Just kicking off another thousand posts of encouragement and support!

@MeridaBrave what an arsehole! Exactly why I keep quiet too. We live in a very well researched bubble - most people still only know Ozempic and Sharon Osborne. Lots of young 20 somethings where I work only know it as something illegal you buy - I've heard it's sold in clubs! 😅 In which case they are doing clubbing all wrong these days...

New thread. First post re: lifting heavy. I mentioned on the other thread about lifting heavy for 6-8 reps and I was told it was bad advice. Clearly...

much the same here, to the point I think me with actual food in me weighs a kilo or so more than me without food. So if I’m ‘good’ I revert back to 65kg or just under, whereas normal eating means more like 66/67. That would be fine if it went no further but I worry it will!

I think I have done myself harm though and now have gallbladder issues, horrible explosive diarrhoea every 4-6 weeks as bile builds up and then irritates my colon. I suppose we all knew this was a risk but is it worth being thin for….?

Ha, we are exactly the same weight range. At my lowest, I was 63.5, but happy if I stay below 65. But when I titrated down to 2.5mg, I'd get to 66.5 and find it impossible to bring it down without moving back up to 5mg. Sigh. I do not so far have any obvious symptoms - but who knows what the long-term consequences will be! But losing the weight has brought be down below pre-diabetic levels, and I can fit into all my clothes again, and I feel energetic and well! Are you on 5mg too?

WishItWasDifferent25 · 31/05/2026 21:44

Yes exactly the same, 63.7 is the lowest I’ve seen on the scales. I’m 170cm and a small twelve or big ten and this really is perfectly fine. I’m on Wegovy so 1mg, which is the third level. I did go up to 1.7mg but that was the thing that caused my stomach to explode so that’s not an option. My 1mg I take every ten days. I don’t think it does anything at all at the moment. I’m raging hungry. But not quite willing to stop unless it gets worse!

It is stressful isn't it? I'm constantly wondering if I should brave it and stop, or continue indefinitely. I did manage to lose and keep the weight off earlier in my life, but hitting my late 40s just seems to have made all that much harder. Sigh. Good luck and keep us posted!

I'm starting to wonder about how to titrate down / stop. 5mg MJ was my highest dose for several months and then I reduced to 40 clicks of 5mg pens and have been stockpiling for a couple of months. Still got a few kgs to go I reckon but then need to plan my maintenance strategy. In other fabulous news I got a bikini on Vinted and it actually looks good. I'm 52 and haven't been able to wear a bikini since early 30s pre DC! 💪

I’ve titrated this pen to 24 clicks and the next one will be 21 clicks. I’m hovering around 61-62kg.

I’m wondering if the new pill version will be the answer to maintenance

AmberLime · 14/06/2026 21:23

Less option to microdose from a pill version.

I currently take 10mg from a 15m MJ pen - so one pen lasts me 7 1/2 weeks. When I taper down, I'm going to carry on ordering 15mg pens - so 7.5mg pw from a 15mg pen will last 8 weeks even without the golden dose. Cost per week therefore goes lower. You can't do that with pills, so for that reason I wouldn't use them.

Eventually you’ll have to take a gap. Eg when you look at the expiry dates and realise even with microdosing you’ll go beyond the date.

AmberLime · 16/06/2026 20:39

They have over 12 month expiry dates? I don't plan to use any that long.

My last pen had a Dec 26 expiry. Just saying eventually you need a gap / or stop.

AmberLime · 18/06/2026 21:04

Luckily Juniper allows for ordering every 8 weeks, and a pen generally lasts me about 8 weeks - so all good.

Anyhoo, not having the ability to be flexible with dosing is a reason I wouldn't move to the pills now. But, before I started WLI, I would have felt much better about starting in the first place if I went straight to pills rather than jabs. So I can see why they are a very good idea.

I'm coming up to 12 months (on 22nd July) and have lost over 7 stone, and I'm 4lb from healthy BMI. Quite excited to get there (hopefully) by my jabuversary. Then start thinking about tapering into maintenance.

WishItWasDifferent25 · 19/06/2026 22:27

7 stone is remarkable! I lost just under three with the first two stone going in the first few months and then the rest by Christmas. I’ve broadly maintained since, maybe a kilo up on my lightest I think. My point is actually that I found it just stopped working after six months or so, though never went to higher doses. Have you felt like you’ve had the suppression the whole time?

AmberLime · 20/06/2026 00:29

Have you felt like you’ve had the suppression the whole time?

Generally, yes once i found the right dose. I've also always been fairly flexible with how I dose. I went through my 2.5mg in 2 weeks, dosing ever 3 days from the outset because suppression was poor. My 5mh doses were every 5 days (which is equivalent to 7.5mg per week) and this worked. So stayed at 7.5mg every 7 days for ages (but went up pen sizes and microdosed, to make it cost effective).

Then upped to up to 10mg In January. Suppression is good but what I've noticed is a weekly pattern of 4 days under eat (I often fast for full days) and 3 days normal eat. I want to stop this up and down so I'm currently trailing daily jabs - 6 clicks of a 15mg pen (1.5mg) every day. I hope that the stable levels will stabilise my eating habits as I go into maintenance.
