Hi everyone... hope you're all well.

I jabbed on Thursday and my loss fif the week was 1.5kg / 3.3lbs

I think my sleep has been better and I'm making more of an effort with drinking water. Although, I only got to exercise once for the week as most of the classes ended up being cancelled. Maybe there is something in that... losing more weight but less exercise?

On Monday, after the only exercise class (Power Pump) I had... I ended up going for a spontaneous drink with my instructor and some of the ladies from the 2nd (Rebound) class that got cancelled. We stuck to Prosecco (instead of cocktails) and had some nibbles.

I've kind of realised this week that 5mg is actually working for me, even though I feel really hungry sometimes. For example, I went 10 hours without eating anything... I just didn't notice.
Also, one evening I felt like I could eat a horse and piled my plate high with the chicken chow mein / stir fry that I cooked. But in the end, I could only eat half of it.

Start weight: 121.4kg / 267.6lbs
Current weight: 108.4kg / 239lbs
Total loss: 13kg / 28.7lbs in 13 weeks
Goal weight: 79kg (might change)
Average weekly loss: 0.9kg / 1.9lbs

Week 1: -0.7kg / -1.5lbs
Week 2: -1.3kg / -2.9lbs
Week 3: -1.2kg / -2.6lbs
Week 4: -0.4kg / -0.9lbs
Week 5: -1.1kg / -2.4lbs
Week 6: -1.3kg / -2.9lbs
Week 7: -0.3kg / -0.7lbs
Week 8: -1.5kg / -3.3lbs
Week 9: -0.9kg / -2.0lbs
Week 10: 0.0kg / 0.0lbs
Week 11: -0.9kg / -2.0lbs
Week 12: -0.8kg / -1.8lbs
Week 13: -1.4kg / -3.1lbs
Week 14: 0.3kg / 0.7lbs
Week 15: -1.5kg / -3.3lbs

Crikey @maz99 , I’d kill for stats like that, and the ability to record them. Well done you. I lost a kilo this week and was absolutely thrilled, I’ve been losing a kilo a month since August. Hope I don’t get too derailed by Christmas, although I’m now on 12.5 and suppression/ satiety is much improved. I am so much more active though, so I’m hoping weight loss is slow as I convert fat to muscle. Maybe I should ask for fancy scales for Christmas.
NSV - I went with a friend to a charity shop and saw we had only 10 mins until closing, ran 200 metres to the shop, then walked back carrying the bookcase I bought. I couldn’t walk 100 metres with a stick 6 months ago. And I’m wearing size 14 jeans!
starting weight 25.4.2025 106.6 kilos
current weight 14.12.2025 83.8 kilos

Thanks!

I started by noting it down in a draft email so I could copy and paste here.
But I also have a spreadsheet (I work in IT with data) that helps me keep track of doses, pens and orders.

I hope to be where you are someday.

I fully expect you to go racing past me, quite soon!

ShrankLastWinter · 15/12/2025 07:14

@WeAllHaveWings that’s fantastic news, very well done!! How are you feeling?

RobinEllacotStrike · 15/12/2025 10:37

SecondCircuit · 14/12/2025 06:50

That’s a huge loss @WeAllHaveWings , congratulations!

Although I am losing weight steadily I’m still not exactly believing I will ever be noticeably slimmer. My 15kg loss (of 100) is not really noticed yet and I think I will need a solid loss of at least 4 stones for others to register a change in my appearance.

We've all been there @SecondCircuit - all the big losers on these threads have posted the same thing as you at one point.

Keep the faith & keep going. It's working and before you know it the "kitchen roll" effect will kick in. Its all too real.

I had all the work Xmas parties last week - three of them!! One night of drinks and pizza, 2 x three course boozy lunches. Not much sleep.

My Cher inspirted outfit for the big party was fantastic - never have I had so many compliments on a dress but more than that nearly every woman there checked out the dress with appreciative looks. Not me, the dress. I've not really experienced that before - huge hit & I loved wearing it. I wore platforms too so was about 5'11'' tall & I felt like a golden goddess.

Last Xmas I had lost 20kgs and was feeling fantastic. This Xmas I've lost 47kilos and I am a hairs breath from being "normal" BMI. There was quite a lot of fuss and attention from many people I've not seen for a while. People were being very nice but I'm ready for the attention to stop now. Its nice to be complimented & noticed but I'm ready for this to be new "normal" now.

I've not weighed but I've reached the last hole on my belt again - I've added 5 new holes to this belt over the last year (after it being marginally too small), and my hip/waist ratio is creeping towards "normal" too. My fabulous size 14 jeans are almost too baggy now - I've been trying to find the size down on vinted but no luck.

Will I soon be "normal" for the first time in my adult life?

