangely I have no loose skin there.

@OneDayIWillLearn great news on the loss and love the plan!

So my update:
I was going to jab yesterday which was day 5 due to it stopping working the last 2 weeks and I thought it may give me a boost but then my suppression seemed to return yesterday so I didn’t.
Suppression has been good today as well and a week exactly will be tomorrow morning but I may do it tonight.

I now don’t know whether to stick with 5mg for another week or go ahead with 6mg as planned. I don’t want to risk getting hungry again and have only lost 1lb in the last month but at the same time I don’t want potential side effects and am 12lb from target so knew the last bit would be slow. Decisions decisions 🤣

Chopsy123 · 14/01/2026 08:44

@Kazzaa46

Guessing that Christmas probably affected your losses this month especially if you ate more sugars/carbs? Also, the fact your suppression came back suggests you might not need to increase your dose just yet?

Well done in losing from your belly. Have you done any specific exercises to target those areas?

As you’re quite close to your target, what are your plans for maintenance? I know some posters are saying they’ll stick with the WLI and I’m thinking the same. I’m also hoping that with all the new medications coming to market, it might actually be much more affordable on the lowest doses in the future?

Chopsy123 · 14/01/2026 08:55

@SoUncertain I have at least another 2.5 stones to lose, maybe 3, so I’m hoping to be near my goal by late summer.

I saved all my summer clothes in bags when starting WLI in September as I wasn’t convinced this would work for me. 😂

I plan a huge clear out of my big clothes and I’ll hit my savings and enjoy a mini clothes shopping spree as my reward. 💃

I have just been doing YouTube videos. I do some 20 min hiit sessions and then some dumbbell workouts. When I was doing it earlier, on the floor exercises all I could notice was my round tummy 🤣 maybe I’m never destined to have a flat tummy!

I plan to stay on MJ for maintenance long term. Ideally work down gradually from 5mg until I get to a stage that lets me maintain. I’m with cloud and was going to change to a cheaper provider but they have a really flexible maintenance policy e.g if I do decide to stop but want to start again after a few months they let you even with a healthy BMI.

I took 5mg last night and actually woke up feeling low level nauseous which is strange for me but after having a meal replacement shake I felt ok again. Suppression has been really high today. Like you said, must’ve been the effects from Christmas.

GhostOrchid · 14/01/2026 18:19

I did an early weight check today to see how I’m going and pleased to see I'm 1.5lbs down on Friday (official weigh day).

Bought the bullet and swallowed the cost (eek) and ordered a 7.5mg pen plus some psyllium husk. Will report back fully on Friday. Hoping for a little more off.

Kazzaa46 · 14/01/2026 18:31

@GhostOrchid well done that’s amazing!

Something I thought worth sharing in case it helps others, as I’ve only just made the link but during the 2-3 weeks my suppression was poor I wasn’t exercising due to having a bad flu bug followed by a chesty cough. After getting better and restarting exercise, it’s back. Just googled it and “apparently” it can increase suppression.

outofofficeagain · 14/01/2026 19:45

I have been ill since just after Christmas and my suppression hasn’t been great. Really just want custard.

I am telling myself that my body really needs fuel to recover so not to worry too much.

Hi... I am still here
I've been meaning to come and say Hi, but life has been busy

My weightloss is ok.... I enjoyed myself over xmas... I didn't exclude anything, but I didn't go crazy - e.g. mince pies, only 1 tub of Quality Street for me & my daughter, instead of 2 tubs and loads of other sweets.

My weight just went up and down between 2kg from mid December to last week. I am still taking 5mg, but every 6 days from the last 3 weeks from a 7.5mg pen. I realise I need to if I want to effectively treat my insulin resistance and improve my blood sugars.

I want to go up to 6.25mg but don't want to have odd leftovers in the 7.5mg or 10mg pens I have. So I used the advanced information on the dose calculator website to work out how to increase the amount of MJ in my system without using more mg. (Fat Old Climber explains this in one of his videos).

5mg / 7.5mg / 7 days - Mounjaro in system: High: 7.22, Low: 3.67
5mg / 7.5mg / 6 days - Mounjaro in system: ⓘ High: 8.07, Low: 4.68
5mg / 10mg / 6 days - Mounjaro in system: ⓘ High: 8.07, Low: 4.68
6.25mg / 12.5mg / 7 days - Mounjaro in system: High: 9.28, Low: 6.04

So... a smaller step up to the next dose - no side effects and still feeling full...

