I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

@icanhazwillpower I am taking b12, magnesium glycinate, marine collagen and creatine. I have ordered some of the nutrition geeks collagen glow up powder to replace the marine collagen as the reviews are amazing and it also has 12g of protein in each spoonful. I may start taking fibre tablets next week as I feel like I am not eating enough.

Oh cool I’ve not tried collagen or creatine before. I’m noticing my diet is not very fibre filled too so hoping the psyllium husk helps balance things out.

Definitely check out the nutrition geeks collagen, I get my magnesium from them also as it was the one recommended to me. The creatine someone recommended on here and my PT mentioned it also. I am hoping it'll help me continue to see good results at the gym.

NoNewClothes · 14/11/2025 00:00

Thanks for all the supplement recommendations.

First jab this evening for me, eeek.

Putting a reminder here to take my measurements in the morning!!

Springbaby2023 · 14/11/2025 07:45

I’ve ordered some creatine. Was already taking vit d, iron + b12, multivitamin and magenesium. Also got some electrolytes for the days I exercise and I have to say I woke up the next day feeling so much better, can’t believe I didn’t think to use them before regardless of MJ.

SexyFrenchDepression · 14/11/2025 08:29

Made the mistake of weighing 2 days in a row, generally I do every other day but usually I weigh my last one for the week on Saturday but I'm away this weekend. Gone up 0.2kg, I was upset but thats ridiculous so I had a word with myself 😂 8lb in 2 weeks is amazing, I'd be so happy to lose 4lb a week so I need to enjoy my weekend now!!

JustBeach · 14/11/2025 08:56

I’m on day 3 today and excited to weigh in next Tuesday! I’m trying to hold off a mid week weight in. I do feel much less bloated and have more energy already. I need to up the exercise though to keep hold of my muscle!

IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 14/11/2025 09:05

Can I join too?!

I’m starting Mounjaro tonight, I’m a bit nervous but at 5’6 and 14.5 stone I need to do something for my mental & physical health. If I could get to 11st I’d be over the moon.

Springbaby2023 · 14/11/2025 09:15

@IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble Welcome, you are the exact same starting weight as me. I started on Tuesday, was super nervous but it’s been anti climatic so far, no side effects other than some muscle aches and no real noticeable difference to appetite as of yet. Good luck!

IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 14/11/2025 09:53

@Springbaby2023 Thanks, that is good to hear. I hope it is the same for me. Everything always aches so that would be no different!

Have you changed your diet much?
I really need to change the way I eat, I’m a sucker for anything sweet & am greedy! I’m don’t want to waste my money so am committed to really changing things.

BookPearl · 14/11/2025 15:52

Hi everyone! I'd love to join you all on this journey. I took my first dose of Mounjaro on Tuesday afternoon, as soon as I received the parcel from WePrescribe.
Starting weight is 86kg, BMI 31.6, dress size 18. Hoping to get down to 62kg/ dress size 12.
The only side effects so far have been some mild stomach cramps. I already feel some hunger suppression today; I haven't felt the intense hunger I normally feel throughout the day nor the lightheadedness when my bloodsugar drops.

NoNewClothes · 14/11/2025 16:02

Hi @BookPearl, we’re weight & height twins, and I just had my first dose last night!

One thing that’s become immediately apparent how much a thoughtless picky type eater I am. That revelation worth the cost of my first pen alone.

Springbaby2023 · 14/11/2025 17:15

@IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble I’ve not yet other than trying to each more protein. My issue is with carbs / savoury snacks, and so far I’ve not felt any different in terms of cravings or suppression so while I’m trying to each healthier, it’s not so far been any easier than on any other diet! But hoping that at least being more mindful of what I eat will stand me in good stead when it does kick in, really hoping that’s after the second jab rather than having to wait four weeks for 5mg!

CloudCreusa · 14/11/2025 17:34

I started taking Mounjaro just over 2 weeks ago and I’m already 10lbs down! I have a just amount of weight to lose, as my SW was 20 stone 5 lbs.

I’m so happy with this but I know it will slow down soon! I already feel sooooo much better though and some of my clothes fit better.

I’m loving not thinking about food though! I cannot believe how much food noise I had constantly and this is having a huge positive impact on my mental health.

I had a massive sweet tooth and snacked a lot but I’m not snacking at all now. I’ve seen improvements in my sleep, my energy levels, my mood and my skin!

I didn’t expect weight loss injections to have such positive side effects - especially after scaring myself reading all the negative ones! Luckily, other than a bit of trapped wind/bloating, I haven’t had anything else.

l’m overjoyed! Especially as my main reason for weigh loss is to try to get pregnant.

