Gosh I thought it was just me, but MJ does make you windy - even when no carbs are consumed 🤣

Thankfully it's made me less windy overall, as it's calmed my IBS right down. Now it's like an advance poo warning alarm 😂

LindtCurves · 20/12/2025 23:13

@Goldleafcat @Mounjaropen What does Niod’s fractionating eye concentrate do?

@PinkArt Same for me, but maybe it's also how I've changed my diet. Now I only feel 'unwell' if I go to town on UPFs, especially chips/crisps etc. Rest of the time flat stomach and no wind... Thanks for fixing that as well, MJ! Is there something this drug doesn't do?

On another note I am so looking forward to seeing the sales offers. Got a fashion Wishlist, seeing as I have tried to contain myself lately, and will execute against it if the prices frop reasonably low. I used to love Chanel ads in the 2000s and I've realised I am building a wardrobe that looks very much like that at the moment, playful pink tweed, pearl accessories and all.

Does Vinted do temporary freezes for addicts? A bit like gambling companies, maybe some shops should have my picture with 'do not let this woman enter' 😆

lol at banning yourself from fashion websites - I think you’re onto something there and I might need to join you 😂

NIOD FEC for me reduced the fine lines around my eyes. I’ve used it consistently for about 4 years now. It is quite pricey but you need a very small amount. I reckon I get through a bottle every 4- 5 months maybe? I layer it with Strivectin 360 peptight serum which is also very good but does pill so I use it in the evening rather than in the morning.

A mini check in from me. No weight loss that I know of this week, but haven’t weighed for a few days, and I’ve been away the last couple of days for a funeral. Very sad, but a good send off, and was also lovely to see family I haven’t seen in years (the weird bittersweet thing with funerals). A very long day yesterday which involved quite a few drinks and naughtier food than usual, and then a hotel fry up this morning!

What I did experience in a positive way was that so many people commented on how well I looked, and absolutely no questions about weight loss jabs thank goodness. And, it also reaffirmed that being slender really does seem to be synonymous with looking more youthful. At least 3 people thought I was in my 30s (including a cousin who should really know better as she’s only about 3 years older than me!). I’m 45. Bonkers. Reassuring though, because I was worrying about ‘Ozempic face’ and ‘Ozempic neck’, and feeling a tad stressed work wise in the run up to Christmas. I did however have a fabulous night’s sleep Thursday night which may have helped (on my own in a big hotel bed, no 3 year old draped half over me or a snoring DH!).

I shall be continuing my Trinny London, collagen (nutrition geeks) and probably shall continue Botox! I’ve also recently introduced Niod’s fractionating eye concentrate on the recommendation of @Mounjaropen . Any more of these fabulous recommendations please keep them coming!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone

Sorry to hear of your loss. Glad people were respectful of the situation and reined in the inappropriate weight conversations. Never fails to surprise me what people think is appropriate at a funeral. Lovely that people think you are a decade younger than you are though!

my go-to’s / faves are:

AM
Elemis cleansing balm or The Inkey List Oat cleansing balm
NIOD FEC
Strivectin Peptight eye serum
Pixi glow acid toner
Strivectin peptight tighten and lift serum
Oskia Vit C capsules
Coryx snail mucin
A hydrating mist sometimes (at the moment it’s Omorovicza Queen of Hungary Mist )
Superfacialist Moisturiser, The inkey list peptide moisturiser or if I’m flush, Kate Somerville Peptide moisturiser
SPF

PM
Elemis cleansing balm/Oat cleansing balm followed by a second cleanser if it’s a make up day - right now it’s Dr Jack’s
acid tone as above
Eye serums as above
Retinol of some description (The ordinary is good, Sunday Riley if I’m feeling flush)
Strivectin Peptight as above
Snail mucin as above
Good moisturiser - at the moment it’s Elemis pro-collagen

I got the Liberty advent calendar from DH so I’m swapping in bits as I get them to see what they’re like.

One a week I fake tan so I do a full body scrub plus a facial exfoliation such as The ordinary BHA/AHA peeling solution. I moisturise everything after a shower normally with either Clarins body cream or the Bio oil body moisturiser. I use my sarah chapman massage devices every day on my face, upper arms, bum and tights (obviously it’s a different one for the face!) I should use my nuface device more than I do - so that’s on my intention list for 2026. I’m also considering a Therabody light therapy mask for 2026. I’ve also got my eye on a Higher Dose PEMF mat but at over a grand, it’s very much on a wish list. As is their infrared sauna blanket.

Obviously I’m in the bathroom for a looong time but it’s important to say you need to allow plenty of time for the products to sink into the skin before applying the next layer so I find it easier to achieve this by not doing this right before bed when I’m knackered and more likely to skip steps to get into the sack...

I am aware it’s a lot 😂

@Goldleafcatsorry for your loss. Glad it was a good send off.

I got my upgrade, I’m not so patiently waiting for my second glass of champagne in the lounge.
Last night I threw up dinner, not that I’d eaten much of it. I swear post period I get week one side effects rampaging out. At least it was a one off and I’m not ill.
Im planning to be fairly relaxed while away probably 1MAD and try and get my steps in.

Hope everyone has a wonderful season, with no stressing and no annoying relatives. Okay pigs are flying past the window Grin

Wow I am impressed! Sounds like a fantastic and dedicated routine. My routine now is miles better than it was 12 months ago but nowhere in the same league. Thank you for sharing, I’ve noted it all down and will try introducing elements over time! Fantastic inspiration. For me when I was trying to add new things in it was so confusing and the choice overwhelming- having guidance has been great. I think that’s why I’ve enjoyed the Trinny stuff, they have a matching tool which recommends stuff which takes the faff out (but obviously helps them as it’s all their own products!).

