Update on Oushk, had a lovely lady call me, she was shocked that I’d been told I’d need to pay cancellation. All
sorted, on taper plan and last weeks panic order cancelled at no fee! Im
waiting to see how I get on after the remainder in this 7.5 and the next and moving onto 5. It’s a standard £25 off pens for maintenance and as long as I take a photo of then pen she said it shouldn’t be an issue spacing orders. She’s made a note that I have a few pens. Phew!
Like you @JinsI’m spacing my doses out, currently 7.5mg 10 or so days apart.
Price increases have definitely made a huge difference so I’m hoping I can get back to 2.5mg spaced out by April.

Glad you had a lovely day @MJalltheway. I’m also 22.3 BMI and despite the small belly and flabby arms, which I hope will go when I get into weights, I’m very happy.

Enjoy the party @HeidiLite!

myladyjane · 28/11/2025 15:53

@2025istheyeari I have used both iq dr and pharmulous. Hated iq dr though not sure why exactly. Just all round slightly off service. Pharmulous have been good. They don’t seem to do codes so I think seem more expensive but are typically just above the cheapest and no postage. The 12.5 price I paid is £30 quid cheaper than the one quoted below for example

myladyjane · 28/11/2025 18:52

Oh god - did my 5th dose with a syringe and it sort of exploded! Luckily I had a lot of spare but that also went rather weird. I did it anyway but I think I’ve either done not enough and will eat myself to death or too much and will shit myself to death. Either way death seems likely so nice knowing you……

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 28/11/2025 19:01

@myladyjane 😬oh no, how did that happen?

I learned something today - I was aiming for 45 clicks from a 10mg pen but I lost count, did you know that you can turn the pen dial the other way and go back to zero and start counting again? I didn't.

Zempy · 29/11/2025 07:32

I hope you survived the night @myladyjane?

Weighed in after a week with no scales and I have lost a pound somehow. Despite eating biscuits and cake I am 8:4.

This puts me in a good position going into the festive season.

Have a great weekend Losers.

2025istheyeari · 29/11/2025 07:54

Yes I hope you are still with us @myladyjane. Thanks for the Pharmulous info, will reassess when I order. I’m hoping to only need a pen every 6 weeks or so, although I need to get better at extracting the dose, I always have the issues you had this time!!

@Zempythats brilliant, amazing to be going into this time of year knowing we look and feel so much better than last year isn’t it!!

Happy Bicester Village shopping @BlueLimes. Off to Oxford for some early festive fun here, hopefully not get too wet; it’s horrible!!

have a lovely weekend losers!

Jins · 29/11/2025 08:23

Morning all!

It’s all a bit glum chez jins as my brother’s blood test results are pointing to what we expected in a man that started smoking at 13 CT on Tuesday and I’ve offered to give him a lift. He’ll get the results on the anniversary of Mum’s death so there’s another reason to think that Xmas can get in the bin.

No heating or hot water here at the moment as DH switched the boiler off to fit a new radiator yesterday then ran out of time to actually plumb it in before going out. This is not unusual when DIY happens, project planning isn’t his speciality. We’re a step forward as I bought the paint! Dulux polished pebble for the bulk of the walls and I’ll decide on the feature wall (not a full wall, just the space in between units where the table goes) when I see the overall effect in various lights. Currently thinking of sage green but haven’t found one yet.

It’s not all doom and gloom as we’re meeting some very good friends tonight for a few drinks and a ghost walk. They never fail to make an evening joyous and full of laughter which is just what we all need from friends really.

Have a great weekend all and enjoy your various expeditions.

myladyjane · 29/11/2025 08:58

@Jins sorry to hear re your brother. I am pleased you have a good night to look forward to.

i made it through the night thankfully which must be a relief all round. I do feel a bit burpy and woke up once with my heart racing after a really vivid dream so that does point to ‘too much’ but serves me right.

i also appear to accidentally have short hair. Usually it’s bob length but I was just chatting away and nodded when she gestured a length. I also had a big funnel neck jumper on. Only when I got home and in fact was washing my face before bed did I realise it’s now a long pixie. Oh well….

Jins · 29/11/2025 09:29

The one thing about hair @myladyjane is that a few weeks will sort any haircut issues out. I love the sound of a long pixie actually. Especially at this time of year for some strange reason. My hair is driving me crazy at the moment as I have a huge amount of regrowth from my summer/MJ moult which is good but it’s making my fringe stick out in strange directions and there’s fly out fuzziness elsewhere. I’ve resorted to a ponytail and hairspray to try to tame it but I’ll probably end up cutting it shorter and putting some layers in the front.

