@MissMogs I saw the scales drop every day last week, had one meal out on Saturday and I'm still half a kilo heavier despite choosing sensibly from the menu, not drinking alcohol and eating in deficit as normal since! I was hoping to get closer to pre xmas weight based on last week's success but the weekend seems to have derailed things, praying for a whoosh by the end of the week otherwise I'm very confused on how one meal can have quite the impact🤷‍♀️ Hurrah on the size 16 jeans for you!

And hurrah for @ToddlerMumma 🎉

I got on the scales this morning and I’m delighted to say that I’m back to my pre-Christmas weight.
The trouble is we go on holiday to Spain today - a week of wine and tapas. Oh well…

Well, I only put on 2.5 lb and we ate and drank like pirates! Back on the plan now.

HappyWineDay · 20/01/2026 22:51

@Bloozie you know you need to get on those scales! If you don’t like what you see, it’s your motivator. If it’s a pleasant surprise, then happy days. But you need to know! (I was in the same place post holiday this week, but it had to be done).

@MissMogs I’ve recently replaced a few jumpers. I was always an L or XL and suddenly I find I’m an M. Haven’t been that in living memory!

Focusispower · 20/01/2026 23:03

Clothing sizing is so variable. I struggle because I looK awful in oversized styles and they’re really in still. Being small framed with but with curves somehow makes me look like I’ve just nicked someone else’s clothes. I can’t pull it off at all!

I really need a wardrobe upgrade!

CreepingCrone · 21/01/2026 10:02

Morning all, love reading about everyone's progress! 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I seem to have plateaued since forever, and currently find eating veggies a chore - which isn't great as I am a veggie!
Went for a spa day yesterday and honestly didn't feel self conscious as all. Treated myself to cake for elevenses as well as lunch & dessert, and felt perfectly OK about it. Mainly because I knew it wouldn't be the start of the dreaded spiral into eat-everything!
I wonder if this is what natural thin people feel like?
Anyway, finally seem to have left the plateau which has reinforced my positive mindset.
SW: 16st 6lbs
CW: 12st 6 lbs
GW: 11st 7lbs
Onwards and downwards 🖤

BadgerFace · 21/01/2026 20:20

I thought I was maintaining on 7.5mg with a view to dropping to 5mg next pen and then tapering off to stop before we go on holiday at the end of March and then this morning’s weigh in showed me at 10 stone so I’ve lost post Christmas. Must be the mainly dry Jan! I was surprised as I’m eat more carbs and less protein than I should be at the moment.

D1 W35
SW 12 stone 4
GW 10 stone 6
Aspirational GW 10 stone 2
CW 10 stone 🎉

Yesterday I was hungry and had a long commute ahead of me. I stood in the queue at Ole and Steen for a cinnamon social and thank god the lady in front was being slow as I managed to walk out and not buy one!

Unheard of. I was desperate for it! Forgot about it after a while on the tube and got some sushi at the station to tide me over.

Librariesrule · 22/01/2026 07:37

So just weighed and I have now lost 3st since I started in June. I am so happy 😊
Have a good day everyone

Maryb54 · 22/01/2026 08:42

I am nearing my target weight and relatively happy with progress, although these last few pounds are going slowly. Probably allied to that, I’m starting to space out my jabs. I started last June on Mounjaro 2.5, after a month went up to 5 then, when the price shot up, I watched the Juniper Wegovy vs Mounjaro video. I switched because a)price and b)for the first time they said people with under active thyroids should use Wegovy. So I’ve been on a dose of 1 Wegovy ever since and the weight slow but steady has come off. I’ve lost three stone, 23% of my body weight and my BMI is heading to 22 which is my target.
I first of all jabbed a day late, then two days late and am thinking of continuing to space it out more. This means my last pens will go on for longer as I’m still scared of going cold turkey. Has anyone else done this and is ahead of me? How is it going? Any advice? Any alternatives. My health coach was useless and I don’t trust Juniper to be honest. I may move to getting my last pens from Bolt.
But this forum has been so interesting, thoughtful, helpful and, above all, REAL!

Advice?

