@DGonMJmay be worth DH speaking to his provider to see what they suggest? I think I delayed my jab while I got over it from memory. Hope he’s ok.

Also hope you’re ok@Thelittlestranger, enjoy ski clothes buying! Where are you skiing?

Does anyone use my fitness pal to track nutrients? I’m struggling a bit with fibre. Today I’ve had homemade ham, veg and lentil soup, homemade granary sourdough, a kiwi, will have had carrots, Cavolo Nero, green beans and sprouts and it reckons I’ve only had 14g of fibre….

Thelittlestranger · 07/01/2026 17:10

I only ever used it to track protein and cals, but I take a fibre supplement in my kefir every day.

Delighted to have hit bottom of my weight band this morning, so have now decided to see if I can manage to make it on my Renpho scales too. I really need to ditch the old ones, but Renpho make me 2lbs heavier and it depresses me. Looking back at my stats I made it a few months ago, and should have ditched them then!!

Skiing in Avoriaz. Easy to get in and out of, high, ski in/out and lots of snow due over the next few days! Yay!

BlueLimes · 07/01/2026 17:47

Fantastic @Zempy so pleased for you.

Thanks. Maybe I need to look at a fibre supplement, thought I was doing well!
yay, well done on the weight band, great news. Avoriaz will be fab and judging by forecasts you’re not going to have to worry about snow! Looking forward to hearing about it.

@Polkadotdash I’m sorry to have missed your question about a switch from Wegovy back to MJ. When Wegovy wasn’t working at all a while back, I signed up with Juniper and was approved. I didn’t go so far as to order as Wegovy started to work by that point. Hope that helps.

OP posts:
Polkadotdash · 07/01/2026 19:33

@meatyryvita thank you. What dose of Wegovy are you on? I’m on 1.7mg and I’m not getting any suppression.

@hunkydory54 did Pharmulos start you at 2.5mg or was that the equivalent to your Wegovy dose?

Saw the pelvic floor therapist today. I was honest about my lack of exercising. However it turns out that my rib pain is probably being caused by my ribs not contracting after breathing out fully, so I would have struggled to have made much progress on my pelvic floor if my diaphragm isn’t moving properly and my ribs moving back in. I’m basically constantly braced for impact. No wonder all my bones hurt! New set of exercises to do. Must. Try. Harder.

meatyryvita · 07/01/2026 19:38

@Polkadotdash 2.4mg and it’s the only dose that has given me suppression. I did struggle a bit over Christmas, particularly with sweet things but now I’m back at work and in routine, suppression is better (goes to show that despite what some nasty threads say, there is willpower involved!).

OP posts:
hunkydory54 · 07/01/2026 19:59

@Polkadotdash Pharmulous put me back to the lowest dose of MJ to rebuild the levels of MJ up. Wegovy 2.4mg is the equivalent of MJ 10mg and above. When I changed to Wegovy, Boots put me straight onto 2.4mg as I'd been on 10mg MJ. I didn't have a gap at all between stopping MJ and starting Wegovy, whereas Pharmulous said I needed to have a washout of 2 weeks between the two types of WLIs.

I haven't weighed myself since Christmas as I'm still stuck looking after my parents (and slowly going mad) so I don't know how I'm getting on, but judging by my clothes, I think I'm shrinking again.
I hope all that helps

DGonMJ · 07/01/2026 20:50

Congrats @Zempy !!!

@Thelittlestranger hope you didn’t bruise!

Just had my weight verification call this evening. My heaviest weight recorded since June!
I’ll do a morning weigh in either tomorrow or Friday - and see if it’s just clothes and day food. However, if I carry on like this then my 2mg experiment is over and I’m going back up to 2.5mg!

Thelittlestranger · 07/01/2026 22:08

Do you measure your estimated levels on shotsy @DGonMJ ? No bruising thankfully - other than my ego!!

I used to plot on glp1plotter.com although I haven’t since my long stint on 2.5mg since September. Will see where this week ends up on the scales. And maybe start plotting again if I continue to gain. My appetite hasn’t changed, not hungrier than usual, so I’m not eating more. I’m busier at work now so less chance to snack.

2025istheyeari · 08/01/2026 08:08

Lots of chat around this on the news this morning. Only 8 of the 37 studies include MJ and they stress it’s medical studies rather than real life, expect lots of chatter on AIBU threads!! I’m not sure what I think but it’s definitely supporting my view on needing to be in this long term ( or hopefully the polls so they’re cheaper!!)

