We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

Thanks for support and understanding @Blondeshavemorefun @FurForksSake so sorry your back is bad again and all the best for your return to work.

It's so hard getting used to maintenance isn't it.
Ironically I have got a big issue with my other half that I need to deal with..he doesn't know it yet and it will be very stressful to speak about it..this has upset and stressed me so much I have been struggling to eat at all...usually i comfort eat when upset/stressed. The last time something happened that made me feel so bad was 4 years ago and I lost half a stone over Christmas because I could barely eat. It feels like my tummy is a washing machine 😩 Nevertheless I jabbed 10 today to help get me back to my happy weight.
In future I think I will always increase my dose if I gain then go back down again.

Sorry to hear things not great with oh @Azuresky68. Hope gets sorted

@FurForksSake good luck with work

@Azuresky68 sending hugs. It's hard when there are things in your relationship that need sorted. But you are right to face it and get it right. Or sadly end it. Part of doing this stuff for ourselves is about getting it all right - finance, relationship, health. But also please remember that your 5.5lb increase is still keeping you at a much lower weight than you were 18 months ago, therefore much better health wise, and how you feel about yourself.

Eat small and healthy.

Azuresky68 · 19/02/2026 09:18

@20bloodypounds thanks. Overall the relationship is great and ticks 90% of boxes. At 69 and 70 we have been together for nearly 6 years ...it has been tough especially at the beginning because he was scared due to past stuff and held back, whereas I fell madly in love even though i didn't tell him until recently. He gave me the things that were totally missing in my marriage and after my marriage, mainly single with a few unsuitable relationships/situationships. We don't argue as we have had too much of that in our past lives, however in 6 years when I have raised anything really bothering me - only twice -- he just gets defensive and the first time he ended things for a couple of weeks..that was 4 years ago. I was devastated 💔
It's because he just isn’t prepared to have any stress in his life at his age, after having a lot in the past. 2 years ago we had a difficult time because i raised something ..that caused a lot of stress but we got through it. I can only put this in this thread because I trust the people here. If i put it in a thread asking for opinions it would probably be judgemental based on their experience..dump him etc. That's not an option for me...as I said it's great most of the time. I have done my time being single and staying with an incompatible partner for 2 years about 7 years ago ..I just wanted a bit of 'entertainment'! Realistically if we ended up splitting there would be very little chance of finding someone who meets my needs the vast majority of the time with a couple of blips in 6 years...and we still fancy eachother too.
However I know if I let this 'thing' go without addressing it I will be eaten up by it. But I am very worried about his reaction. His defence is to walk away and be on his own again..or maybe meet someone else. In fact it is me that could be rightly angry/annoyed/upset but i am not going in confrontation mode. I don't mind getting comments from the peoole I 'know' in this group but please don't tell me to dump him 😩

Azuresky68 · 19/02/2026 09:21

Weight update - back down to near my preferred weight of 117..now 120.4 Before it was up to 124. I have partly not being eating due to emotional upset but on Tuesday I jabbed 10 mg mounjaro after trying 7.5 for a month. Weight all gained on 5 weeks holiday..4 weeks over Christmas and NY then 1 week in February. I think my strategy is to aim to titrate down to 5 then maintain if possible with option to jab higher dose after holidays.

20bloodypounds · 19/02/2026 09:30

You sound very wise @Azuresky68 Flowers

FurForksSake · 19/02/2026 10:55

@Azuresky68 I agree you need to address it and then deal with the fall out, if any.

I hope he meets whatever it is with good grace and you can tumble on together being lovely.

I haven’t jabbed since last Monday, I intend to tomorrow. I said I was a bit worried but I weighed this morning and it was 8st3, which js totally fine as I haven’t been great. Just need to get back to normal and jab tomorrow. We had takeaway last night and I had salad and chicken tenders but with the nice sauce. So balance!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/02/2026 18:35

Can you say @Azuresky68 what is troubling you /what he did and then we can try and give you unbasied advice

sounds like if you tackle the elephant (no penis’s) in the room and talk about it , yes you do run the small risk of him leaving

but

if you don’t say anything it will bug you and eat away at you an end up destroying your relationship anyway

so you need to say /tackle it as whatever is it - it means too much to you to ignore it

@Azuresky68 echoing other posters saying that they are sorry you are going through rough times. Relationships are never black and white are they? At your relationship ticking 90% of your boxes, that is pretty blooming good I think. But only you can decide if you are able to live with it.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2026 09:31

Humph gained a lb and over my ballpark top end. WTF

not sure why. Haven’t done anything unusual this week and eaten normal stuff and been in my cals

Oh no..so sorry to hear that..maintenance is tough but better than being back at our starting weight..phewwww

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2026 13:57

I know. It’s a lb. But it also means I’m 4lbs over my lowest end

maybe as half term I haven’t been as good but tbh I thought I had. Yes been out for lunch x 3 (4 including Tom) but 2 were jacket tuna and salad an 3rd was sausage sarnie so not terrible stuff and I did cals as I thought an still had 150 left over

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 20/02/2026 14:06

@Blondeshavemorefun it might just fall off next week, so don’t worry about it. Salty tuna and carbs maybe retaining water?

Azuresky68 · 20/02/2026 14:55

@Blondeshavemorefun did you have a half stone window? Are you over the top of that now? I am sure it will drop off next week though. I like a baked potato but it's easy to underestimate calories if eat out...I always weigh them at home and measure mayo and butter. Even a medium size is quite high. But as you know it takes 3500 calories to gain a pound of fat so you probably haven't gained at all. Just a temporary blip but i know all too well how that feels. Sent you a PM by the way

I’ve just discovered M&S sweet and salty rice cakes, three are 120calories and really filling for a snack.

Replied

no not half a stone. Thank God. Or I would be hysterical 😳😳

my ballpark is 3lbs

10.4 lowest and 10.7 highest in the last 6mths . Today was10.8

maybe I’ve miscounted the cals but don’t think was that bad

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 20/02/2026 16:27

@Blondeshavemorefun I’m sure it’ll be a blip. Weight is funny like that. Are your clothes feeling tighter?

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/02/2026 20:28

They don’t seem to be. My measurements are the same whether 10.4 or 10.8so …….

OP posts:
morbidcuriosity · 20/02/2026 21:04

I would give yourself a bigger ball park. Maybe 7lb. So 10.2 to 10.9 or 10 to 10 and half..

Only cos I've noticed myself the wild fluctuations I can have. That way you find it easier to stay in it maybe..
