I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

I'm finding it really tricky to know when to eat. I've not yet been unable to finish what I've made because I've just made small amounts. I'm just left amazed that I'm ok afterwards.

I'm hoping it will all become normal soon and I'll get to learn this new way.

I'm thinking about my food consumption because I don't have enough distractions at the moment. But it's more in a theoretical way. Rather than previously hunger dictating it. And being unable to concentrate because I'm getting hangry. Making me wonder if my hangriness is blood sugar related. Anyone know?

thank you everyone,

I presume my pen will arrive tomorrow so I'll maybe start tomorrow!

I found my first week like that but I didnt thonk about food at all either, I had between 500 and 800 calories but this week I feel a bit more normal. I still cant eat much so I just plan a breakfast, lunch, dinner within my calories and trying to get as much protein in as possible.

JustBeach · 12/11/2025 19:10

@Springbaby2023i started yesterday , and haven’t had any side effects.. maybe very very slight nausea but i do sometimes get that anyway. I also didn’t think I had any suppression, I do feel kind of hungry .. or maybe just empty? I had lentil Dahl and naan bread for tea and normally would polish off a whole naan and big portion of rice and Dahl, but I only had a very small portion. I’m on around 700 cals today and could probably pick at some food if it was there- but not bothered. I’m not sure if it’s psychosomatic though!

Wethers121 · 12/11/2025 20:06

Just got prescribed and taking delivery tomorrow. Sounds silly but I’ve been motivated all week to already start eating healthier in anticipation. Well I already eat healthy but am avoiding the snacking which is my downfall. Excited and slightly nervous. 😬

jaelato1 · 12/11/2025 13:48

@Springbaby2023 Some people suppression doesnt kick in until few days and sometimes up to even week 2 of Jab. While waiting though, up your protein and fibre intake and eat clean.

Thank you that’s helpful! I’m looking at all these low calorie amounts and thinking wow I’m nowhere near that, I’m just eating normally really. I guess I’ve also been conscious that Tuesdays and Wednesdays are my evenings of sport and exercise so also don’t want to cut anything too drastically on those days to start with. Tomorrow evening will be interesting with no sport as will be interested to see if I actually want to snack!

FASDE1517 · 13/11/2025 15:01

Just checking back in. Well done everyone.
Week one I lost 8.5lb and week two was 2.5lb. part of me wants to speed through the process and have massive losses but I know a lb or two a week is surely better for keeping it off and changing habits.
Still mostly symptom free (aside from a horrible first few days) and currently debating whether I want to stick with 2.5mg or move up to 5.

NoNewClothes · 13/11/2025 16:07

Well done @FASDE1517 , I’m about to take my first this evening so it’s encouraging to read.

Regarding quick loss - think gallstones risk!

RoundandSad · 13/11/2025 18:05

Jab tomorrow and weigh in tomorrow

I've had horrible RLS started a separate thread this medication is cumulative so I'm worried it will get worse

I was out for dinner last night for a friend's birthday and thought I had good suppression, but surprised how much I was able to eat I actually had to try really hard not to it was only fish and and veggies though luckily they just gave me one artistic looking potato 😂

I have an unusual work at home day tomorrow so I could inject in the morning if I wanted to is that wise it's possible. I'll be called in later in the afternoon. ? I'm still really worried when are you out of the woods in terms of not having a really serious stomach upset maybe you never are. This would be my second injection maybe I should just leave it till the evening.

JustBeach · 13/11/2025 18:17

Im on day 2 now. Still no side effects- I was so worried about them I’m honestly surprised I didn’t worry them into existence! I’ve really felt more suppression today. It’s an odd feeling, I could eat but I just don’t really feel like it! I think I’m going to have to force myself to eat something this evening. I haven’t felt any hunger , but I do feel strangely empty ! Definitely stronger than yesterday.