RussianDoll76 · 22/01/2026 13:59

Weigh in today ….
sw 13.9 stone
gw 10 stone
cw 10.2 stone

Loss of 3 1/2 stone since June 29th 2025
feeling odd about it. Feel better clothes wise although everything still feels a bit odd . Clothes was wearing 16/18 now 10/12 . I am still overweight at 5ft 2ins should be a stone lighter . My DP asked me today to not lose anymore . I think I have definite weight blindness. 😂. Now like you @Maryb54 I am thinking how to best tackle maintenance. I’m on 7.5mg currently but definitely feel it wearing off on day 5 . Trying to decide if I should lose some more weight in case of weight fluctuations during maintenance. Or should I begin maintenance now . 🤯

MissMogs · 22/01/2026 14:17

Well done @fancytoes! I know that desperation well. You did great walking away!

MissMogs · 22/01/2026 14:19

Still a LONG way off maintenance here - latest loss means I am JUST into overweight BMI rather than obese! (29.9!) Even though, a friend told me last night not to lose any more! (After a grilling of “how I did it” - I didn’t tell her about the jabs) Seriously I am still a size 16-18, it’s not like I’m a stick!!

I’ve not been on for a while so thought I’d give an update of where I am with MJ. I’ve lost just over 3 stone which means I’m now 8st 11. I’d like to get down to 8.7 so am very nearly there - I’m 5ft 2 so could probably easily lose another half stone - but don’t want to look scraggy and I don’t want to take MJ for ever.
I have been titrating down and am currently on 7.5mg (one dose left in my pen I think but I have 2x5mg pens in the fridge) and have been lengthening the time between doses. I now take my dose every 14 days. With my next 2 pens I’ll be doing 5 doses at 5mg and then 10 doses at 2.5mg. I am hoping that any food noise I get will be gradual and workable so that I can completely come off MJ.
whether that works or not who knows but I’m trying to avoid the weight all coming back on. So far having 2 weeks between doses has worked fine for me and yes I know the rationale etc of weekly doses etc and am not advocating that everyone does the same as me, my MJ is always in the fridge and I’m always careful with hygiene and sterile needles for the golden dose. I’ll update if anyone is interested from time to time just to let you know how I’m getting on.

Thank you for this. I too am considering spacing out my jabs in order to try to train myself to do without so I’ll be interested to read more about your experience.

I love this so much! Walking away from a social slice is no small feat, and you have inspired me. And you saved £5!

Crinklecat · 25/01/2026 12:03

I’m the same weight I was a month ago, just gaining and losing the same couple of pounds each day. I’m not unhappy with that as I’ve not been counting calories and eating (and drinking) has slipped. I’ve been on 7.5mg a week but last night after wine I decided to jab a day early (forgetting I’d jabbed a day late last week so actually 2 days early) and upped to 9.5mg. Feeling ok so far so will see. I’ve got a lot going on in the next couple of weeks so was planning on focusing on my weight after that but after ordering a takeaway last night (and having a McDonald’s breakfast!) I decided I wasting too much money on food when that’s been my justification for MJ. I’m still 4 stone down so still chuffed with progress.

im still having allergic reactions at the injection sites, nothing to do with the wipe. Comes up a day or 2 after, red itchy patch about 10p size or bigger. Problem is it stays for weeks so I’m looking a bit polka dot. I rotate sites and makes no difference. Tried antihistamines. Any suggestions?

Crinklecat · 25/01/2026 17:26

Ooh I think I’ve got sulphur burps?! Tastes like fried egg but I’ve eaten no eggs 😳

And hurrah for @ToddlerMumma 🎉

Turns out, my period came! I'm on the pill so don't usually have them but as I had a month off mj and restarted it's obviously messed with the pill and so I had a period (this also happened back in june then they stopped again) so that explains the weird weight gain! It's dropped a bit now and I'm feeling much less bloated so mystery solved 😂

Lush to hear everyone's updates!
I'll be here a long while yet as I'm
a) a slow loser
b) got a lot to lose
and
c)took a break over xmas and put a bit back on 🫣
but I have my mojo back and I'm excited for the year ahead and to see where I'll be 12 months from that first jab, I know it will be significantly lighter and healthier than june 2025 so I'm here for it 🎉

Focusispower · 26/01/2026 14:27

@SomethingAboutYou the only comms I have ever had from my GP practice about MJ was a contraception reminder to say that it disrupts contraception so to use condoms too. Irrelevant for me as I’m not on the pill or coil, but clearly something practice felt was needed to be communicated!

