Welcome fellow maintainers to our third thread! Tis the season to be joyful and we do have reasons to be joyful, as we are still here. Not always the perfect journey and full of treats and temptations, but we'd have nothing to talk about otherwise. So hop on the Magical Maintenance Sleigh of Wonder and lets go! (Apologies to all those reading this for the first time in March! I got a bit carried away my festive season puns.)

Morning, thank you for the push to weigh. It wasn't awful. I haven't put all the weight back on overnight. I have put on 2lbs on the last week since I weighed which is likely correct. I'm now 7lbs up from my target which I maintained for 7 months last year. 9 lbs from lowest.
It's bad but it's not awful and I can deal with it now. I didn't binge last night.

FurForksSake · 12/02/2026 09:31

@tinyemmy well done! Definitely having a clear idea is helpful.

Placestogo · 12/02/2026 10:13

@tinyemmy brilliant! Very pleased for you!

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/02/2026 10:58

Well done for being brave and not as bad as you thought

FurForksSake · 11/02/2026 16:14

@MeridaBrave how long do you think it took for you to get ripped?

I feel like I don’t want to get any bigger or smaller really but I would really, really like to lower my fat percentage and massively improve my muscle. It feels like they can take years though.

Several years of heavy lifting! It’s not quick.

I was a calorie counter, logging on Nutracheck. I weigh once a week still. What I have found weird is I haven’t been calorie counting, but I haven’t changed weight. At all. 62.3kg on the dot each time.

I know I should log stuff really. I do get hungrier, but I usually have some nuts and seeds or drink loads of water. My lunch is the main issue, I’ve started using bread. I find lunch a tricky one. I like salad in the warmer months, but not really found a winter replacement. I’ve tried soup, but I don’t love it. I don’t really like beans and pulses. I’ve tried hard to, I want to, but the texture is just wrong!

Bread can be ok - try and get proper bread and then if you freeze it before using you significantly reduce its glycemic index

Incognitoburrito88 · 15/02/2026 13:59

Hi everyone, just checking in. I’ve just finished my first week on 1.25mg and it was fine. I’m still hovering around the lower end of my zone of tolerance.

i ran a half marathon last weekend and was five minutes faster than the PB I set in my 20’s - considering I’m nearly 20 yrs older and have acquired 4 children and a full time job since then I feel quite proud. 1.25mg takes the edge off the food noise but allows me to eat the big meals I need around my long runs so planning to stay on this for a while - I’ve just started a 5mg pen so will finish it before I think about changing dose again.

@tinyemmy well done for standing on the scales - I’m a daily weigher but sometimes I really have to gird my loins before I step on! Hope you can get things back on track after your holiday.

Tohaveandtohold · 15/02/2026 14:21

Hi everyone, I’m checking in here today as it’s exactly a year since I took my last jab.
Pleased to report that I’ve not piled on the weight I lost and all the fears I had last year are all gone now.
Starting weight: 87.1kg (13st 7) BMI 33 - Oct 5 2024,
Final weight : 65.6kg 10st 4.6lbs BMI 24.9 Feb 15, 2025

Today, one year since my last Jab current weight 61.2kg, 9st 9 lbs, BMI 23.3
I’ve not done anything differently from what we all already know and I’m glad it’s all working for me. I'm in a happy and better place, more motivated to keep going and not lose track.

Placestogo · 15/02/2026 14:27

@Tohaveandtoholdcongratulations! That is an amazing feat!

Orangesandlemons77 · 15/02/2026 14:48

I had a message from Voy about click counting and continuing, at some kind of new rate? Anyone else had this; what did you think?

FAQ
Everything you need to know

Is smart dosing safe?
Yes — when prescribed by a clinician. It sits within the medication's safe range and allows treatment to be personalised. Off‑label use like this is common in healthcare.

Will my pen really last longer?
Yes. Smart dosing divides one pen into up to six weekly doses instead of four, helping reduce long-term costs.

Will I still get support whilst smart dosing?
Yes. Your plan is prescribed and reviewed by a clinician, and you have tailored access to coaching and guidance throughout your Restart.

Is this off label?
Using the pen in this way extends the in-use shelf-life beyond the manufacturer's stated guidance and is considered off-label. This recommendation is based on external stability testing we have conducted.