Yes its a strange feeling. I feel empty but not hungry, I think about eating something but have no desire to eat. I definitely get full quickly. Day 12 for me.

icanhazwillpower · 13/11/2025 19:14

Hellooo… side effects so far for me, bit burpy, more tired, sore neck/body on day 1 but fine now. I’ve not snacked on naughty things instead reached for watermellon fans and banana. Tracking cals on my fitness pal app and they’re roughly 800-900 a day but i’m not feeling hungry. How much exercise are you all doing? I am shocked by some if your huge weight losses in week 1! Maybe i’m too lazy and need to get to the gym? Should have known i can’t get away with just dieting alone….

PatheticDistraction · 13/11/2025 19:27

2nd jab tomorrow & I feel as though the suppression is wearing off - I haven't calorie counted at all this week, just eaten less, I've still had the odd treat, so I'll see how the weigh in goes. I'm just hoping the effect gets a bit greater as I go on, I plan to start in earnest after Christmas doing 800-1000cals & up the exercise

RoundandSad · 13/11/2025 20:34

Some peoples losses are amazing. I'll be surprised if I lose even a couple of pounds.

Still wondering about the injection timing tomorrow I feel as if I've seen people say the second one is worse than the first one

I read too much on here about it!

My second one was much better than the first. I could hardly eat at all, I have 2 st to lose to get to a BMI of 25 and I lost 6lb that first week. I also had a migraine, stomach upset one morning and generally felt a bit hazy for the 1st 4 days. After 2nd one I have had more energy and have been able to eat slightly more. I have lost about 2.5lb on day 5.

Springbaby2023 · 13/11/2025 22:09

@icanhazwillpower I had a sore neck too, was really odd! I exercise quite a bit but then I make up for it by eating more. I don’t think I could sustain the exercise I do on as few calories as you are eating.

Springbaby2023 · 13/11/2025 22:17

@RoundandSad have you tried magnesium for RLS?

BlueMum16 · 13/11/2025 22:32

So Ive had first weigh in today and lost about 3.5lbs which I'm happy with.

Second jab tonight. DH did it again for me but in my other arm. It stung a bit but I'm tired and grumpy today.

No sides affects so far. Felts 'weird' last Friday/Saturday but I think I was just too aware and looking for symptoms immediately after the jab.

I usually eat healthy so not really changed anything except less snacks (none until tonight) smaller portions and a massive wine reduction.

As a reminder I'm on Wegovy not MJ.

Good luck everyone. Love reading your updates even if I don't have time to comment/answer questions.

diggitydoo · 13/11/2025 22:37

I just did my first jab. Barely felt it! And now my teeth feel weird and I have a ringing in my ears

Fair play to you doing the exercise that’s really good well done to you. It does sounds like a key part to doing this properly as lots of ppl mentioning keeping muscle and toning is important. I’ll dust off the cross trainer this weekend and get moving.. not confident to run in public or gym just yet..

It may be that i am really inactive so my body is coping with less calories. I lounge about a whole lot as I work from home. Only really do a school run, walk the dog or do the aldi shop that’s it! You’re doing great being sporty and i’m sure the jab will suppress your appetite in time :)

You got this! Try not to overthink it. I’m not expecting any loss either and surprised by some of these big losses week one but everyone's different and some bodies just react faster and start dropping the weight.

I got heartburn tonight perhaps the banana and laying on my side but a minty rennie helped. Also ordered something called psyllum husk ready just incase any digestion issues.

what vitamins are ppl taking? I have vit d, vit c, magnesium, and a feroglobin ‘gentle’ iron tablet as we don’t eat much red meat and also cod liver oil.

SexyFrenchDepression · 13/11/2025 23:12

@icanhazwillpower I am taking b12, magnesium glycinate, marine collagen and creatine. I have ordered some of the nutrition geeks collagen glow up powder to replace the marine collagen as the reviews are amazing and it also has 12g of protein in each spoonful. I may start taking fibre tablets next week as I feel like I am not eating enough.
