We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

@Blondeshavemorefun I have been on 7.5 for about a month. First day after holiday and Monday is my jab day. Haven't eaten much today...no breakfast, L 2 ryvitas with butter and dinner was 3 Aldi chicken sausages, Iceland cauliflower cheese (yummy) and Brussels sprouts. Total cals including milk in tea and coffee = under 600, but need a few days on low calories as I feel bloated after holiday.

7.5 is giving you great suppression?

I was looking at the Iceland ones as I do love a micro /easy meal go when I’m at Work

I didn't find that I had great suppresion until yesterday...it's as if my body/brain is telling me that I have taken in too many calories over the last few days and now I need to cut back...woke up this morning feeling bloated and full again.
I think that's how a naturally 'normal' weight person feels which is why they naturally eat less when they overdo it...so that's how MJ helps us 🤔 i will see what the scales say on Friday!

FurForksSake · 13/01/2026 07:40

It’s funny, we all look like normal sized humans or on the way to normal sized humans. I know some of us are at slightly different stages. But, I for one have to accept that looks can be deceptive. I will always be fighting obesity, always. It’s like being an alcoholic or any addiction, to a degree. We will always have the potential to go back unless we keep doing the work.

i don’t think the constant narrative of failure helps at all. I do think there is very little thought about the causes of gaining weight must be related to being told that you are definitely going tl fail and it’s not if but when.

20bloodypounds · 13/01/2026 09:28

@FurForksSake I hate the language that is used as well. Instead of people talking about a friend or acquaintance coming off WLI and 'putting on a a couple of pounds' instead they use phrases like 'PILE it all back on'. It feels so shaming, especially when we are working so hard at maintenance.

I had a rare 'munchy' day yesterday. Grazing round the cupboards and the fridge looking for something to satisfy the feeling. I did manage to ignore dh's chocolatey snacks but was gave into tempation when I saw his big bag of crisps.

FurForksSake · 13/01/2026 09:56

@20bloodypounds exactly! Super emotive and always framed with greed and a massive gotcha. I literally feel terrified of the couple of pounds I’ve gained in case it’s obvious and anyone comments. I feel like I’m watched and people will be delighted if I relapse.

FurForksSake · 13/01/2026 19:48

I watched a video earlier on protein ready meals. The Morrisons were apparently really good and one of the Waitrose ones.

https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNRhGAk8J/

Had a really good curry for dinner which had loads of lentils and butter but squash in it. No rice for me. I did have a small M&S onion bhaji with it though.

I’m struggling on 2.5. It’s 4am and I’m awake and hungry - madness

I seemed to be ok on 5 and I want to go back up but I said I would do jan and see how weight was at end of it.

it’s halfway and I’m def not sure anymore

do I carry on or go back to 5

is anyone else on 2.5 after being on high /15?

how are you finding 2.5 ?

I am micro with a 7.5 and 10 pen and micro so lasting far longer so cost wise is slightly better but don’t want to be on it forever but I may have to be

ahhhhhhhhhhh

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 14/01/2026 07:26

Ahh @Blondeshavemorefun that absolutely sucks.

I had a random day a few weeks ago where I was awake and hungry at 4am. I couldn’t fathom it!

i guess you have two choices, stick to the original plan and go back up to 5 in Feb and deal with the damage if any. Or tough it out and see how things go.

January is a hard month, we are going to have hungrier periods and it’s going to be tricky. It’s ok to need more help.

can you inject at day six or five even and then space it back out?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2026 07:32

I have always jabbed on a Friday just so I know where I am. My ideally want to stick to weekly. I am definitely struggling on 2.5

I’m really not sure what to do. I did want to come off it down to cost its madness. I am hungry in a three hours later. I am still bloody hungry and I’m driving home from work starving.

Why not wait until Fri weigh in..if STS then stay in 2.5 for a couple of weeks? But if it's too hard then go back to 5 and based on cost work out how you can save on spending in other ways? I know that will be hard when budgets are strained already - I was a single mum of 2 so never had any spare cash. If you can't do it on 2.5 then it will be so hard if you come off. I am resigned to staying on jabs because I am so much happier after weight loss and can't bear to put it back on. Hopefully as new developments in MJ come it might get cheaper.
Sorry if that's not helpful but you asked for an opinion 🤗❤️🤗

Azuresky68 · 14/01/2026 11:02

@Blondeshavemorefun are you eating lots of veggies...I always have plenty of frozen ones ...broccoli, cauliflower, green beans and spinach are my favourites. Got some nice steam bags in Iceland but thats more expensive.
I don't find protein shakes are filling ...how about overnight oats or weetabix/branflakes with Greek yoghurt and add frozen blueberries or raspberries.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2026 11:03

Yes I have the frozen bags via Aldi. Eat tons of carrots and Brocolli

I don’t find the shakes filling but have as an extra protein

I think it’s the curse of 2.5

wait till you drop to that @Azuresky68

its easy on 10/7.5

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 14/01/2026 11:10

Honestly @Blondeshavemorefun I don’t think I’ll get down to 2.5. I’m going to have to find a way of affording to stay on whatever dose I can maintain on.

