We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

@FurForksSake sorry to hear your news Flowers In looking after and being supportive to others, don't forget to also look after yourself in what ever way is best / possible.

20bloodypounds · 17/01/2026 16:31

I'm doing one month on and one month off - took my final dose on Thursday. It was the last in the pen so I syringed it out. I was taking 30ml from a 5mg pen (so 2.5mg total) but there was a wee bit more left in the pen... I thought 'what the hell' and injected 42ml so none of it was wasted - that's 3.5mg. Mistake! I had such bad stomach cramp yesterday evening. dh and I were driving home and I had to make him stop as I felt so ill and nauseous. I just felt like everything was sitting in my stomach and not being digested. Feeling better today after a wakeful and restless night, but still a bit delicate and I've only had one coffee and a single ryvita with cheese. A small bowl of vegetable soup is planned for dinner. What a lightweight!

Anyway, I now have 4 weeks off and after yesterday's experience, I am very glad. Just need to be vigilant about what I'm eating to be sure and maintain.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/01/2026 17:15

Oh bless you @20bloodypounds. Obv a too high dose

are you then having a month off to see how well you cope

envious as I couldn’t cope with 2.5

any reason why you don’t do 1.25 a week or just trying things ?

OP posts:
20bloodypounds · 17/01/2026 17:27

I had November off, then December back on (plus an extra 2 weeks to finish the pen), and now another 4 weeks off. I think I'm trying to work out how I manage without any MJ, but I also don't want the sense of failure I might feel if I came off completely, then put on weight, couldn't manage and had to start again. So this is my deliberate plan for just now - to have 4 weeks off to see how well I can regulate my own appetite and maintain my weight (I did OK in November), then a plan to inject again for another 4 weeks (well 5 really) so I don't have to think so hard about the food noise, and have some magic help if I've put on a couple of pounds.

It also means I'm using each 2.5mg pen only for 30 days rather than twice as long. I have of course used previous 5mg pens for much longer taking 2.5mg from a 5mg pen with scrupulous hygeine, and it's all been OK. This way just feels a wee bit safer.

Since I'm only on 2.5mg (with Oushk) I could keep on with this regime for the long term, and it is more affordable

FurForksSake · 17/01/2026 17:42

How much is 2.5 from oushk? That sounds magical! Well done you.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/01/2026 19:26

I envious on off works for you as I couldn’t manage on 2.5

@Blondeshavemorefun those photos are amazing!

So are yours when you put up

I’m still amazed I’ve lost 7s or 6s 11 when at high ballpark

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 18/01/2026 19:20

For me I couldnt cope on 2.5 - odd 2w and was waking up 3/4am hungry and eating all bad stuff
literally they would say to me. Blondes. Eat me !!
and I was on the top of my ballpark
I’ve said before i didn’t think I had food noise. Well I bloody well do on 2.5
i went back to 5 on fri and don’t had breakie till think 11 today
I haven’t eaten chocolate or biscuits or Belgium seashells since Thur
I still have crisps but that’s my thing.
5 is obv my sweet spot an I am going to have to try and figure out how I can stay on it

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 18/01/2026 19:37

I do think once I start eating things I just want more and more of them. So for me it’s not starting and not having them in. Crisps I ca. control, sugar seems to take me differently.

20bloodypounds · 18/01/2026 22:21

For me it's alcohol. On MJ I find it really easy not to think about, not to buy it, not to want it if it's in the house. But if I have one G&T I can all too easily think 'ooh that was nice, let's have another...'

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/01/2026 10:37

Where it’s def made me not want

I love gin. Very rarely have one noe

or have one. Or one baileys (tho a large one) 😂

it’s not that I drank lots anyway esp with dh. I didn’t drink at all for months /or one a year on birthday

but I look at the bottle and think nah

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 19/01/2026 10:42

@Blondeshavemorefun I’m sure you’ve already said and I’ve missed it or forgotten, so sorry to ask. But how have you found the pain? Has it got more painful?

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/01/2026 10:51

The pain is a lot better actually. I really struggled 10 to 7.5 and why I went back up to 10 for Aug and holiday but on 5 I’m ok

not sure as I reduced so gradually or if being 7s lighter helps

I do still get some aches on ankle hip and knee but def not as bad as aug 2024

weather is a huge one. If frosty or raining I ca tell in the morning before get out of bed - def aches more in the wet

but 5 is fine fo pain considering I did struggle on 7.5 when dropped

you have a good memory @FurForksSake

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 19/01/2026 11:05

That’s really positive, thanks for sharing. Before mj I had really, really bad ibs/d. Mounjaro has sorted that out. I feel like for pain and not having diarrhoea multiple times a day the cost may be worth it with the bonus of slimness!

I do wonder if slower gut transit and change in diet has meant my microbiome has healed and that’s why the diarrhoea is better.

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/01/2026 12:29

Maybe - I’ve never had ibs but have friends who literally eat and run to toilet
