We have all been on for heading up to 17mths now- we gathered our courage and started what would be a memorable journey for us all - made some hopefully forever friends

Gather round my little auggies 😍 and we are all doing amazingly so be proud of yourselves

The amount of weight per person lost varies from 1-2stone - 3-4 - 5-6 - 7+
in a year

We are amazing !!!

All of us have totally changed our body shape - reduced our bmi and weight and hopefully improved our health

most of us are at goal - and working out how to maintain - some nearing it
And some still have weight they want to lose

We are still here cheering you on till you get to your happy weight so please do carry on posting

Some have stopped for cost - esp after the aug announcements - still so thankful we started it when we did

Imagine Aug 25 and being told 2/3w later prices were increasing lots - I def couldn’t have managed a year of mj at new sept prices esp as doses didn’t really effect me even 15 !

ALL of us have lost weight and I love the fact we are all so supportive to each other over weight and our general day to day lives

This next year will almost be harder.

To keep the weight off Esp if reducing dose or off completely

only 2 words to say 😂😂

Wow @Blondeshavemorefun impressed you've gone down to the 2.5. If only I had your courage, I've decided it's definitely another 10 pen for 5 weeks before I try the 7.5 .

Wow @Blondeshavemorefun impressed you've gone down to the 2.5. If only I had your courage, I've decided it's definitely another 10 pen for 5 weeks before I try the 7.5 .

Didn’t forget I’ve been downing for months from June I think when I hit my 6s loss and 11s and bmi 24

and tho was eating 600c more every day I was still losing and lost another stone without trying

from 15 to 10. I skipped 12.5 as cba
but was on 10 for maybe 2mths. Then 7.5 but feel pain a lot so went back to 10’in Aug for my holiday then down again

may 15
june 10
july 10& 7.5
aug 10 again as felt pain lots on 7.5
sept 10 and 7.5
October 7.5 and 5
Nov 5
Dec 5
jan 2.5

I admit I am a little wary going so low as if you rem I didn’t really get suppression or proper regular weight loss till 10

but if I don’t gain in jan on 2.5 I will do Feb as well and think what to do

if I struggle on 2.5 means I need to stay on 5 forever

but till I try I won’t know

morbidcuriosity · 03/01/2026 09:45

Ah u didn't realise or register it was that many months you been doing lower.. thats kinda my plan too I think.

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/01/2026 09:49

Tbh I didn’t reliese how long I had been doing it either - slow and steady an hopefully weight will stay off

rather then cold turkey

Now up to a 6lb gain, another 3lbs on. I am so worried, I honestly have not been gorging to warrant this and I haven’t been tracking very closely. I do feel constipated and I’ve definitely eaten more than my usual. But I’m still on 12.5 and this gain feels so fast. I’ve got to track closely from today and go back into deficit. Gah.

1clavdivs · 04/01/2026 10:48

Popping in to say hi. I got to goal in August on 12.5 and asked AI to help me put a tapering plan together. I’m on 7.5 now due to move down to 5 by next month. I’ve been holding steady but put on 3lbs over Christmas so I’m keeping an eye on that. Back to high protein/fibre and back in the gym. Hoping the gain is a fluctuation as I can’t afford for my maintenance dose to be above 5mg really.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/01/2026 20:42

That seems really weird @FurForksSake esp as on 12.5 and you say you haven’t eaten that badly

do you think you will gain if you drop to 10/7.5/5

@1clavdivs waves. Nice to see you back - I didn’t have a plan as such but a few posts above I wrote how I tapeeed done. Slow and steady and at 5 maintaining easiy

nowgone go 2.5 so will se what jan brings me

OP posts:
FurForksSake · 04/01/2026 20:52

I honestly don’t know, I’m going to have to be so, so careful and really be careful outside of holidays and celebrations.

i was going to go down to 10 tomorrow and I’ll do 12.5 and maybe 12.5 after 5 days if I’m struggling this week.

I’ve managed to go for walks and physio exercises more days so I’m half wondering whether there is inflammation and constipation at play as well.

I’ve eaten too many quality street today, but that’s done now. Roast chicken for dinner and I had lots of healthy veg and only a tiny bit of gravy and no potatoes.

I mean I’m still 8st6 and a bmi of 21, but I have to nip this firmly in the bud.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/01/2026 21:59

8/6 and 21 is far from over weight so don’t beat yourself up too much @FurForksSake

Happy New Year everyone!!

1clavdivs · 04/01/2026 22:15

@Blondeshavemorefun I think our tapering schedule is pretty similar. I've been working slowly down through my stockpile too.

From goal:
12.5mg x 3 weeks
10mg x 10 weeks
7.5mg x 6 weeks (nearly finished this bit)
5mg x 11 weeks
2.5mg x who knows.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/01/2026 22:16

Yes looks very similar. Why on 5 for so long ? Tho I was the sam. Didn’t dare do 2,5 begin of Dec

I’m here - Happy new year all! Hope you all had a lovely time with your loved ones .

