I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

5th jab done this evening. Bought the syringes with needles recommended on here and did the “golden” dose! A perfect amount to match a normal dose.

I’ve got my next pen ready to start next week - staying on 2.5

RoundandSad · 21/11/2025 20:16

@PatheticDistraction oh well tomorrow will be better

I stopped eating stuff like that ages ago, but it only made a few pounds difference. I agonised over trying this but the I felt like I changed my diet a lot and only lost a few pounds so that was the decider

I'm still puzzled that changing my diet didn't result in a bigger loss but I guess it's going in the right direction now, even if it's really slow it's not as slow as it was in the summer!

Springbaby2023 · 21/11/2025 20:17

@PatheticDistraction that doesn’t sound too bad? I think if you ate perfectly 100% of time when on MJ then you’d find it harder to come off, all about learning how to have everything in moderation. It’s why I don’t want to lose weight too quickly, I want it to be sustainable when I stop else what’s the point. But everyone else seems to be eating a lot lower calories than me so I think I’m in the minority.

Springbaby2023 · 21/11/2025 20:19

@IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble well done that’s great! I’m definitely feeling more suppression after the second, but not quite got into a routine. I keep going too long between meals and then feeling crap for it. Also can’t seem to stop the milky coffees at work which add the calories on.

IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble · 21/11/2025 20:28

@Springbaby2023 its difficult when you’re not feeling hungry to even remember to eat, so easily done. I’ve only been into the office once this week so thats definitely helped me get into a routine, if I’d been out every day it would have been much harder.

I’ve got one of those little dolce gustos machines & would ordinarily have a sugar free sweet coffee instead of eating chocolate. I’ve not touched it this week but I know I’ll find it hard to walk past the coffee shop near work. It’s a habit & I love a milky flavoured coffee. You have to have something you love though right?!

Fifiellz · 21/11/2025 20:31

@Nov25 I don’t think it’s hormonal, not usually at this point in my cycle. I think it’s a mix between my body catching up after the big loss and not drinking any where near enough water!

Ah yes, water water water!!

Springbaby2023 · 21/11/2025 20:59

@IDidntFloatUpTheLaganInABubble Exactly that. To be fair at home I’m happy with normal coffee, it’s just the office canteen does a great cappuccino that’s hard to resist, but to be fair I’m still just making it part of my calorie intake, just not the most nutritious calories. I feel like December anyway is going to be hard to stick to a routine with Christmas parties etc which is why I’m going to stick at 2.5, just ordered my second dose.

tobee · 21/11/2025 22:02

So day 4 of jab 2. Really haven't had anything like the same suppression or full feeling this week. Still feels like I didn't actually jab this week.

The only thing I've had is no real feeling of desire for anything "bad" to eat. I mean I had a craving last night but it was for grapes lol!

I wonder what sensations jab 3 will bring? I've eaten sensibly. It wasn't a struggle as such but much more like week 2 of any normal diets where I'm in the zone.

I've done a bit of googling and it's not unusual to feel like this after jab 2. Thank goodness I've not had bad side effects on top.

But I'm in it for the long haul.

tobee · 21/11/2025 22:06

I'm still not sure re my second pen; 2.5 or trying 5 @Springbaby2023 .

It'd be a bummer if I got extreme suppression and bad side effects at Christmas.

Springbaby2023 · 21/11/2025 22:48

@tobee I absolutely love Christmas so I’d rather not chance it, would prefer to maintain and then be ready to go in January than to have complete suppression or nasty side effects! But it will be different for everyone depending on priorities and how they’ve reacted to 2.5 I guess.

66babe · 22/11/2025 08:15

Morning all , hope everyone is well . Not sure if I’m imagining it but after 1st jab Thursday PM - I do feel that I can easily avoid crap food - yesterday I ate
yoghurt with banana and blueberries
a slimming world lunch pot chilli with rice
chicken with peas carrots and noodles that I’d batch cooked before from freezer
had a hot chocolate drink before bed
maybe 2 l with water , coffee ?
Don’t really want to count calories but does that sound ok ?
Headache has now gone , no other side effects , looking forward to weekend off work and get out as I’ve wfh all week and feel stifled and so cold lol
Hows the other late November starters doing ?

