Hi everyone, starting a second thread as the other one is almost full. We made it through month one, now here’s to a happy, healthy and lighter 2026!

How’s everyone doing? Feeling like it’s been a bit quieter on the thread recently so just checking in. I am frustratingly still 0.25lbs of the next stone bracket (12s) but I feel like I’ve had a much better grip on my calories recently so hoping it won’t be long. My 7.5mg pen arrived yesterday ready to take next week. I’m a little worried about the side effects, I find the tiredness in the first couple of days after taking the jab really hard to deal with. But I do really need to speed up the weight loss a little bit as I feel like I am stalling and very conscious of the cost so I’m going to see how it goes.

Hiya 👋
Best of luck for the 7.5 jab, Really hope it comes without any side effects.

I’ve stuck on 2.5 as I’ve still got enough suppression to keep losing as long as I employ a bit of will power too! 2st 8lbs down and now in the healthy BMI (just). To get nearer the middle of the healthy BMI I have to lose at least another stone - BUT I’m not sure I want that - I don’t want it to become aging as I’d rather be a little plumper than look drawn. Going to keep going for now but if I reach maintenance rather than loss I’ll be ok with that.

user593 · 30/01/2026 00:09

I’ve been feeling quite queasy from the 5ml I took yesterday and not been able to eat much. Hopefully it subsides tomorrow. It’s not been too awful but I probably need to eat more (which sounds such a strange thing to say!).

I don't think most people do look gaunt so you may find you feel fine. I looked bloated before so now look healthy and normal. I am still a fair amount over my lowest ever weight. BMI 23.8 and I would like to get to around 22. My skin looks way better also, I guess due to my diet improving.

I felt sick till about day 3/4 when I increased. It got better with each jab then I got ill and got the nausea back. So frustrating.

Oh and definitely eat more, little and often helped loads.

user593 · 30/01/2026 00:47

@SexyFrenchDepression I’ve been running around after my toddler today (terrible twos!) but I have a free day tomorrow so I think I’m going to do some meal prep. I find everything so much easier if I can just grab food ready to eat straight out of the fridge.

user593 · 30/01/2026 10:18

NSV, just tried on everything in my wardrobe, 1/2 is going to charity. The other half is big but still passable for now 🥳 I also passed the 20kg loss mark this morning (20.3kg). 26% of the way there 😅

Great successes ! I’m still slow and steady 1 stone 10 lbs , also been trying on clothes that either fit so much better or haven’t been able to wear at all
Booked a holiday also so aiming for another half stone off by then ( 5 weeks to go ) feeling good , kept to the 3.75mg and no issues with that

Springbaby2023 · 30/01/2026 13:27

Amazing losses of @EducatingRosemary and @user593! I’m jealous.

I’ve been feeling sick today and I’m sure it’s because my suppression kicks in around day 5 and I’ve not eaten well, plus I went to an exercise class first thing and think it’s all just taken it out of me. But on the plus side would never have done a before work exercise class before this!!

user593 · 30/01/2026 13:32

@Springbaby2023 It’s always day 2 for me which is why I barely ate anything st all yesterday (day 2). I hope you feel better soon. You did so well getting out to a class though! I haven’t attempted exercise but should probably start thinking about it. I’ve noticed though the time it takes me to do the school run in the mornings is so much less now because I move so much faster.

Fifiellz · 30/01/2026 14:20

Well done all! This is the third week I think I’ve been on 5mg and since I took it yesterday I have felt absolutely awful. My heads been banging, I feel really anxious and depressed and it’s really not like me at all. Came on literally an hour after I jabbed. Haven’t had a reaction like this since I started.

But anyway I’m going back down to 2.5 J think next week - 5 hasn’t made any difference at all weight or suppression wise anyway.

Springbaby2023 · 30/01/2026 20:53

Omg I’ve had a day of not logging calories today. Felt pretty rubbish all day so I’ve been snacking little and often rather than proper meals, and then had a normal dinner tonight but didn’t check calories before. Also had a slice of cake at work which isn’t like me at all (ironically I usually find it easy to resist sweet treats when not on the jabs!!). Anyway just decided to log it all now and it comes to 2100 calories. No wonder I have been piling on weight pre jabs, it genuinely doesn’t feel like I’ve eaten anything. I’ve ironically had far more food / felt better on days with a much much lower intake. A really good wake up call for me as to why I need to keep tracking both on the jabs and when I finish. Hoping one day of being quite a bit over won’t set me back too much!

@Springbaby2023 sorry to hear you're feeling rubbish why is that?

So looks like I'll be stopping soon

this is day five of feeling rubbish after 2.5 mg. I thought I was getting used to it but maybe not.

I know a few posters have mentioned clear protein on here. I feel as if that would be helpful. Do you have any recommendations? Also, what's the difference between that and protein water? Is it just one is a powder that I have to mix myself? That's fine I don't particularly need to carry around bottles of protein water.... although I can see that it might be handy at work

Does it have any effect on appetite? I do think I need to up my protein and I thought something like this might be handy

I mean, if you drink a protein water, do you actually feel as if you've had some nutrients?

