I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

Sorry I just massively overthink everything!

Believe me e, so do I. I also watched a you tube video - I just searched golden dose.

RoundandSad · 22/11/2025 20:01

I've been feeling rough all day and sure it's the MJ no other symptoms not likely to be a bug

Browsing on here I was quite worried to see that some people will have sudden episodes of sickness or diarrhoea or whatever when they've been on it months

I'm definitely not going up to the higher dose next month

Maybe that if I have more than three episodes of feeling unwell, I'll stop. I don't know I'm just very anxious about this. It took me more than a year to decide because I can't believe what side-effects people are putting up with I must've been so lucky in my first two weeks

Today I just feel weak and ill

Springbaby2023 · 22/11/2025 20:58

Is everyone switching suppliers for each new one? I ordered my second pen last night from a different supplier to first and was only £105 again (I say only, I know that’s still huge but I thought I’d be paying £200 a month!)

I’m not going to try the golden dose for this one while it’s all still new but will look into it for the next one once I’m more confident with it (I’m a worrier too).

@RoundandSad sorry you are feeling ill. I’ve also been off the last couple of days and can’t decide whether it’s MJ, PMS, or just a cold. Like I feel cold and tired all the time, but then it is cold and my two year old doesn’t sleep. I have felt snappy - but is that because I’m due on in a few days or it is hanger. And then muscle aches again is it the jab or am I just doing too much. It’s so easy to second guess everything but it’s really difficult when you think it might be the jabs because you think why am I paying all this money to feel so crap. Really hope you’re feeling better soon.

Thank you for those clear instructions @putthehamsterbackinitscage.

How did you choose which syringes to buy?

I did my golden dose yesterday. I bought these (which were recommended on a thread here) and worked perfectly.

@RoundandSadsorry you aren’t feeling well, I hope you feel better soon!
@TheHappyHedgehogthanks! I am tempted to get a box! I’m just a worrier! Are they sterile or do you have to do anything to them?

I’m also giving some thought to moving up to 5ml and counting clicks to give myself half a dose so the pen will last 2months.. but again overthinking!!

I am worried about ordering from somewhere else as I was refused before getting accepted with MedExpress.

I would love to save some money by switching for sure!!

tobee · 22/11/2025 21:36

Thank you again @putthehamsterbackinitscage and @TheHappyHedgehog.

I'm definitely going to look into other suppliers especially for the higher doses.

I'm not currently sure which suppliers have subscription models, which have discount codes and where you can get them, how long delivery times are and their methods of accepting orders.

I've seen plenty of posters on here saying they've changed suppliers many times and that it's very easy. The trust pilot reviews on monj look useful as well.

tobee · 22/11/2025 21:41

When there were threads when people were panicking about the September price hike a few people were ordering pens from a few companies at once iirc.

Maybe you could start a few consultations simultaneously @SexyFrenchDepression and see who accepts you before you need to order? I don't know if that would work.

Presumably MedExpress can't be the only ones who'd accept you. I can see why you'd be cautious of course.

RoundandSad · 22/11/2025 21:42

I have discount codes, but I checked and the person who gets them will see my name which I'm not happy with it gets me a discount too, but I have to really think about what I'm doing if I spend the full amount I suppose

I'm ashamed of taking this medication
Great, if people aren't, but I am

I'm now wondering if I've made myself ill Does that panic ever? Go away if you keep having side-effects effect? I suppose this isn't the place to ask because we're all new.

SexyFrenchDepression · 22/11/2025 21:47

@tobee I guess also now I am on it that it may be easier to get anyway from alternative suppliers. I want someone who is happy prescribing down to about BMI 21/22, MedExpress say they are but I have heard stories about them refusing at 24.

@roundandsad I have a £40 off referal I can share with you but not sure if it then tells me your name.

Springbaby2023 · 22/11/2025 21:49

Think I’ve underwater today - 1300 calories and I’m feeling very snack. Burnt more than 2600 calories so a big deficit still. Having wine and crisps which I know isn’t great but I feel for two weeks in it’s ok, I’m still learning, at least that’s what I’m telling myself.

RoundandSad · 22/11/2025 21:50

@SexyFrenchDepression that's very kind thank you
I think it's because they don't want people sharing it on forums ideally do they? Or maybe they don't care.
But as it's not anonymous, I can't really do it. I don't want to take the risk that one of the mum's here recognise me.

Springbaby2023 · 22/11/2025 22:19

*undereating not underwater 😅

tobee · 22/11/2025 23:17

I was very confused there @Springbaby2023 !

RoundandSad · 23/11/2025 13:41

I feel really draggy and depressed how is everyone else?

tobee · 23/11/2025 15:03

I feel ok. I've been keeping an eye on how it's affecting my mh though as I'm prone to anxiety and that has led to mild depressive symptoms in the past.

I've felt a bit more down this week as I've felt like the second dose has less tangible effects for me and I've read a lot to reassure me that this is very common and not to get it out of proportion. That flipped switch feeling I had after jab one just hasn't occurred this week.