DH is working this morning so I’m staying in bed as it’s actually a bit chilly in the house but he has dug out the old oil filled radiator we had as the old boiler used to break down whenever the outside temperature dropped below 10°. He has also reminded me that we have an immersion heater which I’d forgotten about as we’ve not had that luxury for 20 years. So at least I’ll be able to have a warm shower when I finally make a move

BlueLimes · 29/11/2025 09:34

Sorry to hear about your brother @Jins yiire so nice, I’d have done a lot of muttering at my DH re heating.
Glad you made it through the night @myladyjane and hope you like your hair.

@2025istheyeari arrived at 8- busy then! Enjoy Oxford 😊

DGonMJ · 29/11/2025 10:18

Morning all! I have woken up early with that special feeling of tired, dizzy and craving toast that I know is pre-menstrual. Last night I sent DH out for a bar of chocolate, first time this year.

@Jinsso sorry to hear about your brother, and the awful timing of the results.

@PenelopesProteinPackedParty that is helpful to know on the winding back the clicker on the pen. I’m getting 2.5 out of a 5mg pen at the moment, so have marked where it is on the clicker.

@2025istheyeari and @BlueLimes enjoy your festive outings this weekend.

@myladyjane glad you survived the syringe explosion. Air bubble? Bent needle?

@Zempy excellent job on the maintenance while eating biscuits and cake. I had this over the summer and realised I needed to reduce my dose as I was losing more than I wanted (while eating everything I wanted).

It’s been 3 months of true maintaining for me. Even though I hit goal end of May, and started titrating down. I continued to lose through to end of August. But now I’m happy that I’ve never gone below 57kg (which is where I got to end of Aug) and never gone above 60kg.
I’d like to increase strength training a bit more, I cut back recently as I’ve been so tired in the mornings and work has ramped up. But I managed to squeeze a 20mins beginners class in mid week for the first time in a couple of months. Just three sets of split squats, rows, push ups, hip raises. Had a sore neck the next day likely from poor form on the rows. I probably need to do this in front of a proper mirror, currently using my reflection in the switched off tv.

The plan this weekend is to clean the house and put the tree up. Inspect all Xmas present deliveries. And figure out a new present for 13yo DS, who has decided he doesn’t want a Nintendo Switch 2. He is literally the opposite of his older brother.

MJalltheway · 29/11/2025 11:24

Morning all, have had to download the app because the website is being really weird and has lost the comment window and bookmarks.
Done this morning's workout and have now completed the 8th month of committing to working out at least 5 times a week every week 💪 Feels like a really solid habit now!

Me and DH are off to a spa this afternoon for a very much-needed bit of time to ourselves, really looking forward to it.

No Christmas decorations here yet - too early! We might do them next weekend which still feels horribly early to me but is the most practical in terms of free time.

@Jinsso sorry to hear the news about your brother, I'll keep everything crossed for the results of the CT. ♥️ Enjoy your evening out

Polkadotdash · 29/11/2025 11:28

@Jins sorry to hear that your brother’s prognosis isn’t looking good. It’s such a worry. I’ve got a close friend having open heart surgery on Monday and my cousin’s husband having it the week after. It’s all doom and gloom as we are getting older.

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 29/11/2025 11:34

Morning everyone. Same here re website @MJalltheway - unusable and I find the app tedious to use as I don't use my phone a great deal.

Very sorry to hear about your brother too @Jins. 😑re unfinished DIY and no heating!

@myladyjane 😅pleased you are still with us.

We might put the tree up tomorrow evening as well, we're all at home this weekend and are away quite a bit in December. Traditionally we watch one of three musicals, sometimes all three depending on what time of day we start and have festive snacks/a picnic while doing it. We all have a glass of sherry which none of us like 😂, but it is the rule of the law here. DS insists on the sherry (will have a sip) despite declaring it vile every year. I must add a bottle to my shopping.

HeidiLite · 29/11/2025 12:31

@MJalltheway what a workout achievement! Enjoy the well deserved spa break.
@Jins sorry about your brother, there are of course a lot if things they can do nowadays.
@DGonMJ my 12yo got Meta Quest for his birthday, he still plays with it daily - and it's active, no sitting on the backside. Maybe that would be an option?
I'm strugging with his presents as well, differing fron DD who gave me a long detailled list, he says he doesn't know. Will book the trip to observatory he asked for but other than that, no idea.

