@AlicesMum2025 i hear you. I was feeling like that last week (and got lots of lovely support from people on here). We’re all around the six month mark. That’s a long time we’ve been working on it! And it’s not the magic wand that people like to say it is, it’s hard work. But we’re all doing well, and sticking at it, which is good.

HereIGoOnceMore · 12/11/2025 15:54

I hear you too and agree with Ginger - it’s hard to keep on keeping on at times. I was also a bit down last week and am trying to weigh on alternate days to make myself feel less grumpy about glacial progress.

What I will say, is that whilst the scales are moving more slowly, I’m noticing a big difference in clothes sizing. Most things are now too big, including the new bras I bought for my summer holiday. We’re like flowers that shrink, not grow. You don’t see us move, but one day we will bloom.

SignedUpAgain · 12/11/2025 17:38

This thread is so supportive.

my DH is very naturally slim, neve dieted in his life. Thinks it’s sooo easy.
makes constant remarks about fat people - apparently he’s joking.

he supports me being on this journey. But so out of order with his remarks.

“have you put on weight?”
”you’re probably feeling unwell cos you had a piece of birthday cake”
”you’re eating too much’
”did you even drink that water that you’re carrying around’
”are you eating that?”

he has always judged what I eat, but it’s like bloody diet police. He has no feckin clue.

he believes the garbage online that MJ is a wonder drug. And everyone loses weight super fast - except me. ( and thankfully a lot of people on this thread).

Gingercar · 12/11/2025 18:48

I think I’d rip his head off! I couldn’t put up with that. I’d fall off the wagon if my husband kept saying that.

Placestogo · 12/11/2025 19:05

@SignedUpAgain oh! Your DH needs a talking to! Can you tell him it is hurtful when he comments like this?

Apprenante · 12/11/2025 22:30

What Gingercar said, @SignedUpAgain. Possibly his head or a portion of his anatomy a bit further down.

SignedUpAgain · 13/11/2025 00:11

I’ve really tried to bite my tongue thru all these comments from him.

he really doesn’t get that it’s not helpful. It makes it worse.

him saying it makes me want to quit sometimes.

Anyway I plod on.

was going to take a week off but since I’ve stalled a bit. I think I’ll go up to 10mg tonight and hopefully not suffer too much SE this weekend as I’m visiting family.

Gingercar · 13/11/2025 09:01

I’m sorry, it must be hard trying to ignore him and keep going. Well done! I’m about to go up to 10mg too. I’ve a golden dose to do, which may not be enough as I’ve chipped into it. For the last 12 days I e taken 4mg every 4 days. I still don’t have suppression but don’t feel quite as ravenous as I did doing 7.5 weekly.

ElsieJay · 13/11/2025 11:10

Experimenting with 3.75 every 5 days which seems to work well with side effects ( nausea and tiredness ) over the last couple of weeks. Loss is still slow though - next weekly weigh in will be tomorrow.
Think will go for the full 5mg with the new one next week. Was hoping not to have to buy another but looking inevitable 🙄.
Well done all you lovely losers !

Kbr22 · 14/11/2025 05:05

Help needed, went up to 10mg this last week after my 2nd jab, and I have struggled to eat anything. I am in a very hot country watching a sporting event that means a lot of walking and no shade and I am struggling to keep up. Back home on Wednesday, and am wondering whether I should jab today or not. I have never messed with doses before and kept going and the SE usually calm down after a couple of weeks of increasing my dose, but feeling so rough. I am with a large family group and they all keep having a go at me for not eating, and saying I am making myself ill with dieting. No one knows apart from DH that I am on MJ. I know you lot will have good advice, so my question really is should I leave the jab today and do it Wednesday when I will be coming home. But what would I do the week after? Should I try and do half a dose today and half next Friday, then go back to 10 the week after. Sorry for being a wuz but never messed with doses before! The only good is that for the first time since May I have lost a full kg this week, after only losing on average 0.5 so that has been a bonus!! I am five hours ahead of most of you so will wait until this afternoon to jab or not. I love you lot and know you give brilliant advice xxx

FlorenceNightshade · 14/11/2025 05:40

@Kbr22 it sounds like 10mg might be too strong for you. I had similar when I took 5mg, was totally wiped out and struggled to eat so I went down to 3.75mg and stayed there until I hit my goal, now back to 2.5mg.