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2026 11:25

Am I your guinea pig 😂

I’ve seen lots of Oprah today. She was talking about how she came off WLI and gained back 20lbs over a year. I believe she’s now gone back on.

She was talking about hiking 5-6 miles a day to give herself some food freedom. All sounds bit extreme.

it did make me think if she struggles is there hope for the rest of us? I’m sure she has teams of people supporting her and doing her cooking and exercise regimes. I also thought it really does show how obesity is a disease and WLI are the treatment for it.

FurForksSake · 14/01/2026 11:32

@Blondeshavemorefun yes 🤣🤣🤣

You and @Azuresky68 need to drop to 2.5 so you can feel the stress I do 😜😜

FurForksSake · 14/01/2026 11:48

Ha! I might lose another 7-14 pounds, get my bmi down to 18.5 so I can bounce back to this weight when I can’t manage it.

have you tried eggs? Were you working last night? Can you eat hard boiled eggs while cuddling babies?

Blondeshavemorefun · 14/01/2026 15:06

Tbh @FurForksSake the pics you put up. You are very slim. Don’t lose anymore weight

yes I like eggs. But wouldn’t eat them at work due to the smell

I had a lovey M&S count on you meal for lunch

then ate crisps / seashells chocolates - penguin ffs

I have zero control on food noise at the moment and I’ve said before I didn’t think I had it - but I bloody well do now on low dose

i can’t do this anymore 😢😢😢 - I’m going to jab 5 Fri.

I feel like a total failure 😢😢😢😢

as ideally wanted to do 2 .5 for a few months and come off it totally

but seems I can’t do that

I will def gain Fri an need to take control now or all my good work and £2k wasted

FurForksSake · 14/01/2026 15:19

@Blondeshavemorefun yeah, I’m not going under 8st. I’d like to have more tone and muscle but stay around the same size. I feel my legs look twiggy but not much I can do about that.

I’ve not bought much in my current size as I really don’t think it’s going to stick. Most of my clothes are a 10 and a bit bit but manageable.

That is really interesting about Oprah @FurForksSake. As you say she will have a huge amount of resources at her fingertips.

Blimey.

Instead of shakes have you tried collagen powder to up protein - different opinions on which brand is best. I get mine from Nutrition Geeks? Stir into coffee and yoghurt. Think it will work out cheaper than protein shakes 🤔

Azuresky68 · 15/01/2026 13:28

@Blondeshavemorefun please dont feel like a failure 🤗 you have done amazingly...it's not easy to lose even with jabs. It's not our fault that we are wired differently from people who are 'naturally' slim. I have no confidence that I could maintain on 2.5. Finding it hard enough on 7.5! I am hoping to stay on 5 forever and maintain. Don't feel guilty about spending £2k on you. Some people happily pay £2k per person for a weeks holiday (not me!) and that's only great while they are there. You are 7 stone lighter..what an amazing investment in yourself and your health. I am sure you are over the moon with your new slim self....you did this for yourself and mini Blondes. Be proud of yourself - you are most definitely not a failure 🤗 You should be proud of yourself being brave enough to be a single parent...it's not easy but so much better than staying in an unhappy relationship/situation. I was 20 years married and this year it's 20 years since I divorced the ex. It was very tough for a while but I am over the moon, finally feeling slim and being able to wear nice clothes, instead of looking for things that hide my weight. MJ was one of the best things that has happened to me and I am staying on it!
Many people spend the same amount of their money on buying daily coffees and food for lunch..even a meal deal is around £5 a day then a takeaway coffee could be £3.50 5 days a week..if my maths are right that's £170 a month. Not saying you are spending that, plus you don't smoke or drink so you aren't wasting money. Many people spend loads on clothes but we don't..both Temu and Shein gals!
If you can afford 5mg then please don't feel guilty about staying on it. You are definitely NOT a failure. Sending love and hugs ❤️
