I don’t generally count anything, just try to eat healthier foods, but I do find counting calories occasionally does rein in my portions. I don’t get much appetite suppression at all. Also, using something like nutracheck occasionally adjusts the numbers of calories I need to keep a deficit as my body loses weight, so that’s good too.

Im about to start my second to last pen, despite having 1.5 - 2 stones left to lose. I don’t get a lot of effect from MJ and the higher pens are so expensive, so I’m going to attempt the last bit on my own (😱). I do also have a 2.5 pen I can use to ease myself off it for a further month. I’m a bit nervous but also excited. It will be a year once I stop.

Like you, I'm on my exit strategy now to take me up to one year and then done.

I've got 8 weeks of 5mg and 4 weeks of 2.5mg left, with 1.5 stone to lose. Like you, anything I don't lose using mounjaro I will take on myself.

We can do this!

I don't count anything now because I know pretty much how many calories are in the foods I eat. I'll have to start again once I stop the injections, just to hold myself to account.

That’s nice to know someone is in the same boat. Happy to buddy up and support too. I’m still planning to be on this and the May thread anyway.

I'm still here and will be for quite some time! My switch to WeGovy hasn't gone great, at the start the appetite supression was WAY more than Mounjaro but as I've been on a few weeks I've had to up itp from 1mg to 1.7mg and I have constant food noise again. Very frustrating. Not gained weight, but stalled at the same weight for over 4 weeks now.

I really cannot afford Mounjaro, but also the WeGovy is a false economy if it's not working for me. Really don't know what to do. Well I do... I need to stop stuffing my face and get back on the water and protein intake, but having a sulk that the Monj made that easy but its emotional turmoil on WeGovy lol!

On another note, went away on a girls trip to Paris/Disney last weekend. Something I wouldnt have been able to do this time last year. I wouldnt have had the stamina for all the walking and I didn't have to pretend I don't like rollercoasters (I love them but I've always been worried about fitting, not a worry this time). No angst about if I would need a seatbelt extender on the plane.

Also, we had a 12kg limit on hand luggage which as I was dragging around the airport made me think my gosh, I was carrying TWO of these suitcases on my body this time last year, how on earth did I cope?

Anyway onwards and upwards (or should I say downwards)

SW: 132kg
CW: 111kg
GW: 85kg

That must be so frustrating! But well done on your trip! We must focus on these wins and the overall picture. What’s wegovy like for increasing doses? Do you have to wait 4 weeks like Monj?

I am also in a stall. 3wks now, and I even increased doses that time! We break up for Easter today so I’d hoped to be in a better place before letting myself enjoy a few treats.

Sogfree · 27/03/2026 06:43

It's those moments that make it real, isn't it @flameprincess ?

You were carrying 2 suitcases all day, every day, on your body. Astounding, isn't it? Well done you on all that weight loss.

I'm so very nearly at goal weight. I'm short, I'm mixed race, so waiting for the scales to just kick under 9stone, then I'll be in a good place to maintain.

I love the fact the jabs have made me go off chocolate, so this is the first Easter I'm really not fussed about watching what I eat. The temptation has disappeared. Such a weird feeling!

Crinklecat · 28/03/2026 10:50

I agree everytime I carry a 15kg bag dog food to the car I think I was carrying 2 of these around before, insane! No wonder I was so tired (although still tired but less)

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 28/03/2026 14:49

I use our most sturdy cat as a unit of measurement - I've lost almost 6 of him!

I'm just over one pound off losing 5 stone and ~one third of my body weight.

maddiemookins16mum · 28/03/2026 17:08

This time last year I was about to go on a long weekend with some friends. I weighed 13 stone 12 and wore a size 18.

Today I weighed 9 stone 8. I purchased a pair of size 10 jeans today (albeit stretchy ones). I have one 15 mg pen left then I’m working back down the doses.

It’s frightening, isn’t it. I’ve lost almost four times what my little dog weighs. She’s getting elderly and I’ve had to carry her on walks now and again. I get really tired of lugging her very quickly. Yet I’d been lugging much more weight around for years!

Bloozie · 31/03/2026 00:50

Christ. I've lost 2 x 20kg suitcases plus some hand luggage...

NSV - I apply body lotion after every shower, whatever is on offer. Haven't used Palmers in a while, but that's what I'm on now. I've been applying it like, have they changed the formulation? I don't need to use as much.

No. NO. There is just much less of me... :-)

Crinklecat · 31/03/2026 08:27

@Bloozie wow that’s amazing! You must feel so much better

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 31/03/2026 08:46

@Bloozie imagine how much petrol you are saving!!

DD made some space in her wardrobe yesterday and I managed to put aside some of the S sized stuff. I'm never going to be a 8-10 but there was a few 10s with elastic waist that might fit at some point. Her horrified face was worth all the chia seeds in the world 😀

Ah, Chia... IN EVERYTHING. Including the gaps between your teeth.

"There's frog spawn in the sink! Why is there frog spawn in the sink???"

Gingercar · 31/03/2026 23:01

😂 frog spawn in the sink!
I do get thoroughly sick of it stuck in my teeth. There’s always one bit that I seem to miss with the toothbrush that bugs me all morning.

fancytoes · 03/04/2026 12:36

This is all so brilliant to hear people losing cumbersome suitcases of weight! Well done you lot!

