We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

Instead of shakes have you tried collagen powder to up protein - different opinions on which brand is best. I get mine from Nutrition Geeks? Stir into coffee and yoghurt. Think it will work out cheaper than protein shakes 🤔

I don’t drink coffee an really eat yogs

i ve tried a protein yogs and Rank

Thanks @Azuresky68for those lovely kids words I just ideally want to stop do financial reasons - it’s really tough finding it while paying out for other things all my myself and making sure mini blondes has all she needs

it was manageable just before the price rise

I don’t feel guilty at what I spent but I can’t gain it else it’s a waste of money

Honestly I really understand how you are feeling. I had a good job but as a single mum of two I had no spare cash at all. It's a nightmare with the price increase. I couldn't have started when the price went up. I gained 1.5 pounds over a month which included Christmas and NY on 7.5 which I am happy about but don't know how I will do on 5 Am resigned to staying on 5 for life 😱 Staying on 7.5 for another 4 weeks then trying 5

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2026 07:58

Why did they have to increase the price ffs - was fine before then.

Thank God I only had one mini 💖 I couldn’t afford to do for her twice over. She lives for her gym and is very good at it but it’s a huge cost of £175 a month plus then her memberships for stuff and comps but you have to let them follow their dreams

I can’t work more as struggle to sort the 3 nights I do work - thank God for friends and more recently my dad

I would love my pb to win big. Not the million but say £25k would help big time

one day eh. March last year £100 holdings won a million

moan over

Sorry for weight gain @Azuresky68 but do Xmas and holidays that’s not bad

I think I will be the same with 5 for life

struggling on 2.5 and hungry - which tbh I haven’t really felt for a long time and it’s the growling tummy. Proper hunger and water isn’t helping

@Blondeshavemorefun I know people were talking about it on the other thread, but is it worth thinking about muscle and exercise to see if gaining muscle helps you maintain? Maybe getting some adjustable dumbbells from Argos and doing some bits at home would help?

You aren’t ready for 2.5, yet. Doesn’t mean you won’t be. You may find going back to 5 helps and then you can start spacing it out.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2026 08:16

I have some dumbbells which are 2kg and use those - I do the odd 3 at bootcamp on Friday but struggle

Morning, @Blondeshavemorefun you're being super down on yourself!! When I came off the jabs I just went with the flow and I was eating much more and carbs. Im now back on how I was eating before, I am managing to ignore any noise towards unhealthy snacking (malteser eggs ffs)

YOU ARE NOT A FAILURE!!!

I think you could do with changing your food, try some porridge/bran flakes with berries and nuts with whole milk. The fibre will fill you up and the full fat will too. Snack on rolled up cooked meats with soft cheese, apples, some humous?
You do work unsociable hours so give yourself some slack with hunger.
Persevere with the 2.5 and switch up your diet. I dont particularly like the protein yoghurts either, I prefer Fage or Skyr. They keep me full for a long time. I add almonds and seeds.

Weighed this morning and I have lost 1lb of the pesky 13lbs yay.

Xx

@NippyNinjaCrab well done on getting back to it 👏 all good advice for Blondes, although I still feel better when I have my eggs with cooked ham ..I make it in my air fryer in a small loaf silicone container. Comes out like a quiche. Can also include cottage cheese to add protein..blend cottage cheese it with eggs, then ham on bottom of loaf thing. Then I cut in slices and have protein snacks at hand. For my sweet tooth cravings I make a non cheese cheesecake.. absolutely delicious and great for protein snacks. Will post recipe later as I am going out for a walk soon. It's nice to get recipe ideas to vary our food options. Shall I post a few or will it derail thread?

Azuresky68 · 16/01/2026 09:54

First official weigh in after a month with no calorie counting. 2 pounds over my 8 st 7 goal so very happy with that. Back to calorie counting and alcohol restricted to one day a week and only in moderation!

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun lovely mil appears to have an inoperable tumour around her bile duct. she got hold of mj with gallstones and it made her feel terrible and they put it down to fatty liver and giant gallstones. Had scans in December and they put her on the list to see a consultant for having her gallbladder out. However, no priority as no infection or anything seen on ultrasound.

We encouraged her to get a private opinion which she was going to do on Tuesday. But on Saturday she ended up in a lot of pain so went to a&e. She then had a ct scan on Sunday and they discovered a mass crushing her bile duct.

DH went in this morning and met the cancer nurse and consultant and we are now waiting for a biopsy result and then a plan from Oxford. But, they’ve said it’s not operable due to the location and so it will be terminal. How quickly terminal we don’t know.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/01/2026 16:34

Oh my goodness. That’s terrible. I’m so sorry - here if you need to vent 💐💐

Azuresky68 · 17/01/2026 09:30

I got back from hols last Sunday and wanted to wait a while before weighing. Weighed yesterday as it's my official weigh day and was 2 pounds over my target...this morning I am just half a pound over. The carbs, alcohol and fluid retention from flying really do give a higher weight result which is why I prefer waiting a week after any trip away. As soon as I get back I go straight back to calorie counting. Sadly I think I will always have to count calories and stay on 1350 cals to maintain and take MJ.
I am planning to go down to 5 mg soon

Azuresky68 · 17/01/2026 10:07

Target is 8 stone 7 but noticed on my records that I was actually around 8 st 5 pounds from August to December so probably put on 7 pounds on holiday 😅😅😅 it was well worth it. When I get back to 8 stone 5 pounds I am reducing down to 5 mg 😱 I think 8 stone 5 pounds is my happy weight @BMI 23.5
