Agree @PolkadotdashI’d just be honest as well I think, hope they can sort out your rib problems.

I bought the trousers @BlueLimes!! Had to order 2 sizes as per previous cut, no idea which I am! Hoping they’re a decent length as not full length and I have long legs so they may both go back!

2 pounds down today, amazing how quickly it goes when you’re back and focussed. I’m feeling quite nauseous today and exhausted, so have come back to bed. DH feeling similar so don’t think it’s jab related. We’ve avoided any lurgies so hopefully this will bugger off as soon as it arrived!

HeidiLite · 06/01/2026 09:19

i've had a CT scan so there should not be too many surprises. However, they also found a dental cyst under an impacted wisdom tooth that needs to be fixed at the same time, so should be a ton of fun.

Now dental cysts I would be wanting to get sorted @HeidiLite.

I’m back at my lowest weight since starting MJ so Xmas gains could well be a thing of the past. For years I’ve been depressed when looking at the scales in early January. If only this drug had been available while my skin had a bit of recovery potential. I cleaned my teeth this morning with a heavy towel wrapped around my hair - it took years off me. I really have developed some wrinkles this year but it’s still an improvement on the round moon face that used to stare back at me.

I’m back in bed with a coffee. No motivation at all today. Will force myself back up in ten minutes

HeidiLite · 06/01/2026 09:45

I'm definitely having a facelift at some point.

DGonMJ · 06/01/2026 20:15

Tips for managing bloating, diarrhoea and sulphur burps? DH is suffering in week 2. I’ve suggested Gaviscon for the burps and bloating. Wasn’t sure if he just needs to ride out the 💩

I was so paranoid about side effects this time last year that I ate extremely clean, small portions, tracked macros and calories. Which he’s not doing, he’s just eating smaller portions of our regular food (balanced but not fat/spice free). A lean pork and veg stir fry has set him off this week vs no reaction to nachos covered in melted cheese and salami last week.

meatyryvita · 06/01/2026 20:28

@DGonMJ sorry to hear it! How about peppermint tea? It really does seem to calm most ailments down in my experience. Hope he feels better soon x

2025istheyeari · 06/01/2026 20:43

Oh no @DGonMJ, second peppermint tea or peppermint oil capsules, also pepto bismo for symptoms. Hope he’s ok. I remember it well😳

BlueLimes · 06/01/2026 21:21

@2025istheyeari hope you love the trousers and glad 2ib is gone.
big yay to @Jins too
interesting @HeidiLite I’ve noticed my forward takes a few second to uncrinckle (is that a word) if frown. Seems to be a new thing (fabulous).
@DGonMJ yes peppermint tea

BlueLimes · 06/01/2026 21:31

*forehead

DGonMJ · 06/01/2026 21:35

Thank you ladies! He has been refusing peppermint tea up until now (the man only drinks coffee), but I think the prospect of another sleepless night spent on the toilet has convinced him to give it a go. Fingers crossed.
Will put pepto b on the shopping list for tomorrow.

Interesting article in the Guardian this morning about the WLI pill - doses going up to 4mg (current max is 2.4mg IIRC): www.theguardian.com/business/2026/jan/05/novo-nordisk-launches-wegovy-weight-loss-pill-us-price-war

Thanks for sharing @meatyryvita I wonder how long till it’s available here. I hope they also set the UK price much cheaper than the injections, would make it so much more accessible for all those who would benefit.
For a daily pill I wonder how much of it stays in your system…if you had terrible side effects you could just not take it the next day? I also wonder if people would be able to take a high strength pill every 2-3 days. Will be very interesting to watch the US subreddits on this.

Sorry @meatyryvitai hadn’t read back this far, I think this is all so exciting, wonder where the MJ equivalent is in terms of development/ approval. The price point could make a huge difference to people 🤞🏻and I’m watching with interest, thanks for sharing.

Well done @Jins, that’s amazing!

Trousers not arrived yet @BlueLimes, I’m keeping fingers crossed, also ordered an All Saints dress today, think I need to calm my jets! Did sell some unwanted advent perfume and creams on Vinted though!