In fact, I can go 12 - 16 hours without eating, so I tend to have a good sized meal when I do eat, in case I don't eat again for the day (here is what I had yesterday, before I went to Aqua Aerobics)
I was actually when I came back, so I had some fried bacon on toasted protein bread, with beans - weight down 0.5kg

Week 1: -0.7kg / -1.5lbs
Week 2: -1.3kg / -2.9lbs
Week 3: -1.2kg / -2.6lbs
Week 4: -0.4kg / -0.9lbs
Week 5: -1.1kg / -2.4lbs
Week 6: -1.3kg / -2.9lbs
Week 7: -0.3kg / -0.7lbs
Week 8: -1.5kg / -3.3lbs
Week 9: -0.9kg / -2.0lbs
Week 10: 0.0kg / 0.0bs
Week 11: -0.9kg / -2.0lbs
Week 12: -0.8kg / -1.8lbs
Week 13: -1.4kg / -3.1lbs
Week 14: +0.3kg / +0.7lbs
Week 15: -1.5kg / -3.3lbs
Week 16: +1.1kg / +2.4lbs work xmas party!
Week 17: -1.0kg / -2.2lbs day before xmas eve
Week 18: +0.8kg / +1.8lbs
Week 19: +0.3kg / +0.7lbs
Week 20: -1.0kg / -2.2lbs

I'm going to try and catch up on everyone's post now :)

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 15/01/2026 09:18

@Kazzaa46 that’s interesting what you said about exercise and suppression. I take myself for a walk if I start thinking food too much/feeling hungry when I shouldn’t be. That quite often does the trick and when I get back, I’m feeling fine and can go until the next meal with no issues. I’ve thought i just distract myself but maybe there’s some science behind it too 😄

I have also started having chewing gum if I fancy something sweet. Bubblegum flavoured ones are my go to and those seem to satisfy my sweet tooth! I’m not currently counting these in my calories but if anyone is having chewing gum, please remember that those are not calorie free!

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 15/01/2026 09:27

@maz99 I came across Fat Old Climber awhile ago and remember him explaining the highs/lows with different combinations. I’m still on 4.25mg and not planning to increase yet but I do wonder if my next step is to go up to 5mg or jab every 6 days instead. I used the GLP-1 Plotter website to check different combos.

Atalosswhat2do · 15/01/2026 09:41

I hope everyone’s having a good week.

Over the last 6 weeks I have been steadily increasing my exercise. I now do resistance training every second day currently focusing on my arms & stomach with good results. I walk a minimum of 10k per day and my steps are between 14,000 - 18,000 per day. To support my extra exercise I have raised my calories to 1300 this week so the scales have been a bit erratic, but it’s still trending downwards so I’m happy with that!

Week 18 results:

SW: 12st 3lb
CW: 9st 7.4lb
GW: 9st 1lb

Week 1: -6lb
Week 2: -2lb
Week 3: -1lb
Week 4: -2lb
Week 5: -3lb
Week 6: -2lb
Week 7: -0.5lb
Week 8: -1.2lb
Week 9: -1.4lb
Week 10: -3.6lb
Week 11: -3.1lb
Week 12: -0.3lb
Week 13: -2.9lb
Week 14: -1.8lb
Week 15: -3lb
Week 16: -1.7lb
Week 17: -1.7lb
Week 18: -0.4lb

Total Loss: 2st 9.6lb

Good luck to everyone weighing and jabbing this week!

The GLP-1 Plotter website looks confusing to me... not sure what to do with it

Wow you're so close! 🤩🙌 well done!

I've also started exercising, just done workout 2 of the year. Had to wait 2 days between to get over the jelly legs from Tuesdays workout 😂 i'm feeling good and want to shift this last 11lb along with toning up if I can!

I'd really like to get rid of my wobbly c-section apron belly but research tells me its not going anywhere 😅 its definitely looking better than it did. High waisted bikini this summer for me 😅

Well done! That’s exactly the way to do it with rest days in between. I’m like Bambi on ice after I do the vibration plate 🫣

Im the same with the c section over hang, I have found it has shrunk massively with my stomach but it will always be there for us unfortunately! Although I do now have the pleasure of putting pants on and they don’t roll under it any more so I will take that as a win. 😆

SerafinasGoose · 16/01/2026 09:07

Weigh-in day for me. I'm still at 13 st for the third week running.