RoundandSad · 22/11/2025 09:39

I had a funny turn in the middle of the night
Nausea and chills lasted about half an hour
Sounds silly, but it's really shaken me up

JustBeach · 22/11/2025 10:34

@RoundandSadthats not good! It’s worth consider that there are lots of bugs around, and so could easily be something else ? We have lots of people off with work with sickness or flu type symptoms .

Its really hard to answer re your food as it would vary massively from person to person (based on current weight/height etc). It doesnt sound like enough protein really and for weight loss for me (being short) would be too many calories I think.

For me using My Fitness Pal is more helpful for macros as much as calories, I have felt quite bloated this week and seen that my fibre is a quarter of what I should be eating, protein there or thereabouts now, carbs ok.

On MJ you will still only lose weight if your calorie intake is less than your maintenance calories.

SexyFrenchDepression · 22/11/2025 10:40

@RoundandSad I had a couple of days very early on where I felt very fluey, the nausea has improved this week (week 3 was the worst for me). I felt the worst when I wasnt eating enough calories, now I am having 900-1000 and feel so much more energetic (plus taking magnesium, collagen, B12 and creatine).

RoundandSad · 22/11/2025 10:52

thank you

It sounds silly, but it was just 40 minutes of feeling so unwell, I was lucky it passed

I injected yesterday morning, had breakfast, didn't feel like eating after that but did force myself to eat a bit of dinner

That was probably a mistake

Or maybe this would've happened anyway after the third injection

I was just thinking to myself "why am I doing this?" But it does seem to have passed.

I don't feel great this morning, but I don't feel horrific

definitely don't want to go up to 5mg

SexyFrenchDepression · 22/11/2025 10:54

End of week 3 weight in, really happy as have lost 10.3lb, big loss of 5.7lb in first week, then 2.2lb then 2.3lb.

I have still felt bloated but started on some fibre tablets and will maybe stop the creatine for a week and see if that helps. Pobably upping fruit and veg will help also.

I am worried about upping to 5 also, I will see if I get more than 0.6 out of 5th dose (although not hopeful now as I accidentally primed way too much) then may just to 3.75 for a bit.

JustBeach · 22/11/2025 18:36

What’s everyone’s thoughts on the extra dose? I’m really tempted because of how expensive it is, but I’m worried for some reason!

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 22/11/2025 18:42

I did 5th dose last week and got 0.8 ml so approx 3.33 dose out of my 2.5 pen. No issues and will now move up to the 5mg pen I’ve got ready in the fridges.

TBH, it’s less difficult than you’d think - I bought syringes on line and the used the syringe to extract everything left in the pen and checked what I got out before injecting.

its a significant saving and dependent on what you extract, a good step up dose.

tobee · 22/11/2025 18:47

I'm not worried about it per se but I'd have to go over the way you go about it a few times because I'm terrible about reading instructions.

tobee · 22/11/2025 18:47

I'm not worried about it per se but I'd have to go over the way you go about it a few times because I'm terrible about reading instructions.

Get everything ready 1st so syringe one swab all laid out, then same process as pen - use the swab to clean the red seal, use sterile syringe and insert the needle, then draw back the plunger to bring the liquid into the syringe - you may need to wiggle it in and out to get everything out of the pen.

then prime the syringe to remove air bubbles, and when you are ready, insert the needle into your chosen site. Press the plunger in slowly and wait as you would with the pen.

all done- syringe into the sharps bin, pen can go into household waste.

just take your time and don’t get flustered.

tobee · 22/11/2025 19:13

Thank you for those clear instructions @putthehamsterbackinitscage.

How did you choose which syringes to buy?

tobee · 22/11/2025 19:14

Sorry I just massively overthink everything!