I forgot I saw that too and was a bit intrigued.

@Tohaveandtohold well done! Are you coping well over holidays and things?

Tohaveandtohold · 15/02/2026 15:52

@FurForksSake i gained 3lbs when I went on holiday in August but lost the 3lbs in September when I went back to my usual routine. Similar thing happened at Christmas. I try and enjoy festivities within reason but I’m just making sure I’m tackling the small gains rather than waiting for it to get out of hand.

DontKillSteve · 15/02/2026 16:44

Hello. I’m taking 2.5mg every 2-3 weeks and maintaining 59-60kg BMI 21. Feel ok, definitely think about food a lot more. I weigh self every day which helps me to cut back if it’s creeping up. Also gives me false reassurance if down. I’m really reluctant to stop the Mounjaro completely.

tinyemmy · 15/02/2026 18:41

Congratulations @Incognitoburrito88on the PB! And thank you!

@Tohaveandtoholdincredible. Well done! Bringing us hope!

OneThirdLess · 15/02/2026 21:29

@Tohaveandtohold well done, and thanks for coming back to share the good news! Can I ask - do you need to use some willpower to do battle with food noise and/or excess hunger? Or does your appetite match what you need to eat to maintain?

Tohaveandtohold · 15/02/2026 22:02

@OneThirdLess so I feel hunger and the food noise is still there, the first 2 months were harder but I sort of got used to the feeling. The feeling of hunger is not overwhelming anymore because overtime, it’s like I’ve developed coping strategies. I won’t really say I’m constantly using will power per se because when I’m hungry for example, I still snack but I’ll now actively choose carrot sticks for example over chocolates and drink water so I feel full but on something with less calories.
In short, I know I can’t control feeling hungry or the food noise so I’ve accepted them, I’ve just been changing my habits in how I respond to them in a way that will be sustainable long term.

Azuresky68 · 15/02/2026 23:51

Congratulations to all the success I have been reading about on the thread 🏆👌🏆

Azuresky68 · 16/02/2026 00:03

Personally I have been struggling to maintain my happy weight of 8 stone 5 pounds while jabbing 7.5. Due to quite a lot of holidays I am now 7 pounds heavier than I was late December even though I am less than my original goal of 9 stone. I managed to maintain at 8 st 5 for nearly 6 months on 10 mg from August 2025, despite my holidays away. I need to manage on a lower dose as I can't afford to stay on 10.

Azuresky68 · 16/02/2026 00:08

One more from me...any advice on extracting using a syringe please? Sometines when I do this there seems to be a lot of air bubbles in the syringe and it's hard to tell how much actual liquid is in there. Not sure where i am going wrong 😕

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2026 04:01

Amazing some have been off for a heat and not gained. Well done

interesting by voy and wonder if others will follow suit

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/02/2026 04:01

Never had air bubbles so can’t help

MargoLivebetter · 16/02/2026 08:39

I'm back from holiday. It was very active, but I didn't calorie count and I ate lots of things I normally wouldn't - but not to excess and I only gained 1lb. Relieved and pleased. This is still on the half dose of MJ each week.

Lovely to read that things are mostly going well and welcome to the new posters too.

@Azuresky68 I find that I have to press the syringe plunger in very firmly before I insert it into the pen to ensure that as much air is pushed out as possible. I always hold the pen and syringe upright to slowly extract the MJ. I usually pull out a tiny bit more than I intend to dose and then give the syringe a little flick and squirt out a drop or two to ensure that the air bubbles have been pushed out.

@Orangesandlemons77 really interesting information from Voy about doing smaller doses. I think we are going to see much more of this as time goes by.

@Incognitoburrito88 congratulations on your great time doing the half marathon. That's fantastic. I felt like a flipping athlete on my holiday!!!! Not sure if it is being so much lighter, fitter or the HRT - but whatever it was - I'm delighted.

Oh dear… really struggling… im WFH and i find myself constantly in the kitchen. It doesnt help that the quiche i made for lunch is delicious and there are leftovers…. 😩 i mean it isn’t too bad but it is definitely more snacking/food noise than with a higher dose of MJ….