Thank you. Death is horrible, heartbreaking and exhausting. But always a poignant reminder of what really matters… It’s helped with perspective.

Aha yes it was incredibly flattering. I don’t know if it was some sort of collective hallucination or a glitch in the matrix but I enjoyed hearing the compliments nonetheless (especially as an older mummy!). I need to have a think about being better nutrition wise and making sure I drink enough water, drink less alcohol etc in 2026 (potentially to also help me ease off MJ). I was all ready to bin off collagen a couple of months ago but now I’m sticking with it 🤭. I’m taking Perfectil max too. May all be stuff and nonsense but scared to stop now 😆

Thank you.

Have an absolutely fantastic trip and enjoy the champagne! Sorry to hear you threw up, that’s pants. Hopefully it calms down / no more repeat events. When I was a teen and started my periods I would be sick every month, had to take anti nausea pills until it calmed down. Hormones have a lot to answer for!

LindtCurves · 21/12/2025 20:04

@Mounjaropen is the snail stuff good? I’ve been tempted a while but unwilling to swap out my Elemis so afraid I wouldn’t really use it unless it makes a massive difference.

Thanks for the eye care tip!

RayonSunrise · 21/12/2025 20:51

I love the snail stuff, too. I know it sounds weird, but nothing else hydrates in quite the same way…

It’s great and cheap. I think I posted about it last May and my original bottle (£20ish) has only just run out. I use it to layer between the treat step of my routine and moisturising step. It seems to ‘lock in’ the products.

I had this. Sadly also had a mother who wasn’t interested in sorting out the issue. Suffice to say I was very different in my approach when the same happened to DD.

Happy new week skinny bitches!

How was everyone's weekend? I cannot believe it's christmas in a few days! I've just been pondering whether to jab or not this week and i think I've decided to delay. I was so ill last week that I forgot to jab on the Sunday, so it was Tuesday before I remembered! So if I jab tomorrow, I'll be peak suppression Christmas day which doesn't sound very appealing. I'd like to enjoy my roast dinner with all the trimmings without fear of throwing up/getting stuck half way through. So no jab for me this week - I'll wait until the weekend and jab then.

This is my plan too - I jabbed last Tuesday strategically (normally jab on a Monday) so I should have a good appetite for Christmas Day. My plan is to then jab Saturday (although we are out for dinner on Sat so will see how hungry I am feeling, will be interesting to see if I turn into a ravenous beast!).

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 22/12/2025 12:02

Another family celebration and a festive event over the weekend means I am now hanging onto 10 stone 1lb but I am okay with that. Unlikely to break the 10 stone barrier before Christmas but I don’t want to pile weight on over this dangerous time of year. I am aimining to STS over the next week and planning to hit goal weight by end of January. Jabbing tonight! I can’t not jab but will do tonight and not tomorrow

LindtCurves · 22/12/2025 15:30

@SerenePeer @Goldleafcat Same strategy, I want to have an appetite at Christmas.

Looking at the fridges and meal descriptions on here, our Christmas fridge will look probably on the other end of the spectrum, far too empty.

I’ll be having a bit of turkey, carrots, parsnips and cabbage. Not even roast potatoes, decided I didn’t fancy them when shopping! Dessert will be panettone and some clotted cream. There’s one pack of very nice biscuits around and a couple of chocolate boxes, but they’ll probably go only lightly touched. No alcohol as no interest in it on MJ. The bf will have a bit of wine I think, and has requested a seafood snacks platter (M&S one so not opulent).

There’s some other snacks but they’re mostly fruit based (big fruit platter) and some cheese, healthy crackers etc.

Am I the grinch with this Christmas menu? That’s for 3 days as well! And mostly fruit & veg!

Does anyone know anyone who doesn’t go crazy with food at Xmas? My ex MIL actually did a very normal, small portioned meal at Xmas - roast beef with salad and potatoes, all individually plated out - and not much else. She was very slim and lacked interest in food - but generally ive not met many people who don’t go crazy with food shopping at Xmas.

RayonSunrise · 22/12/2025 16:37

Er, I’m very much on the Going Crazy with Food Shopping end of the spectrum, I love to plan and create festive menus! But I will be nibbling and tasting for the most part - overeating looks pretty different on the jabs.

I have a houseful of people for Christmas Day and Boxing Day, then I expect to coast along for a good week on leftovers!

Which snail product do you use @Mounjaropen . I've had a look at it on Amazon & there seems to be quite a few different variations of Coryx snail mucin to choose from.
I jabbed and upped my dose yesterday. I'd gone a bit mad with the food shopping and nibbling. Then I realised that there's only 8 of us not 80. I'm staying away from all supermarkets until next week. I've got to pick up my order from the butcher in the morning and that's the food shop done.

Watching the Alan and Amanda Spanish Christmas special. Alan has a lot more hair than he did last time I watched him. <narrows eyes> Minoxidil?

I jabbed last night (2.5mg), which should see me through. I only have 2 doses left in what was supposed to be my last pen. Twitching slightly - hoping DH is serious about going on MJ after Christmas so I can have his bonus dose if required. Turns out a (male) friend of his is on it, which might help with the decision.

BlueWalker · 22/12/2025 22:00

I've got about 6/7 lbs left to lose to get to my new goal weight. 3/4 lbs off will see a nice round (or less round!) 7 st weight loss. I am bouncing up and down the same lb at the moment, but I tend to go through these phases pre-miniwhoosh. I feel weirdly bereft though; I dropped my engagement/wedding ring (I only have the one) into the jeweller earlier to be resized and for the first time in 27 years I am without it. Even when it was loose I've worn it on my middle finger. It's a bittersweet NSV.