This weeks Xmas activities are more yoga based - I've got a winter solstice yoga/sound bath event next weekend, sober dancing Xmas edition, and after 5 days of no yoga for various reasons, I am back to my usual daily practice this morning. A lovely & very welcome return.

RobinEllacotStrike · 15/12/2025 10:52

@Zebracat that is really a life changing NSV - love it!!! 💐

GiveMeWordGames · 15/12/2025 12:18

That's a fab NSV @Zebracat and MASSIVE hurrah for normal BMI @WeAllHaveWings . Well done! @maz99 you're doing brilliantly. It sounds like you looking amazing in your party outfit @RobinEllacotStrike

I am edging ever closer to normal BMI and being in the 11s. 1.25 lbs off since last Tuesday. At 38 weeks:

SW 17st 4
CW 12st 2.25
GW 11-12st

I should be delighted and I am but I've had a mammogram recall which has put a bit of a dent in my Xmas spirit. I was diagnosed with DCIS three years ago, off of my first ever screening mammogram and follow up biopsies etc. Low grade, only needed a lumpectomy, no radio or chemo, and then annual mammograms for 5 years. Purely due to the timing of the original op, they're always in the run up to Christmas and this year's was last Monday. Phone call on Friday morning to get me back in this Thursday for more detailed mammogram with option for biopsy. I called the Breast Unit and spoke with a lovely nurse who gave me more details and said it's due only to "an increase in flecks of calcification".

I am almost CERTAIN this is going to be weight loss related. A bit of googling tells me that dramatic weight loss can cause recalls and the anecdotal evidence on Reddit certainly shows a lot of women in the US who have lost similar amounts to me on WLI (70+lbs) getting recalled. I even mentioned the weight loss on Monday at the scan. Well, I'm trying to tell myself this, anyway. But it's impossible not to worry.

I'm also pissed off in a VERY shallow way because I'm out with friends on Friday night and was thinking of wearing a lovely new dress that fits me like a glove from Roman but it's quite low cut and if they stab me with a biopsy then that's out. 😠

SecondCircuit · 15/12/2025 13:40

Thank you @TheSlimmingPumpkin and @RobinEllacotStrike for encouraging words. Yes, the kitchen paper analogy has been mentioned here few times before.
Patience and more patience required🙂

@GiveMeWordGames - that is a worry, but most likely weight loss related. Fingers crossed.

ShrankLastWinter · 15/12/2025 15:20

@GiveMeWordGames all the best for Thursday. Will be hoping for and expecting reassuring news.

MooBaggage · 15/12/2025 22:04

@GiveMeWordGames I'm sorry you're going to be worrying this week - really hope Thursday goes well and the news is all good - do you think they'll tell you on the day? Hopefully they will, so you don't have longer to wait - will keep fingers crossed all is good xx

Thank you, and @ShrankLastWinter and @SecondCircuit .

There'll be a consultant radiologist there and if they're happy with what the more detailed scan shows then I'll know then and there because they won't progress to a biopsy and I can toddle home unstabbed and mind at rest. If it goes to a biopsy then it will drag on until after Christmas probably to get the results.

At least radiology is unaffected by the Drs strike, so that's one good thing.

GiveMeWordGames · 17/12/2025 09:39

Anyway, please keep chatting about NSVs and losses and navigating a MJ Christmas everyone.😊 I only mentioned what's going on with me because I'm so sure it's related to weight loss and others might encounter the same thing at some point.

We now have Xmas sweet stuff in the house and I'm doing very well just having the odd little dark chocolate coated ginger nugget or a lebkuchen with a cup of tea. Genuinely not wanting to graze on chocs all day is a festive revelation. 😁

NotsosunnyShropshire · 17/12/2025 11:44

Had a HUGE whoosh this week just in time for last weekends work Christmas party. Biggest since my first week in fact.

More and more people are definitely noticing the weightloss now that I’m at just under 60lbs off since last April.

Now firmly in size 18’s (down from 24). Also definitely need to go bra shopping again in the January sales as my new ones are already a little loose around the band (36 down from 40) and a little more loose in the cup.

RobinEllacotStrike · 17/12/2025 13:04

@GiveMeWordGames best of luck for tomnorrow.

@NotsosunnyShropshire love a big woosh!!!

I've got no "Xmas food" in yet. My kids aren't that fussed about it all, but I will get a few treats in for next week. A few years ago I had a "fuck it I give up" Christmas and ate chocks/mince pies etc every day all of December. Put on much weight. This seems unfathomable behaviour now - like another planet.

I will get some fancy crackers & cheeses and much nice fruit. Loving the tasty sweet easy peelers at this time of year. Still ahving a pomegranate and 🥝🥝 every day.

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 17/12/2025 16:26

I have two tubs of celebrations and heroes in my office/study which have been unopened since Halloween. Unimaginable in my pre-MJ days. DH keeps looking as he likes a chocolate occasionally but he can eat 2 or 3 and then leave a tub for days whereas pre-MJ I would easily empty a tub on my own in three days. I just don’t want to risk opening them. The plan is to gift them over the Christmas period.