I’ve pretty much eaten and drank the same as a normal Christmas so expecting some damage tomorrow when I take my New Year Weigh in …

Ithinkimrincewind · 04/01/2026 22:51

I'm on my last pen 😱 I tapered down really slowly as my plan is to come off. So im taking 2.5 from a 5 pen for a couple of weeks and then 2 etc til it's done.
Ive put on about 2kgs and definitely back to having a sweet tooth but hoping that I can maintain here and if not I am going back on it ASAP. As you'll all understand I love being a fitter, thinner person who doesn't have to hide because i hate the way i look.
I now know people who are taking mj on the NHS, but I still haven't told any of them as the judgement from people is frankly appalling. I felt guilty but then I think of how hard it was for all of us, and how we all had to change how we ate/excercised and I'm just going to stop feeling guilty and think how well we have all done. My family know, but like all your loved ones, they have seen the effort we put in to make sure we lost. They don't think it is a cheating way to lose weight. Omg that was a rant, sorry! 😂 anyway im off to check out that thread so I can quietly rage 😂😂😂

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/01/2026 22:57

HNY @Ithinkimrincewind. Yes we all understand - I’m lucky and haven’t put any weight on getting to 5 - but I feel that on 2,5 I may.

But going to eat as norma and see what happens by end of jan

you will be the 2kg off so 4lbs easily. Far easier to get 4lb off than 4s

yes still judgement by all and it was hard and I lol back at my fat pics and think omfg and I NEVER want to go go back there

Happy new year all!

I spent the first part of the Christmas break being fed non stop by my in laws, to the point that I didn't really enjoy my Christmas dinner. After that I fell off the wagon a bit and I'm dreading weighing in again. But I did a really good food shop full of tasty veg and other nice stuff that I'm looking forward to cooking. I asked ai to make a meal plan which took the pressure off.

Back to work in the morning and can't sleep for worrying about it 😞

Guessing you’re a teacher too. I hate the return after holidays so much and never sleep the night before. This is not good for the weight loss journey!

I am maintaining atm but want to lose another half stone. Currently taking 8.5mg as was moving down, hoping for the last few pounds to slip away without effort (like blondes did). They haven’t 😂.

WitchDancer · 05/01/2026 07:51

Happy New Year!

I’m six months off MJ and unfortunately have put 3 of the 4 stone I lost back on. To be honest I haven’t been careful with what I ate as I had other stuff going on, but 2026 is going to be my year to really work on my body and get healthier by loosing weight. I just need to get through the cheese mountain first….

Timetofindme · 05/01/2026 08:05

Morning all! Im still jabbing and slowly losing. Have stalled over Christmas- dont think ive eaten loads but haven't prioritised protein and not drunk enough (water - i don't really drink alcohol) so getting back on it. Have been drinking more the last couple of days and focusing on that.

Much slower losing than most of you but just plodding away in the background.

Happy new year all!

Motnight · 05/01/2026 08:57

Happy New Year lovely people!

Still here! Went 11 days without jabbing. No real idea why. Have put on 4 lbs but trying to think like a normal person would and not just say fuck it and carry on eating! I am back on healthy eating as of today.

Like others dreading going back to work - tomorrow for me 😔. Especially since I was off ill before Xmas so in reality haven't worked munch for over 3 weeks. On the plus side working helps me both with exercise and eating healthily.

Off to catch up with this thread now 😀

I have started my day with two weetabix and milk, trying to tackle my awful eating and habits by eating regularly healthy stuff and tracking it all again.

Hello everyone - grasps in her once magnificent bosom which are now spaniels ears 😢😢😢

Christmas is when we fall off the wagon and keep falling off

but auggies we not gonna do that are we !!!

kicks butts

remember easier to get a few lbs off if gained then few stones

be good and hopefully those pesky pounds will be off end of jan/feb

I am really suprised I haven’t gained in the last 6mths of downing and same over Xmas

I am twitching at doing 2.5 - I feel I’m eating more biscuits crisps mice Xmas stuff

this is the food noise that I didn’t think I got but seems I do

@WitchDancer you had a huge change in the last few months and a lot going on. I’m sorry to hear you have gained 3 of the 4 stone but equally you said you haven’t been good

sadly this is a way of life for us. I will always have to count calories to make sure I don’t gain weight

if weight does go on to imm cut back

equally most of us are still on mj even if a low dose and you took great courage to come off it

OP posts:
WitchDancer · 05/01/2026 18:45

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun. Let’s face it, I lost 18 stone really…. Grin
I’ll get back on that wagon and will loose it. I don’t think I can ever afford to go back on MJ, but I’ve a better idea of what I should be eating so I’m hopeful it will be successful.

Talking of eating, I’m slightly concerned you’re eating mice…..