I use MyProtein clear whey, the flavours are lovely. I put Collagen glow up and creatine powder from nutrition geeks in also. They are powder you mix with water, you can get a variety pack rather than a tub which ars single sachets. I just use a shaker bottle and take it to work. They fill me up enough but my appetite is small, it helped me when my appetite was really suppressed as its 400ml of water plus a decent amount of protein (20g) with the collagen being a further 12g.

I generally have a protein yoghurt with raspberries for breakfast and now I am adding 2 tablespoons of chia seeds. Clear whey protein shake for lunch (but generally drink it slowly) then dinner which is usually meat and veg. If i need a snack it'll be fruit or the graze marmite bites. I try to have around 1000 cals. I generally manage 80-90g of protein which is ok. 100g would be better.

Fifiellz · 30/01/2026 23:37

I like the Myprotein Vimto clear whey. I don’t notice it fills me up especially I just drink it to get my protein in.

I really need to start some exercise, I’m really starting to notice some loose skin, Only tiny bits but I want to get on it.

RoundandSad · 31/01/2026 00:06

@SexyFrenchDepression thank you
Are you averaging 1000 cal a day?

@Fifiellz thank you

I will look up these recommendations

I have yoghurt and seeds and fruit at breakfast. I think most of MN is having Fage at breakfast! I didn't really want to introduce an artificial powder because I don't really have that kind of thing but I'm feeling really bored of fish chicken eggs already so trying to increase my protein intake is going to be a challenge.

SexyFrenchDepression · 31/01/2026 00:12

@RoundandSad maybe just under 1000cals average but that is what I should be having for a 1-1.5lb weightloss per week. Some days I have a much better balance within what I eat and I definitely feel better for it. The days I have less healthy food so therefore less of it/less protein etc I do feel worse.

SexyFrenchDepression · 31/01/2026 09:12

Went out for a curry last night, plus had a couple of fizzy drinks and a baileys. I had half a chicken shashlik, 2 poppadoms (with heaps of mango chutney) and a quarter of a naan, no rice. So not actually anything really high cal just a few carbs but between tues and now I only lost 0.1lb, I lost 1.1lb Sat to Tues so still 1.2lb this week. I imagine it is a bit of bloating from not so healthy food and also due on in a couple of days.

I actually feel really positive that I could eat a bit more after going back to lower dose plus it was day 5 so appetite slightly better. Its the first time I havent dreaded a meal out. I probably could have eaten more but found it easy to stop when I felt it was enough. I actually didnt need to order the naan bread as would have been able to eat all my chicken but it was soooooo nice 😂

The thing is that eggs actually dont have loads of protein in compared to the calories, a good trick is to have scrambled eggs but made with some full eggs then some egg whites to make it a better balance. I am basically eating really clean but have the clear protein as it obv has loads of protein but it means I can have my collagen/creatine in it (creatine pretty important IMO) plus extra water is always helpful.

user593 · 31/01/2026 09:47

@SexyFrenchDepression How funny, my DP insisted we get take away last night and I also ate 1/2 a chicken shashlik (and 1/2 a naan) which was a bit too much and against my better judgement. I’m really feeling it this morning. Feels like it’s still caught in my throat. Much to my shock I dropped 1lb on the scales overnight (was expecting a small gain given how full I feel!).

I’ve lost 4.5lbs this week, after upping to 5mg mid-week, not sure if it’s the 5mg or a fluke but it’s the best result I’ve had in a while.

I’m also wearing my size 22 jeans for the first time today. My size 24 jeans were getting far too baggy, but I’d only had them a month!

SexyFrenchDepression · 31/01/2026 09:53

@user593 thats an amazing loss! I have definitely noticed that how bloated i feel doesnt necessarily match what is reflected on the scales. I have had a weird week though as been out so much so eating a bit all over the place, probably less cals but also less water and not as balanced meals but realistically 1lb a week is what I need to be aiming for as suddenly my skin doesnt look as tight this week (tummy/legs) so need to up my exercise and water game and keep to small losses.

I really need to work on my lower stomach, its the fattest bit, I am hoping the last 11lbs comes off that mostly 😂 but toning in the meantime will hopefully mean it'll look better by the summer.

Springbaby2023 · 31/01/2026 09:55

@SexyFrenchDepression sounds like you’ve got a really good balance happening! I think I need to get some clear protein, on the whole I’ve been doing better with protein this week but I think that would help. Sometimes I go to have a protein shake and then don’t to save the calories. Interesting you get less suppression on day 5, that’s when it tends to be at its highest for me, it’s so different for everyone isn’t it.

@user593 I had similar, after my terrible day of food yesterday and feeling rubbish all night I was actually 1lb down on the scales today. Which means I’ve finally seen the 12st on the scales instead of a 13st number!

OP posts:
SexyFrenchDepression · 31/01/2026 09:58

@Springbaby2023 the best thing about the clear whey is that its 89 cals, I felt the milky ones were using up too many calories so were affecting my ability to actually get enough protein in overall. My suppression always kicks in within hours of taking the jab. I still have suppression on days 5-7 but it means I can enjoy food more, even if I can't eat loads. Generally my balance is good but this week instead of dinner one night I had to have a protein bar as rushed from work to the theatre, not really ideal 😂

Congrats on getting to that next stone down, it makes it all so worth it doesnt it!!

user593 · 31/01/2026 10:05

@Springbaby2023 Congrats on 12st! It’s always great hitting a milestone. I’m hoping to see 19st soon 🙈
