Well done @healthjourney and @HappyWineDay 👏👏👏
I’m still a way off but plodding on. Everything seemed to slow down and I was only losing about 0.4kg/week on 12.5mg. I didn’t want to rush up to 15mg with still 15-20kg to lose, so last week I added 3 extra clicks. A better loss this week but the sugar cravings have returned on day 6 already, so I decided to jab a day early and increase to 5 extra clicks. I go on holiday in August and would love to be able to buy some new clothes and a swimming costume in a size I’m happy with. I’ve been avoiding buying much other than some new jeans and underwear because I know I still have a way to go, but the change of seasons will be challenging as all my warm weather clothes are size 20+ and I’m now 16 (but hoping to get to a 12). I can’t afford to waste money and I’m such an odd shape (short and curvy) I don’t trust buying things on Vinted. It’s hard enough finding stuff to fit when I can try lots of styles and sizes on!
Have to admit I’m flagging a bit on the old motivation. I have been thinking more and more about old eating habits and missing them. I love not being as enormous but my head is messing with me again. I hope the tweaks to my dose will help. Just don’t want to run out of doses to move up by!

HappyWineDay · 28/02/2026 11:59

@MissMogs I found that sticking to a low carb diet really worked for me - cutting out the bread, pasta, rice and potato (and obviously no biscuits, sweets etc). This really helped to minimise hunger pangs and I soon got used to it. If I ate sugar, I craved more. I find it pretty easy to avoid them now, I’ve just got used to it. Although I do occasionally allow myself a roastie with my Sunday dinner! 😂
Have you tried low carb, or are you already doing that?

I haven’t cut out carbs entirely, but breakfast and lunch are carb free usually, and I’m minimising carbs in the evening and eating protein and veg first. I’m def eating lots more protein and other than a rare treat (not even once a week) I’m not having sugary things at all. I wasn’t really thinking about them either for ages. It’s just crept back in recently. That’s why I thought I needed to adjust the dose a bit!

Wow, today I bought size 12 jeans and am 9stone 12. I’ve lost 4 stone.

Hello I'm a 2026 starter and on the other thread but I have a tmi question that some of you have have experienced and would appreciate any feedback .
I started of .25mg of weight , then moved to .5 mg . Took my last one of that on Friday However I have been having diarrhea , once on a walk and made it to my front door but not the loo , and twice in early morning , made it to the loo but not in the loo !
today was at 4.30 am and didn't make the loo again and was shampooing the carpet at 5.15 am after a shower ! (Sorry but full info needed ! )
So if you ever had this , did it go away ? Could you move up mg and get away with it ?
how long did it last ?
I've received my new 1mg pen for Friday but have contacted them to ask about ordering another .5mg for another month instead of moving up but I don't want to have this for the duration .
I also felt faint after all that and had to lie down on the bathroom floor for awhile .

Thanks for reading and apologies for the long ( and graphic ) thread .

Could it be a bug? I am on MJ and this last week had sudden need to go to the toilet like immediately. I also woke up in the middle of the night to also use the toilet - glad I trusted my instinct it wasn’t just a fart! Have been loose for 4 days. I assumed it was something I ate that set me off, but when I thought about it, this whole last week I have felt quite nauseous also. I am on the same dose I’ve been on for a while!

AwayADay · 02/03/2026 09:49

If it was a bug I think it would be throughout the day as well . I've had it twice during the week , not one night after the other .
Yesterday I only ate a soft boiled egg and that was it . I'm drinking water , mint tea , and a couple of electrolytes .

Meant to thank you for your reply . Thank you .

How quickly are you moving up doses @AwayADay ?! If you only started this year but are already moving up, maybe that’s a bit quick and side effects are more extreme. I lost 10kg on 2.5mg alone, which I know won’t work for everyone but illustrating that 2.5mg is an effective dose. There’s also research that suggests moving up too quickly creates tolerance

Also - be really careful not to under eat or not change to a nutrient dense diet. Even being really conscious of this, I had issues with thinning hair and low iron.

I I'mn with Bolt pharmacy . Started on the lowest dose of .25mg then went up to the next one of .50mg . That is what I'm on now . Having taken the last one of that and have the 1mg pen but I'm waiting for them to contact me as I've asked to buy another .50mg instead so I can stay on it for another month .