I decided to go with Juniper as I wanted an app with lots of support. I’ll pop my referral discount code incase this inspires anyone! REF-XXFB-4PLM

PatheticDistraction · 14/11/2025 17:41

First weigh in today - 4lbs lost, which is fine. 2nd jab done & I think the suppression has increased again. I had lunch out & shared3 tapas plates with my SIL, I definitely ate less than I normally would. I took a banana out as a snack, but didn't need it.

I'm not hungry for dinner, so might opt for a small snack instead. No side effects whatsoever.

TipsyCoralPeer · 14/11/2025 19:51

Hi all - please can I join?

I’m on jab 2, and finding the side effects are quite strong for me, even on 2.5mg. Diarrhoea, sulphur burps, basically no appetite, feeling constantly sick for the first few days.

I’m losing weight because I’m barely eating for the first half of the week (2kg down so far) but no idea how I will keep my protein levels up feeling this unwell.

Any advice?

Springbaby2023 · 14/11/2025 20:12

Love this @CloudCreusa go you!

@TipsyCoralPeer that sounds tough, have you tried protein shakes?

tobee · 14/11/2025 21:19

Was a bit freaked out yesterday.

Was pretty hungry for my dinner and was like "hallo, is this wearing off already?" Put together a cold poached salmon fillet (one those thin lozenge size ones in a two pack) on some freekah, lentil and brown rice with a bit of feta, a bit of avocado and a dollop of baba ganoush. And it was a smallish amount by my usual standards. And I just didn't want to finish it. It tasted scrummy but it was too much. Normally I'd be able to eat pretty much 2 of those salmon fillets. Couldn't eat more than half of one.

I've been testing what I can and can't eat. Tried a spicy chicken tandoori thing tonight. We'll see if I get any side effects; indigestion or whatever.

RoundandSad · 14/11/2025 21:35

Today has not been a good day in other ways so I knew what was coming and I decided I better jab later

I noticed I was really hungry this morning like that annoying hunger when you think I shouldn't be hungry but I am

Also weigh in day only lost a pound.

Springbaby2023 · 14/11/2025 22:28

@RoundandSad sorry to hear you’ve not had a good day. Is this your second jab? Remember 2.5 is all about getting your body used to it rather than losing weight, so being a pound down is still in the right direction. It’s a marathon rather than a quick sprint! At least that’s what I keep trying to tell myself

RoundandSad · 14/11/2025 22:44

Thank you
Yes, this is my second
Not sure what I can really do this weekend as I'm so nervous with all the stories I've heard about really bad stomach upset like the really bad ones

And I feel a bit stressed because I think, at what point do you feel normal and okay to schedule your normal things?

I posted on here before and said I wondered if it was better to start on 5 mg just to get all the nastiness out of the way I think they do that in America

diggitydoo · 15/11/2025 08:09

First day yesterday and to be honest appetite and eating wise I didn’t really feel any different to normal. Special k, fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, peanut butter on toast mid morning, lentil and veg soup for lunch, apple and nuts mid afternoon, bean, veg and rice burrito for dinner. And a g and t in the evening . That’s pretty normal for me! I was expecting it to make me eat less

tobee · 15/11/2025 14:23

What I've not managed to crack yet is cooking a meal for everyone. This week I've been too self absorbed about mounjaro and me. Everyone else here is ok about it, but I miss family eating.

I suppose I'll get back in the swing.

Springbaby2023 · 15/11/2025 15:59

@diggitydoo I took my first on Tuesday and today is the first day I’ve noticed any form of suppression, though still nowhere near what most people seem to have. Early days!

RoundandSad · 15/11/2025 17:46

My second was last night can't say I'm
getting as much suppression as I did on the first two days

got my period though - might be linked

some say you wont feel any suppresion till it kicks in

MellowDreamer · 15/11/2025 21:42

Second dose last night, first weigh in this morning, lost 4lb which I’m very happy with. In terms of appetite suppression, I’m still trying to work out how it’s affecting me I still feel hungry but I don’t get the usual growling tummy. I’m still enjoying food… I think about food but I can easily distract myself if that makes sense. Eg The biggest test for me was at work as I sit at a desk all day and however busy I am if I get a craving, I find it really hard to ignore. I’ve really really noticed I’ve been able to put it to one side this week so no snacking!! . Calories I’d say I’m doing 1000 to 1200 a day. Interested to see whether I get more suppression this week. Side effects – none so far really other than a little bit of heartburn in the evenings. I am on Wegovy by the way.