Sorry you're feeling less than great @RoundandSad. Remember to be kind to yourself. It's easy to forget with everything else going on.

RoundandSad · 23/11/2025 16:32

@tobee you look after yourself too

Being honest, the more I read about side-effects the more I'm wondering why i chose this I was losing weight before just very slowly and that hasn't changed, I've lost 3 1/2 pounds which is better, but I'm not sure it's worth all this

Definitely not going up to 5 mg if I don't feel better tomorrow I'll have to think about how I space the dose

I did read about side-effects before

I can't really remember, but I think it was because I know someone who is so enthusiastic about it that i changed mind and I thought I would bite the bullet it's one of those things that if you don't try it, you won't know but I sometimes think we don't even hear from the people who with the worst side effects

KitKate80 · 23/11/2025 19:11

Hi all! First post but been following for a few days. End of week 1 and 2nd jab due tonight but I sort of don’t want to do it even though I’ve lost a few pounds.

The suppression wore off yesterday a bit and totally today, I’ve felt happy for the first time all week today. I enjoyed my food, had energy back, had 2 glasses of wine. Still only 1600 calories though so not a binge.

Also decided to quit vaping at the same time so moved down to 0% nicotine a few days ago. And my period just came today a week early (peri menopause). I keep crying at nothing and sleeping all the time. Can’t face the aches and pains and nausea on top of this again.

Think I can delay a couple of days? Can’t work out what’s causing what right now.

RoundandSad · 23/11/2025 19:19

@KitKate80 hiya
so did you feel unhappy from your fitst jab? It sounds like there's a lot going on so yeah, that's complicated.

do you normally get aches and pains and nausea with your period? Or do you think that was the jab?

I'm thinking to delay or even reduce the dose of it because how I felt the second half of Friday, then Saturday, then today. Was not worth. We've had a 3 mile walk drove to the coast. It should've been really nice. But I was just dragging myself along.

i've just had dinner and it struck me that it was harder to eat something healthy than it would be on a normal day. Because I feel so low.

I nearly started a separate thread to see how normal this is and if it passes but this stuff stays in your system for a really long time so I have to make a decision what to do next

is anyone using that Shotsy app to figure out the levels it really feels like somebody's wired something wrong in my brain

KitKate80 · 23/11/2025 19:32

@RoundandSad Sorry you’re feeling low too. I thought it was just me as haven’t found any other mentions of this as a side effect.

I do usually get bad PMT, but not the aches and nausea and sleepiness of the last week.

I also think the jab is making me feel low as food and drink are such a massive part of my life, now I’ve taken away the enjoyment from them I feel quite sad. I need to think about that as its a tough thing to imagine long term

RoundandSad · 23/11/2025 19:39

@KitKate80 I found quite a lot of people talking about it on Reddit not so much here

I am not worried about the pleasure and food thing because I was on a massively reduced diet anyway, it sort of happened by default because of work stress. I ended up on one meal a day yeah, I'm not really interested in cooking anyway chocolate is my big weakness. I can't have it in the house but DH doesn't really do sugar so that's easy enough

I often wonder how I got fat when I'm not that interested in food but I think being short and just really prone to holding on to weight doesn't help

But yeah, it's definitely a thing and I looked at Reddit and some people will say it passes and other dont there's no way to know unless you stick with it I guess

I'm just really surprised to have this side effect at jab number three if it doesn't go away, I won't be able to manage

I had terrible restless legs the first week and that went away so fingers crossed

I hope you feel better too

JustBeach · 23/11/2025 20:59

@KitKate80sorry you are feeling rubbish. You have to weigh up if the negatives are work it for you. I quite vaping last year and was super tearful, emotional and also achy- so that could explain some of what you are feeling maybe?
@RoundandSad, sounds like you’re not having a good time of it either! I guess with any medication people will react differently , I hope the side effects start to reduce for you.

Springbaby2023 · 23/11/2025 21:59

@KitKate80 Sorry you’re feeling rubbish! I know what you mean, I am almost missing how I would look forward to eating and drinking what I wanted. But then that caused constant anguish and guilt so I’m hoping in time when the weight comes off I won’t have that guilt and that will make up for how I felt.

That said, I’ve enjoyed food too much this weekend. Thinking that maybe I should have opted for 5mg next time rather than 2.5mg. I’ve technically not finished the consultation as need to do a video and want to do it when kids aren’t here, wondering if it’s too late to change but also don’t want full suppression over Christmas. Might see what the scales say tomorrow and also look at whether I could change my jab date to closer to the weekend. Anyone else not feeling loads of suppression?

Pigeonpair1 · 23/11/2025 22:22

Third injection done Friday night (2.5 mg Wegovy) second weigh in yesterday morning. Had only lost 1lb 🙁 I felt a bit demoralised as had been averaging 1000 to 1200 cal per day and 10,000 steps each day as well. With last weeks 4lb loss it’s a 5lb In total, but I had hoped for more this week….
