We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

I’ve just had a delicious Heinz daal pot, I couldn’t finish it. They are 187 calories and 7g of fibre, and 3 of your 5 a day. Shelf stable so really, really handy to have in the cupboard. And non upf from what I can see!

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2026 13:21

Sorry you didn’t lose @Azuresky68

well done @FurForksSake

ive lost 2lbs and back in my low end of weight I went to be

obv 5 is going to be the one

i was nicely maintaining on that before /over Xmas so hopefully will plod on as usual on 5

i hope when you get to 5 you mange to maintain

will you both try 2.5 and hope you don’t struggle the way I did

That’s great news @Blondeshavemorefun!

If I have to use a high dose to maintain I will, spacing doses seemed to work ok on me before so that could be an option if the lower doses are too hard. It will be trial and error!

20bloodypounds · 23/01/2026 18:01

I've also lost 2lbs - that tiny bit extra really did for me. Felt awful for a day but back in the most comfortable weight zone, ready for my 4 weeks with no MJ.

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/01/2026 19:07

Ya. Fab @20bloodypounds

@NippyNinjaCrab how are you getting on ?
And @WitchDancer?

Ugh, down to 5mg now (cost) and still 3lbs above goal despite being in a steady deficit. BMI is still 23 but I’m irrationally anxious about all this. Honestly all those people who say weight loss is only about calories in vs calories out can do one.

FurForksSake · 25/01/2026 11:29

@1clavdivs that sounds disappointing, but bmi is still good. Are you stable at that weight or is it creeping up?

I’ve been reading a lot about set point theory and it’s been quite enlightening. Thinking about how our bodies fight against us with slowing metabolism and increasing hunger.

I have to get to grips with muscle building I think if I want to maintain on a low dose. I’m on 10mg and this week has been absolutely fine. I’m considering dropping a click a week to do the world’s slowest taper.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2026 12:33

That’s a healthy bmi @1clavdivs at 23. Do you need to lose the 3lbs ?

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2026 12:34

TMI but I’m in need of more fibre apparently - iron tablets not helping me either lol

ive ordered some fibre granules

how many teaspoons do I add to my cuppa /water ?

FurForksSake · 25/01/2026 13:28

Are you still taking the lactose?

I take psyllium but it comes in capsules so I take 2-3 of those. With lots and lots of water!

I know chia seeds work for a lot of people but I’ve not tried.

with most of theses it’s a case of starting low ish and building tolerance up.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2026 17:54

No stopped the lactose. Got fed up of the so sweetness but might need to go back if this fibre powder doesn’t work

OP posts:
20bloodypounds · 25/01/2026 19:25

chia is good for me. I mix 2 tablespoons with 2 bottles of natural benecol (unflavoured, unsweetened). Then usually some kefir (for more liquid), and some frozen berries. I eat one quarter of it each day with some toasted nuts and seeds.

NippyNinjaCrab · 25/01/2026 20:13

Hello, how is everyone this week?
I stayed the same this week bar a couple of ounces less but I am okay with that. I need to toughen up and tighten up on the portions!

I went over on my ankle monday and its still agony, the swelling has gone down a lot but the top of my foot is very painful today. I've not been super active due to that.
This week I will be using Nutracheck for the portions and calories as DH is away 2 nights for work.
Whats the Auggies gossip? Xx

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/01/2026 20:56

Oh @NippyNinjaCrab. Sorry to hear about your claws/pincers 😜 tho seriously sorry about ankle

maybe get it checked out if still hurting a week later and see doc Tom if possible

I am in the same boat too....sending support vibes. Weighed in Friday - 3 pounds above my final goal (which was 8 st 5 pounds at 23.4 BMI) Then stayed the same last week on Weigh Day - Friday. Today I have 'gained' 2 more pounds. Now 8 stone 9 - 24.5 BMI. I had a stressful and sad time due to family issues and got through 2 bottles wine at the weekend...not my usual behaviour. No drinking during the week but this will be hard as I have 2 special social occaisions this week. I don't feel I look fat but it's the constant anxiety.
Could do with a bit of support today if anyone is around 😪😫🙏

WorriedRelative · 26/01/2026 11:26

Hi everyone,

Sorry it has been ages, I was struggling to keep up with the last thread and missed this one starting entirely!

Thought I would drop in and update though, as I hit 68kg today which has been my goal for a while (I changed my targets as I progressed). That means my BMI is below 23. I need to check my waist measurements again and do a methreesixty scan.

The last month has been very slow progress but I guess that's to be expected and will help the shift to maintenance.

I jab tomorrow and I think I am going to click count 12.5mg from my 15mg pen and do that for a month and see how I get on.

Now off to read back and see what everyone else is up to.

Sorry to hear about your ankle. Take care and look after yourself x

FurForksSake · 26/01/2026 11:33

@NippyNinjaCrab sounds like it might need looking at!

@WorriedRelative well done on hitting goal!

@Azuresky68 sorRy you are struggling, I’m sure the extra 2lbs will fall off. Back to the methods that got it off in the first place.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/01/2026 11:40

Oh @Azuresky68. Don’t weight after a weekend and booze and only once a week same day aka fri as it will up and down

sorry to hear about family issues ((hugs 💐💐

well done @WorriedRelative for getting to a healthy bmi

@1clavdivs how are you feeling today ?

@NippyNinjaCrab hope you saw doc today or take self to minor injures

FurForksSake · 26/01/2026 11:42

I measured my waist, 26” I wish I’d measured it when I started! I’m wearing size 8 jeans and tomorrow some size 6 jeans are coming for me to try. I won’t be getting rid of any size 8 and I don’t think I’ll be able to maintain this size on lower doses so I’m enjoying it while it lasts and not buying much that actually fits.

Thanks Blondes and Forks..I know you are both right ✅️ and it's what I would advise to others. Just need to give myself the same advice 😅 💐 ❤️🌹

Sorry to hear this. I get you though, it’s tough doing the things you’re supposed to do but your body just doesn’t play along. Chat GPT tells me it can’t possibly be fat.
