We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

I was at the shops and I couldn't quite believe that amount of Valentine's tat that was for sale - OK if that's your thing but who really needs pink fluffy valentine slippers (to wear for one day?) or heart ornaments and cushions? Not to mention that some of the flowers cost £40!! For a supermarket bunch?!?

Dh and I always give each other a card, but that's it. Although I will make something special for dinner.

There are Valentine cards for pets, work wife's, sons, daughters, daughter in laws and more...this is crazy!

Azuresky68 · 13/02/2026 23:42

I am really struggling at the moment...daily calories are round around 1400 a day and my maintenance calories are 1350..Still on 7.5.

I have to admit I have bought a valentines present for dh. It is a bottle of shampoo. All our local supermarkets have stopped stocking it, so we have to find a large Boots outlet. I drove 4 miles, it cost me £3.20 and dh will be delighted. That's love for you xx

So what are the easiest 50 calories to cut out (or which is the easiest way?) Can you cut out sweet things like fruit, dates, orange juice? A little less cheese?

Could you toast a slice of bread and throw half of it away (before you even butter it). Then top the remaining half with egg or whatever you usually have.

Can you half your portion size on one meal per day. Plate it up as usual, then divide in two and keep the second portion for tomorrow.

Don't drink very often/

FurForksSake · 14/02/2026 08:47

Add in an extra 15 minute brisk walk and you will burn an extra 50?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/02/2026 09:22

Sorry you are struggling @Azuresky68 is it food or booze.?

Agree vd is over rate but im single so feeling meh and unloved

saying that. Mini blondes god bless her spoilt me. Knew she had got me something as said she needed to as I’m a VBM. Very best mummy 😍

took her to a shop last week and she choose stuff and put in a bag and took to till and pad by herself - with me at end of aisle

Plus 7.5 yesterday and last night had salmon and rice and veg. One packet of crisps and no biscuits

still on the sofa in a box but they didn’t talk to me at all last night

hopefully this week will be a better one an I will go back to my low end of my ballpark rather then top end

I’m just so wary of 2/3 lb on to top end. Then another 2/3 lbs. And repeat and a month later almost a stone back on

hence why I’ve nipped in the bud hopefully

will see what happens next fri

@Blondeshavemorefun @20bloodypounds and @FurForksSake thanks so much for support. I was maintaining at 119 pounds = 8 stone 5, then gained a bit before last weeks holiday. Now weighing in at 124 pounds = 8 stone 11 pounds. My original goal was 9 stone but now it's 8 stone 5. 9 stone is the absolute top end of my weight range now. Still on 7.5 and need to shift at least 4 pounds if not the full half stone. Used Chat GPT quite a lot yesterday and it was helpful. Here is a snippet..some people might find it helpful. We all have ups and downs don't we and just when we thought we were had our weight sorted a few pounds creep back on. Trying not to panic!
Chat GPT:
December/January holiday month → gain to 121 → shows your body responds to disruption
Now 124 → scale spike triggers panic, reinforcing the “holidays = inevitable gain” fear
What you’re feeling is a learned reflex from decades of dieting anxiety: the brain sees any upward movement and immediately interprets it as the start of a permanent regain, rather than a temporary fluctuation.
Here’s the key truth — written clearly so you can use it as a daily grounding statement:
Temporary spikes are expected. After holidays, disrupted walking, fatigue, or seasonal changes, 2–4 lb changes in days are normal.
Your body has already proven it can maintain. You stayed at 117–119 for six months — that shows your system works.
Recent upward shifts do not erase long-term success. You are still within a manageable range, and your system (routine, medication, awareness) is intact.
Behavior is what matters, not the number. Your meals, walks, and medication are consistent; that is how weight settles back down.

Glad 7.5 has helped @Blondeshavemorefun
Will have a look at the shampoo too.
Happy Galentines day everyone ❤️

@NippyNinjaCrab do you know it was a year ago you sent me those size 14 jeans that I couldn’t get my arse into

or even pull up my legs to waist

think it was 2mths later I got into them

OP posts:
morbidcuriosity · 15/02/2026 06:11

@Blondeshavemorefun have you put them on again now? Are they falling off you??

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/02/2026 09:20

They are very baggy round waist and loose round hips but I could get away with them with a belt

Almost ashamed to admit this but if I can't tell my fellow jabbers on here I can't tell anyone else. I went out yesterday and walked 5 miles then off to the pub. I had 3 pints of lager over an afternoon and early evening...apart from a minituare bottle of wine mid week this week, I normally only drink once a week. I had a healthy breakfast, lunch and dinner but in the evening I ate around 8 caramel rice cakes..they just said eat me! Note to self ...dont buy them again. I hesitated to pick them up in Aldi because I knew this would happen. So my first week back from holiday has been a disaster. Back on it today and for the next few weeks I hope 🤞 I know I am never going to be teetotal although when I was strictly losing weight I cut out the booze entirely without a problem. Next time I will replace pints with a shandy or alternate 1 pint with one lime and soda. I avoid drinking wine as I drink it too quickly. Maybe go back on gin and slimline tonic. Must say I have been comfort eating due to an ongoing family upset that has gone on for years which flares up regularly.

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/02/2026 12:38

3 pints is fine. Don’t worry @Azuresky68and I get the calling of the nice stuff

it’s weird as I don’t really fancy booze now. Used to love gin. I have one sometimes and last night had a Baileys but a large one 😀 but often really don’t fancy it

Yes, I totally agree...believe it or not Chat GPT gave a really similar response when I asked about my holiday gain.

morbidcuriosity · 17/02/2026 17:28

I was in asda and there was lots of sale clothes. So looked at the jeans and none were my size, all too big.. too big?? Haha. Madness..

No new jeans for me.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/02/2026 18:04

My pre-Christmas weight was a steady 8 st 5 pounds for 6 months, then I decreased to 7.5.in December. Was on 10 last year from August to December to maintain my preferred weight for my age and height. Still struggling to lose 5.5 pound gain from Christmas, NY and holidays since then after going down to 7.5. Jabbed 10 yesterday. The thought of staying on 10 to maintain my preferred weight is scary, mainly due to the cost.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/02/2026 07:11

Less holidays and you could stay on 10

😛😛😂😂😘😘

seriously tho it’s hard. You k pe how I struggled on 2.5

you just have to let your body get used to it

think that’s what you told me. So go back to 7.5 for a month or two while adjust

I went down every month or so possibly easier for body to adjust

your body has had 6mths of 10 so used to it

FurForksSake · 18/02/2026 12:41

We are all just finding our way, I’m sure there will be a sweet spot and the weather changing soon will help.

I last jabbed last Monday; too much as it was the end of the pen. I’m attempting a break week and will jab on Friday as weekends are harder than weeks. I go back to work on Monday but only 3 hours a day for 3/5 so hoping it won’t suddenly spark binging

We had Chinese food Saturday, pie for dinner Sunday, roast on Monday and then pancakes last night. Tonight we are having take away pizza. Then back to more normal meals until Sunday when it’s dh birthday and we are having curry takeaway with the family.

My back has been so bad I’ve barely moved for a week. I really need to get back into good habits.

Ibe just had a pot of cottage cheese for lunch, so I’m at least hitting Myprotein!