I’ve been reading another thread about MJ faces, taking it with a pinch of salt but have been amusing myself taking selfies from different angles and I’m definitely more wrinkly and jowly than I was, not ideal but I’ll take the health benefits of losing a ton of weight I think!

hunkydory54 · 06/01/2026 22:01

@Polkadotdash I think it was you who asked, I changed back to MJ with Pharmulous. I finished my Wegovy pen and then had to go 2 weeks without to washout which wasn’t too painful and then Pharmulous have started me on a 2.5mg MJ then I’m increasing the dose each time I need a new pen. It all seems to be going ok so far and they’re very reasonable on price too. They use Royal Mail and DPD for delivery and you can specify a delivery day.

HeidiLite · 07/01/2026 06:00

@2025istheyeari yes my face has many folds now when I smile. But I have just one chin. Certainly much better than the previous plump moon face.

HeidiLite · 07/01/2026 08:35

also, signing up with that other gym was a great decision. 8 min door to door vs 30 min one way makes such a massive difference. So easy to just drop by whenever I have an hour.

Zempy · 07/01/2026 09:07

I started MJ 8 Jan last year so have completed my 12 months.

SW. 13:7
CW. 8:4

I am now wearing size 6/8 jeans/trousers/skirts and size 10 tops. I still have 32G boobs to contend with but no arse.

I am 5 ft 4 and sixty years old. I haven’t been this weight since I was in my prime in my late twenties.

Aside from some traumatic poos and being The Coldest Person Alive, I haven’t really suffered from much in terms of side effects. No sulphur burps or feeling down. Some light headedness and the odd headache when increasing my dose.

I just need to manage staying on it now. There is no way my body will maintain this weight left to its own devices. My hormonal balance is “shot to pieces” according to my endocrinologist. He said he wished he could prescribe MJ to all his patients with my starting symptoms. Which reminds me, cholesterol levels reduced from 8.75 to 3.25.

I just want to say a GIGANTIC thank you to everyone on this thread who has been an online friend and support to me over this incredible year. 💐

HeidiLite · 07/01/2026 09:10

That is so lovely to read, @Zempy So happy for you!

2025istheyeari · 07/01/2026 09:20

Wow, amazing stats @Zempy, well done, what a transformation, you must be so pleased!! Life changing for sure!!

DGonMJ · 07/01/2026 09:22

Well planned @HeidiLite

re: faces. I’m trying really hard to not go down the tweakments route until it’s been at least a year (possibly two) of my skin settling. I also hope that I get used to my ‘older’ face. However, never say never. I turn 50 in 2028, so if I’m still feeling self conscious about it, I may treat myself to a freshen up for my birthday. In the meantime I’m spending more than I ever have on skincare.

DH still suffering, but he managed to sleep till 4am vs yesterday’s 3am. This means I managed to sleep till 4am when I was woken by the echoing noises from the en-suite 😖
Have suggested he fast for as long as possible and drink water with electrolytes.
For those who suffered with diarrhoea for more than 24-48 hours, did you skip the next dose or lower it? Or soldier through? He’s only on week 2 of 2.5mg. Wondering if he should maybe go down to 2mg?

Too knackered to get on the peloton this morning, thinking I could get 20mins more sleep and then walk to the station but pavements are too icy and DS1 who left ahead of me told me he’d seen several people fall over. So got a lift.

Jins · 07/01/2026 09:28

Fabulous @Zempy what a year you’ve had!

Thelittlestranger · 07/01/2026 12:05

Fabulous @Zempy !!

I fell A over T on the patio this morning. Im hoping it's now gone, as about to tackle a run...

New challenge - going skiing next week and none of my outfits fit. So now shopping for a new one.

Zempy · 07/01/2026 12:37

Most importantly @Thelittlestranger did anyone witness this incident? The mortification of being seen always hurts more than any injuries I find.

HeidiLite · 07/01/2026 13:29

@Thelittlestranger ah how many times I've used that expression, that nothing fits.
For majority of my life, it meant things were too small though.

Thelittlestranger · 07/01/2026 14:55

My husband heard me squeal and leant out the window to check I was ok - but no-one else thankfully!!

@HeidiLite it is nice to have it the other way round...