Hope everyone is well. I’m finding maintenance a bit of a battle I think primarily because I started HRT and the bloating is unreal. Managing to stay at GW for now though and have shifted the few extra Christmas pounds. Next step is to increase exercise further. Want to get back to running x2 per week.

GlowGetter · 26/01/2026 14:54

I started on 29th June and I've lost 3 stones in total. I think I still have 4 stones to go. I'm reasonably happy with that although the last stone has taken 3 months but I am being more careful about what I eat again (like at the start) and the weight loss is picking up.
I have just moved up to 7.5mg but after 2 weeks of that I am finding I have slightly too much surpression to fly under the radar at social events so I've dropped back to 6mg this week byu counting the clicks.
Clothes fit much better and I've gone down a bra size. Fallen in love with Vinted!

Hey, haven’t been on here in ages (life got in the way) but I’m in the same boat as you. SW 19st 3, CW 14st 4, still in obese BMI. On 7.5mg and last two months have been very slow as my eating has slipped, with lots more carbs and treats and reduction in water intake. Trying hard this week to get back on it (nutra check is amazing) but still feel a very long way off my goal. But we need to remind ourselves that slow and steady wins the race! x

Thornrose · 31/01/2026 09:34

It's been a while since I read or posted. Great to hear everyone's stories and progress.

I've lost 3 stone now. I'm just about size 12 now which was my ideal l. The last 3 months have been painfully slow loss though.

I would like to lose another half a stone. I'm on 7.5 and some weeks I do an extra 10 clicks.

I find the suppression still really strong. I am slipping back into drinking red wine which repulsed me for a long while, disappointed with that.

It's getting expensive and I'm considering moving onto Wegovy. Has anyone done this or have any positive stories?

maddiemookins16mum · 01/02/2026 10:19

Not posted for a while but…….I’m finally a ‘normal’ BMI. 24.9 this morning. I’ve gone from a BMI of 33 to 24.9. My start weight was 13 stone 12 and today I am 10 stone 5. My goal is 10 stone. I’ve just started my first 12.5 pen. The only side effects have been the odd mild headache and some mild constipation (which raw pineapple sorts 😂). I’m pretty chuffed actually. I’ve not been 10 stone 5 since 1999.

I changed to Wegovy when the price of Mounjaro shot up. Suppression ok but I quite like having to force myself through some hunger pains as I feel it’s helping prepare me for life beyond. My weight loss has slowed and I’m able to eat fairly normally if appropriate but then I have to cut right back to get the pounds off again. My starting BMI was 30. I’m now at 23. I want to get to 22 then ease off but I am anxious about it. I’m spacing my doses out by a few days each time. I was on 5mg of Mounjaro, transferred to 1mg of Wegovy. No side effects and nice not to have the sore and itchy jab site from Mounjaro. I’m 71 by the way. Hope this helps.

RussianDoll76 · 02/02/2026 13:56

Jabbed today. 11th jab of 7.5mg . Fair suppression but food noise is becoming a problem. Wanting snacks and sweet things but no pleasure in eating them when I do give in. Deciding on maintenance or continuing trying to lose has been a battle in my mind for some time lately. I thought I was ready for maintenance but I’m not. I still have just over half a stone to lose to be in the healthy weight category so that’s my aim. I’m going up to 10mg from next week and will stay there until I am at healthy bmi then decide how best to maintain . Titrating down hopefully. I am getting family pressure saying I have lost enough and I’m looking scrawny. I thought losing the weight would be the hard part but maintaining is definitely worrying me. Sorry to post and run ! Lovely to read all your posts and see some old names catching up . 🙂