I started a recent thread specifically about one but thought I’d add some NSVs here:

No chafing! Am on a hot sweaty exotic holiday and this is a game changer! My thighs would chafe within seconds in the humidity and wet cossies. I mean, I certainly don’t have a thigh gap, though!

But the recent one is allowing pictures to be taken and then not wincing at the result. This one make me quite emotional, actually. Finally there are some pictures of me and the kids!

I’ve just discovered milled flax seed and chia seeds on Greek yoghurt with a freshly chopped down coconut from our garden. So I shall pay through the nose for fresh coconut and continue that at home, it fills you up so much (and, er, has other useful benefits….!)

80kg to 56ish since June 2025.

Sogfree · 03/04/2026 13:05

Decided to have a wardrobe clear out over the bank holiday. All my clothes are too big.

There's a small part of me that thinks I should keep the clothes in case I go back up in weight again. What have you all done with your too big clothing?

My mum and sister had a look through everything and took what they wanted - it feels so strange being in a position to give them clothes that are too big for me instead of too small things that I’d given up hope of ever wearing again!

I sent some of the higher end and barely worn things to Thrift+ for them to sell (they split the proceeds with me if anything sells). Haven’t seen any money back from it yet but I was at the point of just being happy it was gone so I won’t be upset if I don’t make any money from it.

The majority of the rest has been donated - some went to Oxfam, some in the local clothes bank donation bins, bras in a Cancer Research donation bin and a good few bags went to a charity that provides interview outfits for vulnerable women wanting to get into work. The charity especially needed things that were size 14+ so it felt great knowing that the clothes were really going to be appreciated.

Finally, the really tired stuff went into fabric recycling.

Get rid! It took me ages to get my head round it. Just incase etc. it was very cathartic.

Vinted if you can be bothered with the admin, you’ll be surprised at how much you can make.

Agree with lots of these.
I walked the dogs in leggings the other night and noticed my thighs weren’t touching! I’d never have worn leggings in public previously. And my neoprene wellies that were tight now flap. Plus my winter coat for mucking the horses out hangs off me, whereas last year I had to unzip the coat a bit at the bottom because it was so tight around my hips/arse. I can’t quite believe that mid, it’s so baggy.
And ditto to photos. I barely have any before pics because I hated photos so much.

ihavetocookagain · 03/04/2026 19:26

My update is I’ve plateaued on purpose really due to hair loss. On 6.25mg and have stayed relatively at the same weight for 3 months. Am happy with my weight as is- it’s not in the normal range, I’d have to loose another stone to get into that. Currently sat here in my size 14 jeans, with my son’s old M branded (I don’t do brands!) hoody he’s grown out of. I have 3 old branded T-shirts of his I have put into my wardrobe for if I ever get round to joining a gym. I was going to be joining this month but with fuel prices and shortages… The irony of using a car to get to the gym is not lost on me, so we’ll see how we go!
I am hanging onto my size 16’s just in case but got rid of my size 18/20 clothes to charity. Cannot get on with Vinted.
I am bloody freezing all the time though, my whale blubber has gone and I have to wear layers to keep warm. I was cold before I lost weight, it’s worse now- am wearing woolly tights under jeans, 2 jumpers instead of 1 plus T-shirt etc and still have blankets on me when I sit down! Having been on 6.25mg for so long, my cravings are coming back, so may up it slightly soon. Also, recently, I keep forgetting to take it on the right day which is either dementia or menopause!!! Oh and my thighs still chafe! Glad everyone is doing well on it.

MissMogs · 03/04/2026 20:58

These are all so great to hear!! My NSV is I went shopping today and bought some 14s and even a (very loose fitting) cardigan in a 12. I haven’t been below a 16 since the noughties! 😂 I still have a lot to lose so don’t want to buy too much yet - and can’t afford to…just enough to get me through Spring. My summer dresses are all 20s so I will need to buy more soon.
I’m not going to get rid of bigger clothes. It’s a financial decision more than anything. I’d love it if the weight stayed off but history tells me I end up getting fat, so I need the insurance. It would be doubly depressing if I put it all back on and then had to spend loads of money on huge clothes! I’ve stored boxes of smaller ones for years so it’s no different storing the larger ones.

MissMogs · 03/04/2026 21:01

The loose skin is real though. Changing room lighting and mirrors are so unforgiving. I’m still in disbelief that these tiny-looking clothes actually get over me, and I look so much better in them, but when I take them off it’s not pretty…

Mine is not too bad on the extremities but the stomach is not great (and never has been) but my armpit skin is saggy, whilst weirdly, the alupper arms are OK. So strappy tops look fine until I raise my arm and it’s all in the armpit!

Sigh…

I wish mine was as well hidden. It’s the bingo wings area that’s worst, and there’s old stretch mark grooves/scarring so I don’t think it’ll improve unfortunately. I also noticed more loose skin just above my elbow! Upper inner thighs too. Stomach isn’t as bad as expected, but it’s where I am still holding a lot of weight so probably only a matter of time…