Can't restrict my calorie intake much more than it is without being unsustainable. My first plateau. Ugh.

GhostOrchid · 16/01/2026 09:41

After a slight gain last week (just under 1lb) I’m pleased to report I’m almost 3lb down, so I’ve lost my increase plus another 2lbs. Really pleased with that as I was getting vague “what if it’s stopped working” fear.

So that means I am now in the 14s and BMI is tantalisingly close to dipping below 35. My clothes are all much looser and/or fit much better, my belly is flatter and face slimmer, jawline more defined.

I was on Teams call with a colleague in the office the other day, sharing his laptop so could see us sitting side by side in the Teams window. Interesting to see myself next to someone else of fairly average build (albeit a man). I thought I looked like a pretty normal person rather than a big blob that dwarfed them.

Also, I live half way up a huge hill. The local high street is below my house so coming back involves a short, steep climb. It would always make me breathe quite hard and give me calf burn. Had to make two trips yesterday and sailed back up as if it was nothing in the world. Not even slightly out of breath.

My stats:

SW: 109kg
CW: 94.5kg
Next interim GW: 86 kg

Since late September I’ve lost 14.5kg or 32lbs, knocking 5 points off my BMI.

Sleetingnow · 16/01/2026 14:28

Today I hit 3 stone loss - first time in the 13s for 13 years!
I am still on 5mg and really starting to feel hungry now and food noise has crept back in. I wanted to stay at 5 as long as possible because I thought it would be best for weaning myself off at the end, and also cost! But I'm getting more anxious about the long term plan. All the studies /anecdotal stuff I'm reading is about weight returning pretty quickly once you finish. My dh asked me about it the other day cos he assumed I'd be stopping by the summer, but more and more I'm reading that I may have to stay on indefinitely...which is a bit of a different sell to him in terms of cost!!
What's everyone else thinking re maintenance?

I also got excited reading the pills were on their way and patents expiring meaning costs will come down, but looking into it more that looks doubtful - Lilly have the patent till at least 2036!!

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 17/01/2026 12:11

Happy Saturday everyone! Weigh in day for me.

W21 D1 3.75mg (4.25mg)
SW 19st 3lbs
CW 14st 7lbs
GW1 15st (03/01/26)
GW2 13st
Total loss- 67lbs, last week -3lbs

I’ve had a weird week suppression wise. I’ve eaten the same food during the week pretty much the whole time I’ve been on mj, but this week I’ve felt really full and bloated after my meals. I dropped the dose this morning from 4.25mg to 3.75mg to see if that helps.

NSV: I can comfortably fit into M&S and White Stuff size18! What a change from plus size 24/26 clothing!

Absolutelycluelesss · 17/01/2026 21:13

Hi all. Hope your all doing well. Quick question, we’ve just booked a holiday in May for a week and leave on a Thursday. My usual jab day is Friday. My question is has anyone travelled abroad with MJ and if so where did u pack it? Also to save me stressing do I just take it a couple of days early (as we fly early morning Thursday and I usually jab Friday night).

I have flown twice with mj pen (Amsterdam & Madrid, from Heathrow and Stansted). Both times, I had the pen with the needles in the original cardboard box in my hand luggage. You don’t need to remove liquids anymore, so I just kept it in my bag, which went through the scanners with no issues or questions. I haven’t traveled with syringes, so I don’t know about those.

Chopsy123 · 18/01/2026 08:21

@Absolutelycluelesss I’d be really worried about losing my pen or not keeping it refrigerated so in your shoes, I’d jab a day early.

I was away last week over jab day so I took my jab a day later when I got home.

OneDayIWillLearn · 18/01/2026 08:32

@Absolutelycluelesss I’ve moved my jab day around to avoid it being when I’m away from home. I’ve usually done it by doing a few 6 day intervals in a row (rather than 7 day) so it comes forward gradually. Never caused me any issues and it’s one less thing to worry about!

@Sleetingnow there was quite a bit of discussion about people’s maintenance plans a page or two back if you go up the thread. I’m not expecting to be able to come off any time soon myself.