Went to gym and did a BodyAttack class this morning, now DD has a basketball match and then planning to just potter around. Business trip tomorrow again, might be able to squeeze a few hours of shopping in as well when I land.

Zempy · 29/11/2025 14:25

Very sorry to hear about your brother @Jins. 💐

Aimingdown · 30/11/2025 00:08

So sorry to hear about your brother @jins. Sending hugs

2025istheyeari · 30/11/2025 07:17

Sorry to hear about your brother @Jins, will be thinking of you this week.

BreezyPeer · 30/11/2025 09:19

Good morning 🙏 losers! Xxx

Jins · 30/11/2025 09:23

Thanks so much you wonderful bunch of losers. Your messages have been much appreciated. My brother seems to be handling it all pretty well which I’m a bit surprised by to be honest but his spirits lifted 18 months ago when his daughter turned 18 and moved in with him. She’s a great girl, very sensible and capable and just what he needs. He wants to go to the scan alone.

The ghost tour yesterday was outstanding if a little chilly. The guide was amazing, really engaging and full of information. It was an absolute bargain at £10 a head (£9 for DH and I as over 60 which I’m bloody loving) so if you visit Chester I really recommend it. It’s always odd having a tour on your home ground but as a local I have to say that he took us on a route that picked up all the ground level highlights that are often missed.

Seeing our friends was just what I needed. Told them what was going on and they said what people usually say at times like this and moved straight on to normal conversation. Perfect!

Paint went on the wall yesterday and new skirting boards are being cut as I type. Hopefully this means that the fridge can return to its usual place. Having an American style fridge freezer in the middle of the kitchen for over 3 weeks has begun to grate. Radiator fixings are complete so things are moving. I did hear him say that he’s hoping we’ll have the heating back on by next weekend so I put him straight.

Once again losers you have been amazing and I really appreciate it.

PenelopesProteinPackedParty · 30/11/2025 09:35

Morning everyone. Pleased you had a nice time with your friends @Jins. I agree that a bit of normality always helps. Err, no @Jins DH ⛔️. It was below freezing here this morning.

Pleased to report another 1lb off this morning, that is 6lbs in November which doesn’t seem too bad.

I really enjoyed the food I cooked yesterday evening, it made me realise that it has been a while since I felt that way. A good food recipe for marinated chicken and lemon and herb potatoes. It was really delicious. Billed as a summer recipe and if it hadn’t have been raining cats and dogs I would have actually gone outside and switched the BBQ on for the chicken … but I didn’t.

Felt a bit peaky yesterday so did absolutely nothing at all, in fact I napped rather a lot, thankfully I feel better today.

Thelittlestranger · 30/11/2025 09:43

Tough watching from the sidelines @Jins - I hope the news is manageable as much as possible.

@PenelopesProteinPackedParty 6lbs in a month is great! My average over the 7 months was 1.7lbs a week - so I'd take that and be very happy!

I've had a couple of days of over consumption. No dinner and lots of gin on Friday night are to blame. I made myself go for a run to clear the head yesterday. Suitable punishment.

Today it is beautiful outside. OH is off to London to enjoy his last day fully mobile this year, as his op is tomorrow. So Im going to put the outside lights up and possibly go for a mooch in town.

Have also just bought myself a pair of tan leather ruched boots which I'll pick up on Friday which I'm quite excited about. I have actually bought two pairs, so I can see which pair I prefer when I pick them up. I haven't worn kitten heels for a long time, but seem much happier doing so at this smaller size...

Chicken and chorizo stew for dinner. Yum.

HeidiLite · 30/11/2025 09:52

morning losers!
@Jins hope you get your heating back soon! I don't mind winter much as long as my house is nice and toasty, but really can't stand being cold indoors.

Packing here, off to airport soon, another business trip. This time there are no joint lunches and dinners planned, so I'm actually thinking about not jabbing today and only doing it when I'm back Wednesday evening - I want to move my jab day back to Thursdays anyway, so it helps with weekend snacking. Ate too much yesterday and I don't like to feel like a stuffed sausage.

2025istheyeari · 30/11/2025 10:29

Glad you had a great evening @Jins,sounds like just what you needed. Eek hopefully hearing back on sooner than billed🫣.
