@Clumsykitten That overweight category hits different when you have been in the obese category for a very long time. Well done you.

Thanks @jaelato1 - also yes to being cold. I think I’ve read somewhere that as well as insulation, it’s also a metabolism thing - I think our bodies try to fight the weight loss by trying to slow down the amount of energy we use.

narcASD · 24/01/2026 18:29

@Clumsykitten cottage cheese is really high in protein and low cal, I had some last night on water biscuits with chilli jam, actually was really nice. Well done for getting off that Plateau, took us a while didn't it, but we did it!
I weighed this morning at 12.6, which is 1lb less than my end of January target of 1/2 stone each month.

@jaelato1 I also feel the cold more, i used to always be sweating (literally), I can wear 2 layers now without looking like the Michelin man!

I brought a pair of size 12 gym leggings today, albeit they are stretch material I still felt amazing when they fit (got to wear a long t-shirt as my stomach still quite big).

Clumsykitten · 24/01/2026 20:21

Oh I’m just realising something, I am also sweating less. I feel better for that too. Thanks for that @narcASD as it’s another reminder of why this is worth it.

cheekysausage123 · 25/01/2026 07:47

That’s brilliant @Clumsykittenwell done! 👏

Also doing fabulously @narcASD🤩

I’m in camp freezing too, it’s been such a miserable winter, so damp and grey. And cold.

Lost 2.6lb here this week but been +1 and -1lb etc etc for the last month over and since Christmas, I’m now pretty sure I need to go up to 7.5mg after this pen.

StrongLikeMamma · 25/01/2026 19:07

Am 3lbs down this week on first 5mg. So going to go for another one this pm. Definitely feeling more suppression and knackered - which is a bit annoying for exercise but really want to shift another stone and a half before maintaining.

StrongLikeMamma · 25/01/2026 19:14

Clumsykitten · 24/01/2026 14:33

81.4kg for me, two days in a row so hoping it’s not just water. That’s 12st 11 for me and it’s just sneaked my BMI to 29.9 😍😍😍

Thanks all for the encouragement. I’ve bought some nice salady bits and some cottage cheese, so I’ve been doing better on grabbing something healthy. New year, new start.

Yay go @Clumsykitten 🙌

What protein coffee do you use?

Sorry I didn’t see your message it’s TeamRH vanilla protein power which I mix with a bit of milk then add to my coffee. I’ve tried a few and that’s the only one I like.

I’m glad the weather 5mg is working for you, shame the tiredness comes with it. I moved up to 6.25mg fri and suppression is slowly coming back

Not posted in a while. Been a very slow loser! But 1st stone down! Feeling chuffed but 2 more to go! Everyone sounds like they are doing well! 😀

I’m a slow loser to also lost 1 stone, I’d rather lose slow than have nasty side effects though. I still want to lose about another 2 stone too. Well done xx

I sort of wonder if the tiredness is lack of calories and perimenopause too.
Am mostly knackered anyway!

My cycle has gotten even shorter this month - 3.5 weeks only this month. Am usually a 5 week type. But again, could be peri 🙄

jaelato1 · 26/01/2026 18:55

@StrongLikeMamma well done you. Hope the tiredness phase passes soon

@cheekysausage123That 1lbs loss and gain is the worst 😫. It does sounds like upping your dose is the right move.

@StrongLikeMamma I'm in peri too, always knackered, are you on HRT? I'm just about to start patches.

I've got turkey neck now, hope it fades a bit as really aging, also tops of my arms and inner thighs have loose skin too, I'm going weight training as well as cardio, might book a PT session to help with what weights I should be doing, hod knows what my stomach will look like when I am slim! My legs are really slim already, sadly I'm apple shaped and even at my smallest I never had a waist, also makes me look bigger.

Tried HRT a while ago but came off it as it didn’t suit me.
Have been seeing a PT for the last 18months so don’t have too much wobble thank goodness. She is worth her weight in gold IMO.

I want to come off WLIs when I reach my target weight and therefore have been mindful of protein/ fibre consumption as well as strength training throughout.

Eating so few calories and training is knackering, but am knackered anyway! At least this way I feel less worried about my health as I age.

Hi all, just been reading about people feeling cold and it's the same with me and I'm not one for feeling the cold usually it's normally heat I can't stand.

Anyway after a bit of a plateau over Christmas and the new year I'm back losing again, another 1.6kg down this last week I'm pleased to say.

SW 129.1 Kg
CW 103.1 Kg
Down 26 Kg so that's 4 st 1 lb lost I can't quite believe how well it's going I had an initial target of getting below 100kg but I'm revising that now to 78kg which would put me into a BMI of healthy weight
I started with a BMI of 40.8 now I'm 32.8 and aiming for 25 BMI so halfway there!!!

Clumsykitten · 27/01/2026 13:34

Getting my protein in, and it does feel better!

Hey guys! I've been taking a break as I'm due to start IVF next week if meds arrive in time, but my total loss was 13.5kg, took me from a BMI of 31 to 26.6 which I'm so pleased with! I've stepped away from the scales now as I know with meds my weight will go all over the place.

I've also been totally freezing which is so annoying! I had to get a little plug in radiator for under my desk at home 😅

Sad to be stopping the weight loss but I need to get on with IVF and I'm glad to know that the injections work for me and will be there if I need them in future.

My focus now is on an anti inflammatory diet and keeping nicely hydrated!

jaelato1 · 27/01/2026 16:59

@Moosey898I wish you all the best of luck with your IVF Journey. I pray it will be good news for you and your DH because you deserve it🙏

@ClumsykittenProtein and fibre is life!

@MeandmypoochAlways smashing it!

Edited

it could very well be, I don’t get periods as I have this mirena coil in, bjt now and again I get the breast tenderness, the breast tenderness has come back and I also had it 4 weeks ago so I’m going to see if there is a pattern x

Wow exciting times I wish you all the luck with your IVF journey. I’ve also been freezing all the time and hubby just says well it’s winter lol. We would love for you to keep us updated xx

Well done @Moosey898 and good luck with the IVF, you've done incredible and do kept us posted on your journey.

yesterday I had what I can only describe as a fatty day!
quarter pounder meal at lunch, 3x mini bags chocolate fingers, sharing bag of maltesers, steak with fried rice and some veg, 8 dark chocolate digestives, grab bag of ready salted and 2 full sugar cokes!

can't honestly say I enjoyed much of it, I just felt so fed up of Greek yogurt, chicken and healthy foods. Back on track today, has anyone else had a day like this?