Focusispower · 02/03/2026 13:56

Yeah I’d definitely not rush up a dose - the aim should be to stay on the lowest dose possible for the longest time possible until you plateau. You could take half doses from the higher dose pen if you continue to store it in the fridge.

I've only lost 4lb this month so maybe have plateaued although have lost some since Friday ( due to the diarrhea )when I put my weight into the app .
I've got at least 5 stone to lose as well .

BMI of 30.5 so close to not being obese! Weight loss here has slowed but so has my effort. 4 stone 8.5lbs down, near initial goal of 5 stone but may go for another

is anyone finding it weird clothes shopping and buying a size knowing it’ll fit rather than having to try on so much and just buying what fits and looks semi good? It’s meaning I have to actually decide what I like rather than choosing. I’m comfortably in 12 tops and 14 bottoms now, feels weird

Yes! I am still only in 16s despite BMI now 28, but I held some up the other day and felt there was no way they’d pull up past mid thigh - yet they fit!

Crinklecat · 05/03/2026 14:53

@MissMogs its a weird feeling isn’t it! I ordered about 10 pairs of trousers from M&S all in 14 as thought I’d only find one or 2 that fit like normal, nope all fitted! So then had to try on again to decide what to keep

MissMogs · 05/03/2026 15:32

@Crinklecatsuch a strange feeling getting to choose clothes you like or might look nice rather than just something that goes round you…

Gingercar · 05/03/2026 17:24

I’m the same. I find it very strange buying clothes and it being so easy! And picking something up that might not have a label on and thinking “oh no, that will be too big” - usually I’m scrambling to find something that I can get on!

I tried a dress on from the year I met my husband (20+ years ago) that I haven’t fitted into since, but kept because it’s gorgeous. It fits! I might even get into my first uniform from when I was cabin crew at this rate!

Crinklecat · 05/03/2026 19:38

Although if you want to be brought back down to earth, go and sit in a hairdressers for an hour 😫

healthjourney · 05/03/2026 19:39

Me too! I am having so much fun buying clothes lately ☺️ and the biggest mindset shift is that even when they dont fit, I'm no longer blaming my body for that. I just see it that it's the clothes that dont fit me or I just dont like the way they fit. It's such a huge positive change for me, I've spent so many years hating my body. It's not at all perfect but I'm happy to accept it and enjoy dressing it

MissMogs · 07/03/2026 22:18

I also have a weird reverse thing re my perception of my own size. I knew I was fat don’t get me wrong, but in my head I think I felt I was only about as fat as I am realistically now. Several people have commented on my weight loss over the past week and I still can’t see it when I look in the mirror. At size 16 and with rolls and an apron belly I’m still very fat. Which makes me wonder (given I’ve lost 5.5 stone - over a third of my start weight!) how bloody massive was I before??

I understand that too. I did it as well. I hated having my photo taken and actively avoided it, which meant there aren’t many before photos, which helped me fool myself, I guess. And I crammed myself into size 18 when I was more of a size 20. Even on these WLI threads at the beginning I would never say my start weight. But I can see it in the mirror now. And it feels like me. And I hope I never go back to anywhere near what I was.

This is interesting about study about maintenance. TikTok for those that don’t want to read it -https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRu6Vthe/. Study for those that do https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1002/oby.70137

basic gist is if you have plateaued you can try taking same dose every 2 weeks and they found that a lot of people continued to lose weight albeit a little slower. This might be beneficial for those that are in maintenance who are worried about the cost.

SAME.

I can objectively see that I look better dressed, but naked I feel exactly the same size. I’m also a size 16 and have the rolls and apron, and my upper thighs are monstrously fat still. I don’t feel any thinner at all.

This very interesting. Ok, so a small group etc etc. What I wanted to know is their dosage and how they transitioned. Add a day at a time between doses for example?

Crinklecat · 12/03/2026 08:59

I’m no longer obese! From starting being morbidly obese at BMI of 42. Less than 2lbs to go until my original target of 5 stone, although think I’m going for 6 now. Ordered another (hopefully final) pen yesterday before they take away the golden dose