In your position I would either take a lower dose like 5mg knowing I can “top-up” if I felt it wasn’t working or extend the gap between doses but still take a lower dose when I restarted. I wouldn’t take 10mg all in one go again if I felt that bad!

Are you managing to keep well hydrated? If you really can’t face eating then maybe a little break is needed to help you reset and find a middle ground.

TreesOfGreen99 · 14/11/2025 07:52

My advice is to delay the jab until you feel better and can eat. It doesn’t have to be today or next Weds, you may decide on Monday to take your next dose as you recover over the weekend.
However, whenever you take it, I would also reduce it to 7.5 again (remember there’s still 10 working its way through your system anyway),
then look at a small increase in a week or two but only if you still feel you need to.

lissie123 · 14/11/2025 08:13

Good morning
can I celebrate with you all me now being within the BMI health range!!! I now have a 24.8 BMI and haven’t been in a healthy weight range for 25 years- basically since having kids.

HereIGoOnceMore · 14/11/2025 08:17

I agree with the posters above. It sounds like you need to focus on keeping hydrated and food as fuel to get you through the heat and activities of the next few days, so delaying your dose and resuming at a lower level would be the healthy thing to do.

One of the best things I have found with Mounjaro is that holidays don’t have to ruin the journey. Focus on making the best choices you can whilst you are away, knowing that you can get back on track when you are back.

I hope you feel better soon and are able to enjoy your trip.

HereIGoOnceMore · 14/11/2025 08:18

Congratulations @lissie123 great progress. Take a bow!!!

ElsieJay · 14/11/2025 08:36

Congratulations, @lissie123 !

TreesOfGreen99 · 14/11/2025 08:53

Congratulations @lissie123 !

WhynotJanet · 14/11/2025 08:56

@Kbr22 I would delay having the jab until you come home. Hope you feel better soon.

@lissie123 Well done for getting there. That’s my goal too, rather than a specific dress size. So happy for you!

WhynotJanet · 14/11/2025 09:04

Yesterday I took my second 10mg, also weighed myself and I’ve lost another 3lbs, so half way to reaching my goal🙂.
One NSV I’ve only just started realised is that my chronic low level sinus pain has disappeared. I’ve suffered with this for years and realised that I hadn’t had it for months. I knew MJ works on inflammation but took a while for me to twig.

HKG · 14/11/2025 09:45

Congratulations @lissie123 !!! I love it each time one of us gets ‘there’ wherever there is for each of us. Huge well done and I hope you savour this lovely feeling!

I am 2.4lbs down today taking me to just over 3 stone lost in total and bang on 30 BMI. Very pleased, I still have another 35lb to go but I want to start tracking calories to make sure I’m eating enough as a bit concerned about the regain. Only one more lb to the elephant heart!

thank you you lovely lot! Couldn’t do it without you!

Placestogo · 14/11/2025 09:52

Well done @HKG@WhynotJanet and @lissie123
amazing victories! 🥳🥳

ElsieJay · 14/11/2025 11:41

Great updates , @WhynotJanet and @HKG . 👏
1.5lbs off for me this week, so inching towards my arbitrary target of 9st 10lbs. This would mean a BMI of 24.9, the highest in the “healthy weight” category but I’d be quite content ecstatic with that.
Doubt I’ll be there by Christmas at this rate, but hey ho ( ho ho ho 🎅🏼).
@notgonnafail - apologies, I missed your post among the lost toddlers , hay bales and elephants appendages .
Put your health first , it’s no fun dealing with side effects and constantly feeling “off”. Have some relaxing time with your DH and find a new way forward 💐 xx.

Foreveronaplane · 14/11/2025 16:51

Well done all you losers 👏🏻👏🏻

Apprenante · 14/11/2025 16:56

Brilliant @lissie123!

@HKG do you think we could find a photo of an elephant's heart? I found the bale of hay that Gingercar posted very positive.

@WhyNotJanet great news about your sinus NSV. I think my sense of smell is better, maybe that's linked to reduced inflammation in that area?

@ElsieJay you're doing really well! How much more do you want to lose? I'm looking longingly at 'overweight' . I think healthy would be too low for my age.

Have a great weekend everyone, try not to fall in too many puddles. Torrential rain here 💦 💦💦

Apprenante · 14/11/2025 16:59

Oh I found a photograph. All I can say is .... don't! It was a bit gruesome.