People coming off weight-loss injections risk fast weight gain

Overweight people shed large amounts on jabs but gain 0.8 kg a month on average once off them, study shows.

Pinch of salt @2025istheyeari imo. The same study quotes an average weight loss of 15kg. I bet that our average weight loss is greater than that.

AIBU is a dreadful place, filtered out for me. Mind you I rarely post other than on this thread. Sometimes on the kids at uni thread but that’s about it.

Yes am thinking the same especially as there are only 8 which include MJ, I think I’m just a bit worried atm, still job hunting, and overthinking everything… Likewise I never look at AIBU, it’s vile.

HeidiLite · 08/01/2026 08:58

I'm happy to be on it for life - also considering all the newer drugs coming out, the pills and once it goes generic, the price should also drop. I have decades of yo yo dieting to demonstrate that I will put the weight back on even when I have lost it by traditional means, so no reason really to think I could keep the current weight this time.

Jins · 08/01/2026 08:59

I can weigh up to 2lbs more in the evening @DGonMJ and you can add clothes to that! See what it’s like in the morning.

I did a big thing yesterday. I bought a couple of pairs of jeans in the charity shop in November (fat face and top shop) and while the legs were ok the waist definitely wasn’t. I tried them on again yesterday and they are close but not there yet. The big thing is that I ignored the internal voice telling me that I’d get into them if I lost about 5lbs and they’ve gone to the Vinted pile. Once upon a time I’d have tried to lose the weight.

I’m still hunting the elusive perfectly fitting bra. Boob or bust suggests a 34C which is ludicrous seeing as the one I’m currently most comfortable in is 40B I do need to drop a band size though so I picked up a 38C before new year which did nothing for my axillary tails of Spence so last night I tried a 38D which would have been perfect if the cups weren’t half empty. Age, weightloss and menopausal deflation have taken their toll and my boobs are definitely bottom heavy.

I think I’m moving to a stage where I dress to suit the shape I am rather than try to emulate the shape I was last time I was slim

HeidiLite · 08/01/2026 09:37

@Jins can you pull the tails into the bra cup? For them to stay in the bra, the band has to be tight though, otherwise they will just escape again.
Bra sizing is funny though, I was wearing 30 back side last January even at my heaviest. My old bras were of course stretched and too tight, and I refused to go up in size, but they were wearable. Now, I have dropped a good 3-4 clothes sizes. I have no more fat on my ribs, even if I lose more weight, my back size won't get any smaller. And I am still in 30 back in Freya or Fantasie! Just wide ribs, it seems.

HeidiLite · 08/01/2026 09:42

in other news, I was just reading this study.
https://share.google/S3qSexcyGZrYZehVg
On all the fearmongering MN threads, you always read how horrible the risks and side effects are. Look at this:

Considering all 5 semaglutide studies together, serious adverse events were more commonly reported in participants taking semaglutide relative to a placebo (9.5% vs. 6.7%), including gallstones (3.0% in semaglutide group vs. 1.2% in placebo group). Cardiovascular adverse events were less frequently reported in the semaglutide group (8.9%) compared to the placebo group (12.5%). There were no differences in the frequency of hepatic disorders, pancreatitis, hypoglycaemia, acute renal failure, malignant neoplasms, psychiatric disorders, and allergic and injection site reactions reported between participants taking semaglutide and participants taking a placebo. Results for tirzepatide were similar

Jins · 08/01/2026 10:00

I have tried many times @HeidiLite but they have a life of their own. 😀. It’s not just the tails really, since turning 60 my body has changed a lot and it’s not just related to weightloss. My mother stayed the same size throughout her life, she was never even plump and in her post 60 years she had the sort of slumping that I’m seeing now. I’m obviously going to carry on with my exercise because my aim is to have a strong healthy body and try not to get hung up on aesthetics.

The gallstones issue in those reports is something or nothing. I had my gallbladder out 20 years ago. My gallstone attacks coincided with significant weightloss with no drugs involved at all. My surgeon was fascinating to talk to, he said it was very common after weightloss but that the stones don’t form overnight and he saw them most often in people who had a carb heavy low fat diet. He was definitely a fan of lowering carbs and increasing healthy fats to get the gall bladder working and flushing stones out before they became a problem. Complete conflict with the NHS guidance at the time but incredibly interesting view point.

I’m resigned to paying for MJ for the rest of my life as well. I’m just hoping to be able to manage on 2.5mg until the generic versions are out.

