It's so exciting to wear "normal" clothes, isn't it @Fffreeeeezing?

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne you're right- on checking my elephant penis status however I am nearly at x1.5 of those, only 3lb until I'm at newborn calf level though 🤷🏼‍♀️

In breaking news, I just pulled a size 18 pair of jeans from the bottom of my wardrobe and thought I'd see how far up my thighs I could now pull them. They glided straight on and fit perfectly, didn't even have to breath in/lie down /yank the fabric together to do up the button. I then felt brave and tried a size 18 pair of skinny jeans and they fit too, in fact I'm wearing them now and they are so comfy, I've missed these 🥰. I'm wearing an outfit today that is entirely non plus size brands and I plan on never going back. Yours, SImply Be, Evans, any 'Curve' range can do one from here on in!

I'm getting to the same point
I bought a pair of jeans from Tesco today ..and I wasn't the biggest size they do .
I have an account with simply be ,where I pay after I keep it ,and I've not bought anything from them since I ordered some dresses in the summer .
I think they owe me some money,I'm thinking of closing the account,as I just send anything back I order from there ..
Suddenly there's so much choice now I'm buying a size 20

Police raid in Northampton this week on an unregulated WLI production facility. They have seized drugs, pens and raw materials.

Worryingly, not just tirzepatide but also a new drug which is still in trials and not due to be released until next year.

Of course as this is all illegal the ingredients could in reality be absolutely anything.

Wow, that's scary.

It is because these types of operations pose a huge risk. Dodgy ingredients, dodgy hygiene.

I feel really sad 😞 a HCA here in this hospital I got close to during my last stay looks incredibly unwell. She was tiny last year (tall, 5.10 I think) but so so slim, not a cm of fat. Anyway I was shocked to see she is clearly very unwell now and assumed anorexia. She’s just told me she’s been buying WLI ‘under the counter’ from her botox/beauty salon. She said it’s segulmatide or whatever it’s called, comes in a small bottle you use insulin needles with.

Why 😢 she’s honestly gorgeous, 25, in final year of uni, she’s so smart! The last person I imagined doing this.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 25/10/2025 14:38

Well I’ve had a tough couple of MJ weeks… the diarrhoea finally let up (4 days a total write off across a week), I had 2 good days and then made the fatal mistake of a couple of glasses of wine… it has triggered a horrendous bout of acid reflux which has meant I’ve spent most of the week on the sofa or lying down - for some reason it gets much worse if I stand up. I was already on daily esomeprazole…

I really do feel like I’m battling to lose as much weight as I can before the side effects finally get too much for me, I have to admit being a bit envious of those with few side effects, it’s feeling quite miserable at present. it’s a good job I was made redundant and am not working currently!

I haven’t taken my jab due yesterday, going to give it a few days for the reflux to hopefully settle and then drop the dose a little again I think - I had finally made it to 5mg, maybe I’ll go back to 4. I spoke to my pharmacy and they have recommended doubling the esomeprazole dose for a week, fingers crossed that sorts it. No more wine for me!

However there is always a win and I’ve lost 9lb these last two weeks and today saw a BMI of 39.9 for the first time in five years!

mamabeeboo · 25/10/2025 15:53

@GnomeDePlume the new drug retatrude has been doing the rounds on social media. I have been wondering where people are getting it from...

GnomeDePlume · 25/10/2025 16:07

@mamabeeboo hell's teeth! It's not licensed yet, still in trials. I would say that there is a good chance that what people are buying isnt the real thing at all. Could be anything at all.

OvertiredandConfused · 25/10/2025 17:28

End of week 2 on 12.5mg and I’ll need to order my next couple of pens soon so I need to start thinking about Christmas and what I want to do then.

Looking for advice for people who were injecting over Christmas last year. I definitely don’t want to stop and I don’t want to put myself in a position where I eat lots and lots of food. However, I do want to be able to enjoy a few meals and a few drinks without making myself ill. I’ve got no problem with maintaining or even gaining a few lbs as long as it is a few and I can get back on track on 3rd January

Would it make more sense to space out the doses? Or do half a dose on 21st and 28th? Or any other suggestions?

Thank you

Lds1 · 25/10/2025 21:24

@OvertiredandConfused I just continued as normal over last Christmas but I was only on 7.5mg then. This year I'm also on 12.5 and intend to just continue with my normal schedule

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 25/10/2025 22:06

@OvertiredandConfused
I didn't do anything particular (with regard to MJ dosage or times/days of injecting) over Christmas. Just carried on, and ate as usual; I had a turkey dinner, but ate smaller portions.
I did have some chox and a glass of champagne though.
I really enjoyed last Christmas!

I remember that I weighed 14st and thought I was really skinny.

Same as @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne but I weighed more 😭.

NSV for me!

I’m wearing some very old Seasalt trousers. They’re marked as a 16 but they fit Although I’m mostly an 18 at the moment. These are one thing I’ve been longing to get back in to. They’re a gorgeous dark inky blue and I love them.

I feel very pleased today!

Edited

I have some of their Jumbo cord cutoffs that I love. A navy pair and a mustard yellow pair.

It really is. Is it an eating disorder facility where you are? My friend currently weighs 5 stone and is being forced fed in hospital it's so sad what we go through mentally. I often think it's not about weight at all.

PearlTeapot · 25/10/2025 23:59

@Doggymummar no it’s not. Just general psych. I think she needs to be in here!

PearlTeapot · 25/10/2025 23:59

Ps sorry about your friend. Wishing her well.

Christmas was always a time I over indulged , basically it was an excuse to eat untill I popped, because everyone else was eating more to.
But I took it to the extreme ,it wasn't Christmas if I wasn't over indulging ,crisps..tubes of pringles and dips every day .
I'm on 15 mg of monjroro and intend to have doses slightly more together once we get near the main Christmas week.
i have so much weight to still loose I don't want Christmas to derail me .
Last year was my first Christmas on mj ..and it went well ,I was able to enjoy a little Christmas food and stop before I got uncomfortably full

I bought about 10 packs of diarrhoea stop tablets of Amazon..and they did the job when I had the runs ..don't know if I had a bug or side effects..but three tablets spaced out ,did the trick for me ..at one point it was literally just water coming out of me ..( sorry TMI )
They were not expensive..you get some in ,incase it happens again ..I carry them in my bag ,just incase

Thanks - yes I used Immodium, which did the job after a few hours each time, it’s just then it happened all over again a couple of days later, and then a couple of days later etc. 4 times. Thought it was never going to stop and left me scared to go out or do anything 😭

GnomeDePlume · 26/10/2025 09:07

Im another with things on the move. I dont think it is mounjaro in particular. I take a lot of different medications and mounjaro seems to have affected how/when they are absorbed. And to add to the mix, I have a cold so Im taking paracetamol and decongestent.

DH has been known to call my tablet taking at bedtime 'cocktail hour' and ask if Im going to add a little umbrella and a cherry on a stick.

I take 4 loperamide (Imodium) all at once if diarrhoea is severe.

@Autumnflowers2 is right, they're much, much cheaper on Amazon and Ebay.

If I took 4 immodium at once I'd probably not shit for a month! Traumatised by the time I took 2 in a day and didn't go for weeks. Ground me to a halt.

If that happens, I just take senna.
I've figured out to a nicety what I need to take for various situations while on MJ.