On top of that there is an unopened packet of mince pies in the cupboard. It has been sat there for two weeks.

And I haven’t purchased one of those nibbly snack platter things yet. Again they were a regular purchase once the December started and we would share them as part of some sort of picky meal.

I reckon MJ, in spite of the price increase, still saves us money in December compared to what I used to spend on food and alcohol.

MooBaggage · 17/12/2025 22:57

After a 13 day very annoying stall, I have finally lost just over 1lb and have made it to the magical BMI of exactly 30!! I am officially no longer obese!

13.1.25 SW 20st 3lbs BMI 43.0
17.12.25 CW 14st 2lb BMI 30.0

That's also now given me a loss of just over 30% of my body weight.

Am v relieved to have broken the mini stall as I have no patience whatsoever...

It feels unreal - I'm only 6lbs off what was my original target. Months later I set a new target of BMI of 24 and I have 40lb more to lose to get there. But it will happen!

Love and luck to all over the next couple of weeks - KBO and it will happen 💪

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 17/12/2025 23:09

That’s great news @MooBaggage reaching a BMI of 30.

i feel as though I am dragging myself by fingernails to reach a BMI of 26, still hoping to get under 10 stone for Christmas only half a pound to go. But we have 4 family birthdays in December and 2 in early January which combined we all the Christmas and New Year stuff so tough going.

SecondCircuit · 18/12/2025 02:53

It must be wonderful feeling @MooBaggage! I envy you. You got it right in time for Christmas. That’s a nice round milestone💪💪

I am currently unable to sleep (again!) due to having too much food at Christmas dinner last night. I’m not even stepping on the scales these days as the whole last week was similar.
I know I haven’t lost anything and I don’t want to see any gain.

At home, fridge is already stuffed to the brim with the good things (a must as DC home from uni, homesick and expecting super duper homemade meals), only sweet bits are gathering dust - gyulian chocs, mince pies, panettone, F&M biscuits, Lindt pistachio chocs as we aren’t really a sweet tooth family. Pre MJ I probably would have had some mince pies as that is an exception and I love a good mince pie but now I can look and pass them with no affection.

Anyway, I’ll try to fight the heartburn somehow and go back to sleep. And have a better start tomorrow.

Keep losing ladies and keep updating!

Sam187 · 18/12/2025 08:41

Hi all,

Haven't posted in a while but have been creeping. Glad to see everyone doing so well.

I am frustratingly lose to double figures in kgs (100.2kg this morning). Really hoping I get it over the next couple of days.

I am however now over the 3st hurdle (3st 1.5lbs loss) after moving up to 7.5mg 2 weeks ago, just the bump I needed. Feeling pretty good for it. My BMI is now 34.6, from 42.

226 days into the steps streak and on Week 4 of c25k!! This week has been the most running yet. I'm both shocked and proud in equal measure, that I've actually been able to do it.

Pretty quite Christmas planned our end, so looking forward to lots of chilling, walking, running and reading. I'm even planning a Christmas morning run - unheard of!! 😂

Hope everyone is doing well and continues to thrivethrough Xmas 🎄

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 18/12/2025 09:33

I completed c25k a month ago and now making sure I still do a couple of runs a week @Sam187. There is no way I could have done it when I was 5 stone heavier with a BMI of 41.4. So keep going 💪🏻

MooBaggage · 18/12/2025 10:08

@Sam187 you're doing so well! Isn't it great when the BMI is under 35..! I love all the milestones - and our starting BMI was similar, so I know how different you'll be starting to look and feel too 😍 The steps and running stuff is v impressive - I'm doing much less well on the fitness front at the moment - have stopped doing my coffee making weights and am not using the leisure club I've joined... Need to have a word with myself and get back to it all 🙄

OP posts:
GiveMeWordGames · 18/12/2025 17:29

Congrats on having lost almost a third of yourself and being officially only overweight @MooBaggage ! And well done on cracking a 3 stone loss, @Sam187

I am relaxing at home, they did do a biopsy but everything they said made it sound like this is about being uber cautious and belt and braces. I won't hear anything now for at least two weeks, probably more, so I'm putting it to the back of my mind and enjoying the fact I weighed in at 12st 1lb this morning. 2 lbs to get into the 11s! 💪

Being out tomorrow, friends and food and booze, may mess with that of course but I'll take it for now. 😁

DottyMcDiet · 18/12/2025 19:23

Congratulations @MooBaggage that’s fantastic! 😁

It’ll happen for you in the New Year @Sam187 and you’ll see double figures.
I’ve just got under 100kg and am terrified of going back over this due to inevitable Christmas indulgences. 😱