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 08/01/2026 12:28

I am hoping that my decision to stop MJ dead isn't a stupid one but I want to try (mood related more than anything). I've never yo-yo'd and could pinpont my weight gain to something .... but I could be very wrong, we shall see.

I'm 5lb to goal and nutracheck tells me I will achieve it 2 days after my 1 year anniversary fingers crossed.

I do feel like a big 💩would help me out this week, sorry folks but it would. I read somewhere else how Magnesium Citrate before bed works very well so I tried it last night with a huge glass of water, no progress at all. 😑

meatyryvita · 08/01/2026 13:41

Afternoon losers!

@Jins same on the boobs front - I'm 50 this year and I have definitely lost a lot of volume and shape since losing weight and they are getting bottom heavy (or 'vinegar tits' as we used to call them!). I haven't been to get measured because I'm too lazy but I appear to have gone from a 38FF to a 34E thus far but then I struggle to fill the E but bust out of the D (would that be DD then? No clue!).

@HeidiLite 30 is so small!

I've also been reading the reports about WLIs and the weight going back on and all I could think was, "duh!" - we all know this! We know that you stop any regimen, the chances are that the weight is going back on sooner or later. I too expect to be on them for life and that's fine by me.

Weigh in for me today and I have lost .7lbs of the 1.6lbs that went on over Christmas which I'm happy with - I've definitely had better suppression this week (or perhaps it's willpower?) as I'm back at work and in a routine, so I'm not sitting around staring at pannettone. I reckon I'll be back to 10st 9 or so this time next week. I definitely let my protein and water focus slide during the Christmas break, My Fitness Pal was laying out how pathetic my intake was over the period and so I knew to expect to put a bit on but then, that's somewhat natural at Christmas.Years gone by, goodness knows how much I would have piled on each time.

Anyway, have a lovely day and ignore the AIBU vipers!

Same issue here @Jinsand @meatyryvita, I had mine measured in August and haven’t lost much since then but definite vinegar tits going on here, never heard that expression but 😂. I need to get them remeasured I think….

My Jigsaw leather trousers arrived today. Ordered a 10 and 12, 10 won’t even do up but I got a pair of 10 cords from Whistles last week that were perfect . 12 aren’t exactly loose either, bit sick of the random sizing to be honest, how are you supposed to know what size to get! Anyway I love them. Just need to try on with some boots to check not too short and I’m keeping them! Succumbed to a me + em order and a John Lewis order which are due to arrive today and tomorrow and need to send what I don’t want back quick smart. I know it’s not very environmentally friendly but what are you supposed to do when sizing so weird!

Thanks for all the comments on the article, I do agree, any ‘diet’ is the same, if you go back to where you were and don’t have sustainable habits, it goes back on. I should know! I think as I said when I read it I was in the wrong headspace and panicked!

@PenelopesProteinPackedPartythat’s fab, so close now! Coming off sounds like it’s right for you and worst case if you start putting back on you know you have MJ. I’ve yo yod all my life so definitely need this to keep me here.

I’m 2 1/2 pounds down now, so back at 10 11, I’m just going to see how I go over the next few weeks I think before I settle on where I want to be.

HeidiLite · 08/01/2026 15:08

@meatyryvita yes there is DD between, try that.

I'm 30DD or E in some models, barely there. After a lifetime of huge boob issues, frankly thrilled. I can wear high street sports bras! Dresses without going up 2 sizes on account of the G-cups. Brilliant.

I wish I could be confident I can keep my current weight - honestly I feel so good. I actually like how I look. But I have dieted myself to slim size many times, managed to maintain for a while, but then weight starts creeping up again. A couple of times due to pregnancy, also due to thyroid disease, but sometimes also just due to general life stress.

Thelittlestranger · 08/01/2026 16:47

Every other time I've lost weight I've never really hit 'goal' it's always been that I've lost a lot and then just stopped. This time, I've hit where I'm happy with my body and I do wonder if that makes a difference - because I find that maintaining is easier than losing, but if I was always still trying to lose mor before, then the feeling of failure when I didn't was enough to give up. It all makes sense to me!!

Currently a 32F, from a 36G. And part of the vinegar tits crew. These babies have worked hard for 3 kids, and quite frankly I'm delighted they are no longer the lusty, busty things that used to draw so much attention.

Zempy · 08/01/2026 18:51

My 15mg pen arrived today. A day late but it’s so bloody cold I am sure it is fine.

I am just relieved Oushk let me have it tbh. I will continue to dose 7.5 from the 15mg but might try dropping steadily towards 5mg if I can maintain on slightly less.
